Maybe its Best? OFFICIAL Ch 15
Hinata was currently in the mall with Naruto, shopping for Iruka' birthday gift, since it was in two days. She had missed Chouji' since she was at Suna but she heard Chouji, Ino and Shikamaru had visit the land of hot water for the spas.
The food festival and new restaurant that had open, where they met three shinobi from the Hidden Cloud Village…Samui, Karui and younger brother Omoi.
She gave him a card and a handmade terrarium when he arrived back. He loved it and she was relieved.
Naruto was currently paying for Iruka' gift, he ended up getting him a wallet and a trip for two to the spas in the land of Swamps.
He had chosen the land of swamps because he would be in the land of Demons to get away from everything here; and that everything is Sakura. He would be leaving first thing on Tuesday after the ultra sound.
He wanted to just be out of the country for a few weeks, maybe a month or so. He didn't want to leave Hinata behind but after a long talk, she encouraged him to go and she promised him she wouldn't do the gender revel party until he comes back.

Kin had been hiding in the room for the past two days. I mean after their little encounter…she felt weird and she had so many questions. She paced back and forth until she took a deep breath and decided to head out. Opening the door she pretended to be on her phone until her phone actually rang; it was her brother Dosu.
She quickly slid it to answer "Dosu?" she whispered "Where the hell are you?"
"I'm not Dosu."
She was use to things like this. Dosu' so called friends would call and say he was in danger, needless to say she had lost a few hundred dollars like that.
"I'm not falling for this shit again-"
"I would reconsider that-" the voice was deep.
"Fuck-"
"Kin!" that was Dosu; he sounded scared.
Kin felt a knob in her stomach but still "How do I know-"
"Check your phone." she clicked on the attachment and gasped "Your brother messed with the wrong people."
This was real. Whoever he was sent a picture of Dosu beaten up pretty bad, his lip was cut, a bloody nose, his left eye was swollen and his cheek was cut open as well. She felt her hand shake "Please don't hurt him anymore." she said as her voice cracked a little.
"I want my money"
Money? How much had he taken?
"Hey Kakuzu, don't you mean our money? You selfish prick!"
"5 million by Monday."
Is this what Dosu meant the last time he visited him by doing well? He was gambling? Panic took over
"That's not enough time-"
"Make time, unless you want your brother sent to you in boxes."
Kin felt weak all a sudden "Just please don't-" he hung up. She tried calling Dosu' phone back but no answer; he'd turn off the phone.
Kin wiped the tears and grabbed her keys and ran to the front door, panic took over that she hadn't notice Itachi coming back from his run.
"Kin, what's wrong-" she didn't answer and ran towards her car.
They have him. They have Dosu. I can't lose him.
She told herself as she got in her car.
Itachi was looking forward to hopefully seeing Kin. After that happened at Suna, she was acting weird and uncomfortable around him. He didn't want that.
The door opened, almost hitting him in the face and he saw Kin dash past him, crying "Kin, what's wrong?" she didn't answer.
"Kin!" he ran inside the house and ran towards his room to grab one set of keys from the nightstand.
"Yo-"
"Kakashi-" her voice was panicky.
"Kin?" he stopped from his run "What wrong?"
"They have Dosu-" she cried out.
"Where are you?" he calmly asked
"I need to find him."
"Go to my place, I'll be there in five."
She nodded "Okay." She was close by; she's been to Kakashi' place once or twice; the first time was of course when she first arrived in Konoha and didn't have a place to stay.
Within a week or so, he had helped her find her own place; not that he wouldn't allow her to stay with him; she was the one that had asked for help in finding a place of her own, to have a fresh start.
Kakashi saw a worried Kin waiting inside. Guess she still kept the spare key.
"Kinnara?" he opened the door as he called her by her full name. She was pacing back and forth and as her full name was called she looked at him with tears in her eyes and ran towards him "What happened?"
"I got a call from Dosu-" she said "-but it wasn't him. I thought it was a joke, an excuse to get money from me again b-but-" Kakashi put a hand on her shoulder "Stay clam"
"They sent me this" she gave him her phone.
Kakashi looked at the photo; it was Dosu, all beaten up.
"They?"
"Hidan and Kakuzu are behind this." She said "-that means Orochimaru is behind this as well." she clenched her fists.
She was aware of the Akatsuki; after all Orochimaru had been one of them but something had happened and they now wanted his head but because he always moves around they could never find him. She knew Hidan and Kakuzu because Orochimaru would make business with them.
Orochimaru would give Kakuzu money for people (human trafficking) so he could test his experiments. Hidan; he, he had raped him. This was while Orochimaru was supposed to protect her. However just a month after that Kakashi had saved her.
"Kin, there is something you should know-" Kakashi began only to hear Itachi concern voice call for her as he came through the open door (guess he forget to close it.) "Kin?" she looked down and felt her hands shake a bit "What's wrong?" Itachi walked towards her and stopped as she launched herself at him.
She wrapped her arms around his waist and dug her head on his chest. Itachi hugged her, protecting her from whatever this was. His red eyes looked at Kakashi. His eyes widen a bit as Kakashi hand sighed to him, telling him that Kakuzu and Hidan had his brother. Itachi guided Kin to the sofa.
"She needs to know-" Kakashi told him. Kin looked both at Itachi and Kakashi "Know what?"
This was too much to process. Orochimaru was the one that had taken Sasuke away from Hinata. He's been behind the attack in Suna. Itachi was or still is an Akatsuki! I'm sure there was more but this is what she needed to know.
"I'm sure Orochimaru will be after Hinata' unborn child. I mean, there are only two Uchiha' left. Hinata' baby has our blood-" Itachi said "-Sasuke-" he stopped himself from telling her everything, he trusted her.
"He betrayed the village-" Kakashi finished.
"Kinnara-" Itachi looked at Kakashi. Kinnara; was that her full name? It was beautiful "None of this is because you left him."
"Left who?" Itachi asked "Orochimaru?" he finished, more like a question.
"Yeah" Kin smiled sadly "Kakashi saved me from him and from Hidan."
"What did Hidan do to you?" his eyes still a crimson red "Kin-" he saw her eyes tear up again, they held fear like Hinata when he found out that…Had Hidan…
"Kin?" said her name again "Did he-?" his voce held anger but he couldn't dare finish as anger boiled inside.
She shook her head "No, he almost did but he didn't." good, Hidan would still die thought. He hurt Hinata and tried to do the same to Kin.
"Our priority is getting Dosu back. I'm sure Orochimaru order them to get him back before we could get our hands on him. He knows something."
"This isn't Orochimaru doing." Kin said; she knew Orochimaru wouldn't beat him like that; why beat him when he could kill him; fter all a dead man wouldn't talk, "-Dosu and Haku are both loyal to him."
It hurt saying that but it was true. They thanked Orochimaru with their loyalty. They thanked him for taking them in and saving them from a shithole. However Orochimaru fed them both lies and they believed it.
"I think it's time to give Haku a little visit." Kakashi mentioned. Kin stood up "What are you going to do to him?" Itachi now had his arm around her, her body trembled.
"If it's not Orochimaru' doing then I'm sure Haku knows something."

