A/N: Thanks to Scruffybear27 for reviewing the last chapter!
I suppose I should mention at this point that after the release of 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire' last week, there are inconsistencies between the '75 Games' universe and that of the Hunger Games films. However, we're still in canon with the books, which is my main aim.
I hope you enjoy today's chapter. It's been a while since I wrote one of these :)

Of the seventy-five victors that the Hunger Games has amassed over the years, it's understandable that a few prefer to live a life away from the spotlight, such is the case with Yvonne Grady, District 5's latest victor. Ever the opportunist in the Games, she won by lying in wait at the feast on the final day of the Games and picking off the injured Careers as they fell to claim most impressive side of her victory came in the fact that she was able to survive on her own in one of the most inhospitable arenas since the last Quarter Quell - mile after mile of frozen forests and tundra.
However she never had popular support during the Games; she preferred lying low and keeping herself to herself, after all, a dominating Career Pack and the deranged Titus from District 6 had little difficulty stealing the spotlight. Few would deny that Yvonne's impressive victory was a great shock, one that has few parallels in Hunger Games history.
Since the Games Yvonne has returned to District 5, only making the trip to the Capitol every summer for the Hunger Games where mentors District 5's female tribute every year. However, she is yet to reproduce her success, for a variety of unfortunate factors.
As a player in the Games again, nobody is expecting Yvonne to become the winner of the 75th Annual Hunger Games, and nobody is expecting her to be a surprise member of the Career Alliance. But she's a survivor, and you can bet that she's find a way to get by whatever Plutarch Heavensbee and his team throw at this year's tributes. And her ruthless, opportunistic streak that she first showed nearly two decades ago in the arena show that if Yvonne gets a chance, she'll take it. Her training score might not reflect it, but you can bet that she's as lethal as anyone else in the arena this year.
If Yvonne Grady is going down in the Third Quarter Quell, she won't be going down without a fight.
