Hey guys, here's a funny story for ya. For years now I always thought that Ash's hair was red and it was pointed out to me that it wasn't so stopped mentioning it so. I even checked the wikia to make sure of it and they were all right. So why is it that I always thought that Ashley's hair was red? Cause I recently checked out my old Xbox 360 and the resolution on my TV made it look like she had Red hair. Small little details, makes me wonder what other color my tv fucked up.
Hmmm….so much on my mind right now. Here's a tip for you all don't work yourself into the ground. I h ad a strenuous three week bender of work and college and I essentially couldn't move for two days after finally getting a break, couldn't even type to the amount of pain in my hands.
Meh, regardless let's pick up where we left off and have Logan and Peter catch up.

Along Came A Spider Chapter 30: Over the Moon, there is trouble all around
"Geez Pete, you've been busy" Was the first words Logan said to his old friend
"That's an understatement" Garrus said "Since coming here, Pete's made our lives plain old crazy"
"What's wrong with that?" Peter asked in mock offense
"Nothing, nothing" Garrus waved his hands in false defense "It's just that…"
"Don't even start" Peter cut him off quickly "Once you begin, I know you're not gonna stop"
"So then" Logan spoke up "How do we get back Pete? Any ideas?"
Peter only slumped down, a remorseful expression clear and present.
"Nothing at all" Peter said, downcast "I've been researching and theorizing several methods that come to mind but this is highly unlikely since some of the tech that I need to pull this off. I'm also not Reed Richards. What I wouldn't give to have him here right about now"
"What about those weird stones we have" Kamala spoke up, mouth full of gyro "Didn't you say they're the reason we're here?"
"More or less, but the tablet of Order and Chaos is extremely volatile as we've already seen" Peter pointed out
"I think it really emphasizes the chaos aspect if anything" Garrus wryly stated "Cause we've been dealing with life threatening situations every time we encounter a piece of it"
"Right now though, it does seem like the tablet is your current best action" Liara said
"But the remaining pieces are scattered across two universes" Peter stated "And most of our finds were by chance and luck. The pieces coming to us"
"We have about what, three so far?" Garrus recounted
"Four" Spidey held up his hand, listing down every tablet piece they possess
"Our first one was from Electro" Peter recalled "Followed by the one Garrus found on Virmire. Then there was Lockdown's ship and now we got one from Doc and Flint"
"So we now have four" Liara reiterated "But the question is, how many pieces are left? How many pieces did the tablet of order and chaos shatter into?"
"Ain't that the question of the day" Logan remarked
"But…" Kamala spoke up softly for the first time "What about those Reapers that you talked about?"
There was an almost instant shift in mood upon Kamala's question, with the former trio of the Normandy looking down a bit dejected.
"We don't know" Garrus admitted shamefully
"After Shepards death" Liara said sorrowfully "The council seemingly switched gears. They commemorated Shepard, our crew and the accomplishments we had pulled off. Anderson was prepping to begin developing advancements in weaponry and technology but after Shepard was killed, those programs were all forcefully scrapped"
"Bureaucratic bullshit" Garrus growled out, arms crossed in anger
He glanced over to Kamala.
"Sorry bout that" He said sheepishly
Logan only snorted at the Turian's behavior.
"So then I'll ask again Pete, what do we do now?" Logan asked patiently
Before he could answer, there was a knock on the door.
The group all paused, sharing looks with one another as a way of silently conveying several questions, 'who's knocking?' and 'did anyone order room service?'.
Garrus approached the door and opened it to reveal one of the employees of the hotel.
"Um, Can I help you?" Garrus asked lamely, making Peter slap a hand over his face
"Yes, a…" The employee held up a piece of paper, reading off of it "A Lieutenant Alenky…no, my mistake, Alenko is waiting for you downstairs"
"Kaidan?" Peter said in surprise
"We'll see him in a moment" Garrus said, nodding in thanks towards the employee who nodded back
"Kaidan's here?" Liara said/asked in surprise
"Wonder why he's here?" Peter mused "Better yet how he knows we're here"
"He's one of your friends, right?" Kamala asked curiously
"Indeed he is" Liara nodded in confirmation
"Then let's see what's up" Peter said "He must've sought us out for something if he found us here"
"Not that it was that hard to find us to begin with" Garrus said knowingly with a shrug "If things start blowing up or going to shit, then people who pay attention usually know it involves in one way shape or form"
"Did you just indirectly blame yourself for problems that may or may not happen?" Logan asked
Garrus momentarily pondered on his words "…Maybe?"
