I can't believe it's been like what five years? I do sincerely apologize because
"Kiyoko!" Genma, Kotetsu, Izumo along with Kakashi and Ibiki followed Pakkun who had turned right to where the shot had been heard.
Neji ran to a small open area, to see Aoi pinned down with Bull, the large bulldog. "Hold him tight!" Kakashi ordered them.
Neji grabbed on to him making Urushi, the Akita and Shiba, the Schnauzer move out of the way "Where is Kiyoko?" Bull still had Aoi by the back, his jaws locked on his shoulder blades.
Aoi smiled at him "You're too late." Neji heard Pakkun whined and he stood up as Kakashi held onto Aoi and told the dogs to release. Neji got up and saw Pakkun about 100 feet away and ran towards him only to see Kiyoko' body on the floor, she'd been shot on her lower left abdomen.
"Kiyoko-" he gently grabbed and was about to pick her up when she spoke "N-Neji-" he shook his head "Please don't speak, we need to get you to the hospital-" her eyes were weeping.
She knew she didn't have much. Kiyoko shook her head "It's no use. I-d-don't h-have much time. N-Neji P-please tell T-Tenten that-"
Neji leaned in as he held her hand and after what she told him, he felt her hand fall "K-Kiyoko?" she was gone. Neji closed his eyes letting the tears that had accumulated as Kiyoko told him what he wanted him to tell Tenten for her.
Neji had stayed with Kiyoko until the coroners came for her. Neji' hands dug into the earth. Kakashi, Izumo and Kotetsu left with Aoi in custody leaving Genma along with the sobbing Neji.
"Neji-" he needed to go home and wash her blood off his clothes. He need to rest. Genma could only imagine how he would feel when he had to tell Tenten.
"I can't go home and have Hinata see me like this. I can't let Ten see me like this either-"
"You can stay at my plave-" Genma really could see that this was hard for him and knew that only time was going to make it better. "-come on."
Neji let the dry blood wash off his body, tears mixed with the hot water. Kiyoko was gone. How was he going to break the news to Tenten? Her mother was all she had left, well besides Kenta. He turned off the water and wrapped the towel around his waist.
"I left a pair of clothes on the spare room for you." Genma always had sets of clean clothes since at times Izumo or Kotetsu would stay when they've had a bit more drinks than they should have. Of course he washed them and put them away.
He gave him a pair of black sweats and white shirt; after changing Genma offered him some coffee "If I had put everything together faster-"
"Don't beat yourself over this Hyuuga-" Genma offered him some coffee "-It's because of you we managed to find Aoi but I'm sorry about Kiyoko."
Genma knew Kiyoko didn't have much time even if they had taken her to the hospital. Neji took the cup, the fresh brewed black coffee from him "Thanks."
He didn't even want to turn on his phone (he'd turned it off before he had taken a shower but that had been almost four hours ago) he knew Tenten must have called and or texted him if he was okay or where he was.
Tenten pushed the end button and looked at her cat "His phone is off-" Kenta' large yellow eyes looked at her and "Meow!" Hinata had left shortly after Neji left because she had promised Shino they'd meet up, she told her how she was sorry but she had told her it was fine.
"I wonder if he's okay?" of course she was talking to herself, Kenta just curled up into a ball and fell asleep. Was he on a mission? He did leave in a hurry during the movie.
Tenten decided to give her mom a call once more but this time she decided to ask when she was coming back so they could have a girl day because since Dan was in the picture they haven't had any time together.
Yes, she's been avoiding and ignoring her mom lately but that didn't mean she didn't love her. She loves her mother and she recognizes that she'd been acting like a totally stuck up brat. The engagement was what had made her mad because she had to hear it from some lady in the market she barely knew.
Point was that she's happy with her mom finding love with someone. She knows that she still loves her father and that no one will ever take his place but its finally nice seeing her mother smile.
So first thing she was going to do was hug her mother and say sorry and have a day with just her and some good mani-pedis and a sappy movie along with some popcorn and candy should help them feel like best friends once more.
The call had gone to voice mail and hearing her recorded voice mail made her smile 'Hi you've reached Kiyoko Okazaki just spending time with my favorite girl Tenten leave a message after the beep' BEEP.
They had recorded that voice mail together after a medi-pedi and movie; which she hoped they would have again tomorrow afternoon.
"Oh hey mom-" she took a deep breath "-just calling to see how you're doing, call me back when you heard this, bye."

