Hmmm, not as many reviews as usual, meh whatever, this story is still one of my best and I have spent to long of a time invested in this story with so much more to come.
There's a special surprise coming up in this story. Well more like a couple since there will be resounding effects throughout the Mass Effect Universe.
More villains, more heroes, more grandiose mayhem.
I have this image in my head now of Garrus, Tali and Spider-man flying through space. Wonder if I can have someone draw that for me. Can I? Hey where can I find someone to do that for me? That would be awesome!
Now there is something that has been not really bugging me, but making me go "really?" in a slightly 'ok, whatever you say' manner. Some times I get reviews that are so critical and nitpicky that make me think, even though I'm trying my hardest h ere in terms of writing, grammar and storytelling, in the end, this is just fan fiction. It's not some bestselling novel, it's just me writing on what I like.
Alright, been kinda holding that in for a while cause I see all the criticism and nitpicks sometimes and while certain times it's justified, others times it's like why do you care about those small nuances?
On a more lighter tone, MY GOD, First, Wonder Woman was a fucking phenomenal film then Marvel Drops Black Panther and soon after SPIDER-MAN HOMECOMING. UGH I LOVE THAT MOVIE SO MUCH

Along Came a Spider Chapter 24: Lockdown Part 3 Suicidal Rescue Mission, right up our alley!
"Ow" Peter groaned out, feeling himself return to consciousness "Did anyone get the license plate of the plane that hit me?"
Starting to get an idea of his baring's, Spider-man felt cold metal clamped around both his legs and hands. He was outstretched and held in the air.
Shaking his head, Peter began to see his vision clearing out of its blur and checked over himself.
He still had his armor and black suit on but he was currently held in a cylindrical prison pod with a blue energy surrounding him.
"Ok, what's with the medieval bondage fetish?" Spider-man joked "Seriously, I know everyone has their shtick but uh, what's the safe word?"
"You have quite a mouth on you, other worlder" A metallic voice interrupted his chatter "My processors nearly had some moments of difficulty in your speech. Then again, all Spider-men are known for excessive speaking"
"Oh so you know about my work huh? That's great to know, I usually perform on Sundays and Saturdays at this bar on the citadel. Have tried the veil? It's incredible"
"While I have every urge to blast that rampant mouth off your face, I have some ethics at least"
"Wow, a man…bot….decepticon with a sense of honor" Spider-man said "What luck for myself. A good transformer"
"Why do you refer to me as this Transformer?" The large mechanical being stepped into the light revealing it to be Lockdown "Is that some sort of name that you have for my kind in your reality?"
"Well, to be honest we haven't encountered anything like you in the real world"
"What?"
"Where I'm from, you're a toy for children" Peter said cheekily "You're nothing more than entertainment that has been around since the 80's. Though there was never anything like this. You must be one of a kind then"
Lockdown just stared at the hero who just didn't seem to know when to shut up. So Lockdown did what he thought was an adequate response to being called a toy.
He shocked the ever loving hell out of Spider-man, which garnered a spastic reaction from his suit as well.
"Ok" Peter murmured weakly "You're worse than a decepticon. You're an asshole"
"I" Lockdown said "Am a keeper. Created by the Living Tribunal himself to keep order throughout this universe"
That caught Peter's undivided attention.
"Wait a minute, what did you just say?!" Peter said "The Living Tribunal created you?!"
"Indeed he did" Lockdown said, holding out his hand.
A small white orb flickered just above his palm.
"Before the start of existence, there was nothing" Lockdown began only to be interrupted by Spider-man
"Uh, dude, not to interrupt or anything, but if you're referring to the big bang then I know about that already" Peter said "Can we just cut ahead to why exactly you're here and why you've captured me?"
Lockdown could only roll his eyes in annoyance, the light in his palm expanding to surround the area.
"Very well then" Lockdown said irritably "As time went on, the multiverse began to take shape. Infinite possibilities and realities with very few rare exceptions of one of a kind realities. This was once one of them. It established itself as a balance to counteract the infinite possibilities. Though far and few in between, these one of a kind universes held great importance in maintaining the order of the multiverse. As such, the living tribunal went to each of these universes created the keepers. Our job was simple, our purpose ingrained into our heads. Maintain the laws of the reality we have been assigned to and keep it from branching out to becoming a new multiverse"
"Hang on, so the living Tribunal made you?" Peter asked in surprise
"Indeed he did" Lockdown said "Since the dawn of this reality"
"Did he know about transformers or something?" Peter murmured to himself
"What?"
"Nothing, continue with your gripping tale" he waved off making Lockdown briefly electrocute him
"As I was saying. The tribunal tasked the keepers to maintain the laws of the singular realities" Lockdown went on "We were given omnipresence, which allowed is to keep tabs on everything that went on within our reality. Any anomalies that did not align with the laws of the universe were either taken, rectified, corrected or destroyed for their presence may cause great destabilization of our assigned universe"
"Destabilization?"
"If a singular, one of a kind universe begins to get multiple anomalies, multiple events that correlate with multiversal laws then that singular universe will collapse in on itself"
Something then clicked in Peter's mind
"Hang on, if that were to happen, then how is it that this universe is still intact?" Peter countered "Madame Web has already shown me that this universe is starting to get different versions of itself not just because of me but because of Shepard as well. How do you explain that?"
"I can't!" Lockdown snapped "That wasn't supposed to happen! Since your arrival along with others, the laws of this universe have been de-stabilizing and changing. Weaponry that would be ineffective against us can now prove harmful and events are playing out entirely differently than they were originally supposed to. Your own history has been altered as well"
"Huh?!"
"Enemies that you were to make from your original reality are now here. That suit that you wear is the last of its kind here for they exist in your reality and we exterminated them from ever taking route. The fact that it's alive is a miracle"
"Hang on a second" Peter cried out "Stop, listen I ain't gonna brag about how smart I am but can we slow down a bit? This is WAY too much information to be taking in all at once"
"You think you're having it bad" Lockdown growled, leaning in to stare down Spider-man "I keep seeing multiple branches of this universe now. So much information, so much uncertainty and possibilities"
Lockdown now held a dangerous glint in his eyes.
"So much work to do"
Lockdown left Spider-man in his cell.
The web head could only think of one thing now
'What the hell can he do now?'
The Normandy
"How's it coming along Tali?" Shepard asked, walking in on Tali fiddling with the controls of the damaged fighter that came from Lockdown's ship
"Well, aside everything being mostly intact and there's so much to do" Tali said light heartedly "Absolutely nothing is coming along"
Shepard deadpanned at her saying, shaking his head
"Shepard, this technology is beyond me" Tali stated "How am I supposed to figure something out that I don't even have a semblance on how it works"
"I don't know Tali, that's why I'm asking you" Shepard said lamely "Next to Peter, you're probably one of the smartest people on this ship"
"I've only just begun to get a grasp on the technology from Peter's reality"
"And look at how far you've come in that short amount of time" Shepard countered "You've made a suit that can fly in outer space and fire laser beams from the palm of your hands and chest. If anyone can figure out how to work these things, it's you"
Tali stared at the Spectre, slightly stunned at the level of praise he was giving her. Her resolve hardened and nodded to Shepard, diligently returning to her work on the fighter.
