Eddy, we need to talk. Edd tapped the send button before burying his face into his knees. All that had happened within the last couple days had drained him to the point of exhaustion. Kevin had first given him false hope and a sense of companionship. Then, his encounter with Coach Ross left him feeling overwhelmed but had a sense of closure. After all of that, he had completely become vulnerable and petrified because he no longer had his hat sitting atop his head. Him and Eddy are not on speaking terms at the moment, and this is not at all what he wanted because now Eddy is dealing with his dysfunctional family entirely alone.

To top everything off, he has conflicted feelings on what Kevin and Ed's relationship is. They seem to hate each other, but they're so close that, that hatred could be an expression of….of, "Love."

It stung for him to say it out loud. It shouldn't hurt him because Ed was able to choose whomever he wanted to be with, and it's not like Edd ever stated that Kevin was off limits. He barely had the audacity to bring himself to even think that he liked Kevin much less tell his friends about it…much less Ed because he was the one that always looked up to Edd…Well, figuratively not literally.

If Kevin and Ed were honestly in some sort of higher relationship than just camaraderie, then Edd was just going to have to man up and accept that fact. He had always known that Kevin was someone who was surrounded by people constantly and as for Edd, well, he was just an individual who had nothing going for him besides being utterly smart. Maybe he should have just skipped some grades and already be halfway through college instead of feeling such conflicted emotions overwhelm him.

Ah, that's right. How could Kevin and Ed be an item when Kevin and Nazz are absolutely inseparable? They were always the center of attention. Wherever Kevin was, Nazz was sure to follow. Which had Edd questioning slightly…where was she…yesterday? His hands clutched his legs tightly thinking about all of this. It made his brain hurt, and he just wanted to cry.

His brows knitted together as he clenched his teeth tightly. His tense body didn't ease up even when his loose hair tickled against his face gently causing his hands to quiver momentarily before clutching back onto his legs powerfully. The ticking bomb within his head was close to exploding, but he was trying to resist every urge to rupture through his skull.

Suddenly, the Rocket Alarm Clock soared 3 inches into the air before slowly descending back down. The magnetic field had lifted it just enough for it to leave the night stand before gravity took over making it trickle back down. The sound emitting from it sounded like a pure blast off and it slowly faded out. Edd lifted up automatically with his eyes bulging wide.

"My God," He grabbed onto his creation, "I-It actually worked."

Yes, this was exactly what he needed to lift his spirits. His invention was showing signs of major improvement and it even appeared to be feasible. His eyes roamed the contraption trying to see the improvements that could be made before landing on the time. Yeah, that was right. He didn't get much sleep last night and it was already 6 A.M. A yawn gave way from his mouth, and he covered it immediately setting the achievement down.

He scratched the back of his neck while stretching widely. Scoping out his room, his eyes landed on his laptop. Edd stepped over to it before sitting down. He opened it up letting the sound roar into the silent room. While the screen was loading, he beat lightly into each of his shoulders thinking about what Coach Ross said that really caught his attention; Demand your right as an individual. Make mistakes, talk to him directly. The screen finally lit up just where he had left it. He refreshed the page reiterating the responses once more before deciding that all of them were right.

If Eddy didn't want him in his private affairs, he wouldn't have told him to begin with. With that being said, he shouldn't force Eddy to talk about all of his problems. Most times, being silent but also being there can be much more effective than having an opinion but not actually being present and a daily friend in someone's life. As for Eddy and Edd's relationship, they've been in each other's lives for so long that Eddy feels more like a brother than anything and if Edd knows anything about brother's that even though they may fight, in the end, they will always forgive and be next to one another at the end of the day.

Edd knew in his heart what he wanted to do, but it was gathering the courage to do it that was the hard part. Finally sitting back in the chair and throwing his head backwards so the world was upside down to him, he realized just how much stupidity revolved around him. Maybe he wasn't actually smart, maybe he was just so dumb that everyone thought he was smart. He snickered at his thoughts before bursting out of the chair and bounding through the door. He stomped down the stairs and made his way into the kitchen. He opened the fridge and grabbed his Organic Yogurt and bottle of water.

He grabbed a spoon from within a drawer and tore open the Yogurt immediately smelling the sweet and sour smell rise into his nose making his mouth water. He plopped a spoonful into the Yogurt before plopping it into his mouth. He hummed in approval before eating it all up and then guzzling down as much water as possible. His lungs finally filled with air before he decisively made the decision to go on a run.