Hinata had spent the afternoon with Shino, since Kiba was in a mission (After leaving Tenten house)
"Is everything going well for you Hinata?" Hinata smiled "I'm fine, thank you Shino. How about with you?"
"Fine, thank you for asking." Hinata took the fruit cup he'd bought for her in a small fruit stand just in the corner of his house. She loved the cut up mango slices and strawberries.
"I haven't seen Sai or Shin lately?" Shino pushed up his sunglasses and looked at her "I believe they are in a mission with Kiba."
After the nice fruit cup and spending time together at the quitter side of the park admiring the beetles, they had called it a day. Shino had walked her home and didn't leave until she was inside.
A certain message had her smiling as she walked in, it was from Gaara.
The sands miss you.
Hinata touched her lips, remembering their kiss made her blush. She also missed Suna; she missed the candied chestnuts, the warm breeze and cool breeze at night but most of all she missed Gaara.
She put her phone down and opened the door and was greeted by her father, "How was your day with Shino?"
"He found another rare beetle." Hiashi smiled "Another one?"
Hinata nodded "Yes, it seems he gets lucky almost every day he look for one. Is Neji home?"
"Did you guys work things out?" Hinata nodded "Yes. He's with Tenten but he left all of a sudden."
"I'm sure he's okay." Hinata hoped so. It's been two weeks since she' been back from Suna and he was happy to say that Hinata came back different.
His daughter had back her sparkle in her eyes and she would smile daily now. He and Hinata had some tea when he saw Hinata touched her stomach "Something wrong?" he asked as he walked around the counter to her.
"No, just still can't believe it." He smiled at her and smiled at her "You'll be great Hinata, go rest now."
Toady had been…as Lee would say 'full of youth' she headed upstairs to rest.

Sasuke had taken down the last of Orochimaru' goons and of course Orochimaru watched as Sasuke defeated each one of them.
However in Orochimaru' eyes he was still soft "They're still alive!" Sasuke walked past him and stopped to look him in the eyes "I have no interest in tainting my favorite shirt with blood." and with that he walked away.
Once he was inside of the hide out, he went to his room and got in the shower. He let the hot water hit every part of his body letting his muscles relax. Once he was done and changed into his sweats and laid in bed and closed his eyes.
This past few days he'd just train and train even more because in the pit of his stomach he knew Orochimaru was up to something.

Hinata woke up heading to the bathroom, she still hadn't gotten use to the feeling of morning sickness but she was thankful that it wasn't an everyday thing. After brushing her teeth and showering she headed downstairs after her sickness she wasn't in the mood for eating so she prepared herself a hot tea.
She heard the familiar "Oink" which only meant that Tsunade was coming and when she saw her she couldn't help but worry for her. She hadn't been herself this past two weeks since they got back from Suna.
"Good morning" Tsunade looked at Hinata "Morning."
"Tsunade how are you feeling?"
"Better." truth was she far from felling okay. She just found out Dan was alive and working for Orochimaru. She didn't want to believe it…but with the pictures Jiraya had shown her it wasn't a clone or a twin, since he was an only child.

"Dan is dead Jiraya and if this is some kind of sick joke-" Jiraya saw Tsunade eyes were watery now but was trying hard not to let her tears fall. She get up from the booth where they were and walk out, he left a good amount of money and chanced her.
Once they were outside he grabbed her arm and made her stop "Tsunade, I thought you needed to know this." by now her tears were making their way down her cheeks.
"It's a lie-"
"I wish it were-" she then thought about Shizune because after all she was his niece. She was still studying in the Lighting country for her last year of medic-school.

