There is a moment here that I have been planning on and I had not known the right time wherein to place it as it has a bit of a personal story with me.

It's really hard to explain as this chapter is very unusual in my eyes really seeing that I've never really done a chapter like this before. You'll just have to have your own thoughts on it once you reach it.

So as usual

Along Came A Spider Chapter 27: Mourning through Memory

2 Years and 5 months

It was a somber week to say the very least.

Humanity as a whole as well as the many individuals throughout the galaxy were in mourning at the loss of one of the greatest heroes the galaxy had ever seen.

Anderson had remained shut up in his office, only speaking with a literal handful of individuals in the past seven days. Which was natural considering he just lost the man that would be the closest thing he would ever have to a son.

His wife being one of them. Admiral Hackett, a fellow decorated military man from the System Alliance. And of course, Several of the crew members that served alongside Shepard over the course of the year and a half.

Peter and Ashley had remained inseparable since hearing the news with Ash's sisters remaining with them.

Emotions began to of course boil over with the return of battle worn and drained old friends.

Upon seeing Peter and Ashley, Liara ran right to them and threw her arms around the both of them, weeping into their shoulders. They held her tightly as their shoulders got soaked. Ashley herself was openly crying the moment she saw the rest of her friends, clutching onto Liara like she was a lifeline.

Kaidan, Garrus, Chakwas and Joker joined them shortly after.

Peter and Garrus shared a pained reunion as the tow shared a brotherly embrace before Pete did the same with Kaidan and Joker.

It all passed by like a blur to them because it felt as if Tali and Wrex just popped out of the blue in their time of need.

Wrex was quiet, reserved. Not at all like his usual self.

He gave Kaidan, Joker, Garrus and Peter firm arm shakes, gently pressing his forehead against theirs as a sign of brotherhood which they returned. The Krogan battle master didn't even fight against the tearful hugs, Ash, Li and Tali gave him, simply returning them gently before looking over them in an almost father like manner.

Each and every one of them had suffered this kind of tragedy before.

Peter with Gwen. Garrus with his father same as Ashley. Kaidan with the fellow humans he trained with when mastering Biotics, Liara with her mother like Tali. Wrex had lost his fair share of brothers in arms in the past during his long seven hundred years of living but he himself cannot deny the impact this has had on him.

Shepards death would only serve to strengthen and essentially seal Wrex's resolve in uniting the clans of all Krogan under one banner and be prepared for the Reapers.

That much he can do.

Tali kept to Peter and Garrus the most but made sure to be with the others as much as possible.

Not that it mattered since they essentially stuck together for the duration of the funeral memorial service.

During this entire time, the media had done extensive coverage over the affair with many reporters attempting to get their hands on an interview from at least one of the Normandy members.

Anderson and Hackett made sure that didn't happen.

But then came the blow to the gut that nearly drove half the team into going after the council save for Anderson with a vengeance.

The Councils actions in undermining what Shepard had been preaching for the past few months about the coming of the Reapers.

"Typical, bureaucratic political bullshit" Garrus raged, having his sniper rifle in hand while Liara and Kaidan held the raging Turian back. Currently, they were all in Garrus's own apartment after the second memorial service they had to attend, this one being held by the council.

"Garrus, you killing the councilors ain't gonna help us" Ashley said bitingly "No matter how tempting it is"

"I should have left with Wrex" Garrus berated himself

Wrex had departed, vowing to his old friends that he will unite the clans and when the time comes for war, he will be there for them.

"And then what would you have done?" Kaidan asked

"I don't know" Garrus threw his hands up "Just something other than sitting around on my ass all day long moping like a child. Dammit"

Garrus punched a wall in anger, fuming at just about anything that would piss him off right about now.

The sentiment was shared with the others.

"So now what?" Ashley asked dejectedly "What in the blue hell do we do now? No offense Liara"

"None taken" Liara said softly

"I'm gonna have to return to the flotilla again" Tali said softly "The Admirals are starting to find it somewhat annoying and even suspicious since I keep leaving the fleet"

"Don't they know what you've been doing?" Garrus asked with irritation "A helluva difference in the galaxy in case they haven't noticed"

Though her helmet obscured her face, Garrus felt the appreciative expression she directed towards him.

"Thank you Garrus" Tali said kindly "It means a lot coming from you even if some people don't believe it"

Garrus blinked at the statement and coughed into his hand.

