Chapter 7

A day with the Twins

"Oi, Fred! You think she'll wake up soon?" asked George.

"Hope so, Fred! We've got class in a couple of hours." replied Fred.

Is it Monday already? Man yesterday flew by! Guess I shouldn't study so much. I groaned and cracked my eyes open. "I can bloody hear you..." I mumbled, turning my head in the direction of the twins' voices. Their faces brightened and smiled towards me.

"Ah! There she is!" said Fred, "Morning sunshine!" greeted George.

I rubbed my eyes and blinked before blushing at the close proximity of Fred and George's faces to mine "C-Can I help you?" I asked nervously trying to scoot away from their faces so I could at least breath.

"We just came to wake you up." They replied and leaned forward causing me to blush more, but to my relief they hugged me. I sighed in relief before realizing hugs from the twins always ended up somewhere and tried to push them off.

"G-Get off!" I yelled. The twins chuckled and Fred got up and smiled toward me but George was still hugging me.

"But Raven," whined Fred. "We just wanted to say good morning to you."

"Yeah, no need to get mad." commented George hugging me closer.

"Don't make me cast depulso, George." I hissed still trying to push George off. Fred climbed on top of me and layed down deciding to help George in keeping me in one place. George looked to his brother and smirked, same goes for Fred.

"Raven!" whined Fred.

"Lets spend the day together!" whined George.

"Yeah! Lets go do something! Just the three of us!" said Fred.

"Why?"

"We just want to spend time with you!" said George.

"Besides it's only Monday! No one wants to go to school on a Monday!" said Fred.

I stared at George then at Fred for a few moments before sighing, these two! What do they really want. "...Fine." I sighed.

The twins got up and cheered before pulling me up from the couch and dragging me from the Room of Requirements. The twins drug me down the stairs and onto the ground level of the castle before taking a right at the staircase and through a door. Fred and George dragged me down a long dimly lit corridor. "S-Slow down will you!" I yelled through pants from the non-stop running.

They ignored me and continued dragging me, not long after though they came to a stop. Realizing we finally stopped I collapsed on the ground panting and sighing in relief. "Oi don't die on us" said Fred, who picked me off the ground. Groaning and not fighting I looked at where we stopped.

"A painting?" I deadpanned. "You're kidding me, right?" There was a paining in front of us with a big picture of a bowl of fruit.

"No we aren't sis-" said George, "This here-" said Fred "Is the entrance to the kitchens" said the twins proudly. "The kitchens?" I questioned.

Well now that I think about it all last year the twins walked in with food three hours after dinner was over. They nodded and George walked over to the painting and starting tickling the pear causing it to giggle. The pear transformed into a door handle and George pulled it open allowing Fred and I to go first before he'd follow. The Kitchens have a high ceiling, much like the great hall, at one end of the long kitchen was a big brick fireplace, the preparation tables, which were about the same size as the house tables in the great hall was lined with food for breakfast, along the walls of the kitchen were mounds of brass pots and pans, stoves were lined on one wall, sinks on another, at the back of the kitchens opposite of the gigantic fireplace were two large doors probably holding fresh ingredients in one and ingredients that needed to be frozen or refrigerated. Scattering about the kitchens were, by the looks of it, over a hundred house-elves. "W-Wow!" I mumbled in shock. "N-No way?!" I smiled at all of them working and bustling around. "This is amazing!"

Fred and George smiled at me and dragged me over to one of the tables and sat me down at the end. Fred pulling out my chair and George pushing me back in. I blushed at the gesture as the twins sat down.

"So what do you fancy today, sis?" asked George.

"What?"

"What do you want to eat?" asked Fred.

"Just something simple, not much." I mumbled. They nodded and George called over a house elf to tell him what we wanted. Fred and George smiled at me and said nothing more. I began to fidget nervously in my seat.

"U-um..." I didn't know what to say, what can I say? A house-elf brought us, bacon, roasted potatoes, scrambled eggs, biscuits, sausage, and toast. I happily piled my plate as did the twins.

I ate in silence as the twins talked happily about what and who they were going to prank next and what they wanted to do today. "Hey, Raven!" purred George, who was right beside me. I jumped at his voice, I didn't even hear him get up!

