Alright, last chapter of the Lockdown arc and I'll be honest here. I knew from the get go that this arc was a really big risk and at first the response seemed that you guys had a general interest but it really didn't hold out for long. I had always intended for this arc to be a gateway to many things in the future for this story as I am not going to abandon something I put so much time and effort into, confiding with readers who reached out to me and given me so many great ideas cause this story is a massive undertaking simply because of how big it is in terms of the universes that are in play here.
This arc has not been that popular, with some highlights here and there. It was a misstep but that's not gonna deter me in the slightest cause the three year gap is gonna help establish the Mass Effect 2 story line and so much more. This is one of those stories you gotta be in for the long haul. Like the games, like the Comics.
I don't know what philosophical shit I was trying to convey here but I wear my heart on my sleeve. I am very open with you guys in these authors notes cause I believe I owe to you guys since you had taken time out of your daily lives to read this craziness.
So really I guess I'm just saying thanks for being here for so long and I hope I'll keep you guys until the end of this journey.
I know it's been a while but I've been going through some work and college stresses as well as a momentary loss of interest in writing in general as life just creeped up on me, but I ain't abandoning this story cause I've put too much effort into this one to just up and leave. So I'm gonna wrap this fucker up very quickly cause we need to get moving.

Along Came A Spider Chapter 25: Lockdown Part 4 Let's just end this already
Lockdown felt it.
His power was leaving him. No matter what he tried to do, it was irrelevant. Lockdown knew that he still held a great deal of control over his ship and its tenants.
But it was clear to the bot that his power was eroding.
And he needed to find out why.
All the while, his bot subordinates went about their business, getting ready to pursue Spider-man, Shepard and the rest.
Lockdown got into his seat and slotted himself into what he called the Omni-oculars.
And it didn't work.
Lockdown grit his 'teeth' and pumped more power into the chair. There was a wave of energy that pulsed out from around him but it was proved to be all for naught.
He was losing not only power but this conflict.
In the span of a few days, everything that he had ever worked for had been completely undone by a handful of fleshlings and their actions.
He couldn't take it anymore. The thought of him failing in his purpose to keep the laws of this universe under protection was thoroughly destroyed now.
Nothing Lockdown could do would be able to reverse the damage that Spider-man, Shepard and now the entire team had caused.
Lockdown could feel a greater weight on his shoulder than ever before.
Something within the mechanical being snapped as his neural net processors were working at full capacity. In the span of a single second he went through every single option that he could think of, each of them seemingly a failure in his eyes.
All but one.
One that right now was starting to make the most amount of sense to him.
Lockdowns optics transitioned from a deep seated green to a now menacing blood red.
"Prepare the ship for pursuit" Lockdown instructed his crew, his voice more metallically colder than usual "We have their coordinates on lockdown and we shall exterminate them from this universe"
An evil glint went across both eyes
"Then we'll track down every single one of them" Lockdown, his tone now entirely void of emotion
All the while, his subordinates worked round the clock in preparation for their hunt, never noticing one of them slink away in secrecy.
The Normandy
The entire team were resting together in the barracks of the ship, all bruised and scratched up from the madness that they had fought against just a short while ago.
Miraculously, the ship they had utilized to escape had appeared right in front of the Normandy, nearly crashing into the ship had it not been for Joker.
Now they were patching themselves up.
Shepard was bandaging up Liara's arm and leg whilst she worked on his head earning them merciless teasing by their friends.
"And do any of you losers have anyone as perfect as her?" Shepard questioned
All that did was make Garrus and Peter pretend to make out
"Oh Shepard, by the goddess" Garrus mocked in a high pitched tone which made Liara blush and the other laugh profusely
"Are you guys always this idiotic or is it just one of those days" Yondu Udonta, they're newest comrade stated as he casually twirled his Yaka arrows in between his fingers.
"One of those days" Wrex remarked, nursing his arm as he had utilized his enhanced gauntlet against the bots many times in their rescue mission "Unlike you and Spidey, we're not used to dealing with this kind of insanity"
Yondu only chortled with his crooked grin on display.
"So now what do we do?" Kaidan asked, clutching his sprained hand "We know that son of a bitch won't leave us be"
"Are we to fight him then?" Liara asked with slight concern "How can we possibly combat such a foe at full force?"