"Well…it's true" Garrus idly swayed from side to side "And no problem"

"What do you think is gonna happen to us?' Ashley asked

"Probably get thrown into circulation" Kaidan said tiredly "Now that we've lost our commanding officer in the line of duty, we're gonna have to fall back in line with the Alliance"

"You'll probably have better luck than me, Kaidan" Ash said grudgingly "You're a lieutenant remember? Means you're gonna have some leniency"

"You're still a ranking officer to, Ash" Kaidan pointed out

"Yeah with a dead squad and now dead commander" Ashley said bitterly with the last word laced with sorrow

"What about Peter?" Tali spoke up

Peter gave the Quarian a bewildered expression

"What about me?" Peter asked in clear confusion

"Well" Tali nervously rubbed her arms, a tinge of regret on what she was about to say "He's still stuck here. In a reality that's not home. He's been here for more than a year now and we don't know how much time has passed in his own reality"

The mood dropped even more so if that was even possible.

"Tali" Peter said softly "You know I'm not going anywhere, right? I wanna go home, but I can't just live this universe and the friends I've made to fight against The Reapers without me"

"But this isn't your universe" Ashley said with regret "This shouldn't be your fight. None of this should have ever been your fight"

Some, like Peter, were stunned by those words.

"Ash…" Peter said blankly "Where is this coming from?"

"I'm sorry" Ashley said, now tearing up "It's just so much has happened…is happening right now. And now Shepard is dead and I can't…."

Ash leaned against her arms that were on her legs. She now was now openly sobbing with Tali and Liara sitting beside her to comfort her.

"I can't handle losing you guys" Ashley said through her crying eyes "I just can't handle that. After everything we've done, the thought of losing you all terrifies me"

It was then and there that they had really begun to feel the entire weight of the galaxy and basically the maddening experiences they had went through start to set in.

While for Spider-man, this was nothing to unusual, for the rest it was just too much to an extent. It was one thing to know that they were a part of a larger galaxy.

But with their introduction to Spider-man and his level of craziness, it added an entire layer of something that they still couldn't fully understand.

Lockdown was the most recent of their run-ins with crazy and with what is to come, they knew it was only going to escalate.

During all of this, a certain smart-mouthed pilot had been exceedingly, uncharacteristically silent. Nobody had noticed Joker had quietly snuck out of the room and left the apartment overall.

None but Peter, who had perked up at the near silent click of the door closing.

Glancing away from Ashley, Peter turned his gaze to the door before taking a moment to look around the room and saw that they were now one person short.

Garrus and Kaidan picked up on this and the girls soon saw that Joker was missing.

Looking to the door, Peter quickly walked out and saw Joker on the far end of the hallway of the floor, next to the elevator.

"Jeff" Peter called out to the pilot, jogging to catch up to him

Joker only silently gave a nod to Peter, staring at the elevator that was making its way up here.

"Dude" Peter now stood beside his friend, placing a hand on his shoulder "What's up? Why'd you just leave us like that?"

"I just need some time alone for a moment" Joker said with uncommonly serious voice "It's not you guys, if you're wondering"

"Glad that it's not" Peter said with a weak attempt at humor

Joker's face remained bleak and unmoving, the elevator now arriving.

"Listen Pete" Joker said, turning to face the superhero "I'll come to you, if that's what you would like. I just need some time to myself, alright?"

Peter stared hard at the man, trying to find any signs of 'weakness' on Joker's expression but found none.

Conceding to Joker's request with a sigh, Peter patted the man on the shoulder as a signal of 'goodbye for now.

Joker nodded to the web-head and stepped into the elevator, departing from the floor.

"Peter?"

Peter glanced over to see Tali had approached him.

"Are you alright?' She asked tentatively

Peter only hung his head, choosing to wrap his arm around Tali's shoulder for comfort.

"Honestly" Peter said tiredly "I've had better days"

One week later

Tali was returning to flotilla today.

The team had gathered together at the docks to wish her goodbye and good luck on her journey back home and to always call upon them should she need the help.

Tali of course returned the offer and everyone departed from her with a crushing hug.

Once again, they watched as Tali boarded a small fighter with two Quarian marines to escort her home.

And like that, the group had shrunken once more.

Garrus had to begrudgingly leave them for the time being as he was back under C-sec circulation, the same going for Ashley and Kaidan.

So that left only Liara and Peter together.

