Chapter Fourteen - Survival
It's natural to want to survive.
It's instinct and drive.
Determination and skill
That allows someone to live on.
Survival of the fittest.
The most cunning.
The most ruthless.
I can't fault a creature for the desire.
But I am not going to condone their brutality either.
My job is to protect the innocents from what lurks in the shadows.
My duty to save them.
To kill whatever is looking to kill us.
It's nature.
To defend your own.
I'm good at my job.
Our planet, our rules.
Our justice and our right
To defend ourselves from all other creatures.