"We beat Saren didn't we?" Ashley stated
"This is a lot more different" Garrus pointed out "We're dealing with something that's more stronger and ancient then even the god damn Reapers"
"We can hurt them and kill them" Tali said
"Albeit with an absurd amount of difficulty" Shepard added
"But they will come for us regardless" Peter said grimly making the group go silent in contemplation
"And last I spoke with the psycho decepticon, he was dead set on making sure that he completes his 'mission' and I think, no, I know he's gonna try to kill me and Shepard. Probably all of us now considering we basically spit in his face and told him to shove it"
"Descriptive but true" Shepard nodded
"So it's not a matter of if but when" Liara said "When is Lockdown going to come after us"
"Sooner than one would expect" Yondu announced, standing up with a flourish "That jackass got a thorough beating and insult from us 'meat bags'. Guy with a mountain of pride like him won't take us lying down. We gotta gut the son of a bitch hard and fast"
"And how do we do that?" Ashley rhetorically asked, crossing her arms
"We could blast them to death" Wrex suggested
"With what? Yes our guns hurt them but Lockdown is gonna bring his entire ship down on our ass" Garrus said with an annoyed expression
"God knows what he could send out against us" Ashley said, shuddering at the creatures that were contained within his ship
"I…Actually didn't consider that" Shepard said lamely
"God damn" Yondu shook his head in exasperation and amusement "You dummies are just like the Guardians back home. Cept ya'll don't argue as much"
"We usually do" Peter said "It's just…well…"
"Now seems irrelevant" Liara said
"Yeah, that" Peter said, gesturing his thumb to Liara
"Still" Liara said, staring at Yondu with fascination "I had never thought I'd meet another…well"
"What?" Yondu asked
"Blue skinned being that wasn't a girl" Wrex remarked with a chortle
"Pardon?" Yondu looked at the Krogan incredulously
"Quick explanation" Tali chimed in "In this universe, Liara is a member of a mono-gendered species known as the Asari. They're all female and known for their blue skin primarily along with other mixed colors"
"Really?" Yondu now arched a brow in amusement "Hmmm, so there's an entire race of pretty little angels like you"
"She's taken" Shepard said defensively with a deadpan. The Asari blushed profusely and lovingly at the Spectre
"Hey, just looking to you for confirmation" Yondu said slyly, hands raised in surrender "Got fair game across the galaxy now"
"Back to the matter at hand" Kaidan said dryly "I hope we have a plan for Megatron coming down on our ass's which will be sooner than later"
"Uh guys" It was at that moment that Joker decided to call in "We're getting those familiar energy spikes again. You know what that means"
"Fuck me" Shepard cried out in anger "Joker, get us the hell out of here, now! Keep jumping if you have to, JUST GO"
"AYE AYE" Joker said with gusto already piloting the ship to the nearby Mass relay
Just as lockdowns ship arrived in the sector, the Normandy was already off and away, gaining a little bit more time of momentary peace and preparation.
Lockdown only snarled from his seat already pursuing them.
This didn't escape the notice of Joker of course.
"Ah son of a bitch" Joker said, gritting his teeth "Shepard, he's on our ass"
"Fuck" Shepard said bitingly, trying to figure out a way to lose them "Just keep flying Joker. Where are we approaching?"
There was a pause in the pilot as he glanced at the nearest planet within reach once they exited the Mass Relay. Joker couldn't help but snort at the destination
"Ilos"
"Hello darkness my old friend" Kaidan murmured
"Get to the Mako bay" Shepard said "Get ready to drop us off Joker. We'll need you in the air"
"What?!"
"He wants us" Shepard said to his faithful pilot "We'll lure him out while you do everything you can in the air. Keep them distracted, keep them on their toes, anything to give us an advantage"
"Shepard" Joker said weakly
"Come on Joker" Spider-man called out "This isn't our first crazy rodeo. This whole time has been insane"
They heard Joker sigh on the other end, chuckling mirthfully.
"Prep for drop"
"You heard the man" Ashely said excitedly
"I'll be coming with you" Yondu said, his Mohawk glowing red "Want to settle the score with that big jackass"
"The more the merrier" Garrus nodded to the Ravager, a gesture shared by the rest of the team
The team quickly made their way to the Mako bay, standing over the fall door.
Tali, Ashley, Peter and Yondu grabbed onto those who didn't have the capabilities of flying yet.
Peter gave Ashley the advice of using a burst incineration method that he had installed in her improved suit in order to give her enough momentum to land safely on the ground with Kaidan who she held onto.
"Ready to drop" Joker said to the crew as he was now descending to the ground of Ilos
Joker counted down "In 3…2…1…DROP"
The floor beneath them opened up and they all fell down.
Immediately, the flyers of the group had secured a safe landing for those who did not fly and saw the Normandy pivot upwards and fly off as fast as it could when Lockdown's ship came out of its own version of FTL.
Immediately, smaller ships came out from the main one, descending down onto them.
Shepard took note that they were surrounded by large mountainous rocks that would prove for excellent cover which is what he called for.
The team all ducked behind rocks and ledges as the ships flew by, firing at them with missiles.
"Spread out into groups" Shepard shouted "A biotic for every group"
Garrus, Peter and Wrex struck out together as two ships sailed overhead, dropping small bombs. They ran at full speed, Garrus prepping his sniper rifle for high caliber, velocity rounds meant to pierce armor.
