A/N: OK, apologies if this chapter is a little short. Of all the victors introduced in Catching Fire, Blight had the least information given about him, and so this chapter has been based mainly from the information I've included in my two chapters featuring Blight in 75 Games, 75 Victors, 75 Oneshots, along with the minimal information Suzanne Collins provided in Catching Fire.
Despite this, hopefully you all still enjoy this rather short chapter :)

Since winning the Hunger Games, many of Panem's victors have spent their time filling up the headlines of our newspapers. Who hasn't heard of Finnick's sordid love affairs, of the tragedy of Haymitch's fall into alcoholism, of Timothy Harper's untimely suicide? Certainly not anyone gathered here tonight for the interviews.
But not everyone can grab the headlines. Some victors just seem to shrug it all off and get on with life seemingly without a care for any of the attention.
Such is Blight, a simple woodsman's son from District 7, who after winning the Games almost thirty years ago has become a constant in our lives every summer almost without us realising it. A simple man who, while able to have a little fun, is always able to get down to business when the time calls for it. Having been a mentor in the Games every single year since his victory, we've grown used to hearing from him every summer, praising his tributes in the hope that, for once, it will be District 7's year.
His sole triumph in the Hunger Games has a mentor has been the memorable 67th Games, when his now-district partner Johanna Mason emerged victorious. Even then, Blight remained modest and humble, giving credit to his tribute's skill and not his constant determination and never-give-up attitude that we should see from more mentors than we actually do.
Away from the arena, Blight lives a quiet life away from the attention of the media in District 7 in the company of his prodigy Johanna. Blight spends a lot of time practicing his talent of cooking, often helping the people of his district by providing the most needy with meals and refreshments to help them through the cold winters. Despite his obvious virtues, Blight has never managed to find love, either by choice or through misfortune, but he seems none the worse for it.
In the Capitol, Blight is often seen in the company of several victors around his age, most notably Marcel Fielding of District 9, a fellow tribute in this year's Hunger Games. Now with Blight back into the arena once again, it will be expected that he will protect his friends first. Will a possible alliance with Marcel and Johanna lead to success in the arena?
Regardless of who he ends up being supported by, Blight is definite to have one thing on his side; a clear head. Maybe, depending on how the arena ends up planning out tomorrow morning, that advantage might just make all the difference for him in the Games.