"God, you really have been hanging around Peter all this time" Logan mirthfully shook his head with a chuckle
Garrus's expression was momentarily until his eyes widened with horror and groaned miserably.
"Oh dear god and spirits" Garrus said lowly making Logan laugh outright
Peter on the other hand stared at his friend, feeling self-conscious.
"Jeez, am I really like that?" Peter asked, looking to Liara
Liara only patted him on the shoulder, leaving his question unanswered.
The group eventually made their way downstairs and were in the front lobby.
It didn't take long for one of them to spot their friend.
"There he is" Liara pointed out to the small waiting area with a group of couches grouped together.
There was Kaidan Alenko sitting in civilian clothing along with one Ashley Williams. Beside the two was a man in a civilian-esque military uniform with his complimenting jacket and hat giving him a distinct military vibe.
This of course hardly deterred Liara, Garrus and Peter from lightly speed walking up to their old friends and exchanging hugs with one another.
"It's good to see you guys" Ashley said happily, going for a noogie on Peter
"Nice to know you're all still doing crazy stuff without us" Kaidan joked
"Ugh, you don't know the half of it" Peter said, freeing himself from Ash's grip "Then again…No you guys do know the half of it. Both sides for that matter"
"Alright wordsmith, don't get to articulate with us right now" Ashley remarked, poking the side of Peter's head
It was then that the military man beside them cleared his throat to gain their attention.
"As much as I find this amusing, I hope you two haven't forgotten as to why you both brought me here" He said making Kaidan and Ashley flinch
"Sorry sir" Ashley said respectfully "Everyone, this is Admiral Hackett of the System Alliance's fifth fleet"
"A pleasure to meet you all" Admiral Hackett greeted "Lieutenant Williams and Alenko have said much about you all and the time all of you spent serving under Shepard"
"It was an honor sir" Garrus said with great respect
"And I thank you for sticking by him to the end" Hackett said, particularly to Liara who only hung her head
"So, not to sound rude or anything but why are you here then Admiral?" Peter asked
"There's a serious problem the alliance is facing" Hackett stated getting right to the point "Recently, an alliance training ground where we test soldiers, weapons and new technology has been compromised. One of the VI's which helps in live-fire simulations is no longer responding to the override commands. It's gone Rogue"
'Oh boy' Peter mused 'That's some Skynet type crap right there'
"17 marines died before we realized what had transpired" Hackett said grimly, putting into perspective on how grave the situation is
"So why come to us then?" Peter asked
"This mission was originally intended for Kaidan and Williams" Hackett responded, gesturing to the two lieutenants "However, they insisted on contacting help for this as they had a feeling that this mission may be more risky then what is seen on the surface level. And in my time, I have learned that a soldiers instincts prove more correct 9 times out of 10 then on orders themselves. Anderson also vouched for them so I'm placing my trust in their ability to execute this mission successfully"
"I've already debriefed the two of them on what it is we are dealing with and the rest will be up…to…them…" Hackett trailed off when his eyes landed on one individual in particular
The others were confused by his sudden shift and turned to where he was looking to see a slightly nervous Kamala.
"Um" the young inhuman rubbed her arm "What?"
"Who is this?" Hackett asked suspiciously
"She's with us" Logan instantly came to her defense
Hackett's eyes narrowed at the mutant, analyzing the man before him. It was easy for a military man like Hackett to recognize another soldier who stood before him however that wouldn't be enough to assuage the admiral.
"She's a civilian" Hackett stated "A child civilian at that"
"Sir" Ashley interjected herself hastily "She's with us, trust me on this, we've worked with her before"
"With her?" Hackett held a look of disbelief
"She's a competent fighter in her own right" Peter now spoke up with Hackett's attention shifting to him now
"Sir" Kaidan now cut in, once again shifting Hackett's focus "We've worked with Shepard and the people you see before you. We have unorthodox methods but it has worked and because of that, humanity now has a seat on the council. Please sir, trust us on this. The people you see here are more than capable of helping out the alliance and taking care of the Rogue VI"
Hackett gave Alenko an intense gaze, challenging his stance basically. But Kaidan stood fast and returned his gaze, unwavering in his words.