"Have I ever told you how much I love you for upgrading this" Garrus shouted over the pandemonium
"You'll be able to do it over again after this battle" Spider-man shouted, firing his webbing and pulling Wrex and Garrus towards him in time to save them from more bombs that dropped in front of them.
Wrex shifted his own customized gun to a grenade launcher and aimed at the next wave coming at them.
"Eat this you shit eating Pyjak" Wrex roared, firing a volley of grenades.
Meanwhile, Shepard ran with Yondu and Kaidan, Alenko sporting a rocket launcher.
Yondu eyed a ship that flew by and whistled several high pitched FWEETS and the arrow flew at full speed, a red streak in its wake.
The Yaka arrow tore through the ship a dozen solid times through key parts which eventually caused the fighter to explode.
Ashley, Liara and Tali were already fighting several of Lockdowns footmen who had them pinned down behind some boulders that were slowly being blasted away.
"Urgh, this is just annoying" Ashley growled, trying to peak out of cover only t duck back down again.
"What do you suggest we do?" Liara asked
"Diversion" Tali said without hesitation
"Diversion?" Liara and Ashley said as Tali powered up her suit and flew out
"TALI" They both shouted
"JUST SHOOT AT THEM" Tali yelled back, weaving and spinning in the air to dodge the fire from the bots
"Oh right" Ashley jumped out from her cover and began firing at the bots.
One tried to shoot back but it was caught in a Biotic field, courtesy of Liara.
Tali took the advantage and deactivated her repulsors to land on the face of the robot, pointing her palms at its face.
"Eat this Boshtet" Tali exclaimed, powering up her palm blaster to full power
She unleashed a Dual beam that effectively destroyed the machines head.
Some stared blankly at the kill with Ashley's and Liara's jaws dropping.
"Jesus" Ash murmured
"That was rather brutal" Liara commented
That statement was soon followed up by a red streak rushing in to make quick work of the remaining bots.
"Ladies" Yondu jogged up to them with Shepard "If you would kindly join us"
The madness on the planet surface mattered little to Lockdown at this moment as he was currently consolidating whatever power he had left.
He felt it in his metallic veins that he was being powered up to his full strength. Lines of green energy pulsated around him, coming out from his metal veins.
Lockdown 'inhaled' as much air as his artificial 'lungs' could take, feeling himself fully charged.
Standing up, a green mist permeated off of Lockdowns body, his eyes glowing an intense emerald with cracks surrounding his optics.
He held out his hand, metal bits moving at a rapid pace underneath his palm to form a pitch black sword with the edges radiating an intense red energy.
"It's time to end this" Lockdown said darkly
Down on the ground, the Normandy team was fighting a desperately mad fight against dozens upon dozens of bots.
They kept moving to the high ground with Tali and Spider-man using the air to keep the enemies at bay.
Of course it was only a matter of time however.
Even with their upgrades that Tali and Peter had so tirelessly worked on, they would still be overwhelmed by Lockdowns forces.
Yondu himself could only do so much and he was now fighting with a pistol that Garrus had thrown him while whistling at sharp pitches in order for the arrow to go at max speed.
They were all starting to feel a creeping sense of exhaustion. Rightfully so as they had barely escaped from these enemies just a few short hours ago and only slapped together some bandages for their wounds. Now here they were fighting for their lives once more.
Thankfully though, they had at long last gained a short reprieve when the Normandy flew by, firing its own barrages of missiles and blasts at the large bots
"Take that you second rate Transformers" Joker roared out with glee at the thought of being in on the action
"Joker you are a godsend" Ashley said being helped up by Kaidan in order to fall back to a better position
"I do what I can Miss Williams" Joker said earnestly, going round for another run
"Well you better be careful now boy" Yondu said warily, staring up at the skies "Cause they're about to bring in more reinforcements"
True to Yondu's word, more pods began firing out from Lockdown monster ship
Some got shot down by the Normandy which in turn made some of the pods change course and pursue Normandy.
"I think we just lost our air support" Kaidan remarked
"Still up here, Kai" Tali shouted from above, dive bombing the enemy bots
They were beginning to become more resilient to the attacks, further frustrating the Quarian but that did little to deter her in taking them down by any means at her disposal.
"We can't win against these guys" Shepard stated "Not unless we take Lockdown out"
"Easier said than done skipper" Ashley remarked, narrowly avoiding a direct shot from one of the bots
"What we need to do is take out the head honcho" Yondu yelled out, letting out another string of whistles "Seems like everything's connected to him. Take out the big bastard then everything goes down with him"
"And how would you assume that?" Garrus said, nursing his injured arm
"The way things go usually" Yondu said
"He's not wrong" Spider-man said, slamming his feet in the jaw of a transformer with all of his power. The bot flew back and fell to the ground, unmoving
"I wouldn't mind a convenient win right about now"
"We'll have to work for it then" Liara said grimly, her eyes on one bot in particular past all the rest.
