AUTHOR'S NOTE: First, I don't own MLP, duh. Second, Shining Armor is going to be in the finale of Season 2, in a two-part story when he marries a member of the royal family, a pinkish Alicorn.

"What are we going to go today, Princess?" Twilight Sparkle said, nearly bouncing up and down with excitement. Her and Princess Celestia were in a small auditorium within the Canterlot Castle.
"Oh, don't worry, Twilight. I won't disappoint." Celestia said, smiling. The filly had only been her apprentice for a year, but she was advancing much faster than any of the other ponies at Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns.
Celestia walked over and jumped onto the stage. "Twilight Sparkle," she began. "I don't know if you remember, but today marks exactly one year since you passed your magic test by hatching the baby dragon. All year you have studied incredibly hard, never stopping, even for sickness or holiday. So you deserve something very special. First, I want to introduce you to someone."
She used her magic to pull what looked like a foal carrage onto the stage. "Twilight Sparkle, I would like you to meet Spike." Twilight Sparkle jumped onto the stage, to look into the carrage. There was a wrapped-up purple baby dragon looking up at her with huge green eyes.
"Pur-ple." Spike said, a wide smile pulling over his face, matching Twilight Sparkle's.
"Twilight, this is the baby dragon you hatched. I want you to be the one to raise him." Celestia said. "You have the responsibility to; and I know I can trust you."
Twilight Sparkle beamed up at the Princess. "Oh, thankyouthankyouthankyou!" She cried.
"But that isn't all," Celestia continued. "Twilight, your brother has been sending letters to me almost every day asking when you could visit him and the rest of your family. So I decided to treat him to that - I'm sending you with your family on a vacation to Fillydelphia. You need a break from all the hard work you do."
"Really?" Twilight Sparkle squeeled. "YAY! Me and Shining Armor get to go to Fillydelphia with Mom and Dad! YESYESYES!"
Now the filly really was bouncing around. Celestia smiled, but suddenly something was pulled into her mind.
Luna bouncing on her bed after her older sister woke up. "Sister, c'mon! Today is Hearth's Warming day! We gotta light all of th' hearths!"
Celestia let pout a giant yawn. "Luna, gerroff me.." She said sleepily. "Five more minutes..."
"NO, NOW, CELES!" Luna yelled.
Celestia chuckled. " 'K, lemme get up." She replied, defeated. She stood up and yawned again while Luna began bouncing up and down on the carpet.
"Hearth's Warming Day! YESYESYES!"
Celestia wished someday Twilight Sparkle could meet Luna... but as her old self, not the selfish monster she had become. It almost brought Celestia to tears.
"Luna, please get better." She whispered to herself.