"Fuck you!" Dosu yelled as he spit blood "Stop it Hidan. I need him alive."
"So how much you think we'll get?"
Kakuzu grunted "About 10 million."
"Oh shit-" he laughed "With that money I'll be able to retire and get some hot babes!"
He'd heard of Orochimaru plan to get Dosu back. Sasuke and Hiro were supposed to be the show, they were the ones that were supposed to get him back but he saw money for the operation. If he got his hands on Dosu, he could get money from his sister and Orochimaru; if he wanted his rat back.
The stupid girl would be easy. Orochimaru on the other hand; he had to offer him something better.

Haku opened the door only to be grabbed by the collar "What the fuck-"
"Hello Haku-" Kakashi calm yet irritated voice come out.
"What do you want Hatake?"
"Information." He let him go not before he pushed him inside.
"Fuck off-" he looked past him "Oh great, this prick again." he said as he looked at Itachi.
"Look, I personally don't care what happens to you-" Kakashi said it and he meant it. If his life meant saving Kin's or even to save the universe; he wouldn't think about it and hand Haku over.
"Kakuzu has Dosu-"
"What?" he said a bit surprised "You're shitting me right?"
"No." He saw Kin come behind Itachi, she'd been crying "Haku if you know anything, please tell me." Itachi saw a glimpse of something in his eyes as he told her "I don't know. Look, Dosu is like a brother to me-"
"Cut the crap-" Itachi said as he walked past Kakashi and quickly grabbed him the collar "-you know something-" his red eyes looked down at him. Haku felt his breath being cut off as Itachi hand made contact with throat.
"Uchiha-" Kakashi said only before Haku said "M-money-" he managed to say. Itachi unclenched his hand from his throat "He's after money-"
"Who ordered it?"
"Not O-Orochimaru." He managed to escape Itachi grip as he smirked.
"It was you?" Kin asked now anger in her voice. Itachi grabbed her by the waist "You bastard!"
"You think your brother is smart enough to win all that money on his own, sweetheart? Who do you think taught him to count cards?" he laughed "I told you you'd regret leaving me."
"All of this because I felt you-" Kin yelled "-you're sick Haku and to think I loved you once!" Kakashi couldn't bear to see Kin like this; in a quick movement he grabbed him by the throat and slammed against the wall.
"Listen you little prick-" he's had enough "You think Kakuzu will spare your life?" he slightly squeezed his throat, digging his nails in his skin "He'll take the money-" he smirked "-he'll kill you or hand you over to Orochimaru." He saw a glimpse of fear "What will Orochimaru think? His faithful rat working behind his back."
Kakashi was making him think "You were so caught up with your little revenge that you didn't think all this through."
He was right. If Orochimaru found out about his little plan without consulting him…that part wasn't the worst.
He didn't have the money he had promised. His plan was to get the money from Dosu but Orochimaru had another plan; a plan to show some pretty boy. But when he contacted Kakuzu and asked him to get Dosu for him. He asked what was in it for him. The first thing he said was money; which he didn't have.
"Tell us where he is-" Kakashi told him "Where is Dosu?

After calling Asuma and giving him the location of Haku' apartment "You want me to what?"
"Pick up the trash and then meet me by gate 13 in the forest of death."
"Anything else?"
"Pick up my dogs." he said before he hung up.
Kin was now waiting outside when she heard the door open "Let's go get your brother." Kin ran to Kakashi and hug him "Matur suwun." 'Thank you'
"Anytime."
Of course she didn't forget about Itachi, after a quick hug with Kakashi she practically flew towards him. Itachi felt her warm breath on the crock of his neck "I'm sorry." She whispered. What was she sorry for?
He hugged her, a hug that told her 'I'm here. I'll protect you' he felt a light peck on his neck before he heard a "Thank you."
"Be careful."

"Shut up Hidan!" the forest of death was quiet; until Hidan spoke other than that nothing could be heard except for cicadas, bats flying around and an owl or two.
"Will you shut up Hidan!" Kakuzu' yelled "Oh bite me Kakuzu! When is that little asshole coming?"
"He better be here soon-" Kakuzu said "and he better have my money."
"These fucken mosquitos are going to be the death of me! Shit! Why couldn't you pick a nice hotel or something?"
They were in position.
Asuma had delivered Haku to a few Shinobi. He was locked up now. Something was up; guess he'll find out soon. He stopped by the Inuzuka household to pick them up. I mean its nine dogs, as much as he wanted to keep him in his one bedroom apartment he couldn't.
He didn't want to have them cramped in there, they needed space and he didn't need a big house for himself. He liked his apartment so when Tsume offered her backward and kettles. Kakashi had offered to pay for the space his dogs occupied.
Tsume didn't take it; she knew his dogs meant a lot so as long as he took them out of a few trips and visited them every day she was happy to have them here.
He did a very good on training them without the leash. He got all of them in the truck and drove to the forest of death.
Kakashi knew Kinnara wouldn't be able to hold herself together in the sight of Hidan so he had asked her to stay in at his place, with a few dogs to keep watch of course.
Itachi had called Genma, Kotetsu and Izumo; gave them the short story and asked to please keep an eye on her; to take her and the dogs Kakashi had left behind to his place. He knew she would want to see Pancake and Okami. They suggested they should be back up but Itachi said they already had backup.
They ran through the forest. Itachi had warned Jiraya, Sai and Shin after Kakashi called them over to the gates of the forest of death and explained what was going on how Kakuzu and Hidan worked. Not together that was for sure. They watched after each other only.
"Do we know how many are there?" Sai asked
"My guess is just them two but we can't take that risk." Kakashi commented "So here's the plan."
Ūhei, the greyhound had located their location but stayed back a few yards. Itachi Knew Hidan liked to leave booby-traps, wire or underground smoke bombs around the area they stayed. Being k-9 dogs they are aware of that.
They surrounded the area and quickly moved in. Kakashi gave Urushi an Akita the signal and he walked and triggered a wire, ringing a bell at the camp sight just a few yards away "We have an intru-" then there was a pause "-it's a dog!"

