Official Maybe it's best? Ch 5
It's been a while since I have updated any of my stories. So I am determined to try hard and all. So please be patient with me. You still remember how I work my stories? Flashbacks and flashbacks with flashbacks and everything in between.
Within each chapter I will be putting one or two depending on what's happening, things that happened with Hinata and Sasuke kind of like connect the dots that will lead to everything and answer a few things you may have had while you read Maybe its Love. Anyway ill stop talking.
"Don't you have other things to do? You heard Sasuke; he doesn't need your protection"
"I've always wanted to go to Suna, and get a souvenir" Kidomaru said with an evil grin on his face.
The sound gang looked at each other "Suna it is" Sakon said. "I'll make sure Sasuke gets to Orochimaru" Kabuto told them she he pushed his glasses up with his index finger "-just make sure your presence in Suna is loud and clear" the silver haired Kabuto told them.
Sasuke didn't say anything; the fived bowed to him however "We are looking forward to a proper introduction Lord Sasuke" both Ukon and Sakon said to him.
Sasuke said nothing, he didn't care who they were, and to him they were just pest. Pest who he knew would protect that snake man, the day he had to get rid of him. Keiji gave a warning growl to them; and with that, the five began their way to Suna.
"So he will be leading us?" Tayuya asked when they were farther away. She couldn't help smirk, Sasuke is kind of cute.
"With the power of Lord Orochimaru and Sasuke, Konoha will have a whole lot of sound"

Gaara was now making his way back from the Hokage' office…
"As allied nations Konoha could use Suna' strength to bring Uchiha and Orochimaru" he was going to make sure the Uchiha paid for what he has done. He was a danger to the five great nations and the people. He joined a wanted man and betraying his village. He hurt the Hyuuga family; he hurt Hinata and his comrades.
He had led his strength to the village he was staying in now, he saw kids playing around the village, and they are the next generation of this village. He was going to make sure they see the sun for many years to come.
For Gaara to see so many smiling faces slightly bow their head with respect to him (and him bowing thankfully to them) made him want to protect Konoha even more.
So the breakfast thing was out of the question. Hanabi was still at Moegi' house and it seemed that his uncle had gone to see Lord Hokage. He wasn't sure he was with Gaara. He looked at Hinata "It's okay"
Neji felt bad "It can be just us-" that sounded good, but she knew he hadn't had a chance to see Tenten.
"I know y-you want to see Tenten, go" she smiled.
"We can do breakfast with her and I'll get to see my two favorite girls" he told her. Hinata smiled at that
"Okay" she was sold.
"I'll call her" he told her pulling out his phone.
Kuro whined and walked towards the door, she knew they wanted to go out, she walked towards the door and opened it only to see "Oh Gaara" a smile appeared on her porcelain face. The dogs walked past him and joined Shukaku out in the front yard.
Gaara slightly bowed his head to Neji a way for him to say 'good morning' without actually saying anything he nodded and smiled at the perdon who was un the other side of the phone "Ok I'll see you in a bit, love you too" Neji hung up "Gaara, would you like to join us for breakfast?"
Hinata stepped aside to let him enter "I don't want to intrude-"
Neji looked at him "You're a guest at our house, you're not intruding" he told him "plus I'm sure you haven't had breakfast today" he was right about not having breakfast, he still wasn't sure.
"Please" he heard Hinata, he looked at her and she smiled "I'd be glad to join you, thank you" he finally said to both of them. Hinata couldn't help but blush; she had a feeling that Gaara had said yes to her. "We have time, knowing Ten she'll take a few to get ready"

Tenten picked up Kenta and spun him around with joy, something Kenta found very un-joyful "I'm finally going to see him, Kenta" she put Kenta on the bed; who decided to run to a safe place, the window and meowed "I've missed him" she said.
She walked to the closet and opened both doors "Question is what to wear. Knowing Neji he'll take Hinata and Gaara" she smiled "Meow"
"Of course I don't mind-" she didn't, plus she is happy to see that Hinata was slowly being herself again.
