Furmingbia looked around, puzzled, "Um… Hello?"
Abbess Germaine asked in a small voice. "where did you get that sword, my child?"
The maid looked at her sword. Deadly icy metal with a three-quarter bloodline, running down to the hilt of black leather and silver, set into the end was a single large pommel stone. On the sword was some strange yet beautiful carvings.
"This…? Oh…It was given to me by a badger Lord."
"Which one?"
"Old Lord Boar the Wild. Why?"
Martin took out his own sword and placed it on the table, next to Furmingbia's.
"Oh." Furmingbia looked at it carefully. "Let me guess, made of metal from a falling star?" She looked at Marin's nod and tapped her sword. "Mine too. The pommel stone is the only thing different, I suppose."
She pointed to the blue sapphire that was set into the end of the sword. Abbess Germaine folded her paws into her habit sleeves. "Mayhap you wouldn't mind telling us about you?"
Furmingbia sighed and tapped the side of her head reflectively. "Let's see, where to begin…"
She looked at the Redwallers surrounding her and said slowly. "Well, see, my name is Furmingbia… Don't know what to say next…"
Marin stared at her. "You look familiar."
Furmingbia looked intrigued, "How?"
"… Rose…?"
Hurray for more cliffhangers! I know this is short, but hey, the next chapter will be very, very long. And today is Sunday, I haven't received any more reviews so… still the same one update per day. Oh well. I'll give you guys another chance later! Ciao for now!
