Sorry peoplez, I was in Denver, Japan, and now China. And by the way, Guest, I came up with Furmingbia because I love Redwall. And even before I read my second book I already made a mental fanfic. Now to put it to words…

My Rose of Old Redwall

Chapter 9: Vermin

~There are vermin because there are good creatures. If there aren't evil and vile beings, what is the use for us goodbeasts?~

~Unknown

Flower waited until the vermin were close, then gently blew a poisoned spike at one. Grunting, the rat pulled it out. "Huh, got stuck by one o' those thorny things."

His partner spat at a passing ant. "Yew shoulda be more careful next time, mate, iffen ya made a noise ol' lord Scida woulda paid put to ye."

Flower smiled and shot one at the rat's partner. Ignoring the ferret's grunt of pain and the conversation between him and his partner, the mousemaid moved on to another pair, shooting them with poisoned thorns.

This continued until she used up all her thorns, and she already shot about four score out of the thirty score vermin.

Slipping away quietly, she went home for more thorns.

"Ah, welcome back my little warrior. What took you so long?" Urran Voh hugged his daughter. Flower, after hugging her dad back, went to fetch more thorns—a few thousands of them.

"Father. There are some thirty score vermin coming our way. I took care of four score but that was it. I'm going out again."

Urran's eyebrows creased with worry. "But are you sure it's safe, my flower? We don't know if all will be well against these terrifying odds."

Flower stowed the thorns in her pocket cooly. "Father. I've gone against tighter corners before. I know I have never seen numbers like these…"

"Then don't go, dear, you'll be safe here!" Aryah cried, her eyes full of worry. Flower took her mother's paws in her own small ones. "Mother, the evil vermin are heading our way. We cannot stop them from reaching here without force. We have no Warriors here. And I can fight without being seen by them. Don't worry, Mother, I have to do this, to save all of Noonvale!"

Aryah sighed, frustrated. She loathed the thought to have her daughter sent against these terrifying odds, but she knew Noonvale will surely fall if the vermin does reach here. Sure, it's a hidden valley, but what can't an army of over twenty-six score soldiers do?

Flower stared strongly into her mother's eyes. "Mother, trust me. I can do this."

Giving off a final sigh, Aryah nodded quietly to Urran.

Flower was afraid.

Not for herself or her life, but for everything she'll leave behind.

For a second life flashed through her head as she raced quietly, jumping from tree to tree, to find the vermin ranks: Peaceful villagers strolling about on a sunny afternoon, elders smiling at her when she brought them flowers and small treats she made, laughing with her friends at her failed attempts, singing songs on top of tall hills under a full moon, eating baked apples in front of a campfire with her family, ah, her family… alas, Brome had another tantrum and wandered off from home. Worried, Rose and the trusty mole Grumm set off to find him. Sighing, Flower tried to empty her mind. This was the right thing to do. But what will Brome and Rose feel like when they return and she wasn't there….?

Flower was, quite literally, knocked off her paws when the stink of the enemy troops, who are currently polishing their blades, reached her.

"Ugh… It's called a bath, stinky idiots…" Furmingbia loaded her blowpipe and got in closer.

"Yoohoo! Stinky-faced mangled-furred crooked-tailed ugly-mugged bungled-pawed onion bums! You don't need to polish those weapons, 'cause your stink is enough to kill!" Flower yelled, making sure to keep her voice gruff and herself hidden. Shooting a few dozen thorns at the enemies to rouse them, she quickly scurried to another place and continued shooting while the surprised vermin scrambled to see who is attacking them.

"Yah! Go crying back to your poopy mamas and tell them that you were naughty and got spanked you snotty-snouted flea-ridden googly-eyed lily-livered black-hearted dirty-mouthed scrambled-brained scum!"

Laughing inwardly at the rats', stoats', ferrets', weasel', foxes', and ermines' reactions, the mousemaid began scurrying back and forth to shoot.

And that was a short chapter. Sorry. But it's late. And I wanna sleep. But thanks for waiting! I won't be able to update once per day now… But I'll try. And once I get back to America I can. Oh and Cia has something to say.

Cia: Hi peoplez, I'm from another fanfic. And yes the author's note is where universes mix and I can come here. I'm from Jen's fanfic in Hetalia. I'm here to tell you about Hetalia. My friend Amy can help.

Amy: So, Hetalia is a series of short stories in which the characters are actually countries. There's America, England, Canada, Italy, Romano, Germany, Finland, Russia, China, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Korea, several other countries, and *shudders* France…. *shudders*. What's wrong? You ask. You'll kinda have to find out in Hetalia. And in mostly every fanfic. *shudders again*

Cia: It's okay… *pat pat*

Russa: I actually don't get what's wrong… But yes I'm from the fan fiction and so I'm not the squirrel.

Cia: So. We ran off topic…

Russa: Read Hetalia or die, da?

Amy: Russa… Don't scare the readers… If they die they can't read Hetalia…

Jen: Whoa, guys, slow down. What?

Amy: Never mind…

Jo: That's why you don't mess up universes!

Jen: Jo… You're still not in this story…

Jo: Like what happened in So There Was Two?

Jen: But dude, in that Jay's your character… in here? No you don't read Redwall.

Jo: So? I will have a character soon.

Jay: She has a point there. Hello peoplez I'm Jo's character in the Hetalia fanfic: So There Was Two.

Furmingbia: I won't be surprised if Jo introduces FMA next.

Jen: Yeah… So basically read Hetalia. That's all. I have no idea why you guys are here, but time to go back.

Furmingbia: Well I just got here so.

Jo: Says who? You were killing a whole bunch of vermin earlier.

Jay: She still has a point there.

Jen: That was the third time, Jay, once in Hetalia and twice here.

Jay: So? It's true.

Jo: She has a point there.

Amy: Yeah…

Jen: Where's Emmaile?

Emmaile:…

Jen: Oh okay. Whatever. Sorry peoplez this is random. Bye!

Jo: See ya!

p.s. REVIEW AND TELL ME WHAT ANIMAL YOU THINK JO"S CHARACTER WILL BE!