Dosu was unconscious; they gave him some anesthesia for him to keep him shut. They heard a bell ring at their three o'clock. Hidan took out his triple-bladed scythe as he yelled "We have an intru-" then he stopped and tilted his head "-it's a dog!" he set his scythe down.
"Aw Kakuzu, can we keep him?" Urushi pretended to be hurt, wagged his curl tail as he walked over towards him "He's so fucken cute, I'll name you Magnet." He laughed "Aw this dude is going to get me a bunch of babes; I heard dogs are a chick magnet."
"You idiot." As he was sat back down only to hear another bell he took out a kunai and looked at his now six o'clock, it was a rat. Kakuzu grabbed a kunai but before he could throw it scurried away and then a few smoke bombs went off, followed by some fire crackers. That caught both off guard, that's when the dogs began barking.
The sound of the fire crackers and the smell of the smoke bombs combined with the barking made both Hidan and Kakuzu uneasy of what had just happened. Sai ran in and grabbed Dosu off the floor. The wind began to blow and the smoke soon disappeared.
Kakuzu was surprised by a punch to the face, he rolled back "An ambush, real classic-" Kakuzu' deep voice looked ahead as the smoke began to disappear "-Kakashi." He looked around "four against two. Seems a little unfair don't you think?"
"Where the fuck is my scythe?!" Hidan looked around. Kakashi had ordered Bull, his American bulldog to grab it after the smoke bombs. Itachi and Kakashi had order Asuma to not intervene in the fight.
So he was currently helping Sai since Shin went with Jiraya as they took Dosu to the hospital.
Itachi took a kick to the ribs but missed the punch to the face as Kakashi covered him. He was quick but not quick enough as he punched him in the face.
"That fucken hurt, Kakashi!" he smiled at Itachi; crimson eyes locked to those purple eyes as Itachi elbowed him near his neck.
He knew he was useless without his scythe. He'd seen him without it once and he decided to skip that day.
Hidan felt incomplete without his offering blade. How in the hell had they been found them?
"Did you miss me?" he joked around. Hidan couldn't attack, since he was dodging Kakashi, while Itachi attacked.
Where the hell was his scythe? He blocked a kick from Kakashi but didn't move face enough as Itachi punched him once more. Man that hurt like a mother fucker! He split blood, they were tiring him out and it was working.
Itachi kicked him while Kakashi stabbed him. Itachi took a swing but he dodged it, Hidan smiled at him as he licked his own blood. He began swinging like crazy with the blade in his hand "Lord Jashin will enjoy you blood."
Kakashi held the extra pair of trench knives Asuma had let him borrow and swung once more. He'd manage to cut him here and there.
Kakashi and Itachi united as they both kicked Hidan on the chest, sending him flying and hitting a tree, that was when they knocked him out with chloroform.
"Pull back!" Kakashi yelled as he threw smoke bombs, this one giving a red smoke. Kakashi had called Asuma and Sai to gate 13 but there was no Itachi to be found. Where was he?
"Hidan!" Kakuzu yelled again. Shit! They had taken him! "Son of a bitch!" he yelled as he felt a kunai hit his leg "Well, well, well-" Kakuzu looked around him, he was surrounded.
"Never thought I'd see you guy's again." he said as he looked at Nagato (Pain) this was bad. Kakuzu was out of breath. He was now surrounded by six Akatsuki. He guessed Konan was hiding somewhere.
"You're a disgrace to this organization." Kakuzu knew he didn't have a chance "I can tell you where Sasuke is-" he said, trying to negotiate.
"I ordered you to kill Hidan, you did not." He walked towards him, Zetsu, Deidara, Tobi, Sasori and Kisame right beside him "You're not escaping this time." Nagato said.
"Wait-"

Kin was currently in her room. She'd called Itachi but there was no answering. Was he okay? What about Kakashi? Her thoughts wondered but was startled when her phone rang "H-hello?" she said with a shaky voice.
It was Kakashi "We have Dosu." She felt happy tears fall all of a sudden "Thank god."
"I asked Genma to bring you. See you soon." With that he hung up.

Kin and Genma arrived to the hospital and went to the front desk "I'm here to see Dosu Kinuta." The nurse entered the name.
"He's my brother" she said, the nurse smiled "He's in room 1214." After giving them a valid id and getting their visitors pass the doors opened but them she remembered "What about Itachi Uchiha?" she nurses shook her head "No one by the name of that" Was he back home? Was he hurt?
"Thank you." Genma told the nurse as he guided Kin towards the door "I'm sure he's fine-" Genma looked over at her, their eyes met for a second before she looked down "Yeah."
She knocked before she slid the door open, she saw Kakashi peek up from his book "Hey-" he said setting the book down and standing up. She smiled at him but gasped seeing Dosu all bandage up.
She could still that his cheek was black and blue; his eye looked less swollen from the picture though but he was breathing through a machine.
He knew being honest with her was best "He has two broken ribs but nothing too serious." She sat down and grabbed his hand; it was warm "I'm here Dosu." She whispered at him "Please wake up soon." She had him back; she had her brother back.
Crying had tired her out so with a half an hour she had fallen asleep in the love seat that was by the window.
Kakashi and Genma had been in the hospital café until Izumo called him; they had a mission "Keep my updated okay?"
"Will do." He told him as he headed back to the room. Kakashi slid the door open and saw Kin asleep next to Dosu. She's had a long day. Had she eaten?
He had been texting Itachi and he hadn't replied until 5 minutes ago.
K – Where are you?
I – I'm fine
K – Not what I asked. Kin is here in the hospital, she asked for you.
I – I can't have her worry about me
K – Are you hurt?
I – it's a stab wound, I'll live ive dealt with worse
K – Lol :)
So he was hurt. Damn him and his damn ego. He meant well but without knowing it, he was hurting kin by not seeing her, especially right now, when she needed him.
He gently tapped her shoulder "Kinnara-" he whispered, she furrowed her brows and grunted "Kin-"
"Mhm?" she said waking a bit groggy "-D-Dosu?" she lifted her head and rubbed her eyes.
"He's still asleep." Kakashi helped her up "You need to go home and rest." Her eyes watered once again
"I'm sure Pancake and Okami miss their mom-" he mentioned her two beloved dogs "-I had Kiba stop by and feed them earlier and walk them but I'm more concern about you. You need to rest up Kinnara; I'll stay here and watch over him."
"Okay." She didn't even fight him on that. She was tired; she'd had a long day. Itachi wouldn't reply to her text; she'd only sent one. Are you okay? She was afraid of what might have happened to him? why wasn't he answering?
"We can pick up things for Dosu from your old place when I pick you up tomorrow."
He was right; Dosu would need some clothing "Sounds good." She said a still a bit tired. Thunder was heard nearby.
"Sounds like it'll be raining soon."
She was quiet the ride there.
"I'm sure he's fine." Kakashi told her. As soon as he turned around the Yamanaka flower it began to pour. Kakakshi turned to Itachi' street and stopped by the front porch "Call me when you're up so I can pick you up and get coffee okay?"
"Thanks again, Kakashi." She said before she opened the door and ran to the porch. She unlocked the door and stepped inside, hearing Eiji whine and she went to go see what was wrong.
She headed towards Itachi room and gasped seeing Itachi leaning against the garage door frame Itachi!" he was soaking wet and bleeding. She grabbed him and wanted to take him to her room but he manages to open the door to his room, she followed him and helped him to his bed.
She ran to the closet and grabbed a towel "You'll get sick-" she told him. Itachi had managed to clean the wound and put a layer of bandage but soon after that it began to rain.
He entered through the garage door. He'd lost too much blood. He heard the front door open; the only person he could think of was Kin. Eiji whined at the perfect moment because she saw him after that it was all a blur, he was in his room.
It wasn't time to break down and cry; she was having a small meltdown but she needed to bandage him up.
She had taken his shirt off and began cleaning the wound, she patched the wound and began bandaging him up.
"Kin-" his voice was low, since she was so close "-I'm-"
"Done-" she stood up and said "You should rest." He stood up and grabbed her wrist and pulled her against him.
She was done bandaging him and she was going to let him rest. She didn't want him to see her breakdown. After she stood up and told him he should rest but she felt a hand on her wrist, she only had time to turn as she made contact with his bare chest.
"I'm sorry-" He told her "-for not telling you. For making you worry-" he felt her face fit nicely in the crook of his neck, her arms hooked under his and she let herself cry.
Itachi felt her body shake as she let her cries out. He felt horrible. Kin had been through so much this week last thing he wanted was for her to worry about him; yet she was (worried about him) and he'd made it worse by not telling her.
Kin pulled away "Why didn't you tell me?" she let the tears fall as she looked up at him "I thought-" she bit her lip "I was worried. I thought I might lose you-" hearing that made him feel worse. He sat down and pulled her down so she was sitting on his lap.
There was nothing for him say besides "I'm sorry." He brought her in once more for a hug only this time he let himself fall on the bed, Kin still in his arms. She was resting on top of his chest, where the crow tattoo was.
He heard panic in her voice "I don't want to hurt you-" he moved hid his side, so his stab wound was facing the celling, he let her rest her head on his arm, while the other one rested on her hip. Her hands were tucked in and could feel them against his chest as well as her warm breath.
"You aren't." he rested his cheek on top of her head and without hesitation she said "please stay with me." he whispered, she could hear his heartbeat; it was soothing. Hers on the other hand, she guessed was fast and panicky…her thoughts were racing.
He closed her eyes. He was tired "I don't want to lose you-" he sounded hurt and sincere.
Kin felt a lump in her throat; swallowing that lump she said "You w-won't."