"Send Garrus down here" Tali said "He may be able to help me"
Nodding with a smirk, Shepard left the Mako bay, sending out a message to Garrus.
He went to the lunch area of the Normandy to find the rest of the team save for Garrus all sitting together, looking rather somber.
As he approached the table where they sat, Ashley let out a frustrated groan throwing down some comic books.
"Well, it's official" Ashley declared "There is no Lockdown of any kind in the Transformers franchise"
"That's what you've been researching the past few hours?" Shepard asked in incredulous amusement
"Hey if we're gonna be fighting transformers it's best we learn as much as we can about them" Ashley remarked
"But we've got nothing" Kaidan said "From the expanded lore, to the canon and non-canon, there is no mention of a transformer character 'Lockdown' in the franchise"
"So we're fighting blind here?" Wrex said
"Not necessarily" Liara said "Though they have a many great deal of advantages over us we do know that we can hurt them, albeit with slight difficulty"
"Slight difficulty?" Wrex said
"We did take down one of them with our biotics" Kaidan said "But that took three of us and I'm pretty sure we felt drained by the end"
"Not denying that" Shepard admitted. He didn't say it out loud at the time but he actually felt his body spaz several times after using his biotics to rip a bots head clean off. He actually felt pain from the strain
"Indeed" Liara nodded, shivering slightly "As small as a victory that was, the after effects were unpleasant"
"So what do we do now?" Ashley asked Shepard
"Don't really know" Shepard admitted "Joker has been doing 'patrols' around the area, and is going to go to past locations to see if we can find anything. Energy readings, scraps, anything at all that we can use to find Lockdown and Spider-man"
"Didn't that tall bastard say something about you as well Shepard?" Wrex said
"Hmmm?"
"When we first ran into him, he said that you're also a problem" Wrex stated "Meaning that Spidey ain't the only one on his hit list"
"You think he'll come back for Shepard?" Liara asked nervously, placing her hand on Shepards arm
"I know he will" Wrex said, confidently grim "After everything that web lady in the chair told us, things are shifting at a more rapid pace in this galaxy. And we're all a part of it"
The team sat in silence from that moment on, until they went to their separate areas to make sure they were prepared for whatever may happen.
Tali had been taking apart the fighter piece by piece with Garrus, giving every detail a thorough examination before moving on to the next one.
The Quarian couldn't help but sigh in frustration and mental exhaustion.
"Tali?" Garrus spoke up "Are you alright?"
She wanted to wave it off and say no. But lying to Garrus was difficult. Over the past year now, Garrus, Peter and Shepard had become her closest friends in years. Whilst she holds the bonds with the others very dearly as well, it's with these three that she feels an especially significant bond.
"No Garrus" Tali said, hands drooping to her sides "No I am not"
"I feel like asking what's wrong, but I'm pretty confident that's not gonna help considering what we're doing" Garrus said
Tali only looked over to him and smiled beneath her helmet.
"I know Garrus" Tali said "It's why I'm friends with you. I'm glad you're here to help"
"Always ready to help a friend out" Garrus said sincerely "I just wish it was you and peter doing this. The two of you are a pair of mad genius's with this tech"
"Hay" Tali chided lightly "Don't knock yourself down so much. You're pretty proficient with tech yourself. You built that flying motorcycle all by yourself"
"That took me a while, a few years at least" Garrus said "You and Peter on the other hand upgraded all of our suits and weaponry in a matter of months, weeks even"
"Now that you mention it"
"Don't rub it in" Garrus deadpanned
The two then laughed, feeling some of the tension leave the room.
Tali sighed "I do hope Peter is ok. Keelah knows what's happening to him"
"He's probably chatting their ears off" Garrus said nonchalantly "It's what he's best at"
With Spider-man
"ACHOO" Peter sneezed sniffling "Ugh, man. That came out of nowhere. So as I was saying, the original suit used to make me chafe like crazy and I mean it really got up in there. To the point where baby powder was something I bought by the box load"
The guard that was currently standing by Peter's cell felt the inexplicable urge to bang his head against the wall or turn off his hearing functions for just a moment
Normandy
Tali couldn't help but giggle at the thought of that.
"He is an unconventional hostage" Tali said
"Heh" Garrus fiddled with a piece of equipment, squinting as he tried to get an idea on how it functioned
Tali on the other hand was staring intently at the controls of the fighter, the word 'unconventional' going over in her head repeatedly.
Tali then rushed out of the Mako bay, surprising Garrus who wanted to call out to her but decided against it.
"Must be something important" Garrus murmured
Tali ran to Joker who was casually cruising through open space, ready to hit the jets in an instant in case of trouble.
"Joker" Tali called out to him, making the Alliance pilot jump
"Jesus, Tali" Joker rubbed his chest "Don't scare me like that"
"Sorry" Tali said "I need some help from you"
"What is it?" Joker asked
"When you received the messages from lockdowns sightings, what exactly did you get?" Tali said "Like aside from dead zones, you got descriptions of the ship and the huge robots walking around right?"
"Right" Joker said, unsure of where this was going
"By any chance, did you also get some kinds of energy readings as well from the reports?" Tali said "Like something that we can detect with the right equipment"
"I'm not sure" joker began to catch on "But that doesn't mean we don't have it"
Joker began pulling up the reports that they had received following the sightings of Lockdown and where looking them over for anything that truly stood out until…
"Got it" Tali declared happily, moving to leave the cockpit "Tell the rest of the team to meet me in the Mako bay"
"You got it" Joker said, already sending out the message to the crew
Tali returned to the Mako bay to see Garrus inspecting the thrusters of the fighter. He saw Tali had come back.
"Ah, so I take it you've had a stroke of brilliance" Garrus said
"I think so" Tali said excitedly, getting back to work on the fighter with the information in hand
Soon after, the Normandy team arrived to find Tali standing in the center with a gleam in her eyes.
"I think I have a way for us to bring Lockdown back" Tali said straight away surprising the team
"How?" Shepard asked
Tali held up her data pad, displaying a video loop of some unusual lines.
"Lockdown's ships, henchmen and equipment in general each possess a unique energy that I've never seen before" Tali explained "An energy that doesn't exist anywhere in this galaxy"
"Meaning?" Ashley asked
"If I can replicate this energy, turn on this fighter or use this in anyway, we can lure Lockdown back and board his ship"
The team stared at Tali like she grew a second head.
