The Crew rushed to Manocoran to find a cure for Aurora who had been injected with some sort of virus that prevents her from shape-shifting and will cause her to go mad. So said Sintel.

"I'll kill that witch if I ever see her again!" Yelled Cano punching the wall leaving a huge dent.

Hal sighed. He had been trying to calm Cano down but everything he did only made it worse. He would rather be flying the ship but since he was the captain he was responsible for the well being of the crew. Ghia'ta had offered to help but Hal insisted that he could calm Cano down by himself. He now wished that he had excepted her help. But while Hal was lost in thought Cano smashed a hole through the wall that led to the room next door which happened to be Hal's.

"That's it!" Stated Hal.

Hal then called Ghia'ta to come and deal with Cano because he had it.

When Ghia'ta arrived Cano was sitting on his bed with his head hanging down and arms resting on his knees.

"Cano?" Asked Ghia'ta.

Cano looked up at her. He looked like he had just watched the murder of a loved one. Which was expected since he had watched his cousin shoot his other cousin who he always considered his little sister.

"Ghia'ta?"

"Cano."

Ghia'ta walked over and sat beside Cano. She was unsure of how to comfort the Volkerian. She had never dealt with someone in so much pain before. Perhaps that was because on her planet no one ever had to worry about pain or sorrow. But when she had been killed by Atrositus everyone on her planet morned her.

"Ghia'ta?"

"Yes Cano."

"Could you please tell me why you are here?"

"I'm here because I want to comfort you. You are in pain and no one understands what you going through. Believe me, I don't know how too help you but I will help you in any way I can."

"You are too kind Ghia'ta. How did I get so lucky to meet you?"

Ghia'ta turned Cano's head so that he faced her and was not looking at the floor when she answered. She had been waiting for him to ask a question like this for so long because it was the perfect way too tell how she really felt.

"Because you love me and I love you. We were destined to meet and to complete one another's lonely hearts."

Cano starred at her confused. Did she just say she loved him?

While Cano starred at her with a stunned look on his face she grabbed his face and brought her face close to his and kissed him!

The sensation that Cano now felt was one he thought he would never be able to feel. Love. The love that two souls felt when they made their vows to be together forever and for always. The love felt when a bride and groom say "I do." and start their life together. This was True Love and he enjoyed the fact that he was not the only one who felt it.

Cano kissed Ghia'ta back and when they parted he forgot why he was angry.

"Thank you Ghia'ta."

"For what?"

"For being there for me and for telling me how you truly felt."

Ghia'ta smiled. She was just glad that Cano was no longer upset and that she finally was able to tell Cano how she felt.

"Let us go join the others."

Ghia'ta nodded and left the room. But what they didn't know was that two gl's were listening and watching them and it wasn't LANOS and the portable A.I RIVER that Aurora had brought with her when she joined the team. These two were in the room next door and was spying on them through the hole in the wall.

The gl's laughed quietly too themselves. But their victory was short lived because a very angry volkerian and star sapphire burst into the room.

"You two are dead!" Yelled Cano as he turned into a wolf and pounced on Hal and Guy.

But Guy and Hal were fast and dodged the giant k9 and slip past the star sapphire and made tracks while two angry aliens chased them.

"This is going to be a long flight." Said Kilowog to Galia.

the two were making their way too fix the hole in the wall but it was to late for that. Especially since Cano and Ghia'ta were about too turn Hal and Guy into minced meat.

When the team arrived on Manocoran they were greeted an alien with a long neck, big, black, oval eyes and had three fingers on each of its hands.

"Tar nic Cano." Said the Alien.

"Tar nic Shebara." Replied Cano.

"Ar ken scrashij Aurora?"

"Nu. Aurora tin nashinic tuta Sintel."

"Krashentay! Sintel renf takan drired Aurora!"

"Qa. Shebara tutu asntian Aurora?"

"Qa."

The alien then signalled for two aliens with four arms, Six big, black, oval eyes. The two then took Aurora on a stretcher into a large palace like building.

"Hey Cano. Can I ask you something?" Asked Hal.

"Yes. What is it?"

"Why can't we understand Shebara?"

"Because her species has the ability to chose if a power ring can translate what she is saying. Luckily I can speak Qutaran fluently."

