Warning-Slash! Yaoi! MarioXSonic

The silent between the hero and the princess was beginning to drive the plumber insane, why isn't she talking? Yes she's a princess but the female does love to have a chat with the plumber as his world fascinates her and at any moment she would always bring the subject up.

"So?" Mario begins hoping to get the princess to talk. He feels like the training room is so far away than usual.

"Yes?" The princess answers in a bit of a sour way. Has Mario somehow upset her? Was she just thinking?

"...OH! I have gained more information about how the Mushroom Kingdom came to be for you." Mario smiles to the princess knowing this subject would make the walk seem way shorter.

Plus Zelda did ask Mario about the Kingdoms history but at the time the plumber didn't know that much, only what they taught at schools and that wasn't enough for a full conversation. So to gain more Mario attended a very long lecture with Toadsworth which is something Mario knows not to do again.

"Why on earth would I care?" The princess huffs out and begins to walk faster. Mario just looks at Zelda who is a few feet away now.

A unsettling feeling over shadows the plumber something isn't right the thought of just leaving fills Mario's mind. But he doesn't, his heart won't let him if there is something wrong with Zelda then as a hero Mario shall stay by her side.

"I'm very sorry princess I didn't mean to upset you." The plumber begins to apologies while catching up to the now fast pacing princess.

"You never do, do you plumber." While in that short sentence Mario could have sworn he heard Zeldas voice become distort.

"Well no I don't I hate making people upset." Mario answers back to the princess.

"But yet you do. You never see how things affect others just yourself."

"I...I.." Becoming more and more confused by the princesses words the plumber begins to stutter.

"That's it plumber stutter! Because you don't deserve to speak." As she spoke her last word Zelda grabs Mario's arm.

"Let's hope the last words you said to your friends and family were nice ones." With that said Zelda makes a dark black portal appear on the wall. Before Mario could do anything he is dragged into the portal, and what is on the other side can only be described as a dark realm. But before Mario could get a better look he feels himself go dizzy and darkness fills his vision.

Now with every smasher in the mansion now looking for Mario, Luigi can finally wrap his head around the conversation Peach is trying to have with him.

"I thought I told you to help the others find my brother." The green plumber mutters to the princess. Luigi could tell he succeed in putting as much anger in his words as he could, as the female's face is turning from shocked to anger while she picks the words to say back to the plumber.

"Well I thought I told you that I'm not doing anything until you tell me where my Mario is."

"I told you he's not yours. My brother isn't some trophy to be had! He isn't something for you to show off to others. He's a human being START treating him like one."

"How dare you raise your voice at me. I'm a princess a royal! As for your brother he is a human being but if he were a trophy he'd have my name engraved on him. I'm going to go help Daisy in finding MY Mario."

"...You might have him if he was a trophy, but that doesn't mean you'd be worthy of him." The plumber whispers as the princess begins to exit the stair way, Luigi knows Peach heard him and he could never be happier with himself.

"Luigi?" The green plumber takes his eyes from the exiting princess to see who's calling for him. When he turns around he is greeted by green eyes staring at him, all Luigi can see when looking in the eyes is fear, and by that little fact alone, Luigi knows he has to be the leader of this situation, he has to hide his own fear so they can continue forward, he has to be strong for Sonic, for his own sanity and mostly for his brother.

"Let's see how Zelda is." Luigi places his hand on Sonic's shoulder as a form of comfort, the plumber knows it won't magically make everything better but it may help even if it's just a little bit, sometimes it's just nice to know that someones there to lean on.

Both the hedgehog and plumber walk to the hospital wing in the smash mansion. No words are exchanged while walking as both of them know there isn't anything to say that could make the walk less heart wrenching. To know what happened to Mario all falls down to what the princess of Hyrule remembers, and even then they may have nothing as the professor has said the darkness likes to mess with people's memories.

Upon entering the hospital wing four eyes land on Luigi and Sonic, the eyes belong to Link and Toon Link. By the look of Link's face the princess hasn't woken up yet. Luigi is the first to walk to the hospital bed and looks to the princess, who looks so peaceful. The plumber just hopes by some miracle her memories are still within her brain, even iF it's just a little bit, it's better then nothing which is what they have now.

I've had this chapter in my doc manager for 3 years now, I've come and gone to make sure it doesn't get deleted by FanFictions automatic delete system after 90 days, for the day I would like to return and finish it.

As I had spare time I've come back I've read some previous chapters I got to chapter 2 and I just couldn't continue at all...I hate this ship I've lost all interest in it.

Just would like to say a big sorry for anyone that wanted to see how this story ends but I shall not be continuing it.
