Okay, so I promise I didn't forget about this story, and I'm not purposely slacking, but I majorly suck at writing AU. I swear, I'm not capable of thinking of my own ideas. Plus I'm so freaking in love with season three and I just really want to write about that and they had a completely normal summer! There's no supernatural drama to write about! Season three is where my mind set is for this story and I just can't think of anything really. So, this will be the last AU summer chapter and it will lead into season three.

Skyler is still a witch though, and I'll keep building her story line, I'll just do it in season three instead!

Disclaimer: I don't own Teen Wolf or any of its characters of plots. I only own my OC Skyler.

Summer has passed by entirely too fast. Between my witch training with my Abuela and Stiles lacrosse training with Scott, we hardly see each other. Weekends are really the only time we even get to hangout; honestly we see more of each other during the school year.

I was so looking forward to this summer, and now I'm practically itching for school to start back up. I was looking forward to a nice, relaxing, werewolf drama free summer with my boyfriend. And it has been somewhat. I mean, there hasn't been any werewolf drama. Derek, Isaac, and Peter haven't been around, and I can only assume it has to do with werewolves. Plus, Erica and Boyd are still 'missing'. I know they ran away looking for another pack, but I'd figured they would have come back by now. Plus, I just have a really bad feeling about the whole thing. Call it a witch's intuition, but I have a feeling something is definitely coming to Beacon Hills.

But even though there's no werewolf drama, I've got a whole plate full of witch drama. Did you know that dead witch ancestors watch down on you? And if they think you abuse your powers they punish you? Yeah, me either, but I definitely found that out the hard way. Remind me to never try astral projecting into the kitchen to get a drink of water because I was too lazy to get up…yeah, apparently my ancestors thought I'd learn my lesson by taking control of my body and making me choke on the water. That, my friend, was not fun. Since then I've refused to even astral project during training.

My Abuela had told me that every witch has three types of powers; offensive, defensive, and supportive, plus one power passed down through the family. Astral projection was passed down through our family, so that's the first power I practiced, and now I've practically mastered it. Well, I think I have. Abuela insists I could be better though. The next power I got was my supportive one, and that turned out to be empathy, which I was so not happy about. Literally, when I first got it I had to lock myself in my room for a week because being around anyone made me burst into tears. Empathy isn't an active power, though, so there's no physical training I could do for it; it was all mental training. Basically Abuela just thought me how to channel my energy and emotions and how to block out everyone else's. And trust me, it is not easy. Like just last week Scott and Stiles came home after practicing lacrosse, and Stiles had twisted his ankle, so my ankle hurt, then Scott was sad about Allison, so I became sad. Then I just got frustrated that I could feel their emotions so I started crying. I swear being empathetic is like PMSing 24/7. I've also learned that my empathy is ten times worse when I'm around Scott. After I told Abuela this she said it was because witches are apparently sensitive to other supernatural creatures, such as werewolves.

Not long after I got my empathy, my defensive power came in the mail….it didn't actually come in the mail, though…oh whatever. Turns out my defensive power is a force field. I mean, I guess that's kind of cool, but I was secretly hoping for something a tad more badass. I mean, I guess this could have came in handy when we were fighting the Kanima, because any time it'd attack us I could've used a force field and blocked him out. And since that actually is an active power, Abuela has spent a lot of time practicing that with me. When I started with it I could only use it on myself, then I advanced and could cover other people, now I'm at the point when I can cover myself and others. But again, Abuela insists that I can get it farther.

Unfortunately my offensive power has yet to come to me. I can tell Abuela is worried, but all my other powers came within a week of each other over three months ago. And when you gain a new power, all the witches in the line come down to give it to you. I can't see them, and at first I couldn't even feel them; but Abuela could and she said they were there to give me my power. So maybe they don't deem me worthy enough of my offensive power yet? That'd really suck if that's the case, though. I'm just hoping it's something extremely badass that they have to conjure up. But since I'm pretty much boss at the powers I currently have, Abuela has gone easy on my training so Stiles and I finally get some time together. The only thing I still have to do is my yoga every day, but that's just to help me with my empathy.

Lydia has tried to get me to hangout all throughout the summer, and I really do try to make time for her and hangout with her too, but I haven't been able to see her as much as I'd like. Without Allison and Jackson here I can tell she's lonely, but I want to see Stiles, dammit! Speaking of Stiles, he should be here any min- now. "Skyler! Unlock the door!" I heard him yell as he banged his fist against the front door. Huh, Abuela must have locked it when she was here; she always gets upset and freaks out when I leave the doors and windows unlocked. Oh yeah, that's another thing, now Abuela only trains me in her astral form while her real body stays at her own house.

"Can I help you?" I asked with a chuckle as I opened the door to find Stiles panting on the other side. At the beginning of summer he decided to start growing out his hair, and I must say I definitely approve.