"That's one of the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard" Wrex said "So how do we pull it off then?"
"It seems like a bit of a stretch" Liara added
"But we have some of their technology" Tali reminded "I have several tests I want to run starting with"
Tali pulled out the two pieces of the Tablet of Order and Chaos that they currently possessed.
"What the hell, you have that?" Kaidan exclaimed
"I got it from Peter cause I asked if I could study it" Tali said "Trying to figure out if we can understand it better, or find more pieces of it"
"Tali" Shepard said
"Right" Tali said "So Lockdown told us he was drawn to Peter because apparently he could detect 'anomalies' in this reality and that lead him to us. So what if we can makes this tablet let off some of its own energy, mingle around this fighter and perhaps set off some kind of homing beacon. When they first got here, it seemed like they had some trouble finding Peter right away. So instead of waiting for them to eventually come looking for Shepard like Lockdown probably intends to, let's get him right to us"
Now the team stared slightly slack jawed at Tali's proposal. It was so crazy and out there but at the same time
"Spirits hell Tali, you're a fucking genius" Garrus exclaimed, throwing his arm around her and lightly lifted her up the ground in praise.
Tali blushed with embarrassment which only grew as the rest of the crew tacked on their compliments.
"You're a mad genius Tali" Wrex said with a barking laugh
"Truly amazing" Liara said with amazement
"Fuckin eh, I bet we've got the smartest Quarian in the galaxy" Ashley said, nudging Kaidan
"By this point, I wouldn't be surprised" Kaidan said with a grin
"You really pulled this on out of the bag Tali" Shepard praised, patting her on the shoulder "This was all you"
Tali was now clutching the sides of her 'face', now bashful.
"Guys" She squeaked out "You're the best"
"Ok Tali" Shepard Said "Now how will this work"
"Well" Tali rubbed the chin part of her helmet "When Peter and I studied the tablets, we couldn't get them to 'work' per say. Peter didn't wanna take the risk on the Normandy cause who knows what may happen if the two had their powers flare up. Last time we were lucky and got Madame Webb"
"This time however, we're pulling on the tail of the dragon" Kaidan grimly stated
"Indeed we are" Tali said with a nod, placing the two stones on the control panel of the fighter "Ok guys, Peter told me that the rocks reacted when Electro channeled his energy into them. So this time, I'm gonna need one of you guys to try focusing on 'channeling' your biotics into the rock. Liara, do you mind?"
"Me?" Liara said in slight surprise "Why me?"
"While Wrex, Kaidan and Shepard are proficient in their biotics, Asari have a natural connection to the use of it than any other species" Tali explained "It's almost second nature to you guys so you could say it's a form of energy"
"You got this Tali" Kaidan encouraged
"And if it's not enough, you guys chip in as well" Tali said to the other biotic users
"Gotcha" Wrex said
"Alright Liara" Tali said "Are you ready?"
Liara was slightly unsure but knowing her friends life was on the line, she didn't hesitate. Giving Tali a nod, the others backed away as Liara's biotics flared.
Slowly raising her hands, Liara concentrated on the two slabs of power. The biotic field surrounded them both and they levitated in the air.
Thinking about 'injecting' her power into the stones, Liara focused on trying to find maybe an opening or a crack of some kind to specifically target.
Her eyes landed on some of the intricate carvings on the rocks and settled for that.
It got the desired action as the two stones suddenly glowed a cyan like blue, their own unique energy flaring up.
The effect was instantaneous as fighter seemingly turned on.
"It worked" Tali cheered
"Holy hell" Kaidan whispered, very much astonished
"So should we use crazy ideas from now on?" Wrex asked the team
"Definitely leave it in the suggestion box" Ashley said
"Think we can use this thing?" Garrus asked, cautiously approaching the fighter to get a look at it
"Not sure really" Shepard said "Maybe we shouldn't"
"Or maybe we should" Wrex growled "That son of a bitch took one of us right in front of us and we couldn't do a damn thing about it"
"Yeah, I'd like to blast that asshole in the face if I could" Ashley said with equal anger
"Let's not get hasty here people" Shepard said to the team "For all we know, Lockdown may very well be on his way here"
"Uh Shepard" Garrus spoke up
"Hmmm?"
"I think you may be right" Garrus said to the Spectre, gesturing for him to come over.
Confused, Shepard came up to Garrus and glanced to where he was pointing.
From the control panel of the fighter ship came a distinct beeping sound.
"Um, what is that?" Ashley nervously asked
Shepards expression hardened "Our homing beacon. If this is happening…no doubt Lockdown will find out about this"
Scene cut
Lockdown was observing one of their newest acquisitions, noting it is a rather small trinket but he could feel the power radiating off from it.
He figured this may be a probable candidate as to why things are so skewed as they are right now.
Lockdown's internal thought process was interrupted when Fritz entered the 'trophy' room.
"Lockdown, I bring news"
"And that would be?" Lockdown said
"Our sensors have detected an energy that we once found earlier" Fritz said "Like Spider-man and our other prisoner"
"There is more to this I presume" Lockdown stated, knowing it to be a fact
"Indeed" Fritz nodded "The energy that we detected has also been found beside one our own"
Now this slightly alarmed Lockdown
"What do you mean?"
"A fighter that belongs to us is functioning right now without authorization next to the anomaly that we detected" Fritz elaborated "This leads me to only one logical conclusion. The crew of the ship known as the Normandy has salvaged one of our damaged fighters and reactivated it with the anomaly from Spider-man's universe. They may be using it gain an advantage over us"
Lockdowns optics narrowed.
"Prep the ship" Lockdown ordered "We shall accomplish both goals of retrieving our technology and our capture of John Shepard"
As Lockdown made his way past the many cells of his ship, passing one irritating occupant in particular that wasn't Spider-man.
"Hey Boy, are you just gonna leave me in this cell all the time" The prisoner shouted "A guy like me needs to stretch his legs sometimes"
Lockdown only rolled his eyes, pressing the silencer on the cell, no longer hearing the prisoners complaints and goading.
Lockdown entered the main control room, taking his seat in the control chair and locked in on the coordination of their wayward fighter and anomaly.
He knew that there was something unusual about this. It was clearly a trap of some kind. Or was it something else. Regardless, he knew that he was more than capable of handling whatever it was that these fleshlings were planning.
Lockdown couldn't help but slightly slap on his head as he felt an unusual spark with his neural processors. Shaking his head, Lockdown decided to focus on it later as he had bigger problems to deal with right now.
Peter in the meantime remained in his cell, hanging around boredly since his guard left.
