Just saying, When reading through this, i find the song Slip by Elliot Moss sets a nice scene... especially for the future sex scenes I have planned.. i haven't really heard the lyrics that much, just enjoy the songs atmosphere x (Do apologise for any errors in grammar or spelling. I'm always tired when i write as its my only spare time!)
Sherlock stood outside the old building. Waiting for this damn cab to arrive, when he heard foot steps behind him. He turned his head slightly to the right, confirming the slinky figure was his older brother.
'So, back on cases are we? I thought you'd be on maternity leave'
Sherlock gave no response
Mycroft looked his brother up and down from behind, he could tell he was subtly rubbing underneath his bump with his fingers. 'Still no baby yet?'
Sherlock snapped his head back round away from his sibling, as he saw the cab arrive in the distance.
'Sherlock..' Mycroft sighed 'I am only concerned about you' Mycroft softened his voice just slightly, enough for Sherlock to notice.
'I know. Good of you to finally admit it' Sherlock snapped
Mycrofts face stiffened, glaring at his brother, he bit his lip 'Let me offer you a ride home' Mycrofts face now becoming increasingly concerned as his brother grimaced holding his heavy stomach on the side walk.
'No thank you i will get a cab like abnormal person' Sherlock replied, declining his worried brothers offer as the cab pulled up onto the large drive way.
Sherlock got into the cab, much to his dismay followed by his brother, slipping in the black cab opposite him and to the right. '221B Baker Street' He got himself comfortable, draping his coat around him to make his tummy less visible. 'Mmgh..' Sherlock moaned softly under his breath
'Might be a slow one to there mate...' The cabby started as he began to drive off 'depends what route you want to take.. I charge more for the faster route since it covered outside out area of service'
'What if i told you I am in labour, would that make you put your foot down' Sherlock barked at the driver
The cabby turned round, looked Sherlock up and down, before nodding, a very subtle reaction to the situation. And did as he was told.
Mycroft smiled 'And I believe it is good of you to finally admit THAT' raising an eyebrow at his brother.
40 minutes out of the 45 it was supposed to take them to get back using this all and mighty 'faster' route, and they had barely gotten 11 out of the 22 miles it took to get back.
Mycroft glanced over at his now struggling brother, he had taken his seat belt off to get more comfortable, groaning now at the sensation of the lengthening contractions.
Mycroft sighed and moved closer to his brother, sitting opposite him now.
Sherlock's one arm was now wrapped tightly around his tummy, groaning and shifting in his seat.
Mycroft broke the 20 minutes of silence they had had;
'We need to get you to a hospital.'
'NO' Sherlock growled through gritted teeth
'Sherlock the baby is clearly coming' Mycroft reminded him, as if he needed any reminding
'I will not to go hospital… I will have it in the damn cab if I have to..' Sherlock gasped as his pain came to an end for the moment.
'But your heart' Mycrofts voice sounding softer
Sherlock stopped, he had forgotten about his damn heart... about the whole cesarean suggestion that many months ago
The cabby turned round to face the men. 'Anything I can do lads let me know!'
Mycroft smiled at she small plump man 'Yes thank you, were fine for now'
The cabby grinned back and turned back round.
'I don't believe you' Anderson shook his head, almost laughing off Sally's accusation
'I don't care mate if you believe me or not'
'But.. No.. I mean.. just no, it's wrong, Greg hated Sherlock, the pair never got along!' Anderson exclaimed
'Well, apparently not' Sally continued to pack her bags up to leave
Sally put her bag over her shoulder and started to walk out, reaching for her car keys.
'Wait!' Sally rolled her eyes as Anderson ran behind her 'Tell me how you know'
She sighed 'Get in my car'
Anderson looked round before getting in the front passenger seat, and waited for Sally to throw her things in the boot, before getting in next to him.
Sally sat back in her seat, both hands on the wheel 'I saw the pair of them kissing in the office.'
Anderson scoffed loudly 'Oh come on!'
'No, I saw them, at least twice now.. not just a peck either! proper full on... tongues...'
The pair of them grimaced at the thought, before Sally continued
'The third time it looked like they were about to do something, hands on each other.. I confronted Lestrade about it, of course he just laughed it off and called me crazy, but i kept catching them, the way they looked at each other, always taking his badges, his ID's... then they were smashed that pub quiz night, and Greg got them both a cab. They live the opposite sides of London. And now, more or less 9 months later, bastard is having a kid, and Lestrade goes rushing off from maybe one of the biggest cases of his career.'
Anderson sat, mouth slightly open, taking it all in, trying to poke a hole in the logic, still wanting to laugh it off at any minute.
Sally continued again ' The way that man looked at him, when he had collapsed that once, he almost forgot what was around him, including me, the way he looked at that mans face, the way he touched him and he didn't seem right for the rest of the day even when he found out he was OK'
Anderson shifted his eyes around, trying again to take it all in
'I didn't even realise Sherlock WAS pregnant.. are you sure?' he questioned
'He is! I've seen it' Sally exclaimed 'He tries to hide it through that coat.. i saw it again today'
Anderson sat, feeling somehow awkward all of a sudden
'Hes left his wife now too' Sally continued
Anderson's face lit up 'Oh my god, yeah.. what for him?!'
Sally exhaled slowly 'Must have been!' There was a silence between the pair.. 'Left his wife for him.. must be romantic..'
40 minutes later and still 3 miles off their destination
Sherlock was very restless at this point, his coat now off and strewn to one side of the cab. Finally revealing his bump under that thin black jumper. Mycroft sat close to him, trying to comfort him best he could.. not being used to this.