Tenten couldn't believe it. For the last few days, she and Neji hadn't been in Konoha; they had been in Tanzaku town, a small town about 20 miles west where apparently her mother owned a small property.
A small blade/ kunai shop "I'm sorry to hear about your mother, she knew her blades." said the middle aged man who had given her the keys to the shop.
Tenten took the set of keys and looked at the little small picture of them; she was holding her the first kunai knife.
Neji nodded "Thank you Mr. Utoshi."
Neji held on to her as she began to cry, holding tightly to the key.
"I miss her so much-" she wrapped her arms around his waist "-I still can't believe she's gone."
Neji didn't say anything. He just held her and let her cry. He didn't have to tell her that he was here for her or that it was going to be okay because she already knew that. He'd always be here for her; he'd always give her a shoulder to cry on. She'd always have a partner to spar with.
They were now looking around "These are amazing-" Neji looked up at her "-what do you plan to do Ten?"
She smiled sadly "I'd like to keep some and maybe give some away." she grabbed a tri-point kunai knife
"I'm sure Kakashi would like this one."
"I'm sure he would." He agreed with her.
After locking up and letting Mr. Utoshi, who asked to be called by his first name; Ken they told him they would be back in about two weeks.
He nodded "I'll look after the place."
Tenten asked if she could keep the keychain frame attached to the key.
"Of course." He gave her the frame and wished them a safe trip. They checked out of the hotel room and began making their way back to Konoha.

Hinata was currently getting ready for her day back at work. Gaara was on speaker "Are you happy to go back?"
"Yes" she smiled "It'll keep me busy-"
"But not too busy right?" he sounded concern.
"I'll be able to text you doing by break."
"That's good to hear. I'm just worried about you stressing out."
"So what does you schedule look like?"
"Mostly paperwork, a patient here and there-"
"Nothing too crazy?"
She giggled "No-" as she told him "-the small things like handing out paper work calling them over, answering the phones, filing paperwork. No crazy hours either."
"Hold on-" she questioned what he was doing "Okay what are you hours?"
"10 am to 4pm. I'll have Wednesday and Saturday off and on Sunday's 12pm to 5 pm. Are you writing this down?" she laughed.
"Yes."
She grabbed her keys and took him off speaker phone "I'll be fine."
"Who is taking you?"
"Myself." She told him. She knew how to drive but with the baby bump people would always visit and take her places. She wasn't about to bug them for a ride back and forth. The drive was 10 minutes tops.
"Where is Naruto?"
"He's packing; Naruto will be leaving for a bit to the land of Demons." she said as she headed to the kitchen.
"Gaara, I'm making my lunch now, d-do you mind if I call you when I'm done?"
"That's fine."
Her lunch was simple. Some rice to go along with her beef and broccoli she had made yesterday for Hanabi. Speaking of which, she felt like she hasn't seen her in the past few weeks. She's been so busy with school and Konohamaru and working in the Yamanaka flower shop for she was barely home. Hanabi had promised her a sister date this Wednesday.
She began cutting a pear when she heard a knock at the door as she was making her way to open it, it opened and a smiling Naruto appeared "Hey Hinata."
"Naruto?" she sounded concern and surprised "Shouldn't you be packing?"
"I finished-" he smiled "I uh, I just remembered that today you were heading back to work and thought you wanted a ride." He scratched the back of his head as he smiled.
Hinata raised an eyebrow and smiled "Gaara called you didn't he."
"Yes he did." He told her "He sounded worried and well-" he smiled "I didn't have anything to do beside walking Kyuubi but he's at Kiba' place with Akamaru. So are you ready?"
Hinata called Gaara "Really Gaara."
"He told you?"
"Yes, I did. I can't lie to her!" Naruto yelled, even though Gaara was on speaker. They talked until Naruto pulled into the parking lot "I'll call you during my break and lunch okay?"
"Okay." He said "Good luck Hina. I love you."
She smiled "I love you too."
"Ditto." Naruto said.
"I'll pick you up, what time to do get off?"
"Four."
"I'll be here at 3:59." Hinata smiled and waved as she entered through the front door and headed towards the nurse station.
She met up with Tsunade and after reactivation her badge number she gave her a smile "You you'll be getting a fifteen minute break at 12. I want you eat something around 2 or 3, okay."
"Okay."
"If you need another break let me know, I'll have a nurse cover you."
"I don't want to bother you-"
"I'm your nurse too Hinata, remember that."
"I will let you know."
"Good luck." Tsunade told her as she gave her a thumbs up for good luck.
Noon come sooner than she expected. She had finished her paperwork by two and was currently in the café eating the pear slices she had cut up.
"How are you feeling?"
"Good. We had a code white-"
"Lost child?"
"Yes, I found her as I come out of the restroom. Poor thing got lost trying to look for the gift store."
Gaara smiled "Were you able to find her parents?"
"Yes, her mother was getting a minor surgery. She wanted to buy her a get-well card and made the wrong turn."
"I'm sure you helped her buy a card?"
"And flowers." Hinata' helpfulness and caring personality come so natural to her. He loved that about her.
She thought about other people's feelings before hers. He couldn't help but smile at that "I love that about you."
"Huh?" she sounded a bit caught off guard but she guessed is that she was blushing.
"Are you excited to tomorrow?"
"Yes. Will you be able to make it?"
"Of course."
She looked at clock on the wall "Oh, I have to go back now, I'll text you when I get home."
"Okay."
Hinata was now clocking out and 'eeped' as she felt hands cover her eyes "N-Naruto?"
"Wrong-" she heard the familiar voice, her heart raced and her cheeks flushed as she felt a light kiss on her cheek as the hands come off. She turned around to see the person who had been on her mind.
"Gaara!" she wrapped her arms around his neck "I wanted to surprise you." he told her as his arm naturally wrapped around her waist. He could feel the baby bump and his heart raced twice as hard.
"You did." She said as she looked at him. She gave him a light peck on the lips before she looked at beautiful purple orchid he had next to him.
"I was going to buy you a bouquet but-" she looked at him with teary eyes "It's beautiful, Gaara. Thank you."
He wiped the single tear that fell "Ready to go home?"
She nodded as he took her bang, while she held the orchid.