"My god, is this what it's like to be taken hostage?" Peter remarked "Geez, first time being held prisoner and it's as dull as a school day. Might as well BE a school day"
It was then that Peter heard the sounds of engines and machines coming to life and the ship shifted
"Now where are we going?" Peter asked himself, feeling the ship begin to move
The Normandy
"Are you guys absolutely certain about this?" Joker asked nervously, piloting the Normandy around a cluster of rocks
"No more than we are certain of them coming for us" Shepard said, suited up for space
The rest of the team all had on their space gear on in the Mako Bay with the fighter.
Rather than speaking to them through the comms, Joker instead placed Normandy on auto-pilot and went to speak with them in person.
"It's just that…we've never faced anything like this before" Joker said, unusually serious "And I know that's saying something considering the insanity that we've already seen"
"Joker" Ashley said kindly "If it weren't for your physical disability, would you dive in headfirst to save a friend?"
"Hell yeah I would" Joker answered, feeling that question to be ridiculous
"Which is why we need you here" Shepard said "With your suicidal, but damn near perfect piloting abilities. We're gonna need you to do something crazy insane"
Something in Jokers mind clicked rather quickly
"Oh god" Joker groaned "Am I gonna have to fire at the Decepticons ship while you guys sneak on board?"
"Yup" Said Kaidan and Garrus at the same time
"Was this your idea?" Joker asked Shepard
"Nope, theirs" Shepard said, thumb to Kaidan and Garrus who waved
Joker only deadpanned at the two until he got a notification from his Omni-tool.
"Alright, we're approaching the asteroid field" Joker said to the team "Hope you're all ready"
"Born ready" Wrex said with a grin
Cocking his arms in a shotgun manner, armor began to construct itself around his arms and hands(Kinda like what Crossbones had in Civil War)
"Never gonna get tired of that" Wrex said gleefully
"Alright" Joker said to the team "Good luck out there guys"
Joker left the team as they gathered round the active fighter.
Tali had long since pocketed the two stones since they seemed to have 'turned off' and they would rather keep tools that had great power away from beings that already had that in spades.
And why did they know that Lockdown was on his way to get them? The beeping from the fighter had intensified and was now beeping twice every few seconds.
Soon after, Joker had informed them that they have arrived at their destination.
"Alright Joker" Shepard said "Drop us"
The floor beneath them retracted and they dropped into space with the fighter.
Using their biotics, built in air thrusters and Tali's own palm thrusters, the crew made their way over to the nearby cluster of asteroids and hid amongst their, making sure to keep in pace with the ship that aimlessly floated in the vacuum of space.
"Ah man, this is just too crazy" Ashley remarked, clinging onto a rock with Tali and Garrus
"You should have seen the two of us out here when we were fighting Lockdowns forces" Garrus said "Now that was some wild shit"
"Here here" Tali said
"So…." Kaidan spoke up "Do you think maybe we did this too soon? Even though we guess that they're coming, how will we know how soon that Lockdown would be here?"
"Well that's easy…." Shepard said only to go silent "Tali, you explain"
"Huh?" Tali blinked "Oh um…"
"Well, the beeping is getting louder" Tali explained, sounding more like she was trying to convince herself rather than the rest of the team "So, when it gets loud enough or repetitive enough we'll know he's near"
The team only stared at her.
"Hey don't judge me" Tali said indignantly "I at least thought of something, even if it was slapped together at the last minute"
Garrus and Shepard couldn't help but chortle at Tali's reaction.
And thus, the team remained out in space, floating around next to the fighter of Lockdowns ship. Occasionally, they drifted slightly farther apart from the fighter so the sent out three at a time to push the fighter back closer to them.
"Ugh" Ashley let out "How much longer do we have to…"
Suddenly a tear in space itself appeared, larger than anything they had ever seen before. And from that tear came Lockdowns gargantuan ship.
"Wait" Ashley finished meekly
"Jesus fuck, look at the size of that thing" Kaidan murmured in disbelief
"Goddess, it must be bigger than the Citadel"
Shepard didn't even hesitate in taking command
"Alright people, get ready" Shepard said as the ship drew near the fighter
"That's his main ship, right?" Wrex asked the team "Guy must be compensating for something"
Shepard in the meantime sent a message out Joker.
They saw the large ship send out a group of fighters towards the old damaged one.
"On my mark everyone" Shepard said and the team tensed up.
The other fighter began surrounding the old one and soon enough had cables latched on to it, pulling it back to the ship.
"Here we go" Shepard announced
No sooner had those words been uttered than the Normandy appeared from FTL and firing everything it had at the gigantic ship.
"Now" Shepard shouted and the team kicked off from their positions and floated over to the fighter that was currently being taken back by Lockdowns subordinates
They were successfully undetected by the bots and managed to wedge themselves underneath the large fighter while the rest of the ships quickly returned to the main one.
The Normandy proceeded to turn around and hightail it out of here.
"I can't believe this is working" Ashley whispered to the others
"Don't jinx us" Kaidan hissed
Soon, they were on the gargantuan ship and they immediately felt it lurch forward in pursuit of the Normandy.
The fighters quickly landed on their designated landing pads and the bots jumped out, running to their stations as the ship was chasing after the Normandy.
Carefully, the team snuck out of their hiding spots and marveled at where they were.
"Holy fucking shit" Ashley barely whispered out "We actually did it. We're on the ship"
"This is just to freaky" Garrus admitted, taking his time to spin around to get a grasp as to what he was looking at
"Oh man" Wrex couldn't help but chuckle "700 years and only in a year and a half I've done some insane shit"
"Makes ya wonder doesn't it" Shepard said "How quickly things can change. How much you experience in a short time"
Shepard finally shook himself out of his stupor and turned to Tali.
"Alright, we're in. Now what?"
"That's going to be a problem" Tali admitted, holding up her ID card "I can't get a lock on Peter at all. All this technology and energy is playing hell with my suit"
That alarmed Shepard greatly
"Is your Enviro suit functioning properly?" Shepard asked in great concern
"That it is, thankfully" Tali alleviating Shepard and the teams concern
"Can't get a read on my Omni-tool" Garrus added "Or my comms to Peter"
"So long as our essentials work" Liara pointed out
"We're breathing, means we're not dead" Kaidan said "Our short range comms are working"
"And all of our weaponry is intact" Wrex stated
"So let's take what we get and move out" Shepard said "Wrex, you and Kaidan are on point. Liara, you and I will back them up. Tali you'll be with us. Garrus, Ash, cover the rear"
Soon enough, the team was in formation and chose a random large corridor to go down.
They slowly walked down the long winding metallic hallway of the ship, clinging to the walls and any nooks and corners they could use as hiding spots should they encounter any patrols.
"This place is unreal" Ashley whispered, her eyes darting around the walls
It was lined with unusual looking pods and cells filled with god knows what.