Now on to Gaara; she smiled "I kind of want to see Hinata and Gaara be an item-" she walked towards Kenta and looked at his golden eyes "Is that creepy or weird?" Kenta licked her nose and purred. Tenten closed her eyes and smiled "I just want her to be happy"
"Meow" Kenta meowed again. "You're right, I need to get ready." Tenten made her way to the closet again and took out a pair of pink skinny jeans, and a floral jumper white sweater, she headed down and but on her pink sneakers. Today felt like a pink day for her, she headed downstairs.
Neji had on a pair of dark blue jeans on and a grey shirt, he had on his black high top Jordan's and he topped it off whit a black sweater. He took out his phone and texted her telling her he will be there in about 10, he just needed to wait on Hinata and Gaara.
Tenten put the cup of water down and opened the message Neji had sent her. Be there in 10 babe, Hina and Gaara are still getting ready. She smiled and quickly texted back. Babe I really need to talk to you
Neji looked at the message and headed to Gaara' room. He knocked and when the door opened, he asked Gaara "Do you mind taking Hina and meeting at the restaurant. Ten needs to talk to me"
Gaara was now in the room he was staying in, Shukaku laid on his bed and gave a grunt. Gaara put on his shirt on.
He felt like he needed to change into something else, something less Kazekage-ish; he changed into his black jeans and a red shirt; a black sweater and black and red high top Jordan's. Nothing too fancy, yet he looked good.
He heard a knock at the door and went to open it to see Neji. He nodded his head and he did the same "Do you mind taking Hina and meeting at the restaurant. Ten needs to talk to me" he nodded "Sure, no problem." Neji nodded "Thank you" with that he headed downstairs.
Hinata looked herself in the mirror and took a small breath, she had on a pair of black skinny jeans, a red tang-top and a cream long sleeve, around the shoulder oversized (for her size) sweater. It was a bit long and a bit baggy but it still hugged her waist and bottom.
She then put her red slip on shoes and headed looked at the clock, it was only 11; it wasn't that late, she headed on to the door only to see Gaara about to knock "Oh" she said surprisingly.
She bit her lip "Neji said we meet at the restaurant-" she nodded "Okay" Gaara let her walk out, as well as the dogs that were now behind her. "Thank you" they made their way down the stairs, Gaara opened the front door and let her out. Hinata looked at the Lamborghini; it was a really nice car.
Gaara opened the passenger door and let her get in. he made his way to the driver's seat and opened the door. Once he was in he started the car, and made his way to the restaurant.
He headed to his pearl colored 2011 Jaguar KJL on my way babe he texted her and turned on his car and drive to her place.
He didn't take long to be at her place, he however was wondering what she needed to talk to him about. Was she alright? He parked on the street in front of her house. Outside was what he texted Tenten after he turned off his car.
She had gotten a message from Neji saying he was here, she opened the door and smiled "What's wrong?" asked Neji, he was confused since "-your smiling?" he told her.
"Please don't get mad" he rose an eyebrow "This can't be good" he knew that every time she started with 'Please don't get mad' she either did something she's not supposed to or she already did it.
She let him inside and took him to the couch to sit "Kenta and me agree that Hinata can be perfectly happy with Gaara"
"So you and your cat-" she covered his mouth with her hands and pouted "Don't say it like that, you're making sound crazy" he moved her hands gently and said "Ten-" he knew she meant well on trying to help Hinata and the whole Sasuke breakup but…
"Look Gaara is cute-" wait what? Had he just heard right "Excuse me?" Neji interrupted her, Tenten bit her lip "For Hinata. Gaara is cute FOR Hinata, babe let me finish" she laughed as his jealous instincts.
"I've seen her blush with Gaara-" not that he didn't want Hinata with Gaara but "Hinata tends to blush with everyone" he sighed and as he still held on to her hands "I know you mean well and all-" he looked at his watch "Can we talk about this after breakfast-" he kissed her hands and said "I'm kind of hungry"
"Yes" she stood up and pulled on him to get up, making their way to the door she stopped and asked "So does this mean Hinata went with Gaara-"
"Yes-" he sighed "You're already planning something aren't you?" he told her. She only smiled and opened the door. Neji only shook his head at his girlfriend.