"Gaara!" Hanabi greeted him.
"What a surprise." Hiashi smiled as he shook his hand.
"I'll get some lemonade going-"
"No, I got it. You should rest."
"Thanks Hanabi." Gaara sat next to Hinata.
Besides asking how work was, they talked about tomorrow.
"I'll be doing it after work-"
"How are they taking the news?" Hiashi smiled.
"What news?" Gaara asked confused.
"Tsunade told-" she laughed "-pretty much everyone besides us that they wouldn't be able to be in the room as I get the ultra sound."
Gaara took a moment to process that "How did Naruto take it?"
"He almost cried." Hanabi laughed.
Hinata smiled "Besides you, Itachi, Neji and Tenten will be there as well. Tsunade made an exception for all of you." That was good to hear.
"Tsunade gave me the day off-" she looked at Gaara "-When will you be heading back?"
"That's good though isn't it?" Hanabi asked "You have Tuesday and Wednesday off."
"Thursday morning."
"So Konohamaru told me that Naruto is going away for a bit? Is it true?" Hinata nodded "Yes. He's still not sure for how long-"
"Konohamaru wasn't too happy to hear that." she sighed.
"He'll do him good."
The front door opened "We're back!" Hinata stood up and smiled "Tenten!" she ran up to her childish friend and hugged her "How are you feeling?"
"Fine." Tenten told her.
"Neji" Hinata gave Tenten a light squeeze before she let go and hugged Neji "How was Tanzaku town?"
"It was good. Pretty quiet."
"Take Naruto next time and you won't be saying that." Hanabi commented.
Everyone was now gathered around the table, Neji had ordered Pizza and Chinese.
"I haven't seen Itachi lately?" Hanabi mentioned.
"He's been staying at his place lately." Hinata smiled.
"Why?" Tenten asked. I mean last time she checked, this house had like 100 extra rooms.
Hinata smiled "You know something." Tenten looked at her "Does he have a roommate or something?"
"Huh?"
"That has to be it. Last time I remember you saying you don't want him to live alone. So he's not alone anymore, is he?" Tenten smiled "What's her name?"
"Ten-" Neji shook her head but couldn't help but smile "What?"
"She's a friend of m-mine. Her name is Kin." Hinata told them.
"I actually called her earlier to see if she wanted to join us for dinner but she said she was busy. I told her she was more than welcome to stop by tomorrow here after the ultra sound."
"I knew it!" the brown haired girl smiled "I bet she's cute too; a reason for Itachi not to be seen; besides missions and stuff. Are you playing matchmaker?" Tenten raised an eyebrow.
Which made Hinata blush and stutter "Huh? N-not really, I m-mean-" she felt Gaara hand on her back
"Maybe." She ended up giving in with a smile.
"Wouldn't be the first time?"
Hinata and she began to giggle. Everyone a bit confused.
"I'll do the dishes." Hanabi offered "They are disposables." Tenten said.
"Exactly." She said as she began picking them up and throwing them away.
After dinner, the girls were upstairs catching up. Same thing for the men, they were in the living room however, a beer in hand.
Hiashi sigh "These three months have passed by so fast." he sounded so happy "In a few months I'll be carrying my grandbaby."
Gaara looked at him "Do you hate me?"
"For what?" Hiashi asked with a smile "That's still a long way from now but as it gets closer, probably."
He chuckled. Neji knew they were talking about the fact that after the birth Hinata had chosen to live in Suna. Gaara smiled at that but looked at him "Thanks."

By the end of the night, they were all watching a movie downstairs. Hinata had fallen asleep in Gaara' arms and Tenten in Neji' arms and even thought Hanabi had said she wasn't tired, she had fallen sleep on her dad' arms.
"Looks like they've had a long day." each of them got up and made their way to the girls rooms.

Kin felt like she was in a warm cocoon. Opening her eyes she saw a crow staring back at her and then she remembered where she was; in Itachi' arms.
She gently pushed herself up "Itachi?" she whispered. His face looked so peaceful and handsome as he slept, her heart began to race again as he opened his eyes. His eyes were red, the most beautiful red she's ever seen "G-good morning."
He felt her still next to him; with his eyes still closed he heard her whisper his name. Her warm breath made him shiver. As he opened his eyes, he saw her and he could feel her heart against his chest. Her beat matched his.
"G-good morning" she smiled; this is how he wanted to wake up every day, with her next to his side, getting greeted by that beautiful smile of hers.
He didn't know what come over him as he rolled her, so that she was on her back and he was supporting his weight with his knees and hands. He saw her cheeks flush a bit as her chest rose up and down.
"I-" he didn't want to scare her. He's hurt her so many times now but…he let his head slowly fall, as she was just about to get off, he felt her arms around his neck.
Kin could see all of him (well most of him) and seeing those red eyes of him, looking down at her made her body hot in all the right places. Kin couldn't help but tremble at him. She saw his face slowly fall but she didn't want that. She wanted him.
She wrapped her arms around his neck and brought his lips towards her own. Within seconds she felt his body on top of hers. Enough to feel his member as she slightly spread her legs.

That was music to his ears. He made his way back to her sweet mouth. As he was about to do anything else, Okami came and jumped on the bed and made his way over to them as he pushed his away and laid his head on her chest.
Itachi chuckled at that "Protective aren't we?" Okami grunted at that and licked Kin on the chin.
Kin hugged her beloved dog "Good morning to you too." once Okami got off Eiji and Pancake come in, guess he'll have to close the door next time.
"Come on-" Kin got off the bed "Let's go potty." Okami jumped off and ran out the door, Eiji behind him, leaving a poor little happy Pancake fluff on the edge of the bed. Kin smiled and picked him up only to be surprised by a pair of arms around her waist, she felt a gentle kiss on the side of her neck "This isn't over."
That sent a shiver down her spine; she stood frozen for a bit before the barking made her snap back "I'll make breakfast." Itachi told her as he passed by her.
"I w-won't be eating here today-" she told him. Did he not remember Dosu was hurt? "I'm going to visit Dosu at the hospital." As magical as this morning was, she needed to get back to reality. And her reality was that Dosu was still in the hospital.
Reality meant she couldn't get too attached to Itachi. Eventually she would be moving back to her old place when Dosu got better. She just hadn't told him yet.
"I know-" he told her "I'm making it to-go." she smiled as she walked out with him, Pancake in her arms.
Opening the back door and set him down "Go peepee." She said before she closed the sliding glass door but was caught off guard as she turned around. Itachi now had his hands on the glass near her shoulders which caught her off guard.
"Itachi?"
"Do you have any idea what you're doing to me?"
"N-no? I'm sorry-" she apologized confusedly and scared. What did she do to him? Had she hurt him? Had she…she saw him smirk and shake his head "Do you know how hard I'm trying not to take you back to my bed-"
She felt her cheeks burning at that "I-Itachi-" he closed his eyes and laid his forehead on her shoulder.
Her hands had been against her side until he rested his head on her shoulder. His hair was loose and it tickled her chest, she smiled as she tucked some on his hairs behind his ear as he continued "It's becoming harder and harder to control myself around you-"
"Itachi-" she rested her hands on his warm cheeks as she moved his head up a bit. She closed her eyes and kissed him. He moaned as he quickly responded to her sudden kiss.
He picked her up, making her wrap her legs around her, brushing against the cut he let a sudden growl, which caused him to gently bit her bottom him. She whined in pain but she didn't care, it felt amazing.
Itachi' arms were now supporting her by her ass as he turned around. He walked towards the couch in the family room and sat down. Her knees rested on the couch as she kissing his jaw line.