"Yeah" Kaidan concurred "And to think, I bet Peter has seen crazier"
"No doubt about that" Wrex snorted
"But what do you think are in these pods?" Ashley asked the crew
"If I were to hazard a guess" Liara spoke up "Lockdown spoke of Shepard and Peter being anomalies that he had to take care of. It could be possible that this ship is a collection and prison of sorts to any and all anomalies that appeared in this universe"
"Keelah" Tali said "Who knows what can find here"
"I'm tempted to find out, but at the same time I'm terrified" Garrus stated
"I can agree with that" Shepard said, glancing at one of the pods. He saw movement in their but decided to shake his head, ignoring whatever it was that resided within.
Lockdown in the meantime was rolling his eyes in annoyance at these hit and run tactics that the ship owned by the other target was doing. It was only a matter of time that they would catch the ship.
But something was bothering Lockdown.
It would never take this long in capturing a ship such as this one. As matter of fact, whenever an anomaly occurred, the response was quick, precise and efficient. Always taken care of in a matter of minutes, hours, maximum a few days at most.
But capturing the Spider-man had taken nearly several months. And they had discovered that he had been here for now over a year.
This was unprecedented and deeply disconcerting
No matter. Lockdown would see to it that this mission was to be completed and after that, return this universe to the singularity it was always meant to be.
Still…that fact that those primitive beings managed to not only damage his subordinates and effectively kill one of them did not bode well for Lockdown. He would need to get to the bottom of this soon enough.
The Normandy crew continued down their chosen path, clearly lost as to what direction they should choose
"Spirits sake, does it ever end?" Garrus grunted after walking down yet another corridor that lead to god knows where in the ship
"For them, yes for us? Not so much" Shepard answered
"No signs, no nothing" Kaidan added
"Well it is their ship" Tali said "They should know their way around it"
"Still, I'd like to see something to guide us" Ashley said, leaning on a wall "Anything would do"
The wall she was leaning on suddenly opened and instinctively the team all leapt back and hid into the contraptions of the walls as quickly as possible.
Out walked several large bots with what appeared to be mutated hybrid quad pedaled creatures with mechanical limbs and spines with flesh in between.
The team shuddered at the sight of these creatures that were snarling about.
They followed their large masters down the opposite end from which the team had come from.
"Guys, let's check in here" Tali said and they all rushed into the room just as the door closed behind them
They found themselves inside a large circular room with the walls lined with 'display cases', each one holding a unique item of sorts ranging from the extremely large to absurdly small.
"Look at this place" Liara murmured
"Where are we?" Kaidan asked
"It must be some kind of…collection room" Liara said, approaching an unusual plant like shrubbery which had thorns on its leaves
"Collection room of what?" Wrex wondered, interested in some unusual shield looking piece
"Possibly artifacts, items or a myriad of things that they have acquired throughout this very universe" Liara guess, now staring at a large stone tablet that looked as though it was made from pure obsidian
"Could these be…you know, other anomalies that they've collected over the millennia?" Tali inquired
"Sure seems like it" Ashley commented "This is some wild shit"
"Hmph" Garrus said, grabbing an arrow out of its containment field "This must be something special then"
"Garrus" Shepard scolded "Don't take their shit. They may have some kind of alarm that could go off"
"Just wanted a souvenir" Garrus said, waggling the golden arrow in his hand "Besides I'm pretty sure they wouldn't notice a pointy stick missing"
"I wouldn't be too sure about that Garrus" Liara stated "They may have an inventory or some kind of way of keeping track of everything they possess on this ship"
"Still" Ashley mused, looking over something that looked like a cross between a gun and an axe "Some of this stuff seems pretty cool"
"Guys come on" Shepard said exasperatedly
"Eh, don't fight it Shepard" Wrex said now holding the shield that caught his eye "This stuff must be pretty powerful if they confiscated it. Why not take some of this shit and use it against them"
"Don't know how this arrow is of any use" Garrus wryly commented, sliding the thing in a 'pocket' within his chest plate now returning to the collection like a kid in a candy store "Maybe there is something in here for me"
Shepard only groaned but soon after decided they may have a point and as such began looking through the items on display.
"BY THE GODDESS" Liara exclaimed making everyone whirl round and point their guns in her direction
They saw she was gaping in disbelief and amazement at one of the cases, not really sure if what she was staring at was real or not.
"Liara" Shepard walked over to his lover in concern.
His eyes then landed at what caught her attention and he too gasped in amazement
"What" Garrus rushed over "What is it?"
Garrus then saw that it was none other than…
"That's a piece from the tablet of Order and Chaos" Garrus shouted in amazement
"What?" The rest of the team were now by their sides and saw that indeed it was.
Tali pulled out the two stones she had and held them up to the stone for extra confirmation. She got her answer in the form of the two stones glowing and resonating to the one floating in its case. There was a burst of energy a moment later proving indeed that it was another piece of the tablet.
The energy wave of course didn't come without repercussions.
Lockdown who was sitting in command detected said energy wave and was instantly on his feet.
"What is going on?' Lockdown demanded from his bots "Why is there an anomaly on my ship?"
"We have located the source" One of the pilots stated "Intruders in collection room bravo omega"
"What?" Lockdown snarled
"It appears to be none other than fleshling crew comprised of target John Shepard and his team"
Lockdown slightly balked at the news but didn't even hesitate in his orders
"The small ship was a distraction" Lockdown announced "Send out a warning. Bring me those intruders NOW"
Soon after, alarms were blaring across the ship which was heard by the Normandy crew
"Whelp, there goes the element of surprise" Garrus wryly stated
"Grab the stone" Shepard ordered and Tali snatched it out of the containment field
"Let's get the hell out of here" Shepard said to them
"How?" Kaidan asked
Shepard then noticed that there were large gaps all throughout the room and the ship
"Go through the gaps" Shepard said "It may lead us to Peter"
"Improvised but I'll take it" Ashley said
"And I hate to say this, but we gotta split up" Shepard said and raised his hand up to prevent any interruptions "We need to cover more ground and keep them off all of us. They know we're here. So let's cause some mayhem while we're at it"
The team hesitated but nodded in compliance
"Alright, Wrex, Liara Kaidan, you guys are with me" Shepard turn to the other three "You guys stick together. try blowing up some wires or anything that looks like a function on the ship"
"Roger that Skipper" Ash nodded with Garrus and Tali
"LET'S MOVE" Shepard shouted and the team separated
Shepard lead his team through a corridor on the left whilst Ashley lead hers through a corridor in the 12 o'clock position.
Shepard, Liara, Wrex and Kaidan squeezed out from the small crevice and proceeded to run in the first direction Shepard saw. Soon after they heard metallic shouts and metal meeting metal.
Kaidan briefly glanced back and saw small group of large bots pursuing them.
"HERE THEY COME" Kaidan shouted
"Are you sure it was a good idea in having all of us biotic users in one team?" Wrex asked abruptly
"Fuck, I can't believe I forgot about that" Shepard reprimanded himself
"They can take care of themselves" Liara said confidently "After all, Peter and Tali have upgraded their suits"
"Oh yeah" Wrex said, bringing out one of his arm gauntlets.