Peter had decided on taking Liara out to the shack as usual before going to show her some more human films that h ad recently caught her fancy.

Right now, it was Pixar's Toy Story trilogy.

"Truly, humanity has quite the imaginative concepts on when it comes to their films" Liara praised, feeling tad bit better after watching the film

There wasn't much that managed to cheer up or at the very least, loosen up Liara's mood, but she was truly grateful for Peter on insisting to spend time with her and not leave her be.

The two had been meeting up every day for the past week, being joined by Garrus, Ash and Kaidan whenever the they had the chance.

While all this went on, the news coverage of Shepards demise continued but was slowly beginning to get downplayed.

And by downplayed, Shepard has been memorialized, the alliance grieves, the council commends him for his actions, but sweeps whatever mentions of the Reapers right under the rug.

When in doubt, blame the Geth and Saren.

Peter was honestly amazed at the council for not covering up the entire debacle.

Then again it was already a public affair to an extent, so no need in trying to cover up their own mess with Saren. But the Reapers were fair game in the realm of pretending they weren't real.

Peter and Liara currently resided by the presidium of the Citadel, walking away from the building towards the Human Embassy.

As they got closer, Peter narrowed his eyes at a human lady hounding some Alliance personnel who clearly wanted to be nowhere near her.

"Isn't that the reporter that Shepard punched that one time?" Peter said, trying to remember

"Yes, I do believe it was" Liara said with slight irritation at the sight of her

Of course Liara remembered as she was present for such an obnoxious person getting effectively knocked out by Shepard.

"Come on then, I'd rather not be in front of her" Peter said, guiding her away from the embassy "I heard she's been going around, gunning for anyone involved with Shepard"

Eventually, the two had found themselves in The Citadel Central Park, a favorite for Liara as she had sometimes spent many a day here just relaxing with Shepard.

"That's the pond where we first encountered your foe Electro, was it not?" Liara said, staring over to the calm body of water

"Yeah, that's the one" Peter remarked with a slight wincing chuckle "Forgot how much voltage old Maxi could dish out"

"I honestly hope to never experience such pain" Liara remarked

"Yeah, it's honestly amazing how lucky some of you guys have been in avoiding Electro the few times we fought him" Peter nodded

"I think Garrus and Wrex would say something along the lines of Better you then me" Liara said good naturedly

Peter intentionally over-dramatized his eye roll and groan of annoyance, eliciting a light laugh out of Liara.

The two settled down on a bench, watching as passerby's walked, ran, biked and boated around the park.

"I gotta take you to Central Park" Peter said "Cause this feels just like it"

"I Believe this park was modelled after said place once the Human embassy was established here on the Citadel" Liara said

"Probably by a fellow New Yorker" Peter said with a shrug

"Shepard always wanted to take me there" Liara said, effectively making the mood…well it felt a lot brighter just a few seconds ago.

But that didn't perturb Peter in the slightest.

"Then I'll honor him" Peter said resolutely "As soon as we can, I'll take you there. I'll take you to Manhattan to honor Shepards promise to you"

Liara stared in surprise at peter.

"Peter, you don't have to do that for me" Liara said kindly

"You are absolutely correct" Peter agreed "I must do it. No, if's, but or cans about it. I've been saving up my own cache of credits and I should have enough in a month's time for the two of us to go to Earth. Been wanting to go there myself, see how different Manhattan is here compared to mine"

Liara couldn't help but shake her head in amusement at her odd friend. It still amazed her at times on the experiences that she has gone through over the past year.

Never in her "short" life of studying as an archeologist would she find herself swooped up in an adventure and mission involving the salvation of the Citadel, falling in love with the first ever human Spectre, meeting and befriending some of the most diverse group of individuals she had ever seen, one of which happened to be a super-powered hero FROM ANOTHER UNIVERSE.

Placing a hand on Peter's shoulder, Liara scooted closer over to him.

"Thank you Peter" Liara said happily "For this past week. For everything you've done for me really. You've really helped me become stronger"

"Me?" Peter said dumbly "How?"

Liara chuckled at his obliviousness. It amazes her that one of the smartest individuals she had ever met had his moments of cluelessness.

"You inspired me" Liara said simply "All of you did. You, Shepard, Tali, Garrus, Ash, all of you. You all displayed your own talents and capabilities and had courage that I thought I'd never see or even have one day. You're all the greatest event that has ever happened in my life"

"And technically by Asari standards, it's just beginning" Peter remarked making Liara laugh

"Peter" Liara said through a fit of giggles "Thank you"

Peter just smiled and gave her a one-armed hug.