"Y-Yeah?" I stuttered.

"Lets skip today!"

"Yeah we can spend our day back in Hogsmeade!" commented Fred.

"What? Its barely Halloween and you want to skip already?"

"Well it's not like we'll need to know any of this stuff anyway!" said George.

"C'mon one day wont hurt!" said Fred.

Sighing I wanted to head back to bed but since I was already awake I couldn't and I know all that we're learning in all my classes.

"I guess one day won't hurt. As long as no one sees us..." I replied mumbling the last part. Fred and George cheered before dragging me off somewhere else, forgetting about breakfast.

"W-wait can't I at least change first!" I yelled as I was being pulled up to the fifth floor which would lead us to the clock tower which would lead us out to the grounds.

"No one's got time for you to change! You take forever!" George teased.

"I do not!" I defended.

"Yes you do, we should know! We live with you!" teased Fred.

I groaned and let them drag me off.

"Besides we'd figured you'd need clothes so we brought you some of ours." they said.

"W-What?! I'm not gonna wear your clothes!" I yelled blushing at the thought of wearing their clothes. They just chuckled and kept dragging me along.

At the Three Broomsticks, I was standing in front of Fred and George blushing. I can't believe I'm wearing their clothes! This is humiliating! I was wearing a pair of Fred's black pants, which I had to have a belt on in order to keep them from falling to my knees, and George's red plaid shirt on.

"Aw you look cute in our clothes!" teased Fred.

"I do not!" I exclaimed toward the two.

George's shirt was a bit too big on me but I was at least comfortable. Fred and George smiled before ordering three Butterbeers. Mumbling to myself I sat down and waited for the Butterbeers to arrive. "Oh cheer up sis!" said George.

"Yeah! What afraid someone's gonna see us?" asked Fred. I scoffed at my brothers.

"No, everyone's in class." I replied in a huff. "What do I have to be afraid of?" The twins laughed as our Butterbeers arrived.

"Everything." they replied.

Giving them a questioning look I grabbed my Butterbeer and took a sip. Ah, Butterbeer. Its nice butterscotchy taste, yum! "So, Raven?" came Fred's voice, bringing me out of my blissful moment. "What shall we do next?" asked George as he drank his Butterbeer.

"I bet Raven wants to go to Honeyduke's, but I hear she already has her sweets." I narrowed my eyes at them, they probably found out from Angelina that I was in Zonko's hinting I bought something before hand or one of my classmates snitched on me while I was eating some sweets.

"What makes you say that?" I asked.

"We can tell when you're on a sugar high." deadpanned Fred and George. I opened my mouth to argue but quickly closed it. Fred and George smirked at their victory.

Scoffing at my brothers, i drank the rest of my Butterbeer and stood up. Fred and George gave me a confused look. "Where are you going?" asked Fred.

"Where do you think?" I replied walking toward the door as Fred and George stood up to follow after me, after Fred paid. They jogged to catch up with me as I took a left to walk down a street.

"You want to go to Honeyduke's again?" teased Fred.

"You ate all your stash already?" asked George suspiciously.

"Don't be stupid I've got it hidden away. I just want to get some more to enjoy for the rest of the day." I replied looking over my shoulder, smirking at the twins before entering Honeyduke's. They looked at each other and followed me inside. I grabbed handfuls of sweets and paid for it before waiting on the twins to quit talking and get done with getting what they wanted. Geez, this feels like a date I didn't want to go on. I felt my face heat up after that thought causing me to curse at myself. What the hell am I thinking? Like I would blush over some little "date" with Fred and George. Scoffing I decided to go wait outside away from the eyes of the people inside. I leaned on against the window of the shop waiting for the boys to hurry up.

I started to zone out before the boys even made it outside. Sneaking up beside me they leaned down and their lips touched my cheek. Bringing me back down to earth I gave out a small shriek with heat rising to my face. "W-what are you doing?!" I screeched pushing them both away. I stomped away from them and went towards the way back to school.

"Aw come on, Raven!" whined Fred.