"H-hello?"
"Kin?" It was Kakashi "You okay? You sound a bit out of breath?"
"Uh, I'm o-okay-"
"You sure?"
"Yes, what's up?"
"Okay? Something come up, I won't be able pick up and take you to the hospital. I know you left your car at my place-" he chuckled "-and I have the keys. Sorry."
"Oh? That's fine. Don't worry about it." She told him "Is everything okay?" she asked.
"Yes. I'll be able to meet up with you thereafter, I can take lunch. Let me know what you want okay?"
"Okay, sounds good. Thanks Kakashi." She hung up and smiled at her phone and took a moment to appreciate Itachi room. Simple but beautiful; of course the walls would be a light grey.
Two simple black and white photos hung on top of the black bed frame. Her heart began racing again as she remembered what happened yesterday.
The bed itself had felt like she had slept on a fluffy cloud and she hadn't noticed the luxury and super soft throw what was on bed, since she was in his arms, she also didn't need the pillows that looked like fluffy marshmallows.
The desk against the wall near the window was neat, a laptop and a few notebooks and books.
"Everything okay?" Kin turned around and nodded "Yeah."
"Want me to take you?"
"Oh-" she bit her inner cheek, she didn't want him to see her all nervous. She wanted to be with him but…he's like fog; covered her with such unknown feeling of what is ahead. She was scared but she kept walking forward.
He looked at her "Do you want me to take you?" he asked once more, he could tell she felt uneasy.
"No-" she didn't mean to sound so blunt "-I-I mean, you should rest. I'll only be out an hour or two." His eyes sadden but he smiled; which even looked sad. Did she hurt him? She knew he meant well but he was hurt. She didn't want him out with a fresh cut, although he would be in a hospital and…
"I understand." His voice sounded a bit hurt as he walked out.
"Itachi-" she said as she followed him only for him to close the game room on her "Just go."
That hurt but I guess she deserved that. She let the dogs back in and quickly changed and ran out the door. 'Just go' those words kept ringing in her head. She turned her phone, not wanting to talk to anyone.
Kin began making her 20 minute walk towards her old place. She took the small streets, avoiding the streets in case anyone saw her all sulky.
"Kin!" she heard her name being called and stopped near a small bakery. The trademark senbon in his mouth gave who it was "Hey?-" she looked up at him "G-Genma?"
"You okay? What's wrong?" he'd only met the girl once. She seems like a nice girl, she's been through a lot in these past few days so maybe was the reason for her sulkiness.
"I-I'm fine" she told him not noticing her sudden tears roll down her cheek.
"Woah-" he sounded concern and surprised "-hey-" god, he's a shinobi and never has he have to deal with a situation like this "-Kin-" he led her to his car out in the parking lot; guess Izumo and Kotetsu would have to wait on the bread and cookies. He unlocked the door and set the bread in the back seat
"What's wrong?"
"I just want to see Dosu-" at this point she knew the fog had thickened and she wouldn't be able to find Itachi.
"I'll take you-" she told her "I'm seeing one of my idiot friends there anyway." Kin wiped the tears and looked at him "He's fine, a broken rib that's all."
The ride there was quiet only soft rock music could be heard. She would have to apologize to Dosu for not bringing him a clean set of clothing.
Once they arrived to the hospital both asked for Dosu and Izumo, once they got their rooms Genma offered Kin a cinnamon roll "Thanks, Genma."
He nodded "Let me know if you want a ride back, I'll be in room 1318." Kin thanked him once more as they parted ways.
She slid the door open and gasped seeing Dosu finally awake.
"D-Dosu."
His eyes wondered towards her and smiled at her; he couldn't help but feel sad about her seeing him like this.
"Hey." She let fresh tears fall as she ran towards him and hugged him.
"I'm sorry-" His voice sounded rough and tired "Kinnara-" he let her cry "-I never meant-"
"I'm so glad you're okay." She told him as she hugged him tighter "I don't care what you did-" she really didn't, I mean she had her brother back.
"No-" she said she pulled back and looked at him; he was also crying "I never meant to put you in any danger. I'm the oldest; I should be the one protecting you. I'm so sorry."
Hearing that only made her tear up even more "I love you Dosu-" she hugged him once more "-I always will." She pulled back and frowned "But if you gamble again-" Dosu furrowed "I know-"
"I'll be the one kicking you ass." He wiped her tears and moved so that she could sit on the bed.
"How are you feeling?"
"Still hurts to cough but better."
After about 30 minutes, a nurse knocked "How are you feeling?"
"Better."
"Doctor Tsunade said you'd be able to leave tomorrow, since you just woke not too long ago, he also prescribed some medication for the pain? Will you be living alone?"
Kin shook her head at that question "He'll be staying with me. I'll look after my brother."
"That's good to hear." The nurse smiled "Well I'll let you two catch up; I'll be back with some food okay."
"Thank you." Kin smiled at the nurse as he excused herself and closed the door.
"How's Haku?" Kin frowned "I don't want to talk about him." after getting arrested she really hadn't thought about him, considering the fact that she was thinking about a tall, dark and mysterious man who at this point wasn't sure where they stood.
Dosu respected that and changed the subject "How's Okami?"
"He's fine-" she smiled "I got another puppy about 2 months back."
Of course she would "Really? What breed?"
"A Corgi. Her name is Pancake."
After talking and eating Kin had heard a knock. Her heart did a sudden jump, the door slid open to reveal Kakashi.
Dosu gulped surprisingly "Scarecrow?" he made his way over towards him "How are you feeling?"
"B-better." he was surprised by the sudden stutter. He knew Kakashi because of Kin, he had helped both of them out but gambling had pulled him back in and had lost contact with him, He'd only call Kin to get money when he needed it. At one point Kakashi had knocked some sense.
"Are we done with gambling?"
"Yes." He answered truthfully "I'm sorry for the trouble I've caused." He really was. Guess it took him almost losing his life to make him realize he has enough. Money isn't always everything.
"You should be but a few months of walking the dogs should give you something to do." He put a hand on his shoulder "But if I find out you're gambling again-" Dosu gulped "I'll make sure you end up in prison."
"I understand." He really did, he'd learn his lesson.
After about another hour, Dosu began to yawn.
"We'll let you rest."
Dosu yawn and nodded "Okay." It had been a long day, he was happy to see both Kakashi and his sister.
"I'll stop by tomorrow with a pair of clean clothes." Kin hugged and kiss Dosu on the forehead "Get some sleep."
"Thanks sis."
Kakashi nodded and let Kin out first "You had me worried, I tried to call you and it went to voicemail."
"Sorry, I didn't want to be interrupted while I was with Dosu."
"I stopped to visit Izumo and Genma told me he saw you upset. What happened?"
"Nothing."
"Kinnara?"
"I just want to go home." she told him.
It had to be Itachi "Will Itachi-"
"My place-" She interrupted "-I want to go back to my place." So he was right.
"You can sleep at my place."
"N-no, you only have one bed, I'll be fine."
"I'll take the couch."
Hinata had texted her about the ultra sound.
It'll be today at 5.
I'm so sorry Hinata but unfortunate I wont be able to make it. I don't feel well

