Say You Love Me
Chapter 6
It's been two fucking weeks since I had heard from Jax. One text, no phone calls, nothing. I mean I understood he had business going on with the club, I get that, but still. These past few weeks hadn't been all that bad though. Stephanie had made tons of new friends at her school and was staying at one of their houses this weekend. Mom was headed out of state for to training certification crap so I'd be all by myself this weekend, which barely ever happened. Sighing, I put the last of the paint away in the garage. I had managed to finish decorating everything in the house besides the basement. I saved the kitchen for last because I knew that it would be one of my favorites to do. I have splatters of mint green paint all over me but it was so worth it. The house was now beautiful but it still felt so empty, I hated that feeling. I ran upstairs to take a shower and figured I'd walk down to the ice cream shop to give me something to do. Maybe Jackson will be hanging out down there. I ran over to my closet and tried to figure out what to wear. I decided to on some white skinny jeans, my white tank top, and my light denim jacket. I dug into the back of my closet on the floor and found my cork wedges that made my ass pop out even more. I kept my hair up in a bun because I just liked it like that and it took too long to fuss with when it was down. That will have to do. I remembered that Jax like the smell of cocoa butter so I threw some of that on, put on my clothes and started walking down to the ice cream shop. I slowed down as I turned on the street and noticed that there were bikes parked out front. Smirking, as I got even closer to the parlor, I realized that Jax's bike was there too. I opened the door and headed into the shop. It looked like half of the Sons were here eating ice cream, Jax included. I felt him staring at me as I completely ignored him. The hair on the back of my neck stood up as I went to talk to Chucky.
"Hey Chucky!"
"Hello, Gorgeous! You want the usual?"
"Yes please," I told Chucky. I still felt Jax staring at me, I turned around a little to look at him and he was smirking at me. Fuck off Teller, I thought as I took my jacket off and leaned forward a little showing off my cleavage and set my jacket down next to me. I saw Jackson's eyes darken as Chucky called my name.
"Here you go, Shay!"
"Thanks Chucky, keep the change." I told him as I slipped him a ten-dollar bill.
"But Jax said that…." I cut him off and leaned toward him.
"I don't really care what Jax said Chuck. See ya later," I told him with a kiss on the cheek. I grabbed my jacket and was headed towards the door when Jax called out to me.
"Shay, wait up," he said. I heard the group of guys he was with make whistling noises. I walked out of the parlor and stood by the windows.
"May I help you, Jackson?" I asked him as I started eating my ice cream cone.
"Shit…look I'm really sorry I kind of left you hanging there. Shit with the club kind of hit the fan, I got sent on two different runs and I barely had any time to do anything with Clay busting my ass."
I looked up at him, and got lost in his eyes.
"Mm hm, and what happens on a run stays on a run right Jax?" I asked him as I turned to through my trash away. Jackson grabbed my wrist and pulled my body into his. My breath hitched.
"Yes, Bear. What happens on a run does stay on a run but nothing happened because my mind was and still is all clouded with your fine self Darlin'" he told me as he palmed my ass and went in for a kiss. I gave in, and wrapped my arms around his neck. Just when he thought he had me, I pulled his hair hard enough to pull his head back.
"Don't do that shit to me again Jackson," I let go of his head and turned my face away from him. Jax grabbed my chin in his hand and whipped my head so that he could look at me.
"You got it Babe," and he slammed his lips against mine and ran his tongue against my bottom lip asking for permission. I opened my mouth and moaned. I had missed his mouth, his smell. I just missed Jax all together. A tingling feeling started as I got really hot, then I remembered all of a sudden that we were right outside of the ice cream parlor in the middle of the sidewalk. I pulled away, embarrassed as I heard the guys hooting and hollering for Jax. Jackson kissed the side of my neck.
"I missed you Shay…Did you get all cute for me?"
"Wouldn't you like to know?"
"Yeah, that what I thought. You missed me too," he said smirking at me.