They were soon met with fire.
"SHIT" Kaidan yelled out, whirling back to fire back
He was shot at in turn but Liara brought up Biotics shield and saved him from a torrent of fire but she couldn't hold it for very long. The minute the shields went down, Shepard tackled Liara to the ground and Wrex and Kaidan dove for cover.
"Keep Running" Shepard shouted, scrambling back up to his feet with the others and they sprinted as fast as they could with the large bots hot on their tail.
Garrus, Tali and Ash were also running from their pursuers which happened to be those canine like metallic beasts.
They were faster than them so the trio had to rely on misdirection and abrupt changes in running in order to stave them off.
It worked but only so much as the beasts seemed to be learning and making it harder for them to escape their clutches.
Tali was now simply flying around, getting Garrus and Ashley out of harm's way mostly. She found that her repulsors were proving to be ineffective against them, only momentarily stunning them or making them twitch in discomfort.
So at the risk of her own power and suit, Tali turned up the force behind her blasts and aimed at one of the quad pedal creatures that ran at her.
The beast opened its mouth in order to bite down and kill Tali only for her to fire a dual repulsor beams into its mouth.
The beams went out one end and then blew up the beast in its entirety, splattering the poor Quarian with its green goopy blood and guts.
Garrus, Ashley and even the other hounds that were pursuing them paused momentarily to stare at the green goop blood and guts covered Tali.
She remained still until she began trembling uncontrollably before letting out a shrill squeal followed by intense flailing.
"KEELAH SE LAI EWWWWWW" Tali shrieked, shaking every part of her body like a woman possessed "KEELAH IT'S DISGUSTING! NOOO! IT'S GOING THROUGH MY FILTERS. URP I'M GONNA BE SICK"
Garrus used this unorthodox distraction in switching to his high velocity rounds and firing at the chase hounds with expert marksmanship, effectively killing their pursuers.
Ash and Garrus walked over to Tali but still their kept distance as the Quarian was still flicking off the green stuff.
"Oh man" Garrus's face wrinkled "I can smell that nastiness through my helmet"
"Same here" Ashley shuddered
"Urgh' Tali threw her arms and legs around "This is the worst rescue mission ever"
"Rescue mission?" Said a voice to the side
The trio turned to the source of the voice and saw…
…Blue skinned humanoid with an unusual Mohawk garbed in a trench coat and reddish attire overall.
At first they thought it was an Asari but all Asari were mono-gendered. This humanoid before them was clearly a male.
"Now I understand I look as pretty as an angel" the blue man with the Mohawk "But I sure as hell ain't one. I heard you guys were on a rescue mission"
"What's it to ya?" Ashley suspiciously asked
"Is that anyway to treat a friend who's in the same position as you?" He spoke cockily with a crooked grin
"You heard us say rescue mission" Garrus pointed out "And right now you're a prisoner here"
"Implying that it was done against my will" The blue man countered "And I'm guessing you're here to save a friend as well, ain't ya?"
The three couldn't deny his claims.
"Who are you?" Tali finally asked
"Yondu Udonta" The blue skinned man said with a lavish bow "Guardian of the Galaxy"
That name alone spoke volumes to the team of the Normandy
"Did you say Guardian of the Galaxy?" Garrus asked, wanting to be sure of those words
"Yer Damn right" Yondu stated, a sense of pride as he beat his chest with his fist "Was in the middle of a scuffle with a being known as Ego. But in the middle of the fight, there was some kind of huge wave of energy and next thing I knew I was on this icy planet with big jackass pointing a gun at me"
"If you say you're a Guardian of the Galaxy" Ashley interrogated "Have you ever heard of the Avengers?"
"The Avengers?" Yondu murmured, rubbing his chin in thought "Now that you mention it, Quill mentioned about some Iron guys joining up to help them out and they went back to Earth and met the bastards. I heard that Thor fella is a part of them"
"Well we're here to help break out a friend of ours" Garrus said to Yondu "If we break you out of here, will you help us?"
"If I could" Yondu remarked bitterly "That Son of a bitch took my weapon"
"And that would be?" Tali asked
"My arrow" Yondu replied "It's golden with red markings around it"
What Yondu got was them staring blankly before the girls turned to the tall male.
"Uh" Garrus pulled out an arrow "It wouldn't happen to be this would it?"
Now it was Yondu's turn to stare blankly at the Turian. He then snorted which turned into full blow laughter.
"Man, lot easier than the last time with twig" Yondu chortled
"So how do you use this thing then?" Garrus asked
Yondu grinned, positioning his teeth and lips in a certain manner
FWEET
The arrow glowed red, floating out of Garrus's hand, a red trail left behind from both ends.
Yondu whistled out a hypnotic tune as the arrow floated wobbly in the air.
Yondu then let out a sharp string of whistles.
The arrow jolted and flew at Yondu before it angled upwards in a 90 degree turn.
With every whistle, the arrow changed in direction tearing through anything that was within its path.
In a matter of seconds, the restraints of the cell were destroyed and Yondu Udonta was free once more.
The former Ravager turned Guardian stepped out from his holding cell and breathed in the 'freedom'.
"Now" Yondu looked to them "What's this about a rescue mission?"
Wrex roared in defiance, jumping down from a vantage point onto the head of a bot and fired his explosive round that Tali had given him prior to the start of this suicide mission.
"Biotics up everybody" Shepard shouted, switching to his primary rifle
The collective four threw up their biotics in a unified shield, holding back the brief barrage that the remaining bots had fired at them.
Shepard then unclipped smoke grenades and flash bangs, tossing them at the bots heads specifically.
The grenades went off but the Bots fired at them regardless
"They're robots Shepard" Kaidan yelled "How could you forget that?!"
"Duly noted" Shepard grunted out "Fall back NOW"
The four turned and high tailed it as fast they could run, hearing the bots shout at them.
The heavy footsteps echoed around them until all four abruptly dropped through a crevice that they did not see.
"WAH" They all yelled out, falling down into a cluster of wires that broke their fall.
Shepard didn't slow down, quickly clambering back up to his feet and moving over to help the others up.
"Not gonna take dumb luck for granted" Shepard said to Liara and Kaidan before moving over to Wrex "Let's keep moving"
"Roger that" Kaidan said for the others and they once more broke off into a run.
All around them they heard mechanical shouts, footsteps, machines and the such sound off, all with one goal in mind. Capture the Normandy crew.
Eventually, the group ran across a large circular door, easily ten times their height.
"Ok, my guts telling me that this one must be pretty important" Kaidan stated
"Question is, how do we open it?" Liara asked
"There's gotta be a control panel in here or something" Wrex remarked, looking around for clues
Shepards eyes narrowed, analyzing the door. It seemed air tight shut save for the center where there was a tiny wedge.