As much as she would love to go, she knew Itachi would be there and last thing she wanted was to him.
Itachi was currently lying on his bed, after showering he couldn't show his face at the hospital. He closed the door in her face and told her to 'just go'. He felt like shit.
"I'm an idiot." He told himself as he heard the doorbell rang. Itachi pretty much ran to it and opened it "Ki-Kakashi?"
"Yo-"
"Is Kin with you?"
"No-" Kakashi told him flat out cold. What had he done to her to make her want to go back to her old apartment?
"Is she okay?"
"You tell me." Kakashi looked at him. he looked upset.
Itachi sighed "I screwed up."
"I bet you did. What happened?"
"This is between Kin and I-"
"You forget I saved Kin from a painful past. I'm starting to wonder if I have to save her from you?"
"No-" he knew Kakashi and Kin were close "-I want to talk to Kin."
"I'm afraid that can't happen…yet. I'm just here from her dogs."
Itachi looked at him with now confused and hurtful onyx black eyes "Where is she?"
"She needs time-" he simply told him "-I'm not going to ask what happened to make her want to move out but-" Itachi' mind went in so many directions and was still processing this, his eyes turning back to their normal onyx "-she'll need some time. I like you Itachi, so it's hard for me to say this-" his met his eyes "-but stay away from Kinnara."
Itachi' eyes quickly turned red once more hearing him say that, he couldn't stay away from her; he couldn't. He needed to apologize.
"I don't care what happened. All I know is that she's hurt."
Itachi let out a sigh "I understand." as he looked away.
"Just give her time."
Kakashi whistled "Okami, Pancake, come on. Let's go." they come from the direction of what he assumed was Kin' room (since he hadn't visited her while she had stayed here.)
Itachi closed the door and heard Eiji whine "I know I miss her too." he took out his phone and hesitated to call her but ended up not calling her. He guessed she had a lot on her mind just like he did right now.
He began getting ready for Hinata' ultra sound, he drove over to the hospital and saw Hiashi, Hanabi, Neji and his girlfriend Tenten, Gaara and an upset Naruto.
"Please! I'll be gone for a month or two!"
Tsunade grunted "Fine but remember this is a hospital so keep it down!"
"Says the one yelling" he said but smiled "Sweet I get to stay."
"You made it Itachi." Hinata hugged him of course he hugged her and was happy for him.
"I wouldn't miss this for the world."
"How is Kin? I heard she isn't feeling well?"
"She's resting now."
"That's good to hear." She smiled "I thought I would stop by after and drop off soup for her."
"I'm sure she'd like that." he told her, it would give an excuse to have Kin back and straighten things out.
Tsunade had gone to the room to get everything set up.
"Wait so how are we doing this?" Hanabi asked "Are we all just going to be cramped in the room?"
"No-" Tsunade said making her way back "I've set up the T.V in the next room so you'd be able to see the ultrasound."
"Sweet." Naruto said as he made his way towards the room, Hanabi right behind him.
"You nervous?"
Hinata shook his head "Excited is more like it."
"Hinata-" Tsunade called her "-let's get you ready." Itachi gave her one last hug and a kissed the crown of the head before he let her go.
Itachi walked over towards Neji, since Tenten pretty much was dragged by Hanabi.
"How is she doing?"
"Better but sometimes it's still hard for her-" Neji admitted that. "-but at the end of the day-" he saw his eyes brighten a bit "I'm there for her to support her and give her a shoulder to cry on and buy her ice cream after a rough day or night."
Itachi couldn't help but think about Kin, as soon as he was about to ask him something they heard Hiashi call them.
They walked into the room and saw a black T.V
"Where is Gaara?" Hanabi asked.
"With Hinata." Hiashi told her.
Hinata was now lying on the table with her belly exposed and her cheeks were flushed "Did you eat anything?" Tsunade asked "N-no."
Gaara held her hand as she applied the jelly and began to gently scan her belly "We have a heartbeat."
Hinata' smiled seeing a plum size image "Found the baby." Gaara' gaze went from Hinata' flushed face to the screen. The image was small but he could make out the small baby figure.
"Wow-" Gaara was breathless "Beautiful isn't it?" Tsunade said, she could only imagine the other room with a loud Naruto.
"It's so tiny!" Hanabi squealed "So cute!" Naruto was so caught up in the moment that he forgot to breath for a minute or so "Wow-"
Hiashi couldn't help but tear up as she simply smiled.
Tenten was crying in Neji arms "I'm so happy." Neji felt proud seeing the ultrasound and as much as he didn't want to cry…one, just one manage to escape.
Itachi felt empty only because he knew the truth behind Sasuke mission and he was missing this. The other reason was because he didn't have Kin to share the moment.