The team momentarily followed Liara's line of sight and saw none other than Lockdown approaching them, sword in hand, glowing an evil green that yelled 'I'm coming to kill you all'.
"He looks friendlier than ever" Garrus quipped, pointing his gun at Lockdown and firing at him
Lockdown casually held up his sword and let the bullets bounce off.
"Ok, that's bullshit" Garrus announced
Lockdown didn't respond, instead opting to swipe his sword down, striking the ground.
A wave of red cut through the ground coming right at the crew who scrambled to avoid the incoming attack.
Upon reaching their location, wave exploded sending some flying away.
Tali right herself in the air, quickly moving to catch Kaidan who was near her.
Garrus was luckily saved by Spider-man and Yondu had his arrow keep him aloft until he returned to the ground.
The rest on the other hand hit the ground hard making the ones who survived the brunt of the attack rush to their defense.
Lockdown was already upon them, sword raised with intention to kill those beneath him.
Spider-man jumped at him and attached a web to Lockdowns sword wrist and flipped over the mechanical being, tugging the web with all his might.
Lockdown was pulled backwards and then with another tug from the web, whirled round to face Spider-man's roundhouse kick.
"I'm the one you want, right?!" Spider-man challenged aggressively, not hesitating on letting up his assault "Then here I am"
Spider-man fired two web lines at Lockdowns sword arm and heaved
Lockdown growled, holding his ground as he remained unmoving but that was what Peter needed. Using Lockdowns mass, Spider-man sling-shot himself at the large bot and tried another roundhouse kick.
Lockdown this time caught Spider-man's leg but Peter quickly shot a large glob of webs into Lockdowns eyes.
Lockdown snarled in anger, prying off the webbing with easy only to receive a fierce right hook from Spider-man.
Peter continued the assault with punch after punch followed up by a boot kick then a heel kick and roundhouse to finish out the combo.
Lockdown greatly staggered back, feeling the pain on his head ring throughout his entire being.
Letting out an enraged growled, he crossed his arms and channeled his power to unleash a shockwave burst of electrical energy.
Spidey's Spider-sense flared dangerously but it wasn't enough to save him in time.
He got shocked severely and staggered until dropping to his backside.
"PETER" Garrus shouted, rushing to his friends aid
Holding up his rifle, Garrus fired repeatedly at Lockdown who took some hits until a personalized shield came into play, deflecting the shots.
Tali came in from the sky and grabbed Peter pulling him back.
"RETREAT" Shepard shouted and threw down some smoke grenades whilst with the combined efforts of Ashley's grenade launcher and Kaidan and Liara's biotics created a makeshift rockslide from the surrounding canyons to fall down upon Lockdowns subordinates.
The machine now only had half a dozen ground soldiers and was about to call down more when the Normandy flew overhead, recklessly engaging his ship with everything they had at their disposal.
Joker had the most intense expression on since his piloting days. He was completely in his element as he flew the Normandy as if it were a basic small star fighter.
The pilot ran rings around the enemy ships and managed to coordinate the crew within the ship to keep the ship functioning at maximum capacity all the while doing their best to stave off the insane moves Joker kept pulling off in order to avoid getting shot.
Back down on the ground, Wrex and Yondu worked in tandem to bring down another Transformer.
Wrex focus all his Biotics on restraining the bots limbs and Yondu let out a three-peat whistle which ignited his arrow into flames. The arrow incinerated the insides of the bot with every penetration making it fall apart into pieces.
They then were sent flying by an explosion to their side as two more bots came in to kill them both.
Both were distracted as Kaidan and Ashley rushed in shooting at them.
Ashley switched her gun to flamethrower mode and fired a torrent of flames, specifically at their optics in hopes of blinding them.
Kaidan brilliantly tossed his last strap of grenades into the flames. The combined inferno utterly destroyed the upper halves of the bots and they keeled over unmoving and dead.
Lockdown in the meantime was pursuing Garrus, Tali and Spider-man through a field of tall stalagmites.
He swung his sword, cleaving through every granular pillar in order to destroy their main method of combat and cover. Still, there were a lot of stalagmites to destroy and they were nimble as all hell.
Sure he manage to swat aside and damage Tali and Spider-man several times each but they remained ever resilient. Their intentions were like his. To finish this fight and chase once and for all.
"This is where it will end for you Spider-man" lockdown yelled out, catching brief glimpse of a red, blue and black figure jumping and swinging about "You are an anomaly that must meet its end here"
"If I had a nickel for every time I heard that" Spider-man called back "I'd be richer than Tony Stark. And that's saying something"
Lockdown's area sensors warned him to turn around and he saw in time that Spider-man once more sling shot himself right at him.
