Chapter 22: Masked Beast + Vampire

Inner Moka, Nazere and Mizore stared through the hole on the sky. Everything burst into flames and many military soldiers from all over the world have been massacred by the invading demons. Soku laughed in triumph as about 75% of the world has been invaded.
"Ha! You see! This is what I do to those who turned my world into a fantasy. No human deserve to live and neither do you fools!" he yelled, pointing at Moka, Mizore, and Nazere.
"No…you damn bastard! Why did you that to…my stepmother?!" grunted Inner Moka.
"Ha! Simple. I used her. I used all of my servants that revived me and the members of the Fairy Tale to do my bidding. They believed that they would obtain my power once the humans are annihilated!"
"You…heartless monster! You did that…to Murotsu…and Tsukune," groaned Nazere as he saw Kurumu weeping over Murotsu's limp body.
"How could you?!" grunted Mizore. Her lollipop fell out of her mouth when she opened it.
"Yes he is foolish to save her! The humans are almost destroyed. You impostors should understand that I am the real demon ruler and the real demons shall thrive in my world. Once the humans are annihilated, you will soon fade and disappear. You will join your human creators to your doom! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!" laughed the Skorne.
At the other side of where Moka and her friends were lying, Kurumu was still weeping over Murotsu's dead body. It was the saddest moment for her life to see the one she loves dying in front of her. She needed Murotsu to be her destined one for her survival because Tsukune wants to be with Moka. A few yards away from Kurumu, Tsukune is lying unconscious on the ground. His chest is glowing a shimmering gold light. He lay motionless on the ground.
During that time, Ruby's group continued to clash with the Masked King. He lashed out his powerful tentacles and waved them toward the group. Everyone dodged and barely got hit.
"You fools can't defeat me! I am stronger and more powerful then any S Shinso class monster. Even vampires, ghouls, and dragons!" hissed the Masked King.
Kokoa mounted on Hiyata, hovered over the giant monster and charged at him. The Masked King's hair darted toward them and one of them hit causing them to crash land to the ruins of the school. Issa fired his blue beam. Kahlua's arms transformed into wings and fired her beams at him. The hideous monster raised his tentacles to block their attacks. The side of one of his slimy tentacles smacked Issa and Kahlua and sent them flying toward the ruins where Kokoa and Hiyata were lying.
Ruby used her seraphic feather spell and fired the strings toward his mask. The Masked King's tentacles intercepted her spell and knocked her to the ground. As he was about to strike Ruby, Akua leaped to the air and slashed one of his arms. Akua looked up to see how much damage she had done. Suddenly the broken tentacle somehow grew back. It then struck the ground and blasted both of them skyward toward their injured companions. Yukari and Fong saw their fallen comrades and stood in front of them to protect them. The Masked King slowly advanced toward them.
"Now it's time to end this! You fools will be joining the humans now that 80% of the world has been invaded!" hissed the Masked King.
"No!" cried Fong, clenching his teeth.
"Yes, Master Soku already summoned his demons to destroy the human world and promote chaos and a new demonic realm will be born!"
The Masked King raised his tentacles and darted them toward Fong and Yukari. Just then steam of mist appeared before the Masked King. He became bewildered and he fanned the smoke with his tentacles. When the smoke cleared there were no sign of Ruby's group or the three vampires. The Masked King smiled and whirled around him.
"Ha! Ha! Ha! You fools cannot hide from me!" he hissed. The hideous beast then crawled through the wilderness searching for any moving object he sees. Everyone opened their eyes and found themselves in the lair on top of the sofas and covered with bandages. In front of them stood Nekonome, the nurse, Mikogami, and Fuhai. They immediately sat up when they saw them. Surprisingly Deshiko was also standing right next to them.
"Are you guys alright?" asked Nekonome.
"Yes," answered Fong.
"Deshiko! I'm glad you are okay!" cried Ruby.
"It's all thanks to you guys, deshi," said Deshiko happily. She glanced around and saw the eight of them on the ground. "What happened to the others, deshi?"