"We were just teasing!" George whined.

"Nice try." I growled.

Fred and George grabbed my arms and turned me around. "We mean it!" they whined dragging me away from the direction of school.

"Fine..." I mumbled letting them drag me to Zonko's Joke Shop.

I rolled my eyes as the shop fell into my sight. Of course they would take me to the joke shop. We rushed inside and they left me at the door to buy more products. Are you kidding me? I followed them around and looked at all the merchandise. I smiled seeing the twins faces, they were talking excitedly about what they would use for their next joke and what they do for their Halloween pranks and then what they would use for Christmas. I could hear whispering coming from all around me as I leaned against the wall waiting for the twins. I glared at everyone who whispered about me in front of me and those who stared at me. Great school skippers were here, just can't get away from them. The twins looked at me and I smiled apologetically and left the store.

I walked all the way back to the Three Broomsticks and waited for the twins to get here, while waiting I ordered a Butterbeer. The twins walked in ten minutes later and looked around the pub for any signs of me. I slid down further into the booth hoping to avoid them, but my efforts backfired and they slid into the booth.

"Oi! Why'd you run off?" they asked.

"Because it was boring." I lied smoothly taking a sip of my Butterbeer.

"Really?" They asked suspiciously raising an eyebrow.

They saw through it of course. Fred and George gave me this sad puppy look they give me when they want something. Here we go, the puppy look. "What?" I asked leaning back in the booth.

"Do you hate us?"

Oh for the love of Merlin, again? "No we've been through this I don't hate you." I said kindly, maybe I should just give up and go with the flow. Nothing wrong with doing that this once, right?

"Then you love us, right?"

I could practically hear the smirk rising to their lips. "Sure, of course." I replied. They smiled and Fred moved over and plopped down next to me slinging his arm over my shoulder.

"Great!" they said. "Then you can hold our hands for the rest of the day." said George.

"W-what?!" I blurted out with a light blush staining my cheeks. George leaned closer to my face and nuzzled against my cheek. My face practically exploded into the color of a tomato. I didn't say or do anything I just sat there frozen.

"W-w-what are you doing?!" I screeched in a hushed tone.

George didn't say anything, and I looked toward Fred. He smiled at me and whined to George. "George, that's not fair!" I finally regained the ability to move and I pushed George away from my face and scooted away from him

"What the hell do you think you're doing?!" I hissed holding my hand to my cheek.

"Aww don't be like that, Raven!" whined George. "I'm just showing you how much I love you."

"Well knock it off!" I hissed again my blush counteracting the seriousness I meant to put off. These two seriously! What's wrong with them?! Would this be considered harassment? Nah I don't think it would this is their usual creepy harassing selves. I couldn't help but giggle at my own thoughts. This is just how they express their brotherly love to me, right? In a very charming, funny, creepy way! I began to have a mental argument with myself that I didn't notice George pick me up slightly and placed me on his right side and Fred took the empty spot on my right. Feeling the twins kiss my cheeks was what made me come out of my mental argument. I blushed as red as my hair as I tried to figure out how to get the twins away from me. Their kiss to the cheek went to the corner of my mouth.

I remembered something Molly would do, pull them by the ear. I grabbed one of Fred and George's ears and pulled with not too much force but not too little force. They gave out a yelp of pain and pulled away in order to get my hands away from their ears.

"Ow! Raven!" yelped Fred.

"Ow! Ow,ow, ow, OW!"

"Let go!"

I gave their ears a harsh tug. "Now stop it!" I yelled quietly so that whatever people were in here they wouldn't hear me.

"Okay!" They screeched I released them from their pain.

"You two are so weird!" I hissed. "What is wrong with you?!"

They didn't say anything and just rubbed their ears to douse the pain. I puffed out my cheeks and crossed my arms in anger, not looking at them. "Raven~!" they whined, "We're sorry, we didn't think you would take it that seriously." apologized George. "Yeah, it's just a little love, sis." commented Fred.

"A little love?!" I hissed, "That is not what brothers do to show their love to their sister!" Fred and George didn't say anything but I could practically feel the smirk spreading across their faces.

