~~~Hello TZP here. Sorry for making the first chapter really short. I had planned to make it a lot longer but I decided not to for other people's sake.~~~
"UGH I HATE THIS!" James screamed as he slammed his door.
"I HA-" a sudden knock came from his door.
"Go away!" James exclaimed.
"Um...James are you okay? Dad said to check up on you just in case if you did anything bad." He realized who it was. It was his little sister, Zelda.
"I'm okay Zel" James open the door to see his 7-year-old sister looking down.
"Look sorry if I sounded mad, It's just got into an argument with dad," James said as he patted her head.
"Hey, I told you not to do that!" Zel said as she giggled.
"Is there anything else you need to tell me?" James asked.
"Yes...race you down to the Dining Area!" Zel said as she darted down the hallway.
"Hey, no fair!" James shouted as he started towards her.
Zel pointed her tongue at James, taunting him.
"Oh, you'll regret that!" James shouted as he gained speed.
Once James entered the Dining Area, he noticed that it was a lot more quiet than usual. He got seated and as he did his father said, "Jameson, after dinner you are to go to bed immediately. I don't want you to sneak out, especially after what happened last time."
"But da-" Link interrupted him.
"No buts, James. I'll have twice as many guards patrolling so don't try anything.
"Jameson, he is doing this to keep you safe" his mom added. "So please listen to your father." James didn't know why, but somehow he always knew not to argue with her.
Once they finished up, James walked back to his room. His younger brother, Danny, walked up to him and whispered to him, "So are you going to sneak out or what?"
"Will you tell dad?" James asked with a mischievous grin.
"Not if you get me something.." Danny answered back.
"Fine, what do you need?" James asked.
"Oh just bring me back some milk from the milk bar, okay?" Danny said.
"Okay but promise me you won't tell anyone," James replied.
"Not unless you get caught," Danny said
"Oh trust me, I won't," James said as he went to his room.
Hours later, James was sitting in his room waiting to leave. Once his clock struck 12, he began to go through his balcony. The view for he got was a lot better than the one his siblings had. Here he usually would come here to think and catch fresh air when he needed it. But today this would be his way out of the castle. Once he got low enough, he spotted guards patrolling the garden. Not that big of a deal, he thought to himself. He was caught off guard when a voice from below shouted, "Hey!"
Crap.. he thought. "What are you doing up there prince?!" a guard shouted.
"Be quiet man!" he said in a hushed tone. He got down from his balcony. As he did the guard asked, "What are you doing your majesty? Aren't you supposed to stay in your room? We were given orders by the king to patrol your area and to alert the captain that-"
"Enough!" James said in a hushed tone. "Take these rupees and pretend this never happened," James said as he pulled out his wallet.
"Your Highness! How could you do such a thing?! You are bad" the guard said as he started to chuckle.
"Are you going to take the rupees or not?" James asked.
"No, your majesty of course not! It will be our little secret" he said as a small grin started to form on his face.
"Thanks" James managed to say before he darted toward the main gate.
Once he slipped by the gate he made it into Castle Town. From there he snuck past more guards until he made it to Telma's Bar. As usual, a table of guards was in the back and Telma was at the bar stand. He sat on one of the stools and Telma greeted him.
"Hi, darling! What will it be today?" Telma asked.
"Oh, the usual Auntie." James didn't know for sure but his father and Telma were really close acquaintances so his siblings always called her Aunt Telma or something along those lines. "Actually get one to go too. My brother asked for some. So how much will it be?" James asked.
"Oh don't worry darling, it's on the house," Telma said.
"Thanks," James replied.
A guard with a familiar face walked in.
"Oh hello, Levi. How is your day?" Telma asked.
"Man it was the craziest thing! I saw the prince-" Levi was cut off when he realized that the prince was sitting on a stool.
"Y-Your Majesty! What are you doing here?" Levi asked.
"Oh so that's your name," James said.
"What are you doing at the Milk Bar? I thought you went to do something else." Levi said.
"No, I came here to grab some milk for my younger brother," James replied.
"You should probably head back darling. It's getting pretty late." Telma said.
James got out of his seat and as he walked outside, he bumped into a girl his age.
As he got out through the front door, he bumped into a girl about his age.
"Pardon me," James said. The girl stopped and said, "Aren't you the prince?" the girl asked. She had dirty blonde hair and greenish eyes. She was by far, one of the prettiest girls he has ever met. Before he could say anything he remembered that he needed to keep hidden so the public didn't know he was out and about. He darted back to the castle. What he was meet with was not what he was expecting. His mother and father at the entrance of the gate.
"JAMESON NOHANSEN HYRULE, JUST WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING OUT?!" His mother screamed. "Get back to the castle now!" she shouted. Great… just great...