"Tsukune others are still in the battlefield. They must be in trouble right now!" said Fong, trying to stand up.
"Calm down Fong. You guys need to plan before you go up against the Masked King," said Fuhai.
"How did we get here, desu?" asked Yukari.
"If Mikogami didn't teleport you guys in time, you all would have been done for," he said.
"Wait, that was you that teleported us here?" asked Ruby, sitting up on the sofa.
"Yes, it was me," answered the headmaster.
"It looks like all of us are – wait where is Gin and the monster management army? Did he evacuate the students?"
"I'm afraid they did not make it alive along with the students," said the nurse, hanging her head with sorrow.
"I'm sorry," said Nekonome, taking off her glasses. Tears poured out from her eyes.
Everyone gasped after they heard this. Ruby's heart sank hearing the Gin along with everyone else was hit from Soku's blast.
"Gin…" she whispered.
"We do not have time to mourn for them. We still have to worry about the Masked King," said Issa.
"Man, that masked monster this guy doesn't really play nice," said Hiyata, breathing heavily.
"I've fought the Masked King before. He is impossible to defeat," commented Akua.
"Not to mention how scary he is, desu!" shivered Yukari.
"We cannot fight with fear. We need to defeat this monster!" said Issa, removing the bandages off his arm.
"It's hopeless. We are going to be done for!" cried Kahlua. Lots of tears poured from her eyes.
"There is no way to defeat them. We are going to die!" agreed Yukari.
"No, we are not going to die yet!" interrupted Fong, standing up to his feet. "Tsukune needs our help to defeat Soku. I am not going to die here like this."
"Fong is right," agreed Ruby. "The human world is already in grave danger and we do not have much time. His battle with Soku decides our fate."
"But first we have to deal with the Masked King," said Issa.
Mikogami and Fuhai proceeded to leave the lair.
"Hey where are you guys going?" asked Kokoa.
"We will go and help Tsukune. The rest of you guys come up with a tactic to defeat the Masked King," said Mikogami.
"But how? He is too strong for us," asked Akua.
"I think I got one idea!" said Hiyata as he stood up to his feet and came running to the potions room.
"Wait Hiyata! Those are Nazere's potions. You can't go in there!" said Fong trying to stop him.
"Wait, my great-great grandson. I think he has a solution," said Fuhai.
They all waited for Hiyata in the living room. Falling broken glasses that can be heard in that room.
"I'm not quite sure that knucklehead has a solution," said Kokoa, sweat dropping.
Ten minutes later Hiyata returned with a bottle filled with black liquid.
"This is a monster power repellent," said Hiyata. "This potion would disable the person's monster form for a while the moment the liquid touches the skin! Nazere and Murotsu made that in order to travel to the human world."
"That might work on him. It's worth a shot," said Ruby staring at the bottle.
"Can you find anymore, desu?" asked Yukari.
"I'm sorry. This is the only one I can find," Hiyata said sadly.
"Tsukune might need it in order to defeat Soku," said Kahlua.
"I don't think his potion cannot be wielded against Soku. Only the Chosen and the power of the sages can defeat him. That potion should work on the Masked King," said Fuhai, inserting the pipe into his mouth.
"We must go. Tsukune is in trouble and needs the power of the sages," said Mikogami. At that moment they both vanished.
"I have worked for the Masked King before but I believe he may have one weakness, deshi. His flesh may be exposed beneath his tentacles under his mask," said Deshiko.
"Alright, here's the plan," said Fong. "Yukari, combine your magic with Ruby's that would conjure the "magic devil."
"What good would that do, Fong?" asked Yukari.
"That would be a diversion. Hiyata, you fly around and draw his attention toward you so the magic devil can hit him," answered Fong.
The witches and Hiyata looked at each other and nodded in agreement.
