This story starts about a year after Jamie and Eddie were married. They decide to become licensed foster parents and get placed with Emily, a 13-year-old girl, who has lived through some of the worst things you could imagine. P.S. I know that some aspects of this story are inaccurate according to the real world but this is of course, a work of fiction.

It will take a few tries on his part, and a lot of convincing, but he eventually manages to get her to take care of herself. All in a day's work for the Police Commissioner.