"What? Is it a crime that I want to see my girlfriend?" He questioned, walking inside and pulling me into his arms. God, I love his hugs.

"I suppose it isn't." I joked, before pressing my lips to his. Over the summer, in the small time Stiles and I get to see each other, our relationship has definitely…advanced, if you will, "So my mom's not home…"

"Oh?" He asked with a smirk.

"And Scott's working…"

"Yes, yes he is."

"And there's no training with Abuela today…"

"These are all very good things." Stiles said with a nod, before attaching his lips to mine again.

"Bedroom?" I asked with a smirk.

"Bedroom." He quickly agreed, before racing upstairs, dragging me behind him. Yeah, our relationship has definitely advanced.

"So how is lacrosse coming along?" I asked Stiles as I rode with him to the school. Scott had texted us saying Deaton was letting him leave early and he and Stiles could practice early than usual.

"I don't know, good I guess. I mean, Scott still uses his wolfy powers half the time, and I still manage to make most of the shots and stuff, but I just don't think Finstock will let me play." Stiles said, and even though he said it in a somewhat happy tone, I could feel his sadness.

"I think you forget that I can literally feel your emotions, Stiles. I know it upsets you. But don't think negatively about it! Scott didn't think he'd make first line, and at first neither did the coach! But Scott still tried, and so will you! Coach Finstock will see how great you've gotten, and let you on for sure." I encouraged, "Plus, with Jackson in London, and Isaac MIA for the moment, he'll need more players; and you'll be the perfect addition."

"I hope so." He said with a smile as we pulled up by the field. Scott was already there and he was sitting in the bleachers reading Call of the Wild. I have to say, I'm pretty impressed with Scott. All summer between helping Stiles and working, he's been studying nonstop. He said that last year on the night of the game after I was shot and when Jackson 'killed' himself, the coach talked to Scott and told him how much he needed him this year and how Scott needed to get his grades up. Scott really took it to heart, and since were juniors and have our SATs this year, he's been studying constantly.

"Hey, brother!" I greeted happily as I skipped over to him, my fingers wound with Stiles.

"Ew, could you guys please at least take a shower after you have sex? I can smell it all over you two." Scott asked with a shudder. Well if that's not the most awkward thing ever, I don't know what is.

"Oh, that sounds like a good idea! Showering together; I like it!" Stiles exclaimed.

"I meant separately." Scott elaborated, before placing his book down and grabbing his lacrosse stick, "But as much as I'd love to talk about your sex life, can we please practice now?"

"Please do, be my guest." I said, wanting to get off this topic as quickly as possible.

After several minutes of playing Scott broke the silence that surrounded us, "So, I was thinking of getting a tattoo tonight before school starts."

"Uh, why?" Stiles and I both asked.

"As a reward, I guess."

"You know when I do something I'm proud of I just give myself a nice pat on the back. I don't permanently mark my skin with a needle." Stiles said, making Scott smirk.

"Reward for what?" I asked him, "Studying and stuff? Cause you know I can go buy you a new book or something if you want."

"No thanks, Sky. And it's for not talking to Allison all summer." He said sadly. Stiles and I both shared a look before shifting our concerned gazes back to Scott, "So many times I wanted to just pick up the phone and call her, but I stopped myself. I'm giving her the time she needs, and maybe one day if she ever comes back from France I'll get another chance with her." He said hopefully.

"You will, Scotty." I assured him softly. I know for a fact that Allison's coming home from France, considering we Skype and text nearly every day, but she gave me strict orders not to tell Scott. In fact, if my calculations are correct, Allison and her father arrived home earlier this week, and Lydia and I were going to surprise her tonight and take her out.

"Yeah, I hope your right." He sighed.

"Look, I promise it's not a triple date." Lydia said for the millionth time. When Lydia told us we were having a 'girl's night', I thought that we were all just going to crash at Allison's or Lydia's and catch up or watch movies or something! Not go on a huge group date, which Lydia personally made sure Stiles wasn't invited to, by the way.

"Can I ask why you think I should even be tagging along right now?" I asked her from my spot in the backseat.

"Because you're single?" Lydia said, making it sound like a question.

"Uh, no I'm actually not. Honestly, Lydia, how many times do I have to tell you that Stiles and I are indeed dating?" I questioned, "Have been since last year." I love Lydia, I really do, but holy shit she can be so frustrating sometimes.

"Oh, that's right. You're dating…him. Well, just think of this as a sneak peak of all the possible improvements you can make!" Lydia said excitedly.

"So not happening, Lydia." I said somewhat angrily.

"Skyler's right, Lydia. Besides, I'm not ready to get back out there early." Allison told her, obviously still dealing with the whole Scott break up.