Finally, Hackett nodded in a show of respect and relented.
"Alright then" Hackett said, turning to leave "I'll leave you both to it, Lieutenants"
And like that, the tension left the area allowing a sigh of relief to pass over the group.
"Whew, that was a crazy bluff you pulled their Alenko" Ashley remarked
"Learned that one from Shepard" Kaidan said
"Nice job there, LT" Peter said appreciatively, patting a shoulder on Alenko
"So" Ashley looked at Logan "You're Logan right? Peter's told us a lot about you. I'm Ashley"
"Kaidan Alenko" Kaidan introduced himself next
"You already know me" Logan said with a shrug
"Um…" Kamala stepped forward "I'm Kamala Khan"
"So you're also from Pete's universe" Ashley mused in slight awe, giving her a cheery grin
"It's all a bit overwhelming for me" Kamala admitted
"Trust us when we say this, it's the same way for all of us" Ashley said kindly, in a sisterly manner
"So What's this about a moon base being compromised by a Rogue VI?" Garrus asked Kaidan, returning to the main focus of the meetup
"Well it'll be a long explanation, so might as well walk to our destination" Kaidan stated "Hope you guys brought equipment"
"Please" Garrus huffed "I never leave home without it"
"Always got mine on hand" Logan said, holding up his knuckles
"And what can you do?" Ashley asked Kamala curiously
"We'll tell you about that on the way as well" Peter said
"Right, let's get going" Kaidan said with a nod
Scene Cut
The walk was short but the prep time was an hour at the very least.
They managed to find a basic suit that fit Kamala perfectly while Logan simply shrugged it off. He pressed his X belt buckle and his suit shifted from his traditional yellow and blue suit to a black and grey variant.
"Nifty" Ashley said in admiration "Wish I could do that with my suit"
"Why do you still have that pink one then?" Peter asked "I thought you'd have changed it up by now"
"I would but this is my only suit that has gotten the most upgrades thanks to our time on the Normandy" Ashley said
"You could just repaint the suit yourself" Liara suggested
Ash opened her mouth only to close it with her face going blank.
"You seriously hadn't considered that?" Kaidan snorted "I did that a few weeks ago"
They had noticed that Kaidan's suit had a more custom look to it, a distinct sharp black with red highlights around his arms and legs and the lieutenant rank on his upper right shoulder. Beneath that rank were the carved insignias of all ranks below lieutenant as Kaidan's reminder of his journey to his current rank.
"Nice" Garrus said, looking at Kaidan's shoulder "You did this yourself?"
"Took me a while" Kaidan said proudly
"Alright" Ashley dryly said "Enough showboating, we've got a moon base to save"
"Is there anyone left in the base?" Peter asked, geared up in his own armor
"That's actually the problem" Kaidan said in total seriousness "The VI is actually holding hostages from the looks of things"
"A VI holding hostages?" Garrus murmured in slight skepticism "How is that even possible?"
"We are talking about a rogue VI here" Liara pointed out "It will perform actions outside its designated programming"
As the rag tag group entered their military transport, Kaidan departed momentarily to speak to their pilot.
"The bigger question is how did this happen exactly" Peter said to Ashley "Last I checked, Rogue VI's are a really rare occurrence"
"That's what I thought" Ashley said "There's something more to this then just a Rogue VI"
"So what are we dealing with here than in terms of defenses?" Garrus asked
"There's three bunkers" Ash held up her hand with the number "Mostly Drone defenses with a few humanoid models in the mix. Our main targets are the VI conduits that keep the VI in control of each bunker. We'll simply destroy them since the Alliance wants that VI gone"
"Usually when we do something like that, there's always a defensive measure in place" Garrus said
"You're right" Ashley nodded to the Turian "The bunkers have shield grids and turrets along with…"
Ash pulled up her Omni-tool to look over just what else the moon base had in store for them.
"Toxic emitters?" Ash said incredulously "Why in the hell would an alliance base need that as a defensive measure?!"