As they contiued their walk, Gryphus noticed that some of the aliens were giving only his parents rather cold looks and not the GL's, reds, pinks or the blue lanterns.

"Hey Cano?" Whispered Gryphus.

"Yeah. What is it Gryphus?"

"Why are these aliens giving my parents cold stares and not the others?"

"I think it is because of what your parents did in the past."

"What did they do?"

"That's a story for your parents to tell you another day."

Gryphus was confused. What had his parents done to receive so much hatred.

"Hey Gryphus!" Called Falco.

"What?"

"Nara and I are going to the garden with mom, dad, and Guy Gardner. You wanna come?"

"Sure. See you later Cano."

"See ya later Gryphus." Said Cano

When they entered the garden it was filled with flowers of every kind of red, yellow and orange while all the leaf plants were dark midnight blue.

"This place is amazing!" Said Nara.

"Yes it is." Said Razer.

But while they were admiring the plants. Gryphus noticed two sets of crystal blue eyes starring at them from a nearby bush. As he crept closer the two sets of eyes vanished! He decided too follow them.

"Hey!" Called Gryphus as the two figures dashed away in an attempt too lose him.

He chased them through the vegetation but these two were fast. Luckily he was too. When they neared an opening the two figures were easy two see but if they reached the clearing he would lose them so when they were about to exit he pounced on them sending them all crashing into a tree.

"OW! Get off of me!" Said one of the two figures who was male by the sound of it.

"Sorry. I just wanted too talk to-" Gryphus stopped mid centence because he now saw that these two were a boy and girl his age and were both Volkerian like him.

"What are you starring at? Never seen another Volkerian before?" Said the girl.

"Other than my parents, brother and sisters and cousin. Then my answer is no." Replied Gryphus dusting himself off.

"Well that's too bad. You would probably would know better to tackle someone from behind if you don't know what is in front of you if you did." Said the boy.

"My name's Gryphus by the way."

"I'm Zephron Killian Taren Havenstar. But you can call me Zeph." Said the boy.

"And I'm Scarlett Airrien Havenstar. If you couldn't tell me and Zeph are twins." Said the girl.

Now that Gryphus could see them better he could see that Zeph was wearing normal volkerian clothing but he wasn't wearing a hood like he was and he had white hair with streaks of blue and green in it and his suit was a mix of blue, green, orange and yellow. His markings resembled Razer's but only one line ran down from his eyes and he had none on his chin.

Scarlett was no different. She had red hair with a few streaks of blue in it. She wore a top that looked like what a normal volkerian female would wear with skirt. She did wear a skirt but it was short and she wore a pair of what looked like boot cut pants underneath. All in all she looked like a girl in boys clothing. Boys clothing that was red, blue and green. Her markings were like her brothers but were zig-zags.

"So why were you guys spying on me and my family?" Asked Gryphus.

"We thought we heard our dad's voice but it was just your dad." Said Scarlett.

"What dose your dad look like?"

"We don't know. We've never met him. But we have heard recordings of his voice." Said Zeph.

"And your dad sounded a lot like him." Said Scarlett.

Gryphus felt sorry for them. Too grow up without knowing what your father looks like is terrible. He should know.

"Gryphus!"

Gryphus turned too see his family.

"Mom! Dad! Sorry I ran off like that but-"

"But nothing! You are in so much trouble. You realize that the aliens here are not that friendly and if one of them got a hold you we may have never seen you again!" Shouted Razer.

"Sorry Dad. But I have a good reason why I ran off."

"And that would be?"

"To follow these two." Said Gryphus pointing at Zeph and Scarlett.

"We are sorry for spying on you. It was our fault Gryphus ran off. He wanted to follow us and find out why we were spying." Said Zeph looking at the ground as if waiting for someone to smack him upside the head.

"Zeph? Scarlett? Is that you?" Said Razer.

"You know who we are?" Said Scarlett.

"Of course I do. I'm your father."

There was silence. Zephron looked up tears starting to stream down his face.

"Did you just say that you were are dad?" Asked Zeph.

Razer nodded.

"Dad!" Said Scarlett tackling Razer with a hug that nearly nocked him over.

"Wait that means you guys are Aurora's younger brother and sister. And that means you're our brother and sister as well!" Said Falco with a smile.

"Zeph aren't you happy?" Asked Gryphus.

"I am but I just remembered that Scarlett and I are not allowed to talk to dad."

