The Battle of New York started unexpectedly, especially for (y/n)'s elementary school class. The day was normal, then suddenly, you are tasked with getting 20 five-year-olds to safety with the Chitauri attack sending bombs and debris falling everywhere. Good thing Captain America emerges from the rubble to help them get to safety.

Forced to work together to uncover secrets hidden within S.H.I.E.L.D by order of Director Fury, the two must put aside their differences and learn to get along. However, defending the world against evil is not the only thing eventful in their lives. Insecurities, hardships, and a love that no one would have ever suspected await the two soldiers in their not so distant future.

Steve was beside himself. He was holding Peggy's hand the whole time that Dugan was pulling the bullet out of her back. He was furious as he knew that this was absolutely unnecessary injury which was caused by nothing less than the carelessness of the soldiers of this camp. However, as he was thinking back, something like this was bound to happen.
