"Alright….. I'm ready." I said.
"Yeah. Go down to the Coffee Shop and ask her out!"
"Wish me luck." I say nervously. "Let's hope I won't need it."
"Yeah, let's hope." Rigby says.
As I'm making my way to the coffee shop I think to myself about what I'm going to do and what will happen if she says no. No, you can't afford to think like that. She has to say yes. C'mon you had such a good time last night. She better have a real good reason not to date you.
Honestly, I think I'm not that good enough for her. But who knows, maybe she will like me. But what if she does go out with me and break up with me. I can't be negative and screw this up like an idiot who can't talk to girls. Crap…. That's me.
When I get to the coffee shop I don't walk in. I stare through the window and I see Margaret smiling, laughing. Maybe I caught her on a good day. Hopefully… just hopefully.
I walk in. She immediately greets me.
"Hey Mordecai!"
"Hey Margaret! How's it goin'?"
"Fine. I had a lot of fun last week."
"Really? I'm glad you did. So did I."
This was my chance… now or never.
"So… uh I was thinking if maybe-"
"Oh, have you met my boyfriend, Chase?"
"Wha?" My face must've been weird or my mouth must've been wide open because Margaret looked at me funny. Like she knew something was wrong with me.
"Mordecai? Are you okay?"
I quickly run out of the coffee shop, billions of things running through my mind. I was filled with anger and frustration. What BULL CRAP! HOW DOES SHE DO THAT! WHY? WHY? WHY?
I run into the house, into my room, and bury my face into a pillow.
"Mordecai! How'd it go?"
"Bad. She got a boyfriend."
"I knew it! Good job, man!"
"Dude, it isn't me."
"Wow…"