Tsunade eyes began to drown just thinking about it "Tsunade? What's wrong?" she blinked remembering where and who she was with.
She whipped the tears away "I'm fine, Hinata-" she tried to reassure her "-don't worry"
Hinata was worried "I just want to make sure you're okay. Would you like to talk about it? I mean if you like."
Tsunade smiled "Thank you Hinata-" maybe talking to Hinata will make her feel better.
Tsunade took a deep breath and while both were eating Tsunade told her about how she had met Dan, how they fell in love and how he was reported dead but then when she met Jiraya he had shown her pictures of him alive.
How he was now working with…she didn't mention Orochimaru because that would be bringing Sasuke memories back so she said a gang.
Hinata listened and handed her some tissues, "So your friend, Jiraya confirmed it was him?"
"Yes-" what could have made Dan go rogue? Why would he pretend to be dead? Maybe it was a mission. however Hinata felt like it wasn't right to bring that up because she didn't want to mislead Tsunade.
After changing the subject of how Gaara had kissed her. It was no surprise that she had reacted the same way that Hanabi did.
Tsunade smiled and gave Hinata a hug "I'm so happy for you. Gaara is very handsome." Tsunade felt better after talking to Hinata and now they were having a virgin apple martini; so pretty much just apple juice with ice.
"Have you ever thought about possibly maybe in the near future of dating Gaara?" Hinata had thought about it a few several times "So have you?"
"Um m-maybe once or twice." She couldn't help but blush "What do you like about it?" Hinata thought about and smiled "He's gentle, caring and protective of his village. He's-"
"Is he a good kisser?"
"L-Lady Tsunade!" Tsunade laughed "Judging by your redness I'm going to have to say yes." Hinata touched her cheeks with the back of her hands and took a deep breath "Want to surprise him?"
"How?" surprise Gaara? Was that even possible? "We could go tomorrow? I know we were there two weeks ago but I like seeing you happy."
"I'd like that."

Gaara was drying his hair after a hot shower. The village was now somewhat back to normal but he had more Shinobi around the village and watch hawks in the sky. A few new buildings were built. Suna seemed calmer.
Gaara would text a good morning to Hinata every morning since she had left and a good night every night as well. He missed her, he really did.
Since the attack, the elders were and still are hesitating about the Kazekage leaving for the moment. He didn't blame them; he'd be here to protect his village if another attacked happened.
Gaara headed downstairs to have dinner and wasn't surprise to see Temari cooking, meaning she was either stressing over something or someone or wanted something and in those rare occasions, both.
He heard Kankuro come down the stairs "Yo, what up Temari? You stressed or something?"
"Can't a sister cook?" Kankuro took his usual seat and he saw Gaara sit in the head of the table.
"Something's up?" Gaara thought to himself. Temari turned off the stove and looked back at him.
"It's nothing." She didn't want to talk about the fact that she and Shikamaru had kissed.
"I bet it hast to do with Nara, doesn't it?"
"Shut up Kankuro." Kankuro smiled "I knew it; he has a think for you." after a few swear words and a piece of broccoli hitting Kankuro in the face they ate and talk about how things where with each other. Kankuro was stepping up his game with a girl from the village.
Temari would have rather talked about how thingd had gone by with Hinata two weeks ago but of course Gaara didn't answer and gave her a glare which made Temari smile.
After eating and doing some small talk both Gaara and Kankuro offered to wash the dishes and give Temari a break.
After heading upstairs he took out his phone and texted Hinata a simple Sleep well Hinata.
Throughout some days they'd text but if they didn't he'd text her in the morning with a Good morning Hinata or a Have a good dayand during the night he'd text her saying Goodnight Hinata or a Sweet dreams.

Hinata smiled at the text, he always texted her good morning around 7 o'clock and goodnight around 10 o'clock. She loved seeing those small messages, she knew as Kazekage there would be time he wouldn't text back right away but he would always reply even if it was 5-10 minutes later.
Hinata replied him a goodnight as well before she set her phone down "Was it his goodnight message?" Hinata nodded "Do you have your things packed?" Tsunade asked her. Hinata couldn't help but smile.
They had their things in the truck so they would wake up and leave. Hiashi had overheard them as they were talking about.
He was happy to see her daughter happy but Kazekage or no Kazekage if Gaara already had Hinata' heart… he would get the 'talk' from him.