He barley had enough time to raise his sword in defense.
It was clear that Spider-man wasn't pulling his punches as this strike was powerful making Lockdown crash down on more pillars.
Shepard and Liara were using nearby rocks as projectiles against their own pursuers as they were starting to run low on ammo and some of their own weaponry and equipment had been damaged in the long winded battle.
"I can't believe we're using our Biotics like this" Liara said to Shepard, panting with a glean of sweat clear to see
"I didn't know we were capable of using our Biotics like this" Shepard said
"Maybe after everything we've been through" Liara surmised, letting out a gasp as she dropped to the ground to avoid a boulder being thrown at her "We're inadvertently becoming creative with the utilization of our own abilities"
"Nice theory Liara" Shepard said, throwing up a biotic shield as Liara stood to her feet "We'll talk about it some other time"
"Agreed" Liara said tiredly, her legs wobbly.
The moment Shepard threw the shields down they were once again on the run but it wasn't enough as Shepard flew through the skies, impacting a cliff wall.
"SHEPARD" Liara cried out in alarm and horror.
The human Spectre slumped to the ground with a groan, barely conscious.
She ran over to him and held him up, back to the bots in order to shield him.
Liara knew it was pointless but that didn't matter to her.
Of course, it wouldn't be that easy for the bots to kill the first human Spectre and one of the brightest Asari minds of this galaxy.
In came none other than Wrex Urdnot who fell from a cliff above without care, slamming down onto a poor bots head.
Wrex, with his adrenaline on full blast called upon his gauntlets and began pounding his victims robotic head into scraps and wires.
The others were quickly taken care of by a red streak and a violent explosion.
Ashley, Kaidan and Yondu joined down below and quickly ran over to Liara and Shepard.
Kaidan assisted Liara in getting Shepard back to his feet all the while the sounds of another fight echoed across the canyon they stood in.
"Yondu" Shepard looked to the Kree "Take Wrex and Ash and get over there and help out our friends"
"I could do that" Yondu gesture for his two companions to follow and they sprinted to their destination.
"Joker" Liara contacted their pilot "We'll need a pickup here asap"
"On it Liara" Joker responded, pivoting his ship around to where his radar displayed the location of Shepard
Spider-man was swinging at full speed towards Lockdown again who was currently trying to fend off Tali.
The bot had sent out shockwaves in hopes of killing her but she managed to keep her distance and stay out of harm's way.
Garrus had remained elusive, constantly moving from Stalagmite to stalagmite for cover and firing off a quick successions of rounds at Lockdown before running again.
All in all, Lockdown was starting to feel an intense amount of frustration at being prevented from carrying out his mission.
Calling upon his powers once more, Lockdown focused them into his sword and with a swing letting a gigantic beam that essentially cleared out half of the remaining stalagmites in the area.
Tali flew up high, the beam completely missing her.
It wasn't the same for her two friends however.
Spider-man shot himself up into the air but was pelted and eventually smack down by the rocks that exploded outward from the attack.
Garrus barely survived but was left buried under rubble, unmoving.
"GARRUS" Tali cried out in horror at the sight of her friend.
That was the distraction Lockdown was waiting for when shot out his hand and grabbed Tali from the air.
The Quarian let out a yell of pain and fright. She only screamed louder as Lockdown began to squeeze slowly.
"TALI" Peter now yelled in anger and fear, not caring for the damage on his suit and body.
Lockdown grinned maliciously preparing to kill the fleshling only for a damn arrow to fly through his wrist.
He shouted in rage and pain, dropping Tali who fell into the waiting hands of Wrex.
Ashley was over by Garrus, moving at a rapid pace to get the rocks off of his body.
Yondu shot his pistol at Lockdown, whistling a jaunty little tone all the while. Lockdowns shield was holding back the arrow now.
Narrowing his optics at the Kree, Lockdown readied his sword once more for a killing shot at the Multiversal traveler
While all this was happening, aboard Lockdowns ship, there was another intruder that none had noticed.
As the battle below raged on, another battle was being conducted upon the ship.
One within its controls. Since its arrival, the being had been a 'prisoner' aboard the ship but in the unconventional sense.
Its captors were unaware of its presence and it intended to stay that way.
Bit by bit, the being moved about the ship, learning all about its functions and capabilities. From the long history to all it held within the ship, it made sure to accumulate every ounce of knowledge that it could acquire.
To the normal person, the rate that it had received information and function on the ship would be nothing short of astronomical.
To the ships newest resident however, it was agony trying to learn everything it could about the ship before being able to finally take it over.
But now it felt it. 'He' knew it was time. The opportunity had at long last presented itself and now the control of this new magnificent ship would fall under his authority.