After all of his basic morning routines; Combing his hair, brushing his teeth, putting lotion on his body, and acquiring new clothes, he stood by the door putting his running shoes on. After all the stretching he did earlier, he decided just to go around the block one good time before coming back home. By that time, everyone should be up in the neighborhood and that should include Eddy. He opened the door quickly before breaking through his sidewalk onto the main road. He started off at a slow pace before picking up. The morning dew plastered the grass next to him, the birds chirped above him cheerfully and the small animals plucked at the soil beneath him while the slow wind forced his hair in all different directions.

It reminded him just how much he hated his hair. Always too long, too oily, and devastatingly indecisive. The remembrance almost had him cursing at the lack of formality, but he faired on down the street rounding into a circle. Yes, the cul-de-sac was one giant circle and it was nice to run its full potential, but it was also exhausting. He came to his first stop gasping for air. Running always took his mind off of the turmoil surrounding him, but he knew that it also had him charged and ready to go for anything that happened throughout his day. Even though his lungs burned, and his knees felt heavy, he knew he needed to continue so he did just that.

By the time he had completely rounded the block, the sun was coming over the horizon and sweat dribbled into the hem of his shirt dampening it. He had both of his hands on each knee supporting himself. Edd was gasping for air, but peered up at the gorgeous scene. The sun was changing the color of the sky from pink to purple, violet to orange, and then orange into the bright yellow. It was so elegant, and he stood straight watching all the colors swarm the sky.

"Maybe I should do this more often," He thought quietly to himself.

He walked towards his house catching his breath from his run. His hand instinctively went through his hair brushing it out of his face. This was exactly what he needed to do to set his mind straight, though. No matter how many times he faced difficulties, running always seemed to soothe his heart. As he stepped onto his pathway towards the door to his house, he got an uneasy feeling.

Edd quickly turned around nearly buckling over at the sight. His eyes widened as he watched from across the street, a familiar body stood watching him intently. Their intense glaring and extreme frown were the least of Edd's problems when his eyes scanned down without his approval first, but he couldn't help it. The defined chest and muscular build had him staring for far too long. The torso ended while the figures pants were held on barely at the sign of two bones poking out right above his—

With an expeditious twist, Edd ran up his steps and slammed the door open and closed before falling down onto the ground with his legs spread out and a hand over his heart. It was beating so briskly that it was numbing his body. Why? Why did Kevin have to be out there looking like that? It only fed to Edd's fantasies, it catered to his undesirable needs, and it made him question why he was even born a man. If he were a girl, things could be different. Edd could have even a small chance at being—No, he would have a pretty decent chance at having a relationship with…with Kevin.

He sat there steadily watching as the shadows in the room changed pace as the sun started rising further and further into the sky. How Edd wished he could rise higher instead of being emotional and rejected. Why did he feel so much loss even though he knew that this was only a passing in his life? There were so many whys while he sat there contemplating what he wanted to do on this fine Saturday.

Finally, stepping up off the ground, he brushed himself off and made his way up the stairs with uncertainty settling into his heart. Pressing open the door, he heard the small creak of it as it opened and he scanned his lonely room once more. Landing his eyes on his phone, he saw it flash green over and over again. That meant he had a text, and he rushed over to it before pouncing on his bed. He opened his phone pressing to open the text.

Well whatever meet me at my house Eddy had messaged back and it warmed Edd's heart even if it was only momentarily. Yes, he still had his friends and that was all he needed in this world. He hurried around the room gathering his things before bursting back downstairs and opening the door to his house. There was no time to waste before going to see Eddy. He stopped momentarily as if he expected to see Kevin still standing on his porch across the street, but no one was there and Edd was thankful but the sight made him crave for more.

Ed grabbed Kevin by his football shirt, "Dammit, why do you always screw everything up?!"

The orange haired male threw his hand off, "I'm so sick of you blaming me for everything! Don'tcha understand that he wants me, not you?"

"If he wanted you, then why haven't you made any advancements on him," Ed spit out.

Kevin hesitated before responding, "Fine, you want me to take him away faster, then so be it! And what the fuck did I say about touching me!?"

Ed pressed his face closer as did Kevin, "Go ahead and try to take D-D away from me, but you won't succeed."

"Alright, alright," The head coach pushed them away from one another, "Boys, seriously."

Ed stepped back and tsked harshly, "Keep your hands off of him, Kevin."

Grunting, Kevin rolled his eyes before smirking, "No can do. This body is all his for the taking."

"Don't make me," Ed stalked forward only to be stopped by the coach.

"Guys, get back on the field and stop whatever stupid quarrel this is," The coach huffed out before watching as the two stomped out onto the field once more, "Man, what am I gonna do with those two."

Yeah, Coach, what are you gonna do with them? 'Cause they are seriously head over heels in love and it's such a pitiful sight. Anyway, thanks for reading and please don't forget to leave me a comment! I love, love, love comments! :D