"What are friends for?" Peter said "I'll be right here if you ever need me"

"You're doing a wonderful job so far" Liara said, leaning her head against Peter's shoulder.

She let out a sigh, feeling a large portion of the tension that had been plaguing her since Shepards death lift right off of her.

The two sat there for an undetermined period of time, just letting the galaxy pass them by in their small moment together.

"Do you think he's at peace?" Liara whispered, her expression unreadable

"Hmmm?"

"Do you think Shepard is at peace?" Liara asked, her voice trembling slightly

That question seemingly knocked the wind out of Peter as he exhaled for a good few moments.

"I don't know" Peter said somberly "I sure as hell didn't feel like it"

Immediately Peter cringed and felt Liara lift her head off of his shoulder to look at him with a slightly disturbed expression.

"Pardon? Liara said in slight disbelief "What is that supposed to mean?"

"Nothing" Peter said quickly, sweating slightly

"No" Liara persisted with a slightly frightening, determined expression "You said that that's not what you felt. What is that supposed to mean?"

"UM, Uh" Peter was trapped between a rock and a hard place right now that he got himself into

"Liara come on, people say crazy things when they're not thinking" Peter defended lamely, his voice cracking "It's just talk, nothing more"

But the 'damage' had already been dealt as he could clearly see the gears working as Liara's face so clearly showed.

Slowly but surely, the pieces fell into place as Liara's face paled a considerable amount to a very light blue hue.

She stared at Peter in horror and fright, a slight tear threatening.

"Peter" Liara whispered "You've experienced death before, haven't you?"

Rather than trying to fight it, Peter instead slumped over, leaning his elbows on his knees. He ran both hands over his face before settling on gazing at the ground.

Closing his eyes in resignation, Peter sighed and answered "Yeah, I died once"

Liara leaned back, completely stunned by the admittance of such an event.

"H-How?" Liara stuttered, trying to get her thoughts in order "When? Why? How are you even here right now?!"

"Easy there Liara, easy there" Peter gently said, placing a hand on her shoulder to calm her down "It's a bit of a long story, so you're gonna have to bear with me here"

Peter laced his hands together, his expression turning grim at the memory of his 'death'.

"Before I begin, let me just prerequisite by saying this" Peter said "Death…I an uncommonly common occurrence back home. And yes, I know the phrasing sounds strange but the things is…Heroes and villains have died and seemingly came back to life on multiple occasions. It's a bit ridiculous as it is insulting to Death. And by death, I mean the legitimate representation of Death itself. Yes, that's right. Death in my life is an actual being. You are now being introduced to the more crazier aspects of home, yeah I know, this is the crazy stuff. And Liara? This is only the surface"

Liara could only gape while Peter went on.

"So many heroes back where I'm from have died on several occasions" Peter said "Cap, Clint, Carol, Tony(I think), Hank, Thor, Jessica(Though I'm pretty sure she was kidnapped by Skrulls). I'm pretty sure Jean Grey has the record though, I'm not exactly certain. My god…."

"What? What is it?" Liara asked desperately

Peter groaned a bit at a headache

"I don't know why but…for some reason, I feel like I'm talking about a topic that's under constant debate about the validity of death" Peter said "Is this how Deadpool feels like everyday?"

"Peter?" Liara asked, clearly bewildered as to what Peter was talking about

"Sorry, sorry, lost my train of thought there for a moment" Peter sheepishly said, getting himself back on track

"So yeah, I've died before and have come back and let me tell ya, the way I went out wasn't pretty" Peter said "There was this guy. I wouldn't say guy, more like a jackass, who came to my reality to apparently feast on my body and power. It's a complicated thing regarding Spider-totems and whatnot but this guy, his name was Morlun. He was the one of the few bad guys who you could say truly 'beat' me, beat me"

"By killing you" Liara said lowly

"By killing me, yes" Peter nodded in confirmation "I don't wanna go fully into it cause…you can't exactly explain something like that so simply. It felt so strange dying and just as much as it did when I came back. I never felt anything like that"

Peter had a faraway look in his eyes while Liara remained silent.

"It was…It was like I went through every type of pain imaginable yet I also felt really light at the same time. Like my body had the weight of a feather"

Peter closed his eyes.