"Kahlua and Issa can use their powerful strength and beams to destroy the arms. While they do that, Akua and Kokoa can cover me," he continued. "That will allow me to slide close to his fleshy body and throw my potion at him so the liquid will disable his monster ability for a while."
"That sounds like a plan," said Issa.
"Then we better get ready," said Akua.
"Where is the Masked King anyways? We can't allow him to surprise us," said Kokoa.
"I'm on it," said Hiyata heading to Nazere's computer. "Good thing I have his password to get access to the surveillance security grid."
"Man, Hiyata seems know how this lair works, desu," said Yukari.
"I know, right?" said Fong.
"Please let me come and help you guys, deshi," said Deshiko.
"You can't do that. It's too dangerous for you," objected Ruby. "Nekonome watch over, Deshiko."
Hiyata typed the password and proceed to the home page. Then he pressed a few more buttons and a grid appeared on the screen. His eyes move toward a giant blinking red dot on the top right section of the grid. He clicked on the grid and a map can be seen on the grid.
"Aha! Right here is the Youkai academy and here is our lair," Hiyata said. "This flashing red dot is the Masked King and he appears to be roaming around the wilderness and he is near the bus stop."
"It seems to me he is still searching for us," said Issa.
"Then we will let him find us," said Fong.
The group got up and geared up to face the Masked King. When they climbed out to the surface they noticed many trees had been destroyed. In the distance they saw the Masked King, slashing more trees that stood in his way.
"You cowards can't hide forever!" he hissed as his tentacle smashed the scarecrow near the bus stop.
As everyone got out of the hideout, they crawled into the bushes near the stone cemetery.
"Alright Hiyata. Do your thing!" whispered Fong.
"Don't – Don't do anything stupid," said Kokoa.
"So you really do care about me," Hiyata said smiling at her.
"I - I said that to make this plan work! Now go!" whispered Kokoa. Her cheeks were red with embarrassment.
"My, my, young sister. I can see what you are thinking," teased Kahlua.
As Hiyata soared in the air, the Masked King stopped and turned his hideous face toward him.
"I knew you couldn't hide forever, worm," he hissed.
"Hey you with the ugly face! Yeah, I'm talking to you!" Hiyata taunted.
"You are brave enough to come out and face me but foolish."
"Come and get me!"
The Masked King lashed out his tentacles toward the griffin. Hiyata swerved and rolled sideways to dodge the tentacles. He raced around in circles to try to lure the hideous beast toward the ruins.
"Bothersome gnat!" hissed the Masked King. "Fly no more!
As Fong watched the Masked King pursue Hiyata, Ruby and Yukari stood up on position with their wands at the ready.
"Ready Ruby?" asked Yukari.
"Let's do it. Concentrate you magic in your wand," said Ruby, closing her eyes.
Yukari collided her wand with Ruby's staff and unleashed their magic together. A small purple, blackish blue sphere slowly appeared and became bigger and bigger. Then suddenly the sphere dispersed into magical tarot cards that darted toward the Masked King. The cards hit but bounced off the Masked King's tentacles. The Masked King turned to the witches and laughed at them.
"Pathetic! Is that the best you can do to stop me?" he hissed.
"Umm Ruby-san, is this part of the plan, desu?" asked Yukari.
"Wait for it, Yukari-chan. Wait for it," answered Ruby.
Half of the Masked King's arms darted toward the witches while the other half pursued Hiyata. Ruby then smiled.
"Perfect, he just fell for it," she whispered. "Now Fong! Go for it!"
Fong nodded and signaled the four vampires to cover him while he ran straight toward the Masked King.
"What is this trickery?" hissed the Masked King. The tarot cards disappeared into black spherical objects then the particles rose up into the air forming a shape of a giant crow. The crow descended toward the Masked King and its claws scratched the face of his Mask. The giant beast roared and howled with pain. His tentacles flailed everywhere. Fong and the four vampires were already 15 feet away from the Masked King. The Masked King woke up and saw the young yasha charging with him. He fired his tentacles at him but Akua and Kokoa cut them off. Issa and Kahlua grabbed several huge stones and thrust them at his mask. They also fired their beams at his eyes to distract him. All of a sudden the tentacles grabbed at the vampires as well as Hiyata and the witches. Fong was already close to the fleshy part of the Masked King's body.