"Could we force it open?" Shepard asked himself
"Hmmm?" Liara Turned to Shepard
"Focus up everyone" Shepard said to his team "Concentrate on that indent in the center and trying forcing it open with your biotics"
"Is that even possible?" Kaidan asked
"Won't know until we've tried" Shepard stated, calling upon his Biotics which the others followed suit.
They all concentrated and focused in on the wedge between the door.
"I don't think Biotics are capable of doing this" Liara voiced her concerns
"Hey, we've been seeing some insane shit for some time now" Shepard said "How about we push back in our own way"
The Biotic users concentrated hard, trying to expand the door with their biotics. After several moments, they felt the strain on their bodies and mind beginning to grow.
"Together" Shepard gritted out "At once….NOW"
With a collective strangled cry, the group threw their arms out, biotics crackling around them.
The door creaked before it caved in and opened.
"Big man, coming through" Wrex shouted, rushing in with his shotgun out
"Whoa" Kaidan Said in awe right behind him seeing the cages.
"This has gotta be the super max" Wrex said, walking into the center of the room
"Lot of cages" Liara noted
"Wonder what they keep here" Shepard remarked, beside Liara
"I don't wanna know what's in the big cage" Kaidan said, eyeing the pitch black domed cage
"Hmm?" Wrex approached one of the cages "What's this?"
"Wrex, don't go there" Shepard said warily
"Ah he doesn't look that dangerous" Wrex waved off until he saw the creature up close
"Oh that's festering ugliness" Wrex commented, leaning in to get a better look
The creature did not take kindly to said comment as it abruptly shot a projectile right at Wrex's face
"AH I'M HIT, MAN DOWN" Wrex fell over clutching his face "IT BURNS, AH I THINK ITS ACID"
"Urgh" Wrex got a good look at what was on his hand "It's just shit"
"That" Liara felt queasy at the sight "Is disgusting"
"Alright that's it" Wrex sat up to face the creature "I gotta kill you now. You're just to disturbing to live"
Wrex pumped his shotgun and aimed "Take that, Bitch"
BANG
"Oh, you're dead"
"Guys?"
Wrex got up "HE'S ALIVE"
"Holy hell, how did you get here?!" Peter exclaimed from his cell
"Long story" Shepard said with a grin, seeing that his friend was alive and well "First things first, let's get you out of here"
"You are not going anywhere" Said a metallic voice from behind
The team whirled round to find three Bots standing in the super max with their weapons trailed on them.
"Lockdown was correct in his guess that you would end up here" The Middle red one spoke to them, voice devoid of any emotions "Better yet, Commander John Shepard, the second anomaly is with you as well. Our hunt for you comes to a quick a decisive conclusion"
"You honestly think we're gonna let you take us and keep Peter here without a fight" Shepard growled as the team readied their guns
"You truly are foolish then for coming here" Fritz stated
Suddenly, all of them froze up and they were floored to the ground by an energy field that materialized around them.
"This is our ship in case you have forgotten" Fritz almost sounded smug
FWEET
THRIK
Fritz shuddered momentarily, glancing around to find the source of the sounds.
It was then that he felt a slight pain in his lower left leg.
Fritz collapsed to his knee, the clanging of metal on metal.
FWEET FWEET FWEET FWEET
A red and gold streak with a trail flew around and through the bots that stood in the prison chamber.
They tried to put up a defense but it proved useless as the streak simply cleaved right through them with insane speed and precision.
The bots collapsed onto the ground, dead and unmoving.
Right behind them stood Yondu Udonta with the biggest shit eating grin Shepard, Liara, Kaidan and Wrex had ever seen.
Ashley, Garrus and Tali came up from behind Yondu and stared open mouthed, slack jawed at the carnage of a golden arrow.
"Heh" Yondu said "Been waiting my entire time here to do that to these assholes"
The arrow flew back into Yondu's hand and he pocketed it.
"So" Yondu stepped forward "You must be…"
"Shepard" Garrus, Tali and Ash all cried out, rushing to the energy field that encased their comrades
"Peter!" Garrus said aloud, looking up to see his friend
"Good to see you guys too" Peter said happily before looking at Yondu
"Oh, I think I heard about you" Yondu remarked, approaching the group "You're that spider guy from the Avengers of Earth, am I right?"
"Uh…yeah" Peter said confused, really analyzing Yondu "Are you…Kree by any chance?"
"Oh, you know you're species" Yondu said, now standing in front of the downed members "Good to know"
"Garrus" Shepard finally asked "Who is this guy?"
"Yondu Udonta" The blue skinned Kree introduced himself "Formerly of the Ravagers and one of the Guardians of the Galaxy"
"You're from my universe" Spider-man exclaimed in happiness and relief "Oh thank god, I thought only bad guys were coming through"
"Much as I would love to learn more" Wrex growled out "We're trapped here in case you guys forgot"
"Nah" Yondu chortled, flipping back his trench coat "I just found your positions amusing"
Before anyone can rebuke the Guardian, Yondu let out a series of high pitched whistles. His Yaka arrow tore around the area where Shepard and his team were being held down. The energy field around them dispersed and they were free to get back up.
"Hey" Spider-man called out "What about me?"
"Didn't forget about you boy" Yondu said and with another set of whistles, Spider-man's binds were destroyed and Peter was a free man once more
"Whew" Peter said, stretching out, feeling bones pop with satisfactory "Great to move around again"
"Need I remind you we're still in a ship filled with Transformers hell bent on killing you" Ashley reminded
"That point has not been forgotten" Shepard grunted, rotating his shoulder "Question is, how are we going to get out of here?"
"You're not" Echoed Lockdowns voice from around them, their weapons up and ready "You are truly foolish. You actually believed that you can simply distract us, waltz in and walk away without any repercussions? Typical of you fleshlings. Always believing yourselves to be invincible until something comes along to show you how wrong you are"
"That's funny coming from you big guy" Spider-man called out "In case you haven't noticed, our tech and skills have already taken down a few of your guys"
"Yes" Lockdown said with resentment "You have proven to be more than the nuisances I originally expected you to be. One which I intend to rectify"
"Bring it on asshole" Ashley called out "We can take you on"
The ceiling from above suddenly caved in and out from it dropped Lockdown wielding a large glowing blade.
Most of the team deadpanned at the now frozen Sergeant who chuckled weakly
"That's on you Red head" Kaidan stated
"You're worse than that Rat" Yondu remarked, Yaka arrow at the ready.
"Now" Lockdown held out his blade "You will all perish"
SPIDER-SENSE
"GET DOWN" Peter shouted and he shot out web lines to everyone and pulled them all back behind cages.
Lockdown slammed his blade down and there was a shockwave that impacted Peter at full force, sending him crashing into the largest cage in the prison.