"And as I felt myself floating away" Peter felt his body turn slightly cold "All I remember…is nothing at all"

Liara blinked, startled by this piece of information.

"You saw nothing?"

"No, I remember nothing" Peter clarified "I was dead one moment, then alive the next. It happened in an instant from my perspective but to the others I was gone for a few weeks"

"But" Liara was at a slight loss on what to say "How can you be sure you died?"

"Sure as hell felt like it" Peter quipped "Cap, Iron Man, most of the Avengers and my Aunt May and MJ told me they saw me die. I was entirely dead"

Liara began breathing a bit more heavily, her mind trying to explain how is it that someone had through death can be alive so casually.

"Is there no other side?" Liara whispered in dread, begin to tear up "Is life's eventuality to be in eternal blackness after our lives end"

Peter sensed then saw Liara's distress and quickly moved to placate her worries.

"I don't think it's that at all" Peter said with conviction

"How?" Liara challenged, tears streaming down her face "How can you be so sure about that?"

"Because" Peter wildly looked around, as if hoping that he'd find anywhere but Liara's expression "Because I believe it"

"How?" Liara asked again

"Well" Peter laughed a bit "For starters, there is a heaven that I know of back home called Valhalla, the resting paradise of the warriors until the end of times"

This only served to further what essentially was a mind blowing experience for Liara at the mention of that.

"But that's not the point" Peter shook his head, carefully considering his words

He let out a sigh and explained

"I think the reason why I don't remember anything from after my death is because I wasn't ready. Or maybe the universe wasn't ready or both. See, there's so many beliefs of an afterlife in almost every culture and religion across many Universes cause that always is a core foundation of civilization. So many of the Avengers who died say the same thing sometimes. That maybe it wasn't their time yet, maybe they still had work to do, maybe, something else entirely didn't allow them to move on. I can't explain that"

"But is there really nothing for us then? Did Shepard die for nothing?" Liara said tearfully

"No" Peter said firmly "Shepard didn't die for nothing. It may seem like that at first, but that is not the case at all"

"Liara" Peter looked her in the eyes "What do you know about the concepts of energy?"

Liara gave Peter a bemused look.

"Not much necessarily" Liara admitted "Energy resides in everything, doesn't it?"

"Exactly" Peter said "But there's more to Energy than it just 'existing' in everything. It can't be destroyed or created but transferred or morphed into something else entirely. Every living being is a living biomass of energy. In Religion, there's always a talk of an afterlife of some kind. Some calling it heaven, purgatory, hell or even reincarnation"

"When we die, our energy remains there. We can never truly 'die' because energy cannot die either. It merely transforms and becomes something else. When I died, I believe that the 'energy' within me couldn't change or transfer because my time had not come. I know it's a bit of a bounce as to what I'm about to say but it is scientifically and religiously impossible for there to be an black emptiness waiting for us upon death. It just seems too easy of an answer. To be an a void where we are blind, deaf and dumb but still fully aware of our existence. How can you know that you are dead if you had 'lost consciousness' for the last time in your life?"

"No Liara" Peter shook his head "I can't tell you on why or how Shepard truly died or if he is at peace or moved on over to whatever is waiting for us when our bodies finally shut down. But what I can tell you, is that the ideas left behind by Shepard. His beliefs, his morals, his spirit, his drive,(hovers his hand above Liara's heart) His love…it's all still there. Maybe he was reincarnated, maybe he is still alive out there and we just don't know it, the truth is Liara is that I don't know. I wish I did but at the same time, I'm glad I don't know. Have enough stress as it is, as you know"

Liara gave him a small chuckle, still crying silently.

"So if we think that after death that there is just nothing but endless nothingness, endless darkness, I think the idea in it of itself is not only inconceivable but I also believe that is just is illogically meaningless. When I compared the time of my death to something, I compared it to the time of when I got my spider-bite. It was the end of one life and the beginning of another. Of something entirely new. Of a life where there is a new purpose and drive and the old one practically becomes obsolete"

Peter let out a breath after his long speech

"All you need to know and believe in Liara for this moment is that Shepard continues to live through us. Through the individuals that he has impacted, through the people that he has interacted with, be it good or bad. Shepards influence on the galaxy is enough for us to begin the chance this place needs for there to be a future" Peter said sagely "Shepard left us that and we must not squander it. I know I will do everything in my power on honoring Shepard and I will be h ere for when the Reapers arrive, even if I have a means to get home. I'm not abandoning what we all set out to do. Are you Liara?"

