Chapter 1 (Rewritten)
Hey guys, Diamond here. I decided to do a full rewrite of my Destiny story since I have recently gotten back into playing Destiny, both 1 and 2. I also decided to do this since my will for writing new chapters for my other stories is low right now, but that doesn't mean I will abandon them. This will also get me to fix some things that just seem either lazy, too Marty Stu or just plain unrealistic, in my opinion, in this story. It will still have all the other characters, but I'm going to make sure they are more fleshed out and not just there as background characters for convenience or something like that. I want them to have a lasting impression and to matter in the story.
I may also do chapters that don't have our main protagonist in it. They are going to help flesh out characters if I do them, and may show what else is happening other than the main story. Such as what kinds of missions Fireteam Zulu-14 get into or something like that. If you don't know who Fireteam Zulu-14 are, don't worry I will have their introduction rewritten as well.
I will also update it to where it is current time in the story. On to the show!
? POV, October 2019
It was a normal day when I got home from work, the sun was shining, there was little to no traffic, and I get to play online with friends on any of my games that they own. When I got home I immediately went to relax and watch a movie or two, after a while I finally got done with them to move on to playing video games.
The first video game I chose was GTA V and played a little bit of online in that, I played some Casino missions and moved on to some other games. After a while of playing different games and the time almost reaching midnight I decided to play some Destiny and do some patrols in the Cosmodrome. I eventually ended at where the game began, the highway with all the rusted and broken cars, I always for some reason when I play Destiny come here to think about all that I met online and the journey I had with the game.
"What in the world?" I asked aloud as an in-game notification board popped up on-screen. Confused at first, I started to read.
Your time has come for you to begin a new journey Guardian. The notification said, confusing me since I never heard of this appearing before to anyone. I quickly searched You Tube and some forums for any mention of this and found none. When I looked back, the text changed. Will you take the first step? I noticed there was a button prompt asking to hold down the button for either yes or no. Quickly deciding to hit record on my Xbox, I held down the button for yes. If this is a new feature that Bungie released but didn't talk about, then I'm going to get the first footage of it.
It was after I hit accept did something happen. Good, every journey begins with that first step. After that the notification board disappeared and the game went back to normal. With nothing happening after that I decided to get off and get some rest for the weekend. It was when I was nearly asleep did I hear something. "May your journey provide you with meaningful experiences Guardian." I hear an angelic voice say as I drift off into a deep slumber.
So how did you guys like the first chapter rewrite? I know it's short but it is supposed to be a preview to what the rest of the story is like. Plus, in the next chapter is when I will tell you guys the gear I have and what my characters bio is. Btw my Ghost's name will still be Cole in the rewrite. I will also be putting lore from the actual game in the story so that it does stick with what is in the story. Btw I was a 21-year-old in this chapter, I will be 17 in the game since that is how old I was when I first played Destiny. And I won't have any of my guns that my character has since they would be in my Tower Vault, and not nearly as much in the first time I wrote this story. I will spawn with newbie Titan gear though since my stuff was overpowered last time.
Plus, motherfuckin ftp Destiny 2! But I will see y'all in the next chapter.
This is Diamond signing out.