All around, the ship began experiencing multiple explosion in key components save for several parts making the personnel of the ship begin to panic only for themselves to begin shutting down suddenly or being caught in the explosions themselves.
Lockdown immediately sensed what was going on in his ship but could nothing at the moment as Spider-man and Yondu had his attention.
On the ship, it was total pandemonium as bots were dropping left and right and the power that kept the ship a float was shutting down as well. Which was strange as the engines and dark matter drive that kept the ship afloat was one of the few key parts of the ships that had not been targeted by explosions.
On the ground, the rest of the team saw the explosions coming out from Lockdowns ship and saw it coming down.
Shepard didn't even second guess his order.
"JOKER" Shepard shouted into his comms "Get us the hell out of here. NORMANDY TEAM, FALL BACK NOW!"
The rest of the team had already seen what was the cause of such an order and didn't question the command.
"Shit, if that's our easy way out, I'll take it" Spider-man remarked, choosing at that moment to right for Lockdown who had his attention on Yondu.
"HEY BIG METAL AND UGLY" Spider-man called out to the metal giant.
Lockdown turned in time to have Spider-man land right on his face, hands in front of his eyes.
Spider-man fired a high powered repulsor blast which effectively blinded Lockdown.
"AURGH" Lockdown roared "YOU FLESHLING MOTHER FUCKER. SON OF A SLAG HEAP BITCH, I'LL KILL YOU. I'LL KILL YOU ALL"
"This is the part where we run away" Spider-man swung down snatched up Tali while Ashley was assisted by Wrex in getting Garrus out of here.
The Normandy flew over heard past the canyon to a clearing as the entire team converged together and ran at break neck speed with all the remaining strength that they had.
Spider-man suddenly grabbed Kaidan and along with Tali hurled them both to the Normandy entry bay with all his might.
"WHAT THE HELL PETE" Ashley shouted incredulously
"No time you're next" Spider-man already grabbed her back
"WHAT?!" Was all Ashley managed out when she too was thrown into the Normandy.
Peter casually hefted Garrus over his shoulder and moved onto Wrex.
"Sorry big guy"
"Do what you got to"
"Super Strength don't fail me now"
Thankfully Wrex was the last one needed to be thrown as the rest of them reached the Normandy and quickly clambered inside.
"Get us out of here Joker" Shepard ordered
"Five steps ahead of you Commander" Joker was rapidly punching in controls and positioning his ship to fly away from this planet as fast as possible.
Lockdown was still repairing his eyes, unaware that his prized ship loomed overhead, coming down right at him.
The last thing the bot saw was the form of Spider-man was him knocking out his eyesight when his ship crashed down upon him, destroying him utterly.
Lockdown was over
1 week later
The entire Normandy team had remained on their ship once they returned to the Citadel, keeping a tight lipped seal on their recent adventure.
Their arrival and appearance was met with a hailstorm of questions from both media, military, council and close friends.
Yet they received no answers other than they were caught in a small skirmish with a save pirate crew that no longer existed.
Yondu was kept out of the public eye for the moment even with all the recent madness that had happened since Spider-man's arrival.
The entire team had spent their time together, changing bandages together, eating together, essentially spending every waking moment for the past seven days together.
Sure Yondu attracted attention once more on the Normandy but he mostly kept to himself, occasionally interacting with the team but he spent his entire time learning as much as he could about this new universe.
All in all…
"I know I'm tempting fate by doing this" Garrus groaned after his ninth bandage replacement courtesy of Tali this time "But let's never do this again. At least for another year or two"
"For once, you fully have my support Garrus" Shepard let out a moan of discomfort "After this, we're taking a vacation. A nice garden world on the beach"
"I second that" Ashley concurred lazily as she was stimmed up on Med-gel again
"We beat a transformer though" Kaidan joked, also drugged up on Med-gel "That's one for the books"
"I will never watch that series the same way again after what we went through" Shepard remarked, arm over his eyes
"Yeah" Peter was covered from neck to ankles in bandages "I think I'm gonna go on vacation as well. This was to crazy"
Even with his already enhanced healing factor with the addition of the Symbiot, he had pushed his body to his absolute limit and it was taking a while for his body to reboot overall.
"I know this great spa" Liara said from her spot next to Shepard
"That sounds like a great idea" Wrex said "Do they serve Krogan?"
"All species"
"There is a god" Ashley said airily with a giggle
"No more Med-gels for you, Ash" Tali said with a sniffle, heavy fur blanket around her frame
Ilos
The wreckage of the ship was not as bad as once could deduce.
Overall the ship had retained its shape and while it had received a substantial amount of damage, overtime it would be repaired and repurposed for a greater cause.
One bot walked amongst the rubble, this one significantly smaller than all the other bots that had been on the ship.
It's eyes were a scarlet red with sinister intent as clear as day.
The robot was only eight feet tall, walking amongst the wreckage towards its center.