A switch flipped in Liara upon Peter's words, her eyes ablaze with a newfound purpose and determination.

"No" Liara shook her head with vigor "I will not give up and mope so easily. I'll do whatever I can to prepare for the Reapers and honor Shepard. I will makes sure that he never dies"

"That's all I needed to hear then" Peter said graciously making the Asari hug him tightly which he returned

"Thank you Peter" Liara murmured into his ear "Thank you For this"

"I'd do it again in a heartbeat" Peter responded

"Where did all of this come from?" Liara asked, pulling away from Peter

"Alan Watts" He said with a shrug

"Who?"

"I'll send you a link about him on my Omni-tool, don't worry about it"

Their long conversation was cut off by the sound of C-sec sirens not too far off from them.

Peter looked off into that direction before turning back to Liara who held a knowing expression.

"Go on them, Spider-man" Liara gestured to the city scape.

Giving her a nod, Peter ran off into some trees for cover, calling upon his black suit and then firing a web line to swing up into the skyline towards the direction of trouble.

"It never ends, does it?" Peter cheerfully asked no one

What he got was an unusual vibration of agreement from the back of his head.

Blinking, Peter looked around while he was swinging, wondering just where that 'vibration' came from.

Deciding now wasn't the time for that, Peter continued with his web swinging, catching sight of C-sec cars in the air.

"Here We go" Peter accelerated past the C-sec towards the danger up ahead

Scene Cut

A puff of smoke came out from the aged man's lips, who sat comfortably in his chair as he watched the burning red star from his office.

Flicking his cigar to dispose of the ash, The Illusive Man didn't physically acknowledge the presence of one of his best agents, though it was unnecessary due to her understanding of how he worked.

"Shepard is dead" TIM stated the fact "And now, there is no one to lead us"

"It never gets any easier" Miranda said, a bit bitingly for her taste

"Nonetheless, we still have time" TIM said "We will do what is necessary for when the Reapers come"

"We shall" Miranda agreed "But what is necessary?"

The Illusive Man took in a deep puff of his cigar, letting out more smoke around him to add to his aura of mystique.

"Whatever alternative we have" TIM said resolutely

Miranda only nodded, having some ideas in mind already.

One of which was Spider-man of course.

Now naturally, this would be the part where she would immediately offer her suggestion of somehow involving the web-head, but she paused in her mind at the thought of the action.

She began to recall every moment that she had spent with him. With Peter Parker who was Spider-man.

Miranda Lawson was a decent judge of character as getting the layout of a person came with the job of her being a Cerberus operative.

Originally, she would have jumped at the thought of having Spider-man a part of Cerberus. Who knows what sort of achievements could've been accomplished with Spidey as a member of the organization.

But now, after getting to know him, something in her gut told her that he would never truly be part of something like this.

This confused Miranda to no end as she is usually so sure of herself on many aspects.

But Spider-man remained an enigma and a puzzle to her.

She felt like she knows so much about him but nothing at all at the same time.

'No' Miranda mentally resolved 'I will learn everything about him myself. Then I'll come back to Cerberus'

And there we have it ladies and Gents, the newest chapter.

So if you hadn't figured it out before I dropped his name, this chapter was partially inspired by Alan Watts on his many lectures of Death and what comes after.

See, a few years ago during high school, it just struck me that, well I'm one day going to die.

And that terrified me so much. I didn't get depressed, no, but I did feel a sense of loss. Like I didn't know what to do exactly. For a year, every night, my last few thoughts were about going to sleep and never waking up again. I couldn't wrap my mind around it and so I dealt with it by trying ignore it.

After some time, I stumbled across a recording of Alan Watts at my Barnes and Nobles near me and well, it changed me.

It left with me such a profound impact that it felt like my worries about death just went away overnight. Granted, it was more like several weeks or so but you get the idea.

And for so long, his words and ideas on the concepts of life, death, birth, consciousness, the real you, the universe, everything stuck with me and resonated with me. It's something that I always wished to share to others because it is such a fascinating and almost assuring idea to me about accepting death.

With this chapter, after Shepards death, I saw the perfect opportunity to share. Now some may not like it, some may find it confusing, some scary, some uplifting. The point is, I needed to tell you guys about this because I believe it is a message worth spreading.

Don't fear what comes after. Learn to love the beauty and the ugliness of this world because it is the only place I know of where you can experience everything at once.

