Hi anyone that is reading this. I am sorry that this has taken so long to update. I have just moved to Canada, so I have been a tad bit preoccupied for the last month or so. Anyway enjoy and please review.
This tour down in Australia was amazing, and she had learnt so much about the different policing style and there was so much that could be transferred across to the system back in the United Kingdom. Nonetheless three weeks was a long time to be away from your loved one.
It seemed forever since that day in the airport where they had hugged goodbye, aware of the other officers watching with keen interest at the latest unusual couple.
Diane tossed to her other side in bed sighing, it was going to be a long night when suddenly the phone rang.
"Diane Noble" she answered as she picked up the phone.
"Did I wake you?"
"No, Nikki I couldn't sleep"
"How are you?" The concern evident in the callers voice.
"Good now that I can hear you."
After a short while the conversation finished, Diane laid back down in her bed, sleep coming easily now. As now she knew that no matter how far geographically Nikki was from her, they were always close to each other.