Hinata could see the large wall rocks of the village; up above he saw a few hawks flying around. Her guess was to see any enemies from above.
The truck was soon surrounded by a few Shinobi "Lady Tsunade, Lady Hinata?" Baki said as he signaled to step back and not raise their weapons "I'm glad to see you again welcome back."
"Thank you." Hinata looked at the man, Gaara' right hand man "I'm sure Lord Kazekage-" Tsunade waved her hand and said "He doesn't know and if it's okay with you we'd like to surprise him."
Baki nodded "He's currently working from home-"
"Is he okay?" Hinata asked. Baki nodded "Yes he is just too stubborn to rest-" Hinata could only imagine and after the attack…
"Lady Hinata I talk on behalf of our Kazekage you are more than welcome to stay there and maybe you could put some sense into him."
Hinata didn't anything only nodded he then gave the signal to let them in. Tsunade made her way to the house "You go put some sense on Gaara and I'll go pick up a few things, want anything?"
Hinata shook her head "Not right now but if I we need anything I'll text you? Um Tsunade will you-" Tsunade knew that she meant well "I'm meeting up with Jiraya again. Maybe this time he's willing to return to Konoha."
"Good luck-" Tsunade smiled "Thanks. Just let me know if you want anything."
Once Hinata and Kuro got out of the truck she saw Kankruo outside. After Baki had given the signal to the shinobi he said he'd call Kankuro to let him know you were on the way and to keep in on the down low.
Kankuro greeted her with a hug "Couldn't get enough of Gaara huh?"
She didn't even answer and hugged him back. Unlike before she wasn't used to having people hugged her and all but lately she felt like a new and brighter Hinata.
She was going to be a mom, she had her friends and family and her beloved dogs and now she felt part of Suna; there she has Gaara, Shukaku, Kankuro, Temari and Baki.
"I came to see you-" she giggled "I knew it!" he smiled back "He's upstairs. I'm going to go to the towel and get some missions in order."
"He's got you working too?" Kankuro shook his head "He's got so much on his plate that I figured he needed some help." He saw her light lavender eyes "Go, he's in the study downstairs."
"Thank you. Make sure to come home soon-"
"Why are you cooking?" Hinata nodded "Okay I'll see you soon." With that said she saw Kankuro leave and she opened the door to see "Hey Shukaku-" she walked inside, trying to be as quiet a she could be. She softly knocked on the door.
Gaara hadn't slept since his text to Hinata saying goodnight. He had so much in his plate right now but with Kankuro signing and receiving reports from the shinobi he was finally done with most of the papers the elders had given him.
He heard a soft knock and with a deep sigh he looked up; he swore if it was Kankuro again, he was going to only have s sister.
"Come in-" he said as he set the last few papers in the pile and looked up to see "Hinata?"
A smile appeared on her face "Hi Gaara." Gaara stood up "Hinata?" he walked around the desk and towards her "S-surprise?" Gaara just wanted to kiss her and tell her how much he missed her but he was just happy to have her here.
Although he did hug her, and he felt her hug him back. Hinata hugged him and as she closed her eyes she inhaled his scent; midnight sands and overall manliness.
AS much as he didn't want to let go he had to, after all he wanted to see her beautiful face "I missed you." Hinata smiled and bit her lip but an "I missed you too Gaara." she then looked up at him "I hear you haven't been sleeping well?"
Gaara looked down at her "It's been a long few days-" Hinata couldn't help but worry for him "I know it's been hard-" Hinata smiled "-you've been through a lot and you're handing it well but you also have to take care of your b-body."
Great she stuttered because she'd seen his body and well…he's fit and has tattoos so what would you do? I mean he's attractive.
Gaara rubbed the back of his neck "You need to rest-" Gaara brushed his thumb down her cheek "I will but right now I want to be with you." Hinata' heart pretty much melted as she heard him say that to her.
Hinata gave him a smile "I'm not g-going anywhere. I'll be here when you wake up." as much as he wanted to be with her, his body was demanding rest and even if it was only for half an hour he'd rest.
"Okay." Hinata had been resting her hands on his hips or in his case his V line "Have you eaten?" she saw him nod "I had breakfast."
"Do you want anything to eat?" Gaara couldn't help but fall for her more "Some of your famous chicken noodle soup."
Hinata smiled, so he remembered "Okay." Hinata was about to let go when again Gaara embraced her "Thank you." Hinata wasn't really sure what he was thanking her fore but she said "You're welcome now go and rest."
He couldn't help but notice as Hinata made her way out the door how beautiful she looked with black leggings and a dark grey long sleeve tunic shirt, which perfectly hugged her body in the right places.
Gaara made his way up to the room once there he took off his shirt and changed into some black workout shorts he then dropped his body on the bed and last thing he remembered was his head touched the pillow.
Hinata was now washing the dishes she had used; the chicken noodle had a few minutes for it to boil, and she put the fire in low and headed to check on Gaara.
Guess he did need sleep Gaara stood up and stretched, he didn't even bother on putting on a shirt as he headed downstairs "Gaara-" he looked to See Hinata "Something smells good."
"Did you sleep well?" Gaara nodded "-are you hungry?" and again he nodded and seeing that Hinata was red he decided to put on a shirt.
Once downstairs it was as if thought everyone knew the food was ready because in came Tsunade, Kankuro and Temari "Something smell good." Temari commented.