Wish I could say more but it would be better in person and If I wrote about it, it would be well past a good few ten thousand words and my god I think my brain would explode on trying to write that.

And so because of our recent godsend from Marvel, I think it's more than appropriate that we have a bit of an update over one of our previous teasers

Ozpin stared intently at the group of young assembled Huntsmen and Huntresses, clearly weary from battle.

The group consisted students from all four schools and he could tell, they were on their last legs.

They had been fighting against what seemed like an endless wave of enemies and now it was starting to catch up to them. Ozpin felt a sense of doom permeate the air.

Sighing, The Wizard realized now must be the time.

Standing up out of the chair he sat in, Ozpin addressed the students with strength and authority.

"I know right now" Oz spoke to a quiet hall "That you are all on your last legs. Believe me, I too have faced similar odds"

"But" Ozpin's eyes glanced over all of them "Allow me a moment to recite a few choice of words from a man similar to myself"

"There was An idea" Ozpin began

Thanos voice over

"In Time, you will know what it's like to lose"

Professors Ozpin and Goodwitch with Doctor Strange, Wong, Banner and Tony Stark stood within the New York Sanctum, staring out the door at the sound of a commotion going on outside.

Tony decided to go to investigate. Throwing a look back at his comrades, he stepped outside

"To feel so desperately that you're right, only to fail all the same"

Peter was with Jaune, on the public bus back to Queens when the hairs of his arm stood up and he felt a buzzing in the back of his head exploding.

He looked to Jaune in alarm before turning back to Manhattan to see an unusual, foreboding circular ship floating over the skyline of the big apple

"Dread it"

Peter and Jaune were running to the ship at full speed

Tony took off his shades in shock with the rest of the group from the sanctum frozen behind him

"Run from it"

Loki was trembling in terror as he raised the tesseract in his hand.

Salem held an orange stone, face displaying genuine fear and hesitation as the stone began glowing brightly

"Destiny still arrives"

A black portal opens and out steps the Mad Titan, Thanos.

He surveyed the area before looking forward, his lip curling upwards

Spider-man now donned in his iron spider suit along with Jaune, who had a more streamlined variation of a knights armor jumped onto the alien ship that had arrived over Manhattan.

"Evacuate the city" T'challa commanded

Thor, out in space, was in the middle of a contraption that he was holding onto with all his might

"Engage all defenses"

Proxima Midnight threw her spear at a man in shadows who pivoted his body to catch the weapon.

"And Get this man a shield"

Steve Rogers stepped out into the light, sporting a beard.

Amber and Wanda see who it is and sigh in relief

Black widow impales an enemy

Goodwitch conjures a spell, summoning rubble around her as projectiles

Strange lowers his hands, his magical circles vanishing

Triangular ships descend upon the jungles of Wakanda.

Captain America and Black Panther simultaneously fight off aliens with four clawed arms.

Thanos slams Spider-man down to the ground.

"Fun isn't something one considers when balancing the universe" Thanos spoke

Vision is being held down when a spear impales itself upon his forehead where the Mind Infinity stone resided.

He screamed in complete agony with Penny crying out for him, with tears cascading down her face while she was restrained.

"But this" Thanos said as he placed another of the infinity stones into his gauntlet

He laughed sinisterly, towering over Iron man who looked up at the mad titan in dread.

"Does put a smile on my face"

Thanos curled his gauntlet fist, the two gems glowing.

He then emphatically punched down Iron man to the ground

Winter Soldier cocked his gun while Qrow took a long swig of his drink.

Black Panther glanced back to the army of Wakanda with the Assembled Avengers before his claws came out.

Falcon flew over a field of battle, firing his machine guns with everything he had, yelling out in defiance.

The armies of Thanos and Wakanda ran right at one another

Steve Rogers charged forward, Black Widow, Winter Soldier, Qrow Branwen to his right with Panther, Winter, Ozpin, and Okoye to his left.

Behind them was The Hulk running, War machine and Falcon flying overhead and the Army of Wakanda right behind them in their charge against the enemy.

All the pieces moved in their engagement of the INFINITY WAR

Meanwhile, Thor was breathing heavily within a ship he did not recognize, looking at a group of unusual individuals.

"Who the Hell are you guys?"

Star-lord only gave the god a dry look as the rest of the Guardians stared at the newcomer on their ship.

Mantis waved meekly in hello
