Sam died during a mission when Grace is 2. Jack is a single father for 5 years. The Gate activates with an emergency code. Her world is devastated by the Ori. Everyone she ever loved is dead. She has nowhere else to go. Jack lets her stay at the Colorado house, he's in DC but refuses to see her or the baby. Until he has to visit the SGC with an unsuspecting Gracie.

A routine mission takes an unexpected turn and Carter ends up paying the price. Jack, Daniel, and Teal'c are by her side every step of the way for her recovery, but there's little chance she'll ever be same. As she tries to move forward and heal as best she can, they must all learn how to cope and adjust to their new circumstances. Teamish, Jack-centric.

Imagine being Major Davis and having to tell Jack about the Prometheus being hijacked with Sam and Jonas onboard. I recently rewatched this episode and had fun thinking about it, so here's a bit about that. T for swears.

It's always bothered me that the Tok'ra never think to test Martouf. So here we are spending some time in Jack's head during Divide & Conquer as he unpacks his emotional state. I'm not super at writing angst, but as a grumpy person I did my best to add some of that.

Sam accepts the post of Head of Homeworld e Carter-O'Neill family moves to Washington D.C. which implies adjustments to everyone, like Grace and Jake going to new schools. It also brings back old Jack's insecurities regarding his age difference towards Sam, and it will shake deeply their marriage. Is their love strong enough to survive all the hardships coming their way?

Stuck schmoozing on an alien planet, Jack's bored. Also, Carter has disappeared, which is a bit worrisome. Going in search of her, he finds himself in a place that reminds him of his past-reminds them both of the past, actually. And maybe? Also gives them hope for the future. Jack/Sam angst.
