The Young and the Dramatic: Season Three
Episode 2: Sierra Plots Her Revenge
The producer of Wawanakwa News Station looked up to see the crew inside his office.
"What is it now?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. He turned off the power on his laptop, and as he closed it, he eyed the crew.
"It's been a few days now, and we haven't heard anything from Josh," one man piped up, "I think he's gone off the map,"
There was a silence in the room, until the producer smirked, looking around the room once more.
"It's already been taken care of," he said.
"What are you talking about?" someone asked, looking confused.
"We got the new anchor," the producer said, looking up from their laptop, "Someone from Boney Isles,"
Bridgette opened the door to find Duncan lying on the couch, fast asleep. She rolled her eyes as she noticed the empty pizza box lying on the coffee table, and the empty beer bottles lying next to it.
"I'm home," the surfer girl whispered, laying a kiss on the bad boy's cheek, waking him up.
"Hey," Duncan said in an almost sleepy tone. Opening up his eyes, he smirked at the surfer girl, "How was it?"
The blonde raised an eyebrow, and put her hands on her hips.
"They put the casket six feet under," Bridgette snapped, "What else do you want to know? What the cadaver was wearing?"
Duncan smirked as he jumped to his feet, and wrapped an arm around his girlfriends' waist, "Not at all. In fact, I'm getting tired of clothes," he started unbuttoning the surfer girl's blouse.
"Knock it off," Bridgette said, pushing his hands off.
"Come on,"
"Knock—"she repeated, but the bad boy interrupted her with a kiss on the lips, and finally she gave in.
Sierra cracked her knuckles as she walked into the empty, bare loft sitting at the corner of Wane Street.
Since the Wawanakwa Daily's office had burned down, Sierra had been eagerly searching the classifieds to search for a new space. Since the burned office was still a crime scene, there was little to no chance of repair.
The uber fan sighed as she looked around, as if she were imagining where everything could go.
"It's a shame we have to do this," Sierra said, folding her arms, "But it is necessary for what I have planned,"
She pulled her tablet out of her bag, and scrolled through the news stories until she landed on the one she had been reading whenever she wasn't busy.
CODY ANDERSON ARRESTED FOR ARSON THAT DESTROYED THE WAWANAKWA DAILY OFFICE
"Such a shame," Sierra shook her head, "Poor Cody had to take the fall for Bridgette,"
The car pulled up to the Wawanakwa News Station, and parked in the spot marked for "Anchors". The driver opened the door, and quickly stepped out, grabbing their belongings as they walked up the steps to the door.
After entering the lobby, they asked the receptionist where they should go. The receptionist directed them in the direction of the producers' office, where the entire staff was inside, currently talking to the said boss.
Inside the office, the staff was still confused.
"But sir, we still don't know who you're bringing in as the new anchor," another person was saying.
The producer looked up, just as the door swung open, and the new anchor stepped inside.
"Just in time," he said, and stood up. As he extended his head, the anchor took off her sunglasses, and batted her eyes.
"Dakota Milton is our new anchor,"
The fame monger smiled, as she tucked her sunglasses inside her purse.
Bridgette rolled over in the bed, exhausted from what had just taken place. She turned over, and saw that Duncan was smiling at her.
"That was great," Duncan said, planting a kiss on her lips.
The young woman smiled back, and then turned away, with her smile quickly fading. The bad boy reached his arm out to grab hers'.
"What's the matter?" he asked, looking confused, "Did I do something wrong?"
Bridgette rolled back over to face Duncan, and let out a deep and heavy sigh.
"There's something I need to tell you," the surfer girl said, looking up into Duncan's caring eyes.
"I was just planning on moving out of Boney Isles when I saw that you were looking for a new anchor," Dakota said, taking a seat across from the producer. Everyone else in the room was looking especially shocked, "So I decided to give Wawanakwa City a chance,"
"Which is exactly why we're giving you a chance," the producer replied, and looked to his staff, "Make to it that Ms. Milton feels at home,"
The staff quickly nodded, and a woman named Liz helped Dakota out of her chair, and led her down the hallway.
"Welcome to Wawanakwa City, Ms. Milton," Liz told her with a smile.
"It's good to be here," Dakota smirked, and followed the assistant down the hallway.
"I know it was Bridgette though," Sierra reminded herself as she stepped towards the window, and stared down at the town, "Bridgette purposely burned down my shop to stop me from giving the townspeople the truth about Duncan Abraham,"
"Why haven't I gone to the police, you may ask?"
The reporter was acting as though she was doing a story, as she did several times throughout her day. Seeing her reflection in the window, she smiled at it.
"I'm planning something far more badly than what Bridgette could ever get from being thrown into prison," she told herself, "Plus, she has connections with the sheriff. There's no telling whether or not she'd be held,"
The previous owner of the Wawanakwa Daily cackled, as she realized that her dreams of revenge were finally coming true.
Bridgette quickly realized what she was saying, and sighed.
"I went out to dinner with an old friend while I was away," Bridgette said, realizing she could never tell Duncan the truth about her and Cody.
"An old friend…?" Duncan repeated.
"An old boyfriend," Bridgette said, biting her lip. She hoped Duncan would buy it, and not get suspicious.
Duncan raised an eyebrow, "But nothing happened, right?" he asked, and when the surfer girl didn't respond, he leaned forward, "Right?"
"Nope," Bridgette finally said something, "Nothing happened at all. I just felt guilty seeing someone while also going out on a date,"
"But it wasn't a date, right?"
The surfer girl shook her head, "Nope. Not at all," she gave Duncan a weak smile, and leaned forward, "I love you, Duncan,"
"And I love you too," the bad boy said, planting a kiss on her lips.
However, the entire time, Bridgette recalled Cody professing his love for her.
Dakota closed the dressing room door behind her, and let out a sigh of relief.
After everything that had taken place in Boney Isles, she finally felt safe and secure in Wawanakwa City.
"I'm here," she sighed, walking up to the mirror.
Suddenly, an awful odor entered her nose, and she gagged. Waving her hand in front of her, she looked around.
"What is that?" Dakota mouthed, gagging again and again. She twirled around her dressing room, though nothing looked out of place. Everything looked clean and such, but nothing was looking out of place.
Finally, as she walked towards a closet door, she realized that the odor was coming from it.
As Dakota opened the closet door, something fell out; a body. But it wasn't just a random body.
It was Staci's dead body.
Next on the Young and the Dramatic…
"Staci Andrews' body was found at the TV station," Momma DJ said with a sigh, "They think she was murdered,"
When all seems lost…
"You're under arrest for the murder of Izzy Wallace," Hatchet said, and pulled Alejandro's arms behind him.
Even in the darkest hours…
"Who would do something like this?" Dakota asked, looking nervous.
There may be a light at the end of the tunnel…
"I'm Brady Lawrence," the man said, "I'm here to investigate Ms. Andrews's death,"
A/N – I told you all that characters from The Bold and the Famous would cross over into The Young and the Dramatic. However, since The Bold and the Famous remains uncompleted the reason why Dakota left Boney Isles remains a mystery. Guess you'll have to wait until I finish that story.
See you next Wednesday!
