Angel
To Diane, it was just another day. Well, not quite a normal day, but finding a lost girl wasn't something that never happened. It wasn't unusual it happened, and most of the time, like today, they got the child back safe and sound.
Yet, to that little girl, this lady police officer with whom she could barley communicate was her saviour. She was the kind women who found her and put her back in the arms of her mum. This police officer who had signed her name as Diane had saved her from the scary person. No matter what others would say in the future, Grace was always going to think of the police as amazing. She would always think of this woman as an angel – because really, for her, she was.
As the little girl signed 'thank you' in BSL Diane allowed a smile to grace her face. So often they were hated in this job, but here was a little girl who looked up to her, admired her.