He couldn't sleep how he could. Kiyoko had died in his hands today and he knew he had to deliver the bad news to Tenten. Today had been a long day for everyone, they had managed to capture another rogue shinobi but they had lost somebody in the process.
Neji had finally manage to fall asleep only to see Kiyoko dying in his arms one more time but by the time he wake up sweating and patting it was already 5:30 am, no way was he going back to sleep.
Genma was up as well and from the smell of he had had made coffee "Here." Genma told him as he handed him a black mug.
"Thanks for letting me stay here tonight Genma."
"Take as much needed time here as you want Neji. You did all you could Neji." He saw Neji hold on to the mug as if the hotness of it didn't bother him, he put a hand on his shoulder "Come on Neji I made some breakfast."

Tenten hadn't gotten much sleep "Did she get married and not invite me? Are they on their honeymoon?"
So many thoughts and questions rushed in and out her head "I hope they save me some cake." She couldn't help but frown "And I haven't heard from Neji either."
She made her way downstairs and to the kitchen to make some breakfast, Kenta soon followed her "Whose hungry?"
"Meow meow-" she opened the can of Friskies and fed him "Enjoy."
She was making waffles and an omelet when she heard the doorbell ring "I swear if it's Neji hes not getting any waffles."
She opened the door to see "Lord Hokage-"
"May I come in?" Tenten nodded "Yeah of course." All of a sudden her stomach dropped in her 20 years she always knew that a visit from the Hokage meant something good happened or something bad happened.
Tenten couldn't help but feel her eyes water "Is something wrong?" she saw his eye look at her; his eyes held so mush secrets and so many memories because of all his years as General of the ANBU.
He let out a deep breath "I'm sorry Tenten-" he put his hand on her shoulder and finished "-your mother has passed away."
There it was "No-"her eyes began to drown in tears "No-" she felt the Hokage embrace her "No!" she cried on his arm "H-how?" Tenten felt her heart shatter "I d-didn't even say goodbye."
Sarutobi looked at his elite body guard "Give us a minute Raidou."
"Of course." He said as he stepped outside.
Tenten couldn't believe it, her mother was gone. She didn't even get to say I love you because she had been acting like a total brat. She hadn't even seen her since yesterday after she left with Dan. He wasn't her concern.
"I didn't even g-get to say how m-mushed I loved her!"

Neji who was still at Genma' place "Neji-" he had barely eaten anything "Lord HOkage is at her place right now"
"What?" Neji soon stood up "-I have to go." and with the said he left Genma place.
I know I know it's been a few more like 4-5-6 years now, I'm soooo sorry for whoever has been waiting for that long.
I had lost my flash drive…believe it or not, I had looked and looked and nothing so I had given up because you know what they say if you stop looking for them that's when they appear.
so that's what I did…I stopped looking for it…and then my older sister was cleaning her stuff and she found it.
So of course since that day I've been writing…well I had to read some chapters to catch up and to figure out what was going to happen.
Hopefully I haven't lost my touch but more things are coming now that I have my flash drive I promise I'll update my stories. More updates will come. More drama. More Sasuke Hinata flashbacks/moments. More Gaara Hinata moments as well.