She opened the door to the car and Neji closed it, once he went to the driver side he opened the door and got in as he closed the door he heard Tenten say his name "Neji?" he turned to her and turned the car on You and I both know Hinata is still in pain, I think Gaara can heal those wounds little by little."
He didn't say anything and drove to the restaurant where he knew Gaara and Hinata would be waiting. Tenten knew Neji wasn't mad; she had gotten him to think. She knew Neji and Sasuke weren't friends but they didn't dislike each other.
Neji didn't dislike him either. So Neji felt betrayed by Sasuke. Neji didn't know it but he had shown Sasuke a side that most rookies don't see now-a-days or ever. Something like going on a date with him. That was about a week after Neji had helped Sasuke cover the park in confetti for their one month anniversary

Hinata sat on the couch, a bit worried "What does Hyuuga want again?" Sasuke asked Hinata she shrugged her shoulders "I d-don't know either, he just said he needed to talk to you" Hinata felt Sasuke hand on hers "I won't fight with him again, I swear" he told her.
She felt a bit less worried hearing that. They heard footsteps and both turned to see Neji. Sasuke stood up as well as "Sasuke" had he heard right? Did the Hyuuga just call him by his first name? "Hyuuga"
"Neji is everything okay?" Hinata asked. Neji nodded "Sasuke and I are just going on a date"
Hinata face pretty much turned pale. Sasuke looked at her "Hinata? You okay?" she let the breath she was holding on out, "Yes" Sasuke looked back at Neji "What the hell!" was what she heard Sasuke yell
"A d-d-date?" Hinata asked "Yes" Neji told her. "Forget it. I am not going with you on any date-" on man this has to be some kind of nightmare right? "That's too bad, since I already made the reservation at Ichiraku"
Clearly that was a joke since you don't need a reservations there "So what car are we taking? Or you want to walk there?" Hinata looked at Neji, was he serious? He was serious.
Hinata smiled, Neji was really trying to know Sasuke, in a weird yet sweet way she guesses. And she guessed Tenten had something to do with this.
…
"Neji-" Tenten said destroying the silence in the car "Hm?" Neji answered her "Do you feel betrayed by Sasuke because-"
She saw him grip on to the steering wheel tighter "I fucken went on a date with the guy, what do you fucken think? I don't know why you're asking these questions when you know the answer already" she should have not asked that question.
She didn't say anything else, just hold in her emotions. Neji parked, he hadn't even turned off the car when Tenten unlocked the door and opened to get off. "Ten wait" she closed the door and walked in without him.
He punched the side of side of the seat, "Damn it" he told himself. He shouldn't have yelled at her. Yes, yes he did, still does. He got out and headed towards the restaurant.
"Sorry-" Ten told them "I had to talk to Neji and now we're late because of that"
"Don't worry, we just g-got here ourselves" Hinata told her.
"Table for four please" Tenten told the hostess "Right this way" the blonde haired girl told them. As she was leading them Neji grabbed onto Tenten arm "Ten-" she pulled away "Not now" she told him.
Hinata didn't see what was going on with them since Gaara was in back of her. The waitress gave them a booth by the window and asked if this was fine, they said it was perfect. The girls sat by the window and the guys sat on the edge.
"Your waitress is Amaya; she will be right with you" a pretty brown haired girl came and introduced herself and asked "What would you like to drink?"
"I'll have lemon ice-tea" Gaara told her. "I'll have a pink lemonade" Tenten said. "Ice-tea" Neji told her and the brown haired girl looked at Hinata. "Hot-tea?" Tenten smiled at her "No, I'll have a lemon ice-tea"
Tenten smiled surprisingly "Changing it up huh?" Hinata nodded "Hm" she looked at Gaara "What if I don't like it?" she smiled "You'll like it," he told her. With that the waitress left, leaving them alone together. Gaara looked at the menus that the hostess had left as she showed them the table.
Tenten looked through the menu, she was very quiet and she didn't know if she felt hurt or stupid towards Neji. I mean he did raise his voice and had sworn at her, this was the first time. But she was the one who had asked the question. She meant it in good terms, she wanted to help.