Fred and George dragged me out of the Three Broomsticks and down the street. "H-Hey! Where are we going?!" I yelled.

"We're gonna get you something special." they replied.

"What?" I asked, "Why?"

"You said what we did," began George, "Was not what brothers do to show their love for their sister." continued Fred.

I stared at the two confused as to what they meant. "Excuse me?"

"We're gonna buy you something, that's more acceptable right?" They smiled.

"Um, I'd prefer to just go buy mo-"

"No, you are gonna take what we give you!" they inturrupted.

"What?! Stop!"

My shouts were unheard as the twins dragged me into some shop I didn't care to look at. I nearly screamed at what was inside. Pink. Pink frilly things. In my opinion pink frilly things shouldn't even exist! I gawked at the awful things that surrounded me and made an immediate dash for the door. "Now where are you going, sis?" asked the twins pulling me further into a shop.

I'm doomed, DOOMED! I think the walls are closing in. Is that dress dancing by itself? Is that manikin talking. I don't want to be in this place any longer! Fred, or George, pushed me down into a chair. I didn't care who it was at the moment, any longer in the bright pink colors I might just die. "Stay here!" They ordered running off into the shop. I looked around for the safety of any black clothing and the path to the door. How did they even KNOW about this place?! I scrambled out of the chair and looked around. Fred and George were looking at something, their backs to me. They looked like they were really focusing on what they were getting. I sighed and shuddered as I sat back down. I decided to give them a chance on whatever the hell it is they wanted to show me in this hell hole.

Fred and George soon came back with George holding something.

"Close your eyes." said Fred. I gave them a questioning look but closed my eyes. I felt one of the twins lift up my hair and the other place something around my neck. They then pushed me somewhere and made me stop.

"Okay you can open your eyes now!" they said. I opened my eyes and looked at what they put around my neck. Around my neck was a black lace choker with five different black chains hanging off of the choker and crisscrossing over the other, and hanging in the middle was a ruby red heart. I gasped as I looked at the necklace. It was so beautiful! What is something like this doing in a shop like this?

"It's beautiful!" I gushed admiring myself in the mirror. The twins smiled and got close to my face pecking me on the cheeks.

"Glad you think so." they hummed. I blushed and turned away from them and checking my watch.

"Ah! It's almost lunch time!" I yelled out changing the subject. "We should get back before anyone knows we're gone!"

The twins looked at me with defeated look and reluctantly nodded. Sighing with relief, taking the chance to escape before the twins changed their mind I dashed out of the shop and back towards the school.

I came to a stop in front of the Clock Tower Courtyard and I hunched over my hands on my knees as I tried to calm my breathing. I sighed when my breath started to mellow out. I looked over my shoulder and seen the twins slumped on the ground panting.

"Oi!" They hollered. "Did you have to run so fast?!"

I scoffed at the two, "Yes, I didn't want to skip lunch." I said nonchalantly and shrugged as I stood up straight. I walked over to the portrait of Damara Dodderidge and said, "Crumpets." Odd password I know, these portraits come up with weird passwords.

The portrait swung open and I ran through the halls and out the other side of the portrait the led out onto the grand staircase. I ran up and back down several staircases before jumping down a few stairs and landing right in front of the golden Great Hall doors. I regained my composer before the twins came tumbling down the stairs trying to catch up with me. I opened the door and calmly walked through glaring at what little students were in there as I made my way to the middle of the Slytherin table where Cassius, Adrian, Graham, and Jesse were already seated. I waved and sat down.

"Oi, where ya been?" asked Cassius.

"Yeah, what's up with the necklace?" asked Graham.

"Looks nice on you." smiled Adrian.

"Took a small trip to Hogsmeade, found this in a shop. Liked it. Bought it." I replied with a shrug. "Simple as that."

"They had that in a shop?" asked Jesse with a raised eyebrow. "Hard to believe."

"I know that's what I thought!" I laughed as the twins ran into the Great Hall like they normally did. They looked over at me and smiled, the boys sneered at Fred and George and I gave a small smile before replacing it with a sneer. I had fun with the boys. I'll admit that today's been fun.