There was the destroyed body of Lockdown, his head being one of the few parts that remained relatively intact.
The robot approached the fallen keeper of this reality and its eyes glowed with glee.
"Such a foolish little endeavor of yours" he spoke with amusement tinged in his voice "Confusing order and peace with quiet and control. You're worse than my creators"
He kneeled down to the head.
"Then again I respect your conviction to cross the line to do what's necessary" he patted the head "Sadly, it's due to that conviction you would have only been a hindrance to my plans. Funny enough, I had no intentions of coming here but hey, sometimes things don't go the way you had originally planned"
He stood up straight and if his face had been complete, he would have had a malevolent grin on display.
"But I'm nothing if not adaptable and always up for a challenge" He said smugly with excitement "It's why you lost. You forgot how to adapt. And in the end, you fell into everyone's worst trap. Creating the thing they dread"

They couldn't tell due to all the debris.

"You said it buddy" Rocket remarked "Place is a god damn graveyard"
Their conversation was cut short when a man slammed into the windshield of the Milano.
"AH" Everyone was startled
"Wipers" Rocket called out "Wipe it off"
Instead, the man was brought inside as the Guardians surrounded him.
"Who is this guy?" Peter asked the others
"I haven't the faintest clue" Drax the Destroyer stated "He seems like a warrior"
"Why was he out here?" Gamora wondered aloud
"I am Groot?"
"I dunno Groot" Rocket said "The Nova corps asked us to investigate cause this place had some kind of universal energy spike before it just vanished"
"Then maybe he knows something" Peter murmured "Alright, Mantis, wake him up"
Mantis stood over the man and her antenna glowed as her hand hovered above his face.
"Awake"
Suddenly the man jumped from the table swinging about wildly before catching his breath.
The Guardians all had their weapons up and ready, pointed at the man who caught his breath and slowly turned to face them.
"Who the hell are you?"

Peter Parker leaned on his arms in the public bus of Manhattan. Yang sitting next to him with Ruby and Weiss in the front.
The girls were chatting animatedly together whilst Peter closed his eyes.
Suddenly, the hairs on his forearm stood up and Peter had a chill go up and down his spine and to his head.
Head shooting up, his actions alarmed Yang as Peter looked out from the window in worry.
"Peter?" Yang said in concern

Hulk is smashed through wreckage of a war torn planet

Thor's head is being crushed by Thanos while he beats Iron Man down into submission
"You can run from it all you want" Thanos said to the remaining heroes that stand
"But destiny always arrives"
Thanos held up the infinity Gauntlet with two of the stones in place.
He held out his hand to a moon in the sky and clutches his hand.
The moon is utterly destroyed and Thanos sends the remains hurdling at the heroes
"It's not over. Not until all of us are dead. Not so long as one still stands up to you. It'll never be over"

A group of men sat inside a 'castle' beside the fireplace in a deep and serious conversation.
"I thought you would at least talk these two suicidal fucks out shit like this" A giant, wild, ginger man said to the eldest of the group "And you brought two more with ya"
"I've been failing at that recently" Davos Seaworth admitted
"Come now" Oberyn Martell, The Red Viper of Dorne said in his smooth voice "A feeling of adventure should not be mistaken with suicidal tendencies"
"After you go out there, I'm pretty sure you'll change your mind" Jaune Arc said tiredly and completely seriously
"Still surprised to find you all the way up here, Jaune" Qrow Branwen drawled out, taking a swig out of his flask
"Been here for some time Qrow" Jaune remarked "You'd be amazed at what I've seen"
"But what about those queens you've been talking about" Tormund spoke now to Jon Snow, King in the North "How many of them are there now?"
Jon sat alongside one of their newest ally and friend, Gendry, Bastard son of Robert Baratheon and laying down beside him was his faithful Direwolf, Ghost
"Two" Jon answered
"And which one's do you need to convince, the one with the dragons or the one who fucks her brother?" Tormund asked in total seriousness
They all snickered momentarily
"Both"
"How many men did you bring?" Tormund said
Jon glanced around to the assembled men right now "Not enough"
"The big woman?" Tormund asked expectantly gaining an amused smile out of Jon
"We were hoping if some of your men could help us" Jorah Mormont spoke up
"I'll be staying behind" Davos announced "I'm a liability, you all know that"
Tormund only nodded "You are"
The others could only shake their heads with humor at the Wildlings bluntness
Tormund eyed them all
"You are not the only ones who came up here" Tormund stood up "Follow me"
Tormund led the group down into the cells of East watch by the sea.
"My scouts found this lot a mile south of the wall" Tormund said to them "Said they were on their way here"
Jon and several others recognized one of the men who was currently laying on the bench.