"Ten?" he whispered to her, no answer "Oh hey Hinata, um my mom is out with Dan again and I was wondering if you wanted to go over today" Hinata looked at her "Sure" she smiled.
Tenten really needed to be alone for a few right now "Neji can I get out, I need to use the restroom" she told him, Neji slipped out and stood up Tenten slipped out the booth and stood up and walked past him without saying anything.
Neji looked at her and back at Gaara and Tenten "Excuse me" he followed her and caught her arm before she went into the bathroom "Ten-" and turned her "-I'm sorry"
"Let me go" she said as she tried to pull away, he didn't want to hurt her so he did. She didn't look at him; she kept her eyes on the wooden floor. He tilted his head "I know you were trying to help me-" she heard him talk "-you know I'm not the kind of guy to show-"
"Emotions?" she said angrily. That was a lie, well to her. In her eyes Neji was Neji. He's shown her and Hinata emotions Kiba or even Lee don't know Neji has.
"-to show that I'm hurt" she heard him say "-I do feel betrayed by Sasuke" he sighed and looked over to the table where he saw Hinata and Gaara having a conversation, in which Gaara seem to have smile and Hinata blush and giggle.
"-I have to accept the fact that-" he took a small breath "-it still wasn't a reason for me to yell and curse at you. I'm sorry" he reached for her cheek and traced it down to her chin, he needed to see those eyes; he needed reassured that she was still for him.
He lifted her chin and he met those two soft brown eyes "I was I jerk-"
"Yes you were-"she saw hurt and regret in his eyes. She knew he wasn't the kind of person to cuss for no reason, hearing him swear out loud had shocked her, that's how she knew he was really hurting. "-but I'm sorry for bringing that up in the first place"
He shook his head "Don't apologize" he gently touched her cheek "-these past few days-" he couldn't…she covered his mouth "I forgive you, you jerk" she smiled at him and gave him a hug "I'm sorry again" he told her as he hugged her back. Tenten pulled away and looked up at him, "I'm hungry"

Hinata looked over at Tenten, she was quieter than usual. Neji looked a bit hurt. Neji might have whispered but since it was quiet in the table she had heard when Neji called Tenten name, she hadn't answered and that's when Tenten had said that her mom was out with Dan again and if she wanted to stop by, Hinata smiled and said sure.
After a few seconds Tenten had told Neji that she needed to use the restroom. She saw Neji eyes, they looked empty and regretful 'What was going on?' Hinata asked herself. Neji slid out the booth and let Tenten out and as Tenten was making her way to the restroom Neji looked back at Hinata and Gaara.
"Excuse me" Hinata nodded. She just hoped that everything was okay.
Gaara sliglty looked at her and said as he flipped through the menu "I'm sure they will work it out" she turned to face Gaara "You're biting your lip"
"Huh" she said confused by his words "You tend to bite on your lips when you are worried for someone" she looked down at the menu with a small blush then thought about it. She didn't know why but she was now looking at him. His features were calm as he looked through the menu. The waitress had asked back and asked if they were ready to order "We'll wait for the rest to return" Gaara had told her.
Amaya said to take the time they needed and she'll come back. He had been looking at the menu since. He looked so serious in a good way though.
Wait now that she thought about it she said "Oh" she still looking at him said "You were staring a-at me" he looked up and made eye contact with her soft lilac eyes a small blushed yet smile appeared upon her face once more. She didn't know why but just having Gaara around made her more open more of her old self.
She was quite the observant "I was making-" her smile never left "Observations?" she finished for him "I-it's pretty much the same thing" Gaara smiled. Wait he smiled? Since when does he smile "I saw you observing me as well Hinata" her blush deepened a bit. He heard himself laugh this time.
He looked at her blush 'This girl makes wings for demons' he thought to himself. She had the abilities to bring out emotions he never used or thought he'd use again. Being Kazekage and taking it from his father's side, he is always serious, having a calm yet somewhat serious if not dangerous look most of the time but that's who he is.
Until Hinata came into the picture, now he found himself more sociable. He's gone out with the Hyuuga family members. Back at Suna it would be rare if he ever went out with his siblings. He's seeing a better side in life.