The ultra sound was quick. Hinata was now dressed and was happy to hold four pictures of the ultrasound. After getting dressed she along with Gaara and Tsunade headed to the other room.
Hiashi smiled with open arms "I'm so happy for you honey." Hinata smiled at him.
"So what's the sex of the baby?" Naruto asked.
"Considering you're only 3 months and the fetus is still growing it'll be hard to tell but in two months I'd be able to see."
"What?" Naruto asked.
"I did take a blood test so I'll know that way but Hinata wants it to be a surprise so my mouth is zipped."
Hinata still in her father's arms smiled "I won't throw the party without you."
Gaara still couldn't believe it. This was such a breathtaking moment and he was part of it. He felt a warm hand on his "Want to get something to eat?" right she hadn't eaten "Of course."
Kiba had arranged a small party for Hinata since they weren't allowed in the hospital. I mean it would only be him and his family and Chouji and his family and…okay maybe it might be too many people…but still.
Gaara knew about the party so after stopping to get some mochi ice cream they stopped at Kiba' place.
Hinata was greeted by hugs and smiles "Do you have pictures?" Ino asked with a little squeal. Hinata nodded as she took out the four pictures and handed one to Ino, one to Chouji, one to Hana and the other one to Sai; which they passed around.
Hinata smiled seeing everyone she cared about together "Thank you for this Kiba-" she hugged him and looked up at him "-this is amazing."
Kiba kissed the top of her head and smiled "We're all so happy for you and since we couldn't all go-"
"Drop it Kiba, there were just too many of you." Tsunade said as she passed by him "You did a good job thought here." she smiled at him.
Hinata still in his arm he said "Want me to get you something to eat?"
"A burger sounds good."
"Coming right up." he smiled as Gaara took her into an embrace. Everyone was now sitting, eating and talking among each other. The night was still young when she decided to check on Kin.
"How are you feeling?"
"B-better, thanks. I loved the pictures, I'm so happy for you."
"I thought maybe if you're a bit better-" she bit her lips "-maybe you could stop by Kiba' place-"
She sounded happy and last thing she wanted to do was upset her "Maybe for an hour or two."
"I'll send you the address and you can bring Okami and Pancake, all the animals are gathered here and playing. Even Sai and Shin' pet rats." She sounded so happy.
"Okay-" Kin said with a laugh "I'll see you soon."
"Going out?" Kakashi asked.
"For a bit-" she smiled "Care to come?"
"I don't know-" she saw him reading the newest Icha Icha Paradice book.
"I'll spoil the ending if you don't come." She threatened.
"Fine."
Hinata was now sitting in between Gaara' legs, a blanket over her, since it began to get chilly; Ino was happily suggesting ideas for the party. Sakura seemed a bit uncomfortable since Naruto was near by talking to Kiba and Chouji.
"We'll be more than happy to help so don't be afraid to ask."
"Thank you." a familiar black German Shepard wagged over towards her "Hey, Okami!" she smiled as she looked up to see Kin and Kakashi making their way over. She stood up as Gaara put the blanket over her shoulders but held the blanket as it slid while she hugged Kin only to put it back on "I'm so glad you made it?"
"Sorry I couldn't make it earlier-" Kin told her only to have Hinata smile at her "I'm just glad you're feeling better."
"The party turned out great." Kin said as she looked around but subconsciously she was looking for Itachi.
"Kiba and the rest planned it." Hinata smiled feeling the back hug from Gaara to keep her warm.
"Are you hungry?" Kin shook her head "I'm okay, thanks."
"Want something to drink?"
"A beer, please." Kin kindly told him. Gaara lightly kissed Hinata before he made his way over to the cooler.
Itachi saw the girl who had been on his mind for the past 6 hours. He made his way over only for Kakashi look at him "Did you eat anything?" he knew he was preventing him from going over to her.
"Kakashi!" the silver haired man looked back to see a loud blue eyed and blonde walk over to him "What a nice surprise."
Kakashi looked back only to see Itachi gone "Naruto-" he couldn't help but growl.
"You okay?" Hinata could see Kin a bit tense "Huh? Um, yeah-" she lied "-just a long day-" she looked down as Gaara come towards them with Itachi. Gaara handed her the beer "Thanks." She grabbed the bear but hesitated to take a sip since he was looking at her.
Hinata looked at Itachi and Kin. Something was up so she said "Gaara w-would you go with me inside to see if Hana has a sweater I can borrow?"
He nodded, knowing Hinata she wanted to give them some privacy "Excuse us." She said with a smile, leaving Itachi and Kin alone.
She didn't say anything as she took a sip of the beer and excused herself only to fell his hand on her forearm "Can we talk?"
Kin didn't look at him. Why couldn't she? I mean, he had made it clear earlier that…
"I'm sorry." Itachi' voice sounded so sincere, so hurt as he looked at her "I never meant to tell you to leave. I-" he took the bear away from him. He didn't want her to drink because of him "-never meant to hurt you."
"But you did-" she finally found herself say something to him. It was simple but the truth.
Hearing that made his heart sink "- but it also made me realize that staying there was temporarily-" her voice was full of hurt and sadness "Dosu is awake, just so you know."
That was great news…
"He'll need someone to take care of him-" he couldn't let her finish her sentence but she did before he could say anything "-so I'll be moving back to my place with him."
Itachi couldn't help but grip on the bottle.
"Kinnara-"
"Don't-" she took the bottle back from him "-just don't." she wasn't about to let him see her all broken and confused over him. Kin took a chug of the beer and walked over to the front gate towards Kakashi' car; again only to be stopped by Itachi, only this time he led her around the front gate.
"Let go-" she told him as Itachi took the beer away from her and threw it. Kin eyes began to water "I can't do this anymore." she took a step back only to feel the metal door behind her back.
Itachi walked over towards her and rested a hand against the cool white metal door "I can't go back to a place where I-" her teary eyes met his "-feel so confused, vulnerable and scared of what's happening."
"You mean between us?" Kin didn't respond but with tears rolling down her face she nodded. Itachi heart raced, just knowing that made him want to hug and kiss her but he didn't want to scare her.
This was his entire fault. He cares about her, he wants to protect her and wants to make every day and night as amazing as she deserves.
"I just want to take care of Dosu." She told him with a little cry.
"Is that all you want?"
She looked down, tears still falling she nodded "Yes." She lied. She wanted him to hold her, to be told that he was here for her. Pushing him away was what was best for her; she needed to take care of Dosu.
"Why do you lie to me?" Kin felt his hand brush against her shoulder; a sudden chill ran down her entire body.
"I care about you Kin-" he really did "-I care about you in a level that scares me too, but I'm thrilled to experience all of this feelings with you."
His hand gently made its way down her shoulder to her elbow and gently rest on her soft and warm waist. Her breath was suddenly cut short "I don't want to lose you-"
Kin now rested her hands against his chest, she should have pushed him but she didn't, feeling his warmth was something she missed.
Both his hands now gently rested on her waist as he leaned in. His forehead rested against hers and his eyes began to close as hers did too; she sucked in a breath as he said "I'm sorry I told you to leave-" he felt the tip of her nose "When in reality I wanted you to stay." His lips gently brushed hers.
Kin' body reacted to his grip on her waist to his gentleness, to the slight brushing of his lips against hers to everything he was saying. He sounded so sincere; so true to his words.
"Why?" she questioned him. Why would he want her to stay? He knew that at one point she would move back. Having feelings for him was never the plan. There was really never a plan thought. He helped her out in a tough situation and for that she was beyond grateful for that.
"Because you make everything better." she really did, never in his life did he think waking up to the smell of burnt eggs would make him laugh and feel at home.
(This was the fourth day staying there, she had put some eggs to cook but got distracted with Pancake who was running with a squeaky toy, she didn't want her to wake Itachi up.)
"H-how?"
"You make the house feel like a home again." Kin let her hands snake around his neck as she pulled him into a kiss.
This is what he'd been craving; her lips, her touch. She tasted like cherry and beer, a combination that he never thought he would like.
He tasted like tequila and lime. The chills increased as his hands hugged her waist, as one hand found its way to the curve of her ass.
They both needed air "Please come back home." he told her as embraced her.
She wanted to but his brother "Dosu needs me." she couldn't and wouldn't let his brother live alone especially now.
"And I need you, Kinnara." she felt fresh tears fall just hearing him say that. She looked at up at him to see his mysterious eyes "-I put a bed in the game room so Dosu can stay there." Kin looked at him and kissed him, not only because she needed and wanted to but because he deserved it. He's done so much for her and now Dosu.
"With one condition-" she told him.

Hinata was now inside with one of Kiba' new hoodies on "Is this one new?"
"Yep, I go it when Tamaki took all my sweaters and I was freezing." Tamaki hit his forearm as he said that "Kiba!"
Kiba grinned as he wrapped an arm around him "What? It's true babe." Tamaki rolled her eyes out and covered his mouth as he tried to kiss her. Only to have the Hinata, Gaara, Hana and Iruka laugh.

He'd kept close tabs on people in the village; it was his way to know what was going on. Dan knew Sasuke would want to know too but certain things he'd keep from him; for the mission. It's been a little over 3 months and he now had Hinata off his mind. He still had a soft spot for Keiji but that wouldn't change. He'd learned the names of the people close to Hinata and Tsunade.
Kiba was getting all lovey dovey with a certain cat lover named Tamaki. Although out of it and moody do to the fact that his father was back in Konoha and he had confronted his mother and well that didn't go so well.
That included Hana and her boyfriend Iruka. She had been staying at his place since it was over a week that Roukan Inuzuka had been back.
Shino; he was just looking for bugs and had registered to become a teacher like Iruka. Still no girlfriend and even if he had one, he was keeping it a secret even he didn't know.
Naruto had left the village to the land of Demons.
Sakura was still broken over the breakup and was just being a little odd towards Hinata.
Ino was running the flower and spending a lot of time with the ex-black-ops Sai.
Shin just drew; a lot. Wanting to get the okay from the pink haired girl but then again she was too cought up with her mistake she didn't see that.
Chouji was getting friendlier with a kunoichi from the Hidden Cloud Village, her name is Kurai.
Shikamaru was back and forth from Konoha to Suna for the hot tempered Temari.
Lee…he…all he did was exercise and exercise and spend a lot of time over at Gai', they sighned up for a marathon.
Neji and Tenten were back and forth from Tanzaku town for some inheritance from Tenten late mother Kiyoko.
Kankuro was hitting on Kurai' sister Samui; she didn't seem interested or was playing hard to get.
Tsunade had moved in with Jiraya. Seeing her happy was all he's ever wanted…so why did it hurt?
Dan/Hiro was currently making his way iver to the open field where he knew he would find Sasuke. He was resting under a large oak tree with his eyes closed.
"Is the snake back?"
"No." it was quiet "Sasuke-"
"Hm?"
"Did you even wonder where how your life would have been if you hadn't been signed this mission?" he saw Sasuke' red eyes open and look at him "Every night."
