Kiba yawned as he stared at his computer.
It was already five in the afternoon. Tomorrow was Saturday so that meant a bum-all-you-want day for the young man.
And to think that he was looking forward for his two days off.
He was thinking of cooking tomorrow but much to his stomach dismay, he wasn't really in the mood to eat anything right now other than noodles.
Kiba wanted ramen. Now. Period.
He watched his coworkers empty their seats one by one, a few of them called him, asking if he wanted to come along for a few drinks but he just politely said no.
"I have a dog to feed, sorry," he said.
Ramen was all he could think about right now.
Darn. He had to call his friend, then.
He was kind of meticulous when it comes to food contrary to what other people say and think about him.
And if he wanted a ramen, it had to be his ramen.
And I just annoyed him last month! I wish the moron wouldn't remember what I said. He was drunk, too, after all. He flicked his tongue as he dialed a number and waited for his voice.
"Hello?"
Kiba gulped, "My friend!" he shouted on the phone as he tried to sound so jovial. It almost broke his heart to hear himself use that kind of tone. "Are you busy right now? Of course you are not! How about I go there and we eat some of your ramen, eh? What do you think?"
"How about I go there and kill you, eh?"
Kiba sweat dropped. Damn, he remembered! "Don't be like that, man... I'm so hungry right now I could eat you whole."
"Do I sound like I give a fuck about your predicament right now?"
"You are so cruel, man!"
"Anything else, sir?"
Kiba bit his lips. He was very desperate right now. He was so hungry and he didn't want to eat anything other than ramen! He could easily search for another restaurant that served ramen, yes, but tell that to his stomach.
asdfghjkl.
Yes. The answer was no.
"Alright! Alright! I am sorry!" Kiba breathed as tried to contain his irritation. Shit! He was making him say it! Damn, damn it! "You had the most wonderful abs in the whole, wide world! I am no match against your greatness, your highness!" There. He said it. Kill him now, please.
The voice suddenly perked and a giggle followed.
Kiba wanted to bang his head on the nearest wall. He was just doing this for the sake of food. Nothing more, nothing less.
"Good boy, Kiba! I'll prepare your lunch right away. Please come as soon as you can, alright?" said the voice on the other side of the line before he could react, he was already gone.
Oh well, at least he could eat now.
..
"You are really a demon in disguised, aren't you?" Said deadpanned as he watched Naruto smirked on his phone. "You'll make him travel that far just to see your sorry ass?"
Naruto shrugged his shoulders. "He said he wanted to eat here."
"Yeah, and you made him say your body is gorgeous? Abs, my ass," the dark haired man scoffed as he sipped his green tea. "That was a one low blow, Naruto."
Naruto just glared at his friend. "What do you mean? That I don't have abs?"
"Abs? Abs, you say? You are so skinny I could almost see your bones peeking whenever I try to look."
Naruto's glare intensified.
"Kiba was right when he said you looked girly right now, Naruto. Maybe you should go gym once in a week," Said said smiling. He was about to sipped his tea again when he realized his table was now coldly empty. "Hey! Where's my tea?"
"In the trash bin," Naruto glowered; his fists were twitching at his side. "Would you like to follow?"

Sasuke watched as Sakura presented the papers inside her folder.
"Is this all?" He asked, now gazing at the yellow papers in his hands.
"Yes," said Sakura. "A very reliable source gave it to me yesterday and I confirmed it first myself before coming here." She looked at Neji meaningly before looking at Sasuke again. "I was told that he had been in Sapporo before, and then two years ago, he went back to Tokyo again."
"How about his family?" Neji inquired. There was something indecipherable glistening in his eyes.
"He was alone for the past seven years. His last relative, his Uncle – the one living in Sapporo – died two years ago."
"How about his grandfather?"
"He was not his biological grandfather. And... he died, too, four years ago."
"So he had been alone for most of his life?" Sasuke slowly asked, his face was unreadable.
Sakura nodded.
Nejie almost sigh.
Sasuke remained placid but something was stirring in his eyes.
The air inside the reading room suddenly became stifling.
"So where is he now?" the raven asked.
"Shinjiku."
Neji abruptly stood, "Nonsense! He was here in Edogawa!"
Sakura looked at Neji. "No. He was in Shinjiku. There was someone purposely misleading your sources, Neji."
"What?"
"What do you mean 'misleading'?" Sasuke stood, his fist were clenching at his side.
"There was someone concealing Naruto's whereabouts from us. Do you remember what happened two years ago in Tachikawa?"
The two men nodded.
"I gave you guys a report that Naruto was there and he was staying at his friend's house."
"But we didn't find him there." Sasuke clicked his tongue in irritation. "Naruto didn't contact anyone when he left the village, Sakura. Nobody knew where he is."
"No," Sakura said, her eyes were shadowy. Her lips pursed. "Someone knew where he stayed when he left his home seven years ago, Sasuke."
The raven opened his mouth to speak but Sakura cut his words off.
"It's Kiba."