She giggled "You're blushing, Gaara" huh wait pause! Gaara is what? "What do you mean?" he himself was confused. The next thing surprised him, he felt Hinata' hand on his cheek "You're cheek is warm" his jade eyes looked at her "Means you're blushing l-like m-m-me" wow why the stutters all of a sudden?
She put her hand back and a few seconds later she saw Tenten smiling, she was much happier.
"Sorry to keep you waiting-" Neji told them both. Everyone looked at the menu in silence and when Amaya come they all gave her their order. About 20 minutes or so the food had arrived and they each ate and talked among each other.
"Will your uncle be home today?" Gaara asked Neji, who nodded in response "Is it about the K9 center?" Tenten asked. Gaara nodded "Yes, we haven't had time to talk and finish the papers"
"Did you still want me to go to your house-" Hinata asked, she wasn't sure now. She wouldn't mind if she said yes or no to her. "Umm-" she have her, the 'I'm sorry' look. "It's okay-" Hinata told her; she understood.
Once the men where done paying, Hinata of course left with Gaara. "I'll see you later okay Hina-" she nodded at her cousin. "I'll text you later Hinata" Tenten waved at her. Hinata waved back. "Take care of her Gaara, or me and Kenta are coming after you!" she told him, before Gaara asked, Hinata said "Kenta is her cat"
"I will" Gaara told Tenten. Hinata smiled "She's not k-kidding just to let you know" she told him. Gaara opened the door for her and let her get in. after he was sitting inside to he asked "Would you like to go anywhere Hinata?"
"The park would be nice" she told him. Then that's where they'll be going.
Once they were in the park, Hinata looked at the swings and gave a sad smile. Those swings brought her memories she now wished never happened.
…
"That stays between-" she lightly bit his weak spot a moan escaped. Damn him, he needed to control himself "-Us?" she finished.
He was breathing a bit faster "Yeah" he told her. He couldn't see the blush that had taken over her cheeks.
She stepped back and walked towards one of the swings. She always did love swinging in swings; she did have a dress so…that wasn't a good idea right now.
She just sat there enjoying the breeze and looking at the lights. Sasuke kneeled in front of her and looked into her beautiful shining eyes and couldn't help but smile. He pulled himself up and kissed her.
Hinata let go of the swing chains and wrapped her arms around his neck. They parted and looked at each other' eyes "I love you Hinata"
"I love you too Sasuke" Sasuke really knew how to sweep a girl of her feet. She took the advantage to kiss him again in his weak spot "Hinataaa" she giggled again "If you keep doing that, I don't know if I can control myself around you"
It was true, just being near her…now her kissing his 'weak' spot was too much. He needed to control himself. He didn't want to scare her or hurt her. He wanted to have her, to taste everything about her. He needed her. Bad.
With that said she blushed a bit "Sorry" she smiled at him. "I would say it's not your fault, but-" he kissed her "It is" he smiled as he saw her pout "I mean you're so beautiful and augh-" he sighed "Curse my hormones"
Hinata bit her lip and kissed him once more in his weak spot, just for tease. "Hinaaata"
"Sasuke" she whispered his name near his ear "Thank you"
He knew she met for the surprise "You're welcome"
…
"Everything okay?" Gaara asked her, Hinata nodded but looked away. Maybe the park wasn't such a good idea. Gaara walked and looked at her, her eyes held tears but they hadn't fallen yet. He gently grabbed her shoulders and led her back the car "Lets' go somewhere else"
She was calmer now, the tears did not fall and it was all thanks to Gaara. He had taken her just outside the village, to a waterfall. The water did always sooth and washes the bad things away.
Right now they washed the bad memories and eased her pain away. Gaara and Hinata sat on a boulder about 30 feet from the waterfall, that way when they talked they be able to hear each other.
Everything was quiet and calm, that is until Gaara phone rang.
"Hello?" Hinata looked at his face. His calm expression changed into shock and anger. Had something happened?
Okay please don't hate me. I know I've made you wait for so long and now im ending it here. I promise I'll try to update much quicker. Thanks to those who have waited and to those who have favorite it and are following it.
