Disclaimer: I own nothing of the Loud House or other franchises you might recognize.

The 11 Loud kids stood waiting in the living room, in order of birth. Leni had just talked to their father, and Lori was opening the door. First walked in their parents, then slowly walked in a girl. A girl with a torn orange shirt and ripped jeans, not in the fashionable way. A girl with snowy-white hair which looked like it hadn't been washed in weeks, and probably hadn't. A girl with a limp, though it was nearly unnoticeable as she walked rather slowly. Very slowly. She was very apprehensive of her surroundings. She was a bird, what with her sharp quick movements and timid nature.

The only thing the Loud house living room knew at that moment was silence.

"Well, I guess we better begin introductions, then. I'm Lori, I'm literally the oldest sister. If you need anything, I'll probably be in my room texting my Bobby BooBoo Bear."

"OMG, you're like, soooo cute! I'm Leni. You like, totes need new clothes. I'm like, totes gonna take you to the mall tomorrow!"

Linka just stared at the ground. It was hard to tell what was going through the young girl's head.

"Hey dude, what's rockin'? I'm Luna. What type of music do you like bro?"

"Beatles, I guess." Linka was still looking at the ground. This was the first that any of the children had heard her speak. Even when she was being picked up by the parents she had barely spoken.

"That's a start, I guess, but don't worry. We'll get you some fresh jams."

"Yeah, don't look so sad. You'll be singing a new tune in no time! Get it? I'm Luan. Gee, with Linka and Lincoln, it looks like now we'll have one and a half cents! Get it?"

Though it was very slight, Luna, Luan, and Lynn, standing closest to her, could see a faint trace of a smile on her face, even as the rest of the house was moaning and groaning.

"Hey, I'm Lynn jr. What sports do you play?"

Linka just shook her head. She was still staring at the ground.

"Well, that's ok. We'll find you something"

She moved down the row, standing now in front of her Lincoln.

"Hey Linka. I guess I'm your twin. You can put your things in my – our room after dinner."

Linka looked up.

"Alright." Though Linka had expected her first conversation with her twin brother to be a bit more... anything than that, she was still happy with it.

For the rest of the introductions, she was much more friendly. That is, she answered their questions with more than just single words as she was introduced to Lucy, Lana, Lola, and Lisa. She was nervous about meeting Lily, but found the baby to be quite agreeable. She hoped. The baby had an odd habit of yelling "Poo-Poo." She had no idea what Lily meant by it.

Despite all of that, she was still very shy, though. Through dinner, she ate in silence, merely observing the customs of the Loud house. She smiled, to most people's surprise, whenever Luan cracked a joke ("It was course humor, after all"), acted morose when Lucy read her poem ("The soul feasts upon only misery, Dines on a table made of hickory"), was bored by Lisa's latest scientific discovery ("I have discovered a way to synthesize the hemoglobin content of the blood to look for signs of barometric pressure") and was enthralled by Lynn's thrilling tale of her earlier baseball game (It was the bottom of the 9th, bases loaded"), but when the sisters tried to engage her in the conversation, she answered tersely and focused on eating.

After dinner, she went back to her suitcase. She found it by the door in the same place she left it. Dragging it behind her, she walked up to the staircase. There, she found a challenge ahead of her. No matter how hard she tried, she knew that she would never be able to lug the massive suitcase up all of those stairs.

"Do you need any help bro?"

Linka jumped.

"Oh, sorry. We didn't mean to stair you. Get it?"

Luna groaned at her roommate's pun, but Linka smiled.

It's going to be nice finally having someone around here who appreciates good comedy. Luan was excited.

"Thanks, if you could help please."

The three girls together brought the suitcase up the stairs. Linka thanked them, and as the two performers went off into their room gossiping, Linka dragged her suitcase behind her as she entered hers.

She gasped and flinched. It wasn't hers, though! Surely not! This room had a coffin as the centerpiece!

"What's wrong?"

Linka jumped again. As she turned around, she was faced with two little girls. She remembered from their introductions that they were twins, and one was an engineer, the other a princess. She had forgotten their names, though.

"Oh, sorry."

"It's fine. But could you tell me where my room is?"

"Oh yeah. It's down the hall."

"Here, we'll take you"

Linka was led down the hall by the younger twins. She thanked them for their help and entered her room.

It was obviously an extension to another room, as the flooring didn't match, and in an otherwise symmetrical house, this one area was jutting out. She remembered a bathroom on the bottom floor where this room was on the top floor. In this room, there were two beds. She found Leni in her room making her bed and fixing her sheets, while her twin brother was sitting on his bed reading comic books.

"Don't forget, Linky! Tomorrow we're going to the mall to get you new clothes."

"What?" Lincoln put down the comic, outraged.

"No, not you, Linky. I meant Linky." The fashionista was pointing at Linka as she spoke. "No offense, but your outfit is like, totes disgusting"

"No, I agree. I do need new clothes." Though she wasn't a big fan of clothes shopping, she could see the reason for it.

Leni squealed. "OMG. Maybe we can like, have all of us go. Like, the whole Loud house. That'd be like, soooo much fun!"

Leni's excitement was starting to freak Linka out. Luckily, the older girl had finished fixing Linka's sheets, and skipped out of the room. Linka sat on her bed and started unpacking.

"So. Do you like comic books?"

Linka shook her head.

"Superheroes?"

Linka shook her head.

"Action movies?"

Linka shook her head.

"Video games?"

Lincoln was pleasantly surprised to find his twin nodding. He pulled out his VR system, the one that Lori had gotten him after she had broken a different one.

"Here, try this."

The twins chatted and played video games. Though they conversed, Linka made sure that nothing of her past was brought up. They talked about Lincoln's past, his time in the Loud house, his friends, Royal Woods, and the like, until 9:00, when Mr. Loud came in and told them to go to sleep. As Lincoln drew the ochre curtain which separated their two halves of the room, Linka took off her left leg, with its bright orange socket and bright white knee, and bright blue shin, and stood it next to her new bed. Exhausted from both worry and relief, Linka collapsed on her bed and fell asleep immediately. Linka slept soundly through the whole night, until around half-past two in the morning. At half-past two, Lincoln was awakened to the sound of his twin crying.

To those who didn't understand Luan's one and a half cents pun or the title of the story, Lincoln is slang for a penny, the one cent coin in US, because it has a picture of Abraham Lincoln on the head side of the coin. Lincoln is Lincoln, and Linka when said out loud is half of the sound of the word Lincoln. Thus, they are 1 and a half cents.

Also, an apology for the writing style. The first chapter was written in one go, and edited later. My writing style depends on my mood and the time of day, and this chapter was written through out the day, whenever I felt like it. The writing style on this is all over the place, and I apologize for that. Hopefully it isn't too noticeable.

Another apology for the cliffhanger, but they're easier to end on as a writer.

Finally, an apology for the bad poetry exhibited by Lucy. She will not feature greatly in this story, mostly because I cannot come up with any more verse that isn't comically bad.
