Warning- Slash! Yaoi! MarioXSonic
Mario makes his way down the corridor, the plumber has no idea why he left his room, but he just felt like a walk. Maybe Mario should of stayed in the room? Sonic could of somehow got away from his visitors to see him. The plumber is so lost in his thoughts that he doesn't see a person exiting their room. Mario and the other person bump into each other. Being the gentlemen he is Mario quickly gets up and helps the other person up.
"I'm so sorry" Mario apologizes to the other person. Seeing that it is princess Zelda, Mario goes red in the face and apologizes more.
"I'm very sorry princess. I wasn't looking where I was going and-" The princess cuts Mario of from his long apology and smiles to the plumber.
"It's quite alright Mario, accidents happen. Are you off to do some training too?" The princess asks the plumber.
"Oh...yea sure!" Mario answers he wasn't really up to see his visitors. Yes Mario loves all of his friends, but his close ones are Luigi and Yoshi and they are already here. Plus the only person Mario would get a visit from is Toadsworth, and Mario doesn't want to have a conversation about a wedding. Zelda smiles to Mario and begins to lead the way towards the portal to the battle zones.
"Come on SONIC! He's your boyfriend!" Amy shouts to the male hedgehog. They have been looking for the red plumber for what seems like forever, and not sight of him.
"I know that!" Sonic shouts back getting annoyed by the pink hedgehog.
"Come on guys...please" Tails pleads at his friends this was not the place to have this conversation. Tails looks down the hallway to make sure no one can hear the three.
"Lets go back in the Mario bros room." Tails says as he usher the two hedgehogs to the twins room. The fox shuts the door behind them, glad to be out of ear shot of anyone.
"Like I was saying!" Amy begins. The three are to busy listening to Amy that they don't see or hear the door opening, and two people walking in.
"Mario is your boyfriend, Sonic. So you should know where he is!" The pink hedgehog shouts pointing at Sonic. Sonic face turns red in anger, but before he could get his words in the sound of a closing door catches his attention. Standing by the door is Luigi and Daisy, Luigi walks up to the hedgehogs and the fox, while Daisy stands there taking in what she had just heard.
"What does she mean, Sonic?" Luigi asks quickly. What he just heard can't be true he's brother is missing again?
"Well...Mario's missing again. And it's my fault, I should of stayed here."
"It's not your fault Sonic. Mario can take care of his self, maybe he's just gone to see Peach." Luigi reassures Sonic. Daisy approaches the four as her mind has finally wrapped around what she heard.
"Ok so I fully understand...Mario and Sonic are a couple? I'm not judging or anything that's totally fine with me, it's got nothing to do with me. Well I guess it kind of does as when me and Luigi get married Mario will become my brother in law, so if Sonic and Mario get married Sonic will become my brother in law too I guess..."
"DAISY!" Luigi shouts as he goes bright red. Amy and Tails just laughs while Sonic goes a bit red too.
"Oh...and I'm sorry to say this...but" Daisy begins but stops and looks to the floor.
"But?" Luigi asks
"I don't mean to upset or scare you guys...but Mario isn't with Peach. I was just with her before meeting you Luigi. She's having tea with Toadsworth and a private conversation about the Mushroom Kingdom. I'm not saying Mario isn't aloud to join them at any point, I'm saying I doubt Mario would like to be there. It can get so boring!" Daisy rolls her eyes remembering the time she got trapped in one of Peach and Toadsworth conversations about the Kingdom.
"You don't think the dark energy force got him do you?" Amy says as she panics and jumps to the worse situation.
"Dark energy force?" Daisy asks
"Calm down Amy. Remember what Tails said." Sonic says to calm the female hedgehog down.
"Sonic's right Amy. Remember the dark energy needs Mario to be under negative emotions." Tails adds
"Tails if I you don't mind me asking. How do you know that?" Luigi asks wondering how the fox knows this information.
"Oh! I read it in a book about it."
"Is there anything in there about stopping it?"
"I've not gotten that far yet. I'll have a look" With that Tails goes over to his bag and gets the book out. The book looks very old and it's quite big too.
"Ok..." Tails says as he goes through many pages to get to where he wants to.
"That's strange...the page for stopping it has been ripped out." Luigi goes over to Tails to look at the book himself.
"The original owner of this book must have done it."
"Who was the original owner?" Sonic asks his little brother.
"Well it was the writer of it, Professor Elvin Gadd."
"E. Gadd" Luigi mutters at the mention of the professor's name.