"One that clearly is holding back more than it seems" Kaidan said, returning to them "We'll be taking off in a few moments"
"Wow" Kamala whispered "I'm on a spaceship"
"So how are we gonna be doing this?" Logan asked
"We'll be splitting into two groups and take out two bunkers before meeting up at the main compound and shut the VI down" Ashley explained "Biotic in each group"
"So that means you'll be working with Ash, Liara" Kaidan said to the Asari
"No problem" Liara said with a nod
"Spidey, you'll be with me" Kaidan said "Garrus will go with us as well"
"What about us?" Kamala spoke up
"Huh" Kaidan momentarily pondered, scratching his chin
"Well what can you do?" Ashley asked curiously "We already know what Logan can do thanks to Peter telling us"
"Oh" Kamala was now excited as she really has been able to display her powers "I have super strength, can grow to large size, really stretchy stuff like Mister Fantastic, but also shrink"
To demonstrate, Kamala held up her hand which enlarged itself to the size of Garrus.
"Whoa" Kaidan remarked, clearly impressed
"That is awesome" Ashley said until her face scrunched up "But that also makes you a bigger target"
"Not a problem" Kamala waved off "I can also become smaller….though I don't do it very often so sorry if I'm a bit out of practice"
Without warning, Kamala scrunched up her face and looked as though she was straining her entire body which was giving off a yellowish glow.
Right before their eyes, Kamala had shrunken down to the size of a toy doll. She waved happily at them, eliciting a laugh out of Peter and Ash.
"Aw she looks so adorable" Ashley said, gazing down at the young hero fondly who gave her a cheerful smile
"Alright then" Kaidan said with satisfaction "We have our objectives and we know what we need to do. Kid you're coming with me"
"Wish Tali were here though" Garrus said melancholy "Bet she could shut the VI down in a snap"
"All we gotta do is just destroy the conduits" Ashley said, patting Garrus on the shoulder "Much easier and simpler than being a tech wiz"
"Good point" Logan said, lighting up a cigar he had on him "Always did like it simple"
"I think you and I are gonna get along great" Ashley said with a grin making Logan smirk at her character
"You know what pinky, yeah, maybe we will" Logan commented making Ash gape at his little jibe making her cross her arms and puff out her cheeks which in turn made the entire group laugh
Scene cut
The team was dropped off by a flyby from an alliance ship on two modified Mako's that are meant for quick run and gun operations. It was not like the old Mako on the Normandy which was able to hold the entire team plus an additional two people. No, these were four man vehicles at most with a driver, two passengers and one to man the turret.
Ashley and Kaidan were the drivers while they had Liara and Garrus helm the cannons.
"We've got turrets" Kaidan announced, driving right toward their designated bunker
"We've got 'em" Garrus said confidently, effectively destroying the automated defense turrets with Liara slightly behind him but still successfully doing so.
"Turrets eliminated" Liara said
"Then let's clear out these bunkers" Ashley announced.
Both teams exited their Mako's and entered the first two bases.
With Liara and Ashley, stood front and center with his claws out while walking through the first room of their bunker.
And it was a good thing that Logan was front and center as a humanoid drone ran right at them guns a blazing.
Logan hissed in pain at taking so many shots suddenly, greatly worrying his teammates behind him but he pressed on and slashed at the drone with a clean cut. The drones head was sliced into pieces, collapsing a moment later.
All hell broke loose as rocket drones, security drones and humanoid drones all rushed at them with blaring red optics.
"What the hell is this?!" Ashley yelled out, immediately taking cover with Liara and Logan "This is nothing like what Alliance command told us about this base"
"Something feels off" Logan said, taking a whiff of the air "You said that this base is an experimental base right? For tech and training?"
"Yes?" Ash was unsure of where Logan was going with this
"What exactly can this place do?" Logan asked
"Well" Ashley briefly contemplated, the sound of gunfire overhead "There is a drone maintenance area for each bunker to repair and…build…more drones"
"But shouldn't that be impossible?" Liara asked the lieutenant, throwing up a biotic shield with some strain as she withstood a small barrage of rockets
"Looks like there's more to this than we thought" Logan said, readying himself to charge in
"Logan" Ash realized what he was gonna do "What are you doing?"