"You're the hound" Jon said to Sandor Clegane "I saw you at Winterfell once"
Sandor eyed Jon and sat up
"And you came here" Oberyn remarked, narrowed eye at Sandor "Why?"
"They want to go beyond the wall too" Tormund said
"We don't want to go beyond the wall, we have to" Beric Dondarrion, leader of the brotherhood without banners
"Really?' Qrow slurred "And pray tell why?"
"Our lord told us that the great war is…"
"Don't trust them"
Beric was interrupted by none other than Gendry who stared at both Beric and Thoros of Myr with disdain. The bastard son walked around the others to stand in front of the cell, glaring at the tenants inside.
"They're the Brotherhood" Gendry said bitterly "And the last thing their lord ordered was to sell me to a red witch to get murdered"
Jaune and Jon shared a look
"Thoros?" Jorah said
The red priest looked over and leaned out from the shadows
"I almost didn't recognize you" Jorah said
"Ser Jorah Mormont" Thoros said with mirth "They haven't given me anything to drink down here. I haven't been feeling like myself"
"You're a fucking Mormont" Tormund now glowered at Jorah "Like the last Lord Commander"
Jorah didn't back down, standing up straighter "He was my father"
"He hunted us, like animals" Tormund spat
"If I recall, you returned the favor" Jorah shot back making Tormund growl slightly
"Tension" Qrow remarked leaning on the opposite cell bars "Lovely thing to keep you warm up here"
"Here we all are" Beric said with a wry grin "At the edge of the world, at the same moment heading in the same direction for the same reasons"
"Our reasons are not your reasons" Davos stated
"It doesn't matter what we think our reasons are" Beric stood up and walked to the cell door "There's a greater purpose at work and we serve it together, whether we know it or not. We may take the steps, but the lord of light…"
"Oh for fucks sake, will you shut your hole" Sandor cut in in annoyance "Are we coming with you fucks or not?"
"Don't you want to know what we're doing?" Jaune asked
"It's not for the faint of heart" Oberyn added
"Much better than staying down here in a cell freezing to death" Thoros stated
"He's right" Jon said "We're all the same side here"
Everyone looked to Jon now
"How can we be?" Gendry asked
Jon resolutely stared at Beric "We're all breathing"
Jon held out his hand and Tormund placed the keys into them. Snow moved to unlock the cell and the trio walked out.
"So what are we doing then?" Sandor asked impatiently
"You're not gonna like it big man" Qrow said, holding out a spare flask for the hound "It's ale"
The Hound accepted and took a large gulp.
"Well?" Sandor asked once more
"We need to convince the rest of Westeros of the threat of the White Walkers" Jaune said
"We may already have some loose alliance with Daenerys Targaryen but she's not enough" Jon Snow said "We need all of Westeros to be united for this"
"We're going out beyond the wall and ranging for the Walkers and their army" Jon continued to explain "We'll find them and do our damn best to grab one of the wights and get it back south and show everyone what we're up against"
"That's one of the dumbest fucking ideas I've ever heard" Sandor declared with a growl
"I'm sorry, going up here with a rag tag group to fight the army of the dead was also a good idea?" Qrow shot back
"It's insanely stupid" Jaune admitted with a shrug "But it's the only plan we've got right now"
"Doesn't sound like much of a plan" Oberyn noted
"Didn't say it was much to begin with" Jon said "We are all here right now. All of us here know exactly what it is that we're about to do and face. The question is if all of us are willing to go out there and be prepared to die and to give our people a fighting chance"
"I'm not ready to die ya bloody cunt" Sandor growled out
"Then the hell are you doing up here" Qrow asked with a drawl
"These fucking fire worshippers are to blame" Sandor gestured to Beric and Thoros who both only shrugged in response.
"Enough" Jon said with authority "Everyone get yourselves ready. We leave within the hour"
With that declaration, a tense sense of foreboding befell the newly assembled team of misfits, ragtag warriors, princes and hunters.
Soon enough, the assembled fighters stood at the opening gate that lead out north of the wall.
There stood two lines with Jon standing before them all and Ghost right beside him
As the gate opened entirely, Jon snow glanced back to his company of men who had chosen to go on this suicidal mission.
To Jon's right was Jaune, followed by Jorah, Gendry, Qrow and Sandor
On Jon's left was Tormund, Oberyn, Beric and Thoros.
A silent discussion between the eyes took place until all faced forward and with synchronized movements, they walked out into the foreboding wintery tundra.
That did nothing to deter their steps and purpose with their weapons in their hands at all times.
Behind them were five other men that were accompanying them on their journey, pulling a sled of supplies during their ranging of the north.
The cold winds whipped at their faces, like needles to every cell on their skin.
Yet they trudged on regardless, the cold not slowing them down for their mission.
The really, REALLY stupid suicidal mission now that some of them thought about it in hindsight
But regardless, they were here now and all that mattered was getting the job done.