"Do you know him Luigi?" Tails asks noticing how Luigi had acted at the mention of the name.
"Yes...I know him. He's a close friend"
"Great! now we can just invite him here and get this dark energy force!" Sonic shouts determine to get the dark energy force, before it hurt anyone else or his Mario.
"Yeah! I'll call him now it shouldn't take that long for him to get here." Luigi cheers, but before the plumber could do anything a bright light fills the room, blinding everyone. When the light finally calms down and everyone can see again, they all look to where the light came from. Standing there is a old looking man, he walks up to Luigi and smiles.
"Luigi my boy!" The old man greets
"Professor E. Gadd? I was just about to call you. Why are you here?"
"Well there's a huge paranormal activity signal from here."
"I thought you're too old for ghost haunting?"
"I am my boy! but this signal is non other then the creature I've called the dark energy force. Lets just say me and this creature have a past, and I want to see it locked away, away from causing people harm!"
"Yea that dark energy force isn't the nicest thing."
"You've seen it Luigi?"
"Yes...it tried to take over Mario"
"...That's not good." The Professor looks up and sees his book in the foxs hands.
"Ah my book! I was wondering where that went." E. Gadd says changing the subject a bit.
"Oh yes. Um...Professor I was wondering why did you rip out the page to stop the dark force?" Tails asks as he hands the Professor his book to him.
"I didn't rip in out. I just found out how to stop them, but the dark creatures ripped it from my grasp. Everytime I tried to write it down the same would happen, so I thought the best place to keep it is in my head, but with my old age I've forgotten some of it. Which I'm very ashamed of forgetting, but years aren't ever kind to the brain."
"Ok..well at least we know what they look like right?" Daisy asks hoping they have the upper hand.
"We know what they look like in their real form. They can change to look like anyone they want too, they are very good with confusing the mind. That's how they can bring even the most happiest person to their knees. You said he tried to take control of Mario, Luigi?"
"Yes but we stopped it."
"Ok good. As long as Mario is with people that will bring happiness then we won't have a problem. Where is your brother?"
"Well...we don't know."
"Ok that is a problem. We must locate Mario now!" E. Gadd orders and leads the group out of the room. The group begins their search down the stairs to the main hall to see if anyone has seen the red plumber.
"Oh there you are Luigi." Peach says in a sweet tone.
"Oh hi Peach. Have you seen Mario?" Luigi quickly asks the pink princess wanting to get straight to it.
"That was what I was about to ask you"
"Are you looking for Mario? I've seen him." Pac-man says as he approaches the group of people.
"Where?" Sonic asks trying to act all calm about it.
"I saw him and Zelda just talking and walking down one of the corridors."
Before anyone could ask the yellow ball anything, at the top of the stairs Princess Zelda weakly walks towards them holder her head. At the sight Link quickly got into action running towards the princess.
"Zelda!?" Link shouts as he catches the princess before she hits the floor.
"What happened? What can you remember?" Link asks hoping he can get answer to what has happened to his friend. The hyrule princess weakly opens her eyes to look at her friend.
"Darkness" Zelda weakly says just before she closes her eyes.
Professor places a finger on the princesses neck to check her pulse. Everyone watches him do so all thinking the same thing, but only one asks the question.
"Is she dead?" The little Toon Link asks with tears in his eyes.
"No she's not she just very weak and needs some rest." answers the little hero.
"What happened?" Peach asks shaking at what she has just seen.
"It seems the dark energy has finally taken a different form." answers closing his eyes as he shakes his head.
"So the Zelda Mario was seen with..." Lungi couldn't even finish his own sentence it's too much for the green plumber. Peach looks to Luigi annoyed that he knows something she doesn't.
"Darkness? What has this got to do with my Mario? What aren't you telling me? I demand you tell me right now!" Peach asks the annoyance and anger clear in her tone, which makes Luigi frowns to the princess.
"This isn't the right time, Peach." Luigi says trying to calm the princess down.
"Isn't it? Look at Zelda, Luigi! I think this is the perfect time to explain. Don't you think if my Mario is in danger I should know?"
"He's NOT your Mario. And yes maybe it is the right time to explain, but there isn't enough time! Right now we need to find Mario and darkness that is disguised as Zelda, before something bad happens! We can sit down and explain things later but right now I want to just find my brother!" The princess doesn't know what to say, so instead she nods to the green plumber.
"Ok now that's sorted. Link take Zelda to the hospital section of the mansion. The rest of us will look for Mario." Luigi orders and to his surprise every single smasher does as he said. Let's just hope they find Mario in time.