"Just get ready to fire" Logan growled out
"I'd rather you not get shot at" Ashley said, grabbing Logan's arm
"Then what's the plan?" Logan asked
"Liara" Ashley turned to her "Get ready to throw out some biotic fields"
Liara's biotics coursed around her arms.
"On three" Ashley said, the trio in a crouching position ready to spring out from their cover.
"One…Two…Three" Ashley shouted and they sprang out from their cover
Liara immediately ensnared several drones with her biotics allowing Logan and Ashley to pick them off in rapid succession.
Wolverine rolled forward to avoid more gun fire, impaling two drone heads upon getting back up to his feet.
Keeping his claws in one of the drones, Logan whirled around and threw the drone into a cluster of other drones.
Ashley took that to her advantage and tossed a grenade into the grouped drones, effectively taking them all out.
There was little time for celebration as more drones were already coming in from the next room.
"What the hell is going on?!" Ashley shouted out, switching to her flamethrowers to unleash a torrent of fire upon the drones "What kind of intel did Alliance give us?! This is a small army for all I care"
"Something is clearly wrong" Liara was holding together some more drones with great strain which was quickly alleviated thanks to Wolverine hacking and slashing away at them in rapid succession
"I hope the others are faring better than we are" Liara grunted, switching to her rifle
Scene Cut
"Son *BANG* of *BANG* a *BANG* Bitch" Kaidan swore, using his shotgun to destroy the drones near him.
Beside him, large fist smacked a rocket drone into a wall, shattering into pieces upon impact.
Spider-man fired out several body sized webs, capturing a group of drones which Garrus sniped with his customized rifle.
Testing out a new feature, Garrus leaped back to cover while looking through his scope. Through the scope was a crosshairs that analyzed the readout of a humanoid drone. When the circle around the crosshairs shifted from red to green, Garrus pulled the trigger. His shot fired out and immediately it broke off into a dozen or so separate rounds which destroyed eleven other drones other than the ones Garrus had originally targeted.
Getting behind cover, Garrus reloaded quickly before returning into the fray.
"Spirits I love this gun" Garrus said excitedly "But I hate this bunker"
"Yeah, Kaidan" Peter remarked, weaving through the gunfire "Thought you said this was supposed to be a cake walk. These drones are running like it's 28 days later here"
"I realize that" Kaidan grit out, nearly swarmed by a group of drones
Luckily with his own biotics and Ms. Marvel being nearby, they expunged the bots.
"There's the conduits" Kaidan pointed out
"I got one" Kamala declared, winding back an arm with a spin before launching her enlarged hand. Her fist demolished the conduit.
"That's too awesome" Garrus murmured, snapping to the right to shot a rocket drone then another VI conduit
Kaidan did so with next conduit followed by Spider-man and after several more minutes of struggling, the team cleared out the enemy forces.
"Is it always this crazy" Kamala groaned, nursing her knuckles
"Usually" Peter said with a sigh "How ya feeling?"
"Uh…" Kamala held up her trembling hand, letting out a nervous laugh "A little bit…jittery"
"That's fine" Spidey said, patting her on the shoulder "Had the same feeling when I started out"
"Same here" Garrus said
"Still…" Kaidan looked around the wreckage of the bunker "There should not have been this many drones. Especially these types"
Kaidan nudged a humanoid drone.
"Wonder what's going on here then" Spider-man said, crouching down to examine one of bots "These guys did not hold together that well. Fell apart rather easily from the looks of it"
"Did Admiral Hackett mention anything else about this place?" Garrus asked Kaidan "Aside from the whole thing about this facility being a testing and training base"
"No" Kaidan showed clear confusion "None of this. And Hackett is no beat around the bush bullshit type of guy. From what I hear, Anderson spoke really highly of this guy"
"So maybe it's something else?" Kamala suggested
"You may be right in that Ms. M" Kaidan said with a nod "Especially with our luck"
"Think the others are doing alright?" Garrus said
"One way to find out" Kaidan accessed his comms.
What none could see however was the fact that within the helmet Kaidan was wearing was the Normandy ID card he had received from Peter after their takedown of Saren. It was a card the entire original crew of the Normandy held and used at all times when it came to communication, especially with each other.
