Hello there guys Diamond here. I will say the way that I'm currently rewriting these chapters is that I'm copy and pasting the chapters so that while I'm redoing it, I essentially have a rough draft to work on. It is by no means perfect, but it helps me stay on track. Here's current gear as well.

Helmet: Lightmail Helmet
Gauntlets: Lightmail Gauntlets
Chest Armor: Lightmail Plate
Leg Armor: Lightmail Greaves
Titan Mark: Mark of the Risen
Titan Artifact: None
Shader: The Old Guard

Well that is my armor that I'm wearing currently. The Raids will also be in the story, but will be a one-time thing, except Atheon. I will list all the weapons that will be in the vault at the Tower.

Primary: Fatebringer (Year 3), It's one of the few weapons that I have that don't need a quest for it.
Secondary: Black Spindle aka The Cold Between Stars (Year 3) It will be referred to as The Cold Between Stars in the story instead of the Black Spindle. They will be treated as somewhat different Snipers like the Stranger's Rifle and the No Time To Explain are two different but same rifles.
Heavy: None

And those are the weapons in the Tower Vault. I will be able to use Exotics in all three slots at the same time since it would be stupid to not do it otherwise. I will also be getting other weapons since they are unlockable. Plus, I do have the Gjallarhorn but I have the quest in mind for that, as well I will change the Sleeper Simulant's quest to something a bit more fitting to the story. Well I guess I can start the story. Btw I will not be getting the No Land Beyond since it belongs Devrim Kay in Destiny 2. And I am not making that up seriously, next time you guys go to Devrim look at his sniper rifle and you would see what I mean. I'm keeping that in because it's true.

Rekindling Light Arc Part 1

Zamon, House of Devils Fallen Captain POV

It was a good day to hunt, there are bound to be some kind of good salvage to bring back to the den. It was supposed to be a normal scavenging mission until I saw something small moving fast, I looked into the scope of my Wire Rifle and saw something that made me both surprised and angered at the same time: A Ghost. Usually you would see one with a Guardian, which confused me, unless… "Unless there is no Guardian." I said while having a wicked smile underneath my mask. "All of you Dregs get up, we have a prey to hunt!" I say excitedly. The Dregs initially had complaints but I didn't care, how could I when there is a Ghost going to an unborn Guardian. "And it will lead me right to it." I say quietly to myself.

? POV

I was feeling groggy and I was having trouble opening my eyes, I'm wondering why my bed is so hard. Suddenly, I hear a voice but I was too groggy to hear what they were saying. "Ugh, just five more minutes." I said sleepily. As I rolled over and tried to go back to sleep while the voice continued to speak. "…guardi…guardian…GUARDIAN!" the voice grew louder and louder until it was a full scream. "Huh, what, what's going on!" I yell as I was awakened from my grogginess, sitting up in the process.

I looked in front of me to find something that confused the hell out of me. "Oh, you're awake Guardian." Said the Ghost in front of me. "What?" I asked confused. "I said that you were…" "No not that, I heard you just fine but what did you call me?" I asked, cutting the Ghost off. "I called you Guardian, well I guess you can say that you're my Guardian now." The Ghost said.

"And you don't know how long I have been waiting to find you, but I fear the Fallen have seen me going here and will soon be upon us. We better find you a weapon quick." My Ghost said as he went toward my head. "Don't worry Guardian I am still with you." I hear him say inside my head. "Ok, let's get out of here then." I said, majorly confused at what the hell was going on.

I then started to run towards the big wall in front of me. Halfway through what seemed like a very old traffic jam, I could hear what sounded like howling not far behind me. I noticed a doorway in the wall and went through it to a long hallway. As I neared the end of the hallway I noticed a Dreg climbing up the wall.

I wonder how the hell did I get here? "I resurrected you." My Ghost said. "Hang on, did you just read my thoughts?" "Yes, I did. It's to better help Guardians communicate with their Ghost in situations where silence is needed." My Ghost explained, trying to dispel any uneasiness I may feel. "Now then let's see if I can bring light to this darkened room." Said my Ghost. The lights started to go on and that's when I saw the Fallen, all in mass on a bridge I needed to cross.

