They reached the outskirts of nami no kuni in 5 hours at their top speed.
But as they reached the bridge, their eyes met a horrible scene.
Dead bodies everywhere. it was like a massacre happened here.
"Akatsuki" Sasuke muttered under his breath.
Karin flinched when he saw a head without eyesballs lying besides her feet. there were even worst cases to be find there.
"it seems like it happened four days ago." siad jugo. sasuke nodded.
"karin find a trail" he ordered.
karin focused her senses to find any chakra trails that could lead them to the akatsuki.
" they crossed the bridge and there are massive chakra remains in the forest, as if there was a great battle happened there. but it is old, probably two or three days ago." she informed her leader.
" follow the trail , take us to that battle area." she nodded and the hebi started towards the bridge.
sasuke looked at the name of the bridge and he couldn't stop the barrage of memories that attacked his mind.
"the great naruto bridge, hmm isn't that the name of that leaf brat, eh sasuke? the one who came with his team to retrieve the scroll. you knew him from before, right?"
Suigetsu can be smart when he wasn't supposed to be.
"shut up" he said in his coldest voice. it sent shivers down his team's back.
"yeah yeah, i was just trynna start a conversation, and that reminds me didn't you have a hot chick in your team as well, you know that pink one" just as he muttered this, sasuke had his sword at his neck and said "say one more word and I'll kill you in the worst possible ways." his sharingan was spinning wildly..
a "sorry" was the only thing that Suigetsu could afford at the time, that sword was pretty sharp and was held right on his vital nerves.
sasuke grunted and shoved Suigetsu away.

Suigetsu rubbed his bruised neck and frowned but followed sasuke anyway.

"Hokage-sama, there is a message from our informnats in the wave country." yurika from Konoha's Cryptanalysis Team said as she barged in the hokage's office.
"Is the message decoded?" asked her leader.
"yes Hokage-sama, shikamaru-san was there when the message arrived, he was able to decrypt the message quickly"
As tsunade read the message and grasped its meaning quickly, her eyes narrowed.
"call team seven along with hyuga Neji and Nara Shikamaru, right now" yurika nodded and left the office to do as her leader has ordered her.

"roshi" a feminine voice supplied the information.
"ha, even his name is stupid, just like that stupid tailed beast inside of him"
"shut up brat" came a bored reply.
"yeah you are complaining for the past three hours." said the feminine voice.
"yeah, but that's because i have to carry him, why don't the two of you carry him un?" he exclaimed.
"oh, do you really want to know why, deidara" said the third member, it gave deidara a look which promised pain.
deidara quickly shook his head."no mam, i am happy to carry this burden for you"

And sasori just restrained himself from laughing at his team's antics. he has a facdae to maintain. laughing is not in his standards. He is not supposed to have emotions, but since this little fire has came into his life, he is feeling some of those treacherous emotions.

As they reached the clearing where a battle supposed to be happened three or four days ago, it became clear that the akatsuki was here. Only the akatsuki can afford a battle of this scale. and if that's not evidence enough then there was one more thing that just screamed the name 'akatsuki'.
there was a torn black cloak hanging from a branch. When sasuke retrieved the cloak from that branch , one thought rang within his mind, 'it is quite small for a man, and it smells familiar. and it can't be itachi's. are the akatsuki recruiting children now'
"Sasuke-kun i-" karin was cut off by the cold glare she was receiving form their leader whose sharingan was looking directly at her. "sorry" she mumbled an apology and continued informing him of her observations
"i am sensing an enormous amount of chakra from here. it...it is similar to that blonde boy from leaf."
"so there are other people like naruto, who has beasts within them" sasuke summarised.
he turned towards his team and gave them an order which pretty much shocked all of them.