"Ash" Kaidan said "How are you holding up?"
"Our Bunker is cleared out" Ash responded from her end "Was a lot more than we were told"
"Same thing on our end" Kaidan said disgruntled "Let's synch up. Rather not go in one at a time in the last bunker. God knows what that bunker is like"
"Agreed" Ashley said "By the way. Were any of the so called defensive measures activated?"
"No…Why?" Peter asked
"We have not triggered any precautions on our end as well" Liara said worriedly
"Can we please get to the bottom of this?" Garrus grunted "This place is starting to give me the creeps"
"Me too" Kamala said with a slight shiver
"Let's get moving then" Kaidan said
Scene cut
The bunker was quiet. Too quiet.
Not a site nor sounds of drones were heard as the team traversed into the bunker unimpeded by any resistance. This of course did not sit well with most of them.
Not willing to take any chances, Spider-man lead first and foremost allowing his spider-sense to be their radar.
It was mostly silent with ambient noise of the machinery and bunker being the only sound emanating around them which actually added to unsettling the crew.
"Alright" Peter said "Not to jinx us or anything but why haven't we been shot at?"
"No arguments here" Garrus concurred "Not that I want to get shot at….It's just too damn quiet"
"Logan" Peter looked back to the feral mutant "Anything you could pick up that I can't?"
Logan took a few sniffs in the air, grunting a bit.
"Nothing but metal" He replied "There's a lot here so I don't think my smell will be able…to…"
Growing silent, a curious expression replaced Logan as he tilted his head down.
"Logan?"
"Sh" The mutant held up his hand, his expression becoming more focused "Do you guys hear that?"
The team glanced at one another in confusion.
"Hear what?" Ash asked
"Listen" Logan said, beginning to slowly walk forward "There's something there"
"I don't know what you're…talking…." Ashley grew silent as well
Soon enough the rest of them began hearing an unusual sound in the air. One they did not expect to find here.
"Is that…?" Kaidan strained to listen
"Disney music?" Kamala finished
"Huh?" everyone said at once
"No seriously" Kamala said quickly "Listen, that sounds a lot like a Disney song….except really creepily all things considered"
Once again concentrating on the music, they began hearing a slightly weird festive tone followed by…
"Strings?" Garrus repeated
"….No Strings on me…"
"That's Pinocchio!" Peter realized immediately
"What's a Pinocchio?" Garrus asked
"A human animated film from the 20th century" Kaidan explained
"Ok, but what? Was there some theater here that alliance didn't tell us about that plays old Disney classics?" Ashley rhetorically asked
"Let's find out then" Garrus said
Deciding the time for action was now, the entire group rushed in with Kaidan and Liara having their Biotics ready to throw up shielding for them if need be.
However they found the bunker practically empty. There was quite literally nothing in here. Nothing but the sounds of Pinocchio's 'No strings on me.
"Alright, what hell is this?" Ash asked/whisper shouted
"Where are all the drones?" Liara asked
"Where is anything for that matter" Kaidan added, seriously off put by everything right now
"Let's investigate the area" Ashley said getting a nod from Kaidan.
The team branched out into pairs, with Kamala being the third wheel to Garrus and Peter not that they minded.
"Gah, never thought a freaking Disney song would creep me the hell out right about now" Peter whined slightly at the incessant replay of 'No strings on me'.
"Don't know about this song" Garrus said "But ain't Disney some kid friendly human entertainment?"
"Something like that, yeah" Peter confirmed
"This doesn't feel very kid friendly" Kamala said, looking around to make sure nothing would get the jump on them
"I second that" Peter said, examining a VI conduit
"There's nothing here" Ashley said aloud from her end of the room "Nothing at all. No drones, no weapons, nothing. Even the VI is gone!"
"What?" Kaidan said in clear alarm, rushing over to her side of the area "Are you sure? Was anything else taken?"
"No" Ashley was clearly irritated by what was going on "Nothing was taken, deleted or even copied. The VI is just gone. That's all"
Suddenly the music stopped playing, making some jolt but Liara quickly spoke up.