"Well fuck a duck." Is all I said before I saw all 30 of the Fallen on that bridge start heading my way. "That is a strange choice of words Guardian." My Ghost said as he was heading my way. "Well I said it because there was thirty Fallen on that bridge and I have NO GUNS!" I say exasperatedly. "Oh, I got you covered Guardian." My Ghost said as a gate opened right next to me.

I ran through the entrance and was met with an old gun leaning against a crate as if calling to me. It was the Khvostov 7G-02. "That'll do." I say appreciatively. "Strange, it was just lying there." My Ghost wandered. "It was fate my dear Ghost, it was fate." I said to my Ghost as we were heading down the hallways.

I headed down the corridor that I found the Khvostov at and gotten my first glimpse of what a Fallen Dreg looks like up close, and it was snarling at me. It was then that I aimed down my somewhat broken holographic sight at the Dreg and fired at its center mass. I never fired a gun before, so I was surprised when I felt barely and recoil and actually hit the Dreg with most of my shots. The Dreg was halfway down the hall when my hail of bullets hit it, causing it to recoil a bit and die in a few seconds due to me emptying a full clip into it.

I then noticed another problem; I had no ammo for another clip. "Guardian, get closer to that dead Dreg." I hear my Ghost tell me, to which I was in shock at what just happened and just did what he told me to. When I neared its corpse, my Ghost came out and scanned its' Shock Pistol. "Just as I expected, I can make you some more ammo from the ammo this Dreg had as well as recycling its' Shock Pistol for ammo as well." My Ghost explained, making me glad that I won't have to use the Khvostov as an impromptu bat.

We then continued on until I came across three more Dregs, in which I tried to be more selective with my shots to save ammo. I killed the three, but one got a good shot on me. Thankfully I seem to be getting the hang of my new weapon. I moved on to the next room.

The next room was sort of rinse and repeat but with way more Dregs and a few Vandals, I think ten Dregs and six Vandals. Ultimately lead to so far twenty dead Fallen, with ten more to go but nowhere in sight. I decided to go across the bridge that is connected to this room.

They appeared over the sides while I was on the middle of the bridge, six Dregs in front of me and four Vandals behind me. I then decided to do something about this. I unloaded into the mass of bodies that were the Dregs.

And turned towards the Vandals. One was going for a punch towards my gun to try and disarm me, I instead scooted back a bit causing the Vandal to miss. I then put my gun on my back and threw a sucker punch directly into its' face, which caused a crunching sound and the Vandal to step backwards, luckily right into another causing them to fall off right into the abyss below. Me and the two remaining Vandals then stared at each other for a bit before we rushed each other resulting in a melee. One that I won due to my body's' new strength.

"That fucking sucked!" I yelled out as I killed the last Fallen on the bridge. "It wasn't that bad." My Ghost said as I was starting to sit down. "Well you didn't have to fight through all of those Fallen to get across a seemingly endless abyss!" I yelled to my Ghost, pointing towards the inky blackness below us. I then sat down for a minute or two to rest and went towards a chest that was at the end of the bridge. "Ooh, a shotgun." I say with what you could hear is a grin in my voice.

"Alright, let's get out of here." I say as we leave the Wall after going through another room filled with Fallen. "If we can find a ship, I can use the ship's transmat system to bring you to the Tower." My Ghost said as I was going across the snowy area to the other building. "Good, I was starting to get bad vibes about this place." I say as we leave a very large drainage pipe. When I'm halfway to a building across from the drainage pipe I see a flare go off, which causes me to hide behind a very rusted old tank. It was then that I saw the sheer size of a Ketch as it flew over my head. "A Fallen Ketch! This close to the surface!" My Ghost exclaims in my head. I then book it towards the building I was previously headed towards and got a good view of what awaited me.