"PETER" Shouted several of his crewmates and friends
Tali, Shepard, Wrex, Ashley and Garrus all charged at Lockdown, firing their weapons at him. Yondu began whistling at rapid paces, the Yaka arrow pivoting at every direction and flying right at the large bot.
Lockdown simply activated a large shield but found a slight resistance in holding it up. Regardless however, none of attacks or fire penetrated his barrier and he dispelled it in a manner similar to a knock back as his attackers stumbled and fell back.
Kaidan and Liara were helping Peter back up until they let out slight cries of surprise when the Symbiot lashed out around them.
"Ok, that hurt a lot more than I thought it would" Peter groaned out in pain, his suit calming down
"Since when could your suit do that?" Kaidan asked in slight surprise
"It's a living thing, remember?" Peter said, flexing his fingers
"Yeah but when could it do that?" Kaidan emphasized
"Talk about that later" Spider-man said, jumping and swinging at Lockdown.
The rest of the group took the initiative along with Peter and charged at Lockdown who swung his sword in response.
An arch of energy shot out from the sword which then split apart, attacking them all at once.
Yondu whistled in rapid succession, dissipating each energy attack.
Lockdown responded by morphing his other hand into a cannon and firing at Yondu.
With quick timing, Liara and Kaidan brought up their Biotic shields and barely held back the blast.
Garrus switched to explosive rounds, firing at the large mechanical being who took a brunt of the explosives but stumbled back at the last few shots.
Gritting his 'teeth Lockdown dispelled a shockwave which sent the ream reeling back.
"I WILL NOT" Lockdown grabbed Wrex and threw him onto a cage
"BE BESTED" Kick to Yondu
"BY FLESHLNGS"
Lockdown attempted to strike Spider-man with his blade but our wall-crawler swung around the sword. He then swung around Lockdown entirely before bashing Lockdown's face with a double kick.
"RAGH" Lockdown grabbed Spider-man in retaliation and slammed him down onto the ground
"I've had enough of you" Lockdown declared, leaning down to Spider-man's face.
He then discharged an electrical surge and effectively knocked out the others temporarily.
"You could do that?" Spider-man asked "Why didn't you do that from the start?"
"It's because of you" Lockdown snarled "Everything that has diminished our power is because of you"
"Why is this one on me?" Spider-man whined "Listen, I blame myself for everything all the time, believe me it's like a hobby of mine. But you're doing it way more often than I do and that's stealing all my thunder"
"SILENCE" Lockdown roared, sounding slightly deranged
Bullets then impacted the side of the large bots face.
Growling, Lockdown turned to face Garrus and Ashley on their feet.
"Can you just die you psycho" Ashley roared out
"After you" Lockdown snarled, his eyes sparking up
"Oh Crap" Garrus dived, taking Ashley with him to avoid the beams from Lockdown's eyes
"Laser beams" Ashley exclaimed "Seriously?! I mean I was kinda half expecting that but come on, generic much?"
"Not the time Ash" Garrus said getting up to fire his gun again only for it to get pulled out from his hands by a gravitational pull from Lockdown
"Enough with your toys" Lockdown was about to grab the gun and crush it but Spider-man shot out a line and snatched it to him
"HEY" Peter yelled "Tali and I worked really hard on this, we're not gonna let you destroy it"
"Oh shut up and DIE" Lockdown attempted to step on Peter who deftly rolled out of the way.
"Generic much?" Peter repeated what Ashley said
Firing a glob of web into the eyes of Lockdown, the standing members of the team went to rouse up the others.
"Come on Shepard" Peter shook the commander "Let's get out of here. We're never gonna win on this ship"
"You're not going anywhere" Lockdown shouted, ripping the webbing off.
This time, Spider-man went all out. He began firing web upon and web at the bot first securing his legs.
Lockdown seemed to budge out slightly only for him to be impacted hard by Spider-man.
The 'keeper' of this universe fell onto his back hard and Spider-man unleashed all of his webbing upon him effectively encasing Lockdown entirely like a Spider would to freshly caught prey.
By that time, the rest of the team had come to witnessing Spider-man ensnaring Lockdown.
He looked back to them
"Much as I would love to brag, we have got to go now!" Spider-man said to the team
"He's right" Yondu stated "This is his ship. His cronies will be on our ass like a Kree slaver to the Xandarians"
"Uh…"
"We're gonna get fucked up if we don't leave now" Yondu said no annoyed
They heard scrapping metal and saw Lockdown was beginning to break free.
Peter once more reinforced the webbing
"Right" Shepard said "Let's get the hell out of here"
The team didn't need to be told twice and with all the adrenaline that was coursing through him they sprinted out of the cell.
"There's gotta be a hanger bay of some kind here" Yondu said
"There is" Tali said "I think I remember the way"
"But how are we gonna get away from the ship?" Wrex said in turn
"Well this whole mission has been suicidal" Ashley pointed out "Might as well up the ante"
"And how would we do that?" Liara asked
A moment of silent running
"Think we can commandeer one of those ships of theirs?" Garrus suggested
Scene cut
"JUST STEP ON IT" Garrus shouted from his position into the large fighter of choice the crew of the Normandy.
It was larger than most and it seemed to be some kind of troop transport if anything.
"Oh I'm sorry that I don't know how to fly A SHIP MEANT FOR ROBOTS TWENTY TIMES OUR SIZE" Peter yelled back
"JUST PUSH SOME BUTTONS" Wrex roared, bashing his gauntlet arms repeatedly into the head of a downed bot before jumping back into the ship
"FUCK IT" Shepard shouted and began hitting his gun on the controls
"DO NOT LET THEM ESCAPE" Lockdown roared, now entering the Hangar bay with even more of his 'henchmen'
Shepard hit a lever during his wild swings and suddenly the ship jolted then fell through into the vacuum of space.
"Uh…" was all Shepard managed out when the ship rocketed forward with all of its occupants yelling in terror while clinging onto to whatever they could grab for dear life.
CLIFFHANGER
Sorry this one took WAY longer to update than usual but I have a new job, summer courses and a new story(Avenging Remnant, please go check it out) so that has taken up a good chunk of my time.
Bet ya'll didn't see Yondu coming did ya? I had him planned from before the start of this arc but I waited until after I saw GOTG volume 2 to get a much better gauge of his character. There's gonna be some AU with his character but his overall personality will be like the ones in the films.
Fret not for those who thought that I had taken too long on the update. This story has not and will not be abandoned as I have invested too much time into this story and will not be leaving it until it reaches its conclusion which...well may take a while. But all of you guys are invested have stayed with me and for that, I can never thank you enough.
Spider-man Homecoming and War for the Planet of the Apes. My god, this year has had some fantastic blockbusters and just an overall phenomenal time for Comic book movies as I have yet to see one and say that sucked or was underwhelming.