"That was me, apologies" She said sheepishly "I had discovered the terminal in which the music was playing and shut it off"
"No complaints from us here" Logan said, looking to the lieutenants "So what do we do now? This is your op"
"We call it in" Kaidan said right away "Get a few tech specialists in here and see if they could find something we didn't see. The bunkers are clear of hostiles. Right now, that's the best we could afford"
With no one arguing, the two Alliance soldiers called in command to report their mission a success.
Though all present knew it wasn't as clean as they had originally hoped for.
Something else was going on here and they couldn't see what it was.
And that both frustrated and scared them all. Nothing worse than knowing a threat may be there and not being able to see it.

It reached out and held up the head of a drone, examining it before crushing the head in its hands.
"Puppets" the mechanical voice said boredly "They can be replaced"
The figure tapped its fingers upon its chin "Still, there's not just one of them anymore"
Though it could not grin, the tone in the voice held sinister intentions.
"This should be interesting"

The rag tag team was back on Earth at an alliance base, with Kaidan and Ashley getting debriefed by Hackett.
Garrus, Liara, Peter, Kamala and Logan all hung around the cafeteria, waiting for their friends to return.
"Whew" Peter rested his forehead on the table "You know, that mission was really short, but it sure as hell felt like a long day"
"It's been a long week" Garrus pointed out "Not a lot of rest period in between"
"Good point" Peter agreed, raising his head up
"So now what do we do?" Logan asked
"Now?" Peter pondered Momentarily "Now we get you to the citadel. We help you guys get adjusted with this place"
He then leaned forward onto the table, a serious face on.
"And we start finding answers" Peter said in a non-nonsense tone "We learn what we can about the Reapers, we look across the galaxy for anything that can help us get home. We find the rest of the tablet of order and chaos and we finish the job here"
Logan and Kamala stared at the web-head.
Kamala looked on in awe, with a twinkle in her eyes of pure admiration and hero-worship.
Logan only grinned in respect.
"We've got your back Pete" Logan nodded

Doctor Octopus was currently being transported away to a facility that was apparently run by a mercenary group called the Blue Suns.
He was bound thoroughly, making sure that he could not escape.
Not that it mattered to him.
He would find a way out eventually in one way shape or form.
This wasn't the first time Doc had been captured nor shall it be the last.
In his decade long career of constant battles with Spider-man, Otto Octavius would always get free to confront his opponent. He would not rest until he had at long last beaten down his arch-nemesis and prove to all that he was the superior all along.
In a holding cell next to him was the still unconscious Flint Marko. Apparently his defeat coupled with his abrupt severed connection from that stone did a number on his body and brain.
But Doc was confident in his allies ability to eventually recuperate and aid in his escape.
These mercenaries were clearly none the wiser of their powers.
Doc only grinned maniacally when suddenly their transport jolted, with the lights crackling with electricity before they went out.
Around him, outside the walls of his confinement was the sounds of fighting and shouting.
There were unusual bursts of whirring noises that slightly rattled Ocks ear drums.
No sooner had the commotion began did it end.
It was completely silent.
Detecting movement outside, Doc tensely stood up and face the door as he heard footsteps right outside.
There was a crackle of blue lightning, causing Doc's eyes to widen before deftly jumping to the side to avoid the door that was blown off its hinges.
Grunting at the impact onto the hard floor, Otto quickly clambered back up to his feet ready to confront the one who had burst into his cell.
Ocks eyes widened exponentially at the site of a familiar old blue friend who chuckled at his expression.
"Doc" Max Dillon, otherwise known as Electro nodded "Good to see you again"
"Electro?" Otto murmured, making the enhanced superhuman hold up his hand
"I know we got a lot of catching up to do but we gotta get you and Marko out of here" Max stated
"We?" Ock said "Who is we?"
Electro glanced back to a Salarian in a very unusual suit of armor enter.
The helmet he wore flipped back and folded back into the suit.
"Greetings Doctor Otto Octavius" The Salarian greeted "My name is Sakoln and I believe we can help one another"

Avenging Remnant Teaser
Up in the sky, a meteor shaped object was descending on down towards the city of Manhattan.
"The entire time I knew him, he only had one goal" Gamora of the guardians of the galaxy spoke
At Avengers tower, Bruce Banner, Natasha Romanov and James Rhodey all stared up into the sky.