I saw a Fallen Skiff dropping off some Vandals with Wire Rifles and Dregs with Shrapnel Launchers. This surprised me since they were more equipped for this than in the game. I decided to use the semi-automatic feature on the Khvostov since it had a select fire switch on it, and use it to try and pick the Fallen off from a distance instead of going in gun-ho like.

I eventually cleared out the Fallen and looked to the sky to see that it is nighttime where it was nearing sundown when I entered the Wall. I then rushed into the large building that my Ghost said should have my ship in it. I did see my ship, but there was Fallen everywhere. "Well then." Was all I could say.

Zamon, House of Devils Fallen Captain POV

I was leading a group of Dregs and Vandals in dismantling a ship that a Guardian; that was newly awoken, might use. It was going well until I heard something.

"Well then." I heard someone say. I looked and saw what looked like a Guardian staring at me and the others. "Get that Guardian!" I yelled to the Dregs and Vandals, them being ready to kill what should be an easy target.

"We'll get it over with." Said the Captain next to me. He was the newest promoted Captain, I disagreed with him coming on my scrounging mission, but he wanted to prove himself to the Kell. "Alright then, prove yourself." I told the junior Captain. "Try to kill the Guardian."

Diamond POV

I saw two Captains instead of one here leading the Fallen in stripping the ship for parts, which shouldn't surprise me since I can tell this is pretty much going to be Hard mode throughout my time here. One of the Captains had jumped off the ship and ran toward me with its twin cutlasses, trying to cut me in half. I sidestepped to the right and it ran past me and face first into a pillar. I facepalmed and heard the collective facepalm of every other Fallen in the room.

I looked towards the other Fallen Captain and seen him staring at the knocked-out Captain with I believe disappointment. "I am going to guess that he's new." I said towards the Captain. What surprised me next is the Captain said something back in English. "Yes, yes he is." Said the Captain, still surprised that the other Captain knocked himself out by running into a pillar. "Well I wish you luck in dealing with him." I said to the Captain as he was dragging the knocked-out Captain out of the room.

"Thanks, I'm going to need it." Is all the Captain said as he left the room, with all the other Fallen doing the same, apparently having lost the will to fight after seeing that pitiful display. "Well, that was something." Was all I said since there was no more Fallen in the room. "Yes, well we need to get out of here." Was what my Ghost said before he popped up and went to scan the ship.

"Well, I have good news and bad news." My Ghost said. "What's the good news?" I asked. "Well, the ship works." My Ghost said. "And the bad?" I asked. "Yeah, about that transmat." Was all my Ghost said before I turned around and saw an Archon getting out of a hole in the wall.

"Getting you out of here now." My Ghost said as I was put into the ship. "We can come back later if you want, and kill that Archon." My Ghost said right next to me in the cockpit of the ship. "But first I need to get you to the Tower." My Ghost said as we started to fly off to, where I believe is, the Tower. "Good, it's been a long day." I say, while thinking on my apparent new future.

Okay guys, so you can already tell there is new changes to this chapter. Firstly, is that I'm being a bit more descriptive and not making my character a badass immediately. I also am trying to make it to where things that I missed out on, such as the Ketch, actually make it into the chapter instead of not even being acknowledged. I believe I did better with this chapter than previously.

I also kept what I call the "Clumsy Captain Bit" in there since it was funny, but I also explained what happened with the other Fallen in the room since I never explained that bit.

I decided that I will include Destiny 2, but in a sequel kind of thing. Not sure if I'll do it though, but I will include things from Destiny 2 in this as well since it doesn't exactly make sense if there are Legendary weapons in D2 that would appear in D1.

I hope y'all enjoyed the rewrite of the chapter. I'm thinking about making a story thing containing chapters that I've rewritten for whatever chapters I rewrite. Do tell me if I should or if y'all would be interested in that. I will also be doing things in arcs, instead of saying pre-Dark Below or something like that.

Also, I fixed a mistake I made.

Anyway, Diamond out.