"Why?"

"Because if our older twin brother and sister find out they'll kill dad! And you guys!"

"Got that right." Said a voice.

They all turned around to see a volkerian boy and girl the same age as Scarlett and Zeph. They both wore black and had white hair with streaks of grey and black. The boy wore a suit like Zeph's but his was black and grey like Razer's normal cloths. He also wore a black cloak and had two blades one on either side of him. He also had a long scar running down one side of his face. His markings looked like a crossover between Razer's and Ilana's.

The Girl Had a uniform that looked like Scarlett's but hers was black, white and midnight blue. She also wore a cloak but hers was navy blue. She also had weapons but she only had two knifes on her hips. Her markings were two straight lines that ran down from her eyes on an angle.

"Luna! Shard! Please except my apologize. I didn't know they were here! Please forgive me and Scarlett!" Pleaded Zeph.

Zeph was grovelling at Shard and Luna's feet.

"Pathetic. Just pathetic Zeph." Said Luna.

"Now sister let us not judge him. After all he can't see out of his right eye so how could he know that Aya and Razer were here. We sent him and Scarlett to look for their kids so I'm not surprised that they ran into them." Said Shard.

"What do you want?" Said Hal now stepping in.

"Us? We don't want anything. We just got to keep you away from Aurora until my older brother Feralscream gives her the antidote."

"What!?"

"But since I told you I'm now going to have to battle you that way you don't interfere."

Shard then pulled out a black ring that looked like Sintel's while Luna pulled out a midnight blue ring with a crescent moon on it.

"With shadows loyal and nightmares true. We spread terror and fear as we fly and twist your hearts to fear and dread. Evil is our power. Shadow lanterns night!" Said Shard.

He was then engulfed in shadows and when the shadows settled he was dressed in a black version of Razer's old red lantern uniform.

"With black sky's and light purer than the sun. We will send the dreams of night and war. Evil worships our might. Night lanterns might!" Said Luna.

She was then engulfed in a black light and when it settled she was dressed in a uniform that looked like Aya's but hers was black with midnight blue with it.

"Zeph! Scarlett! Go back to the ship." Said Shard.

They nodded and left for the ship.

"Now let us have some fun." Said Luna.

She and Shard then tried to blast them. But they put up a sheild just in time to stop the blast. Shard then rushed Hal, sending him flying into Razer. Guy saw this and tried to attack Shard from behind but was nocked over by Luna. Guy got back on his feet but was nocked down by Shard. Hal and Razer tried to get the drop on Shard but Shard was fast quick and kicked both of them in the face.

"Looks like you two are having fun." Said a voice.

All the lanterns looked up to see another shadow lantern. He had a suit like Shard's but he didn't have a helmet so his white and black hair was visible. He was a volkerian and, like shard, he had markings like Razer's but his were zig-zags like Scarlett's.

"Feralscream. I trust you gave Aurora the antidote." Said Shard.

Feralscream smirked.

"Yes I did and I also got too teach Cano a lesson on loyalty."

"Alright then. Sorry lanterns but we will have to finish this another time."

With that Shard, Luna and Feralscream flew off.

"Cowards!" Yelled Guy.

"Guy! Razer! We need to get back too the others. You heard them. Feralscream might have attacked the others!" Said Hal.

The lanterns nodded. They then gathered Aya and her kids and they all raced to check on their friends.

"I see. So you came into contact with them." Said Faolan.

Shard, Luna, Scarlett, Zeph, Feralscream and Sintel had just returned from their little battle with the lanterns and were now kneeling at Faolan who sat in a throne made of leather, bone and silver.

"Sir shall I send word too the other clans and tribes?" Said a warrior.

This warriors name was Ramaour. He was a blood lantern who served Faolan. His markings were arrows and a v on his chin.

"No Ramaour. I want you to alert my sister Icerift. I want you tell her to put up a storm barrier. We must protect the people and the lantern stones."

With that Ramaour bowed and left.

"As for the rest of you. I want you to prepare your troops. We will soon be needing them."

Shard and the others bowed and left.

'Now the stone has changed course. Only the gods know where it will stop.' Thought Faolan.

Faolan looked at the palm of his hand where the mark of a swirling star and moon was.

"Fate is strange. It is neither kind nor malevolent but can change with only one word, thought or breath."