"I told you, it's not a date! It's just a group thing!" Lydia defended, but Allison and I could see right through it; it was so a date, "Besides, I don't get why you didn't date in France. I mean, you were surrounded by French men for four months."

"Okay, well what about you? Did you date after Ja-" Allison started to ask, spinning the table on her, but Lydia quickly cut her off.

"Do not say his name." She said hastily.

Allison paused for a moment before continuing to question her about Jackson, "Well is okay? How's he doing after everything that's happened?"

"He's fine. The doctors all looked like total idiots after he showed up alive," She said with a smirk, "Derek taught him the werewolf 101, like how not to randomly kill people during the full moon."

"Have you guys talked at all?" Allison asked her softly.

"No, not since his dad moved him to London. An American Werewolf in London…now that's a disaster waiting to happen." Lydia joked as we pulled up to a red stop light. "And I lied…this is a triple date, but it's not like it's an orgy." She defended. Allison rolled her eyes jokingly while I let out a dry laugh.

"Oh my God!" Allison suddenly exclaimed horrified before sinking lower into her seat. "Oh my God, oh my God." She mumbled over and over. I looked over and saw that Stiles had pulled up next to us and Scott was in the passenger seat. Oh yeah! Scott was getting his tattoo tonight!

Stiles waved enthusiastically at me and I grinned before blowing him a kiss. Gosh, we are too cute. "Lydia go!" Allison exclaimed.

"The lights red!" She argued.

"I don't care! Just go!" Allison exclaimed again. Stiles rolled leaned across Scott and rolled the passenger side window before yelling out a 'hey!' to us.

"Hey babe!" I yelled back, right before the light turned green and Lydia floored it down the street.

"Wait, they stopped." Allison said after looking in the side mirror. I turned in my seat and saw that Stiles had indeed stopped several feet behind us.

"Should we go see what's wrong?" Lydia asked.

"W-we have to, right? I mean we have to go back." Allison said. Right as we all turned back to face forward a deer came running straight at us before jumping right into Lydia's windshield. All of our screams filled the car as glass came flying at all of us. All of a sudden I felt my body propel and suddenly I was rolling on the pavement behind Lydia's car.

"Sky! Skyler!" I heard my name being called.

"Ow," I groaned as I pushed myself up into a sitting position, right as Stiles collapsed down next to me and Lydia, Scott, and Allison all ran over by us.

"What the hell was that?!" Lydia exclaimed frantically.

"I think I accidently astral projected." I admitted sheepishly, "I just got so scared and imagined myself outside of the car and then I was."

"You really have got to work on that…what if there were other cars around?" Scott scolded.

"Okay, can we talk about that later and instead focus on the deer that just crashed into my car?!" Lydia screamed. I quickly projected back into my body, which was lying unconscious in the backseat. Huh, guess I don't have as much control when I'm scared…in my defense I wasn't concentrating at all, though. I brushed off the glass that was lying on me and exited the car before walking back over to Stiles.

"I saw its eyes before it hit us...it looked crazy." Lydia said shakily as we all stood closer to the deer.

Scott slowly reached out and touched before shaking his head, "It wasn't crazy, it was scared…terrified actually." Well, this was a great way to start off the new school year. Last year Scott got bit by an Alpha, and this year a terrified deer runs straight into Lydia's car. I can only imagine what next year's going to be like…

XxX

"Are you sure you're okay?" Stiles asked for the millionth time tonight. After the deer incident we called Stiles dad and the police and ambulance showed up. Lydia, Allison, and I all had to get checked over since we were in the car, but all any of us had were small scratches. Well, I actually had a road burn on my arm that had started bleeding, but it wasn't too bad. I just had to think of a really good lie as to how I got it. I don't think 'astral projection' would have gone well. Lydia's car got towed, much to her dismay, and Allison's dad came to take them home, while I just rode back with Scott and Stiles.

"Stiles, honestly I'm fine. It just scared me is all." I told him as laid on my bed and I looked through my closet for something to wear tomorrow. What? It's the first day; I have to make an impression!

"I didn't mean about the deer, I meant with your projection. Why did you pass out when it happened? I thought you were passed that and could control both bodies?" Stiles questioned, concern clear in his voice.

"Yeah, I can…I just think since I was so scared I wasn't really concentrating on it. I just wanted out of the car so bad and all of a sudden I was." I shrugged, "Besides, my Abuela always seems to know when something happens with me, and since she isn't here yet I'm going to take that as a good sign."

"That's true, that woman does tend to show up out of nowhere anytime something happens. I'm just glad your okay, though." Stiles said again, moving to stand next to me. "You should wear this tomorrow. You look really good in red…I mean, you look good in everything you wear, but I really like you in red." Stiles told me, blushing as he held out a red blouse for me.

"Thanks batman." I said softly, before pressing a quick kiss to his lips. I really hope this year is going to be a good one.
