Chapter 11: Reconsidering

Ron was sent to Azkaban awaiting trial, Kingsley picked him up at the burrow and told the Weasley family that the trial would be from a week from when he picked him up. Severus was ecstatic about Ron's punishment, for Hermione, after a few days recovering in the hospital wing and thinking about what has occurred with Ron, she came to the conclusion that they have over reacted and that yes, Ron deserves punishment, but not enough to send him to prison. Even though he did beg her to do his homework, she accepted so technically, it was partly her fault for her situation. Severus was by her bedside just keeping her company when Hermione began speaking to him.

"Severus?" Hermione started out.

"Yes love?"

"I don't think Ron should be put in Azkaban." She stated. Severus raised his eyebrows

"What? Why?" He was shocked. Hermione sighed, almost holding her breath.

"Because, he didn't really force me to do anything, yes, be begged me to do it, but I agreed. It is partly my fault for my situation." Hermione said, she heard a little growl coming from Severus, which she knew he disagreed.

"But Hermione, Weasley deserves everything that we throw at him. He almost killed you with his laziness." Severus said. Hermione looked down, not having eye contact with him.

"I don't think so Sev, Think about it, now that a few days has gone by and everything kind of cooled down, do you honestly think that because of being lazy should land you in Azkaban?" Hermione asked him. There was a moment of silence before Severus spoke.

"No. But he does deserve to be expelled." Severus admitted.

"Sev, can you go get Professor Dumbledore? I want to talk to him about Ron." Asked Hermione. Severus nodded his head and left to go get the headmaster.

About ten minutes later, Severus showed up with Albus, which seemed concerned.

"Good afternoon Ms. Granger, Severus said you wanted to talk to me?" Albus said as he pulled up a chair next to her bed.

"Yes Headmaster, I don't think Ron should go to Azkaban." Hermione stated, Albus seemed just as shocked as Severus was, but once Hermione explained why, and after a few minutes of thinking about it, he realized that this whole thing was an overreaction.

"I see, he may not deserve to go to Azkaban, I'll go talk to Kingsley, but he will be expelled. His actions does not come without consequences." All three agreed and Albus left the hospital wing to give the two love birds some time alone.

"Are you sure you want to go through with this?" Severus asked holding her hand and messaging it.

"I'm sure Sev, he may not be my friend anymore, but he doesn't deserve to go to prison." Hermione said. She yawned, and rested her head on her pillow staring at Severs with a smile on her face. Severus, who rarely smiles, smiled back at her and kissed her sweetly on her lips and watch her fall asleep.

A few days later, Harry came by to visit Hermione and saw Madam Pompfry by her bedside. He assumed that she was evaluating her.

"Hey Hermione, Madam Pompfry" Harry said approaching her bed.

"Harry! I have amazing news!" Hermione excitingly said.

"And what is that?"

"I'm being released! I'm FREE!" with a huge smile on her face.

"That is wonderful! When can you leave?" Asked Harry.

"Just as soon as Professor Snape comes and sign me out."

"Before you go Ms. Granger, there's still a few rules I need you to follow." Madam Pompfry said.

"What exactly is that Poppy?" Severus said. He practically came out of nowhere. Hermione had this huge look on her face.

"Professor! You're here!" Hermione smiled.

"Of course I am, I am, after all, escorting you out." Severus said back.

"Well for one, I do not want you carrying anything over 5 pounds for two weeks, and I still want you resting during that time, you can go back to class, but no physical work. I do have some pain potions for you. Do you understand?" Madam Pompfry said.

"Yes, of course, is there anything else?" Hermione asked.

"As long as you follow my instructions, you should be as good as new. In two weeks' time." Poppy said.

"Are you finally ready to go?" Harry asked.

"YES! Let's GO!" Hermione said hopping off the bed and stood by Severus' side.

"Well, onward then. I'll see you later Madam Pompfry." Severus said, and the Trio walked out of the hospital wing, Harry went to the Great hall for lunch and Hermione and Severus went to his chambers for a nap.

N/A I hope you like it, I know last chapter it was a little over dramatic, but that was my plan. I know there has been situations where people get really hot headed and the problem's get over heated and over exaggerated. I'm sure you know what I mean. Please R&R