"To wipe out half the universe"
Down on the streets, a blind lawyer twitched his head, before looking up. His friends stopped to see why he was looking up.
The reflection of the flaming object was seen on the window of the New York Sanctum.
"If he gets all the infinity stones" Gamora held up her hand "He could do it with the snap of his fingers *SNAP*, just like that"
Tony looked on only in dread "Tell me his name again"
"Thanos"
Salem stared up at Thanos as he removed his helm
Peter slipped on his mask while Jaune grinned, finally able to use his newest toy.
Spider-man swung into action with Jaune right behind him on a hover board.
"We've got one advantage" Tony stated
The ship of Thanos began to depart from New York with Iron Man hot on his trail.
"He's coming to us"
His thrusters morphed together into a singular rocket boost, catching up to the circular ship.
Doctor strange looked back wearily to Glynda and Ozpin before activating the Eye of Agamoto.
"We have what Thanos wants"
Wanda looked back down onto Vision who was breathing heavily.
"So that's what we use"
The Avengers arrive in Wakanda with T'challa personally greeting Steve and Natasha.
Behind them were a contingent of the Avengers with several new faces from Remnant.
"Let's talk about this plan of yours" Peter Quill conversed with Tony with Drax, Peter, Jaune and Ruby looking on in amusement "I think it's good, except it sucks"
The trio of young teens exchanged bemused glances at one another.
"So let me do the plan and that way, it might be really good" Star-lord said confidently

Down on Earth, the armies of Wakanda flew out from the city into the fields to take on the forces of Thanos, Qrow, Falcon and War Machine flying overhead.
T'challa and Steve looked on in grim determination at the coming battle.
"The end is near" Thanos said
Rocket, Groot, Valkyrie and Nora stood along with Thor who shot up his hand, commanding the lightning to explode around him
"When I'm done" Thanos said slowly "Half of humanity will still exist"
Thanos gripped Thor's head in an attempt to crush it before his Black Order with Proxima Midnight holding her weapon up at Loki's head.
The Mad Titan simply crushed the Tesseract to get to the space stone.
All the while, Winter Soldier loaded his rifle, Qrow brought out his scythe, Steve readied his new shield and T'challa brought out his claws.
In front of Beacon Academy, Ozpin allowed his power to explode at its full might with the rest of his fellow Aura users doing the same.
T'challa's helm materialized over his head. The armies of Wakanda and the armies of Beacon roared out as they charged forward towards their enemies of outlanders and Grimm.
Yang was blown back by Cinder, quickly caught by Blake and Weiss with the trio attacking again.
"Perfectly balanced" Thanos said expectantly "As all things should be
Doctor Strange created platforms on multiple ends allow Jaune, Star Lord and Drax to jump across the field, avoiding the beams being fired at them.
Star Lord was in the air, firing his gun repeatedly while Jaune created an Aura shield to protect him, Ruby, Mantis and Spidey from Thanos's fist.
Amber and Wanda charged up there power and fired with everything they had.
Doctor Strange yelled in complete agony at his torment with Ebony maw only holding up a mocking 'Shh'.
In Wakanda, the fields were a warzone with the outlanders overwhelming the hulkbuster while War Machine, Falcon and Winter(riding atop a glyph platform) flew overhead to fire down upon the outlanders with the rest of Wakanda.
"I hope they remember you" Thanos said in a respectful tone toward a thoroughly beaten down Tony Stark
Thanos brought his hand down only for it to be caught by Captain America who was struggling with all his might and power to hold back Thanos. The giant titan grit his teeth in frustration and anger while Cap roared back defiantly.
Scene cut
"Oh, I'm Peter by the way" Peter said, greeting Stephen Strange
"Ruby Rose" The young Huntress said cheerfully
"Jaune Arc"
"Doctor Strange" The sorcerer said in turn
"Oh" Peter blinked "We're using our made-up names. Then in that case, I'm Spider-man"
Jaune and Ruby stifled laughs while Strange only shook his head in amusement.
Scene cut
Spider-man flung Jaune forward with Ruby being a blur of red petals as the trio weaved and jumped in between the floating debris all the while dodging the meteors flying in behind them