"Ha! Now I will kill you all at the same time," the Masked King laughed, squeezing them tightly. Everyone screamed in pain. Everything began to fade as they were being squeezed.
"I don't think so!" Fong yelled. He ran and thrust the potion at the Masked King's body. When the potion hit, the glass bottle shattered and the liquid splattered all over the fleshy part of the Masked King. After that happened, the Masked King roared in horrible laughter.
"That's it? You amuse me to throw a glass bottle at me. You are foolish like the members of both the Miao and Huang family," hissed the Masked King.
Two minutes later, the Masked King felt a funny feeling one of his tentacles. The Masked King glanced at it and saw it shrinking. He whirled around and saw more of his arms shrinking. The arms became so small that he lost his grip of everyone he captured. Ruby and the others fell to the ground.
"Wha – what is happening to me?" he cried. He felt his body shrink and everything seems to appear bigger than they were. Fong and the others watched as the giant beast shrank until he became their size. The Masked King appeared to be wearing his black robe was all torn and tattered. His hat also appeared to be missing and his boots were all worn out. He was on his hands and knees. His body was shaking and unable to recover.
"How?" he hissed. "You did something…to me. That liquid…in that…bottle…it has something to…do with it."
"That potion disables your hideous form for a while. It takes effect once the liquid gets in contact with your skin," said Hiyata.
"You will never threaten the human world nor our world ever again," said Kokoa.
"Give up! You are weak!" said Akua. Her hands were ready to strike.
The Masked King lifted his head to his opponents. A moment later he began to laugh.
"This is…not over yet. Soku…and his demons already...invaded the human world and it will fall," His head turned to Akua and Kahlua. "You traitors…should have stayed…in my Fairy Tale…to kill all the humans. You could have served us well."
"We left because we will not let you nor our stepmother harm our sister," explained Kahlua.
"That filthy…sister of yours should be none of your con – Ahhh!" His words were cut by Akua's Jigen-Tou attack at his ribs.
"Don't you dare say that about our sister!" yelled Akua. His blood stained her hands.
"It's not...over. I will kill you traitors right – " Fong's coin sword pierced through his body. The Masked King's shaky head slowly turned to Fong.
"So you…are really…going to…kill me, the last member of…the Huang family?" gasped the Masked King,
"I will not forgive you for what you done to all of us and the humans in China. Nor will I ever forgive you for what you did to the Huang and Miao families." Fong yelled. He then took out his coin blade out of his gut. The Masked King fell face down to the ground. His mask shattered and turned into debris. Fong stood up and cleaned his blood-covered coin blade.
"He is right about one thing. It's not over yet," said Issa.
"Yes Tsukune has to face Soku. He is our only hope," said Ruby.
"Let's go," said Fong.
Suddenly the tip of Yukari's foot slowly began to disappear.
"Oh no. I'm fading desu!" cried Yukari.
"I am to too!" cried Kahlua, when she saw a piece of her white dress disappearing.
Everyone looked down to their feet and their shoes slowly began to fade away.
"Oh no it looks like the demons are almost done will killing the humans!" cried Ruby.
"Tsukune needs to hurry or we are all done for!" cried Hiyata.
A moment later in Nazere's house Nekonome and the nurse were about to serve Deshiko some hot tea. All of a sudden Nekonome noticed that her tail is disappear.
Deshiko noticed that the bumps on her bed were slowly fading and part of the nurse's shoes were disappearing too.
"So it's true! Our fates are tied actually to the humans deshi!" cried Deshiko.
"It's the end of the Youkai world as we know it!" cried the nurse.
"Nyyyaaa! If Tsukune doesn't hurry! Then we are all goners!" meowed Nekoneme.