Before I could respond, I heard the door open and someone cleared their throat. I looked towards the door to see an older looking lady with a 'kick ass, don't fuck with me' look and a scar on her chest that went all the way down into her shirt.
"Excuse me, Jackson. Who's the tart?" she asked.
"Christ Mom, she isn't a tart and her name is Shay. This is the girl I was talking to you about. She's a friend of the clubs," he explained to her.
THIS IS GEMMA! This is Jackson's mom…and he had been talking to her about me. I pulled away from Jax and went to shake Gemma's hand.
"Hi, Gemma. I'm Shay, Shay Parker. We just moved to town a few weeks ago."
She shook my hand and had a look on her face that looked like she was trying to decide if she could trust me or not. She must know moms the sheriff.
"You are Brenda Parker's daughter right?"
"Yes Ma'am"
"Hmmm, Jackson you should bring her over for Sunday Dinner."
"Really? I wouldn't want to impose or anything."
"I expect you at my house on Sunday, Shay. Jax, bring her. I'm gonna head home now. You two have fun," Gemma said as she got into her truck.
Oh My God…I'm having dinner with Jax's parents!
"Guess you're coming with me to Mom's on Sunday. You didn't have any other plans did you?"
"No, Mom is out of state for training and Steph is spending the entire weekend at a friends house. It's just me this weekend."
"You wanna spend the weekend with me at my house? Make up for these past few weeks?"
I stood there in complete shock.
"You sure Jax?" I asked him.
"Darlin' I wouldn't be asking you if I didn't want you there. Come on, lets go get your stuff," He said as he took my hand and led me over to his bike and handed me his helmet. I took my hair out of its bun and shook it, then put the helmet on. Jackson hoped on his bike and waited for me to get on. He seemed surprised with the fact that I knew exactly how to sit behind him. As I wrapped my arms around him and leaded forward I started to give him directions to my house.
"It's a small town Darlin' I know where you live," he chuckled as we headed off to my house.
The ride was short as I hopped of Jax's bike and invited Jax inside. We went in through the garage and he followed me to my room.
"Holy shit Bear. You did this whole house?! It looks really nice in here!"
"Thanks Jax, only room I haven't gotten to was the basement. That's only because that's beyond what I can do." I said as I pulled out a suitcase from underneath my bed and opened it. Jackson sat on my bed and leaded up against the headboard.
"I could help you with that you know? Plus, I think that would put me in good graces with your mom"
"Speaking of moms…yours seemed kind of bitchy at first, but she's funny. I like her. I can't wait for dinner on Sunday," I told him throwing clothes from my closet into the open suitcase on the bed.
"Yeah, she's kind of bitchy alright. I'm just glad she likes you. Gemma doesn't like anyone Shay," he told me as he watched me move around my room.
"Well, I'm kind of glad she never liked anyone. She was keeping the hoes away, waiting for me to come around," I told him laughing as I grabbed underwear and socks from my top drawer and threw them into the side pocket. Jacksons eye's got a shade darker. I looked at him and winked.
"It's not okay to tease, Shay"
"Mm hm, you'll be fine Jax"
"Not with those clothes you're packing I wont be. Oh there's a party at the clubhouse tomorrow night? You wanna go with me?"
"Really?! I'd love too Jax! Thank you," I said as I kiss him. I went back to the closet and picked out an outfit and matching shoes real quick. I hid those in the bottom of my bag. I ran to the bathroom to grab all my soap and lotions too. Jax was now up and walking around my room looking at pictures and stuff as I zipped my bag.
"I'll follow you to your house Jax"
"Kay Darlin', let's go"
Jax took my bag and headed downstairs and outside as I locked the house back up. He opened my door for me and closed it as I hopped in.
"You ready," Jax asked.
"After you," I smiled at him.
Jackson hopped on his bike and I followed him. I had a feeling that it was going to be an eye-opening weekend and also one of the best weekend's I've ever had in my entire life.
NOTE
I think I'm going to have Clay have some issues with Jax and Shay. Clay seems like the type of dude that would take an issue with these two anyway.
