I suck, I know. I made you guys wait for almost a month and I am so sorry. I am not going to make up excuses as to why it has taken me so long. I will say that it might take me a little long to get the next one out. I am now working nights. Enjoy!

Troy woke up and heard the shower already going. He sat up and winced, "Fuck. I knew sleeping on the couch was a bad idea." He stood up and went into the bedroom to get clothes. Gabriella came out of the bathroom in her towel and went to grab her clothes. Troy went to say good morning but decided it was probably better to not say anything. He went in the bathroom and showered.

Gabriella got dressed and went out to the kitchen to wait for Troy to finish getting ready.

When he got ready they silently got in the car and headed to the church to meet Gabriella's family. The car ride only took thirty minutes but it seemed like days. They both thought it was a little weird since they have never had a car ride where they have never talked to each other. Troy would glance at Gabriella every few minutes but Gabriella kept looking out the window refusing to look at him.

When they arrived at the church they went in and found Gabriella's family.

"Auntie Gabby!" Gabriella's niece Gianna yelled when she saw her aunt come into the church causing Gabriella to smile.

"Gianna please sit down," Gabriella's sister Juliana said.

"Sorry," the two year old said as she sat down next to her very pregnant mother.

"Hey Gigi," Gabriella said as she picked up Gianna and sat down with her on her lap, leaving the only available seat for Troy to take was three rows behind her next to her father. He looked disappointed when she took that seat and slowly walked back to the seat next to Carson.

"Merry Christmas Mr. Montez," he said as he sat down next to him.

"Merry Christmas Troy," he said while looking between him and Gabriella, "Want to tell me why my daughter chose to sit with a two year old who can't really sit still in church on this very early morning of our savior's birth?"

"She is mad at me." Troy said quietly as mass was starting.

"That makes senses since she hasn't turned around to see where you are seating." Carson said with a slight smile.

"She would probably rather me sit out in the parking lot."

Carson laughed lightly and turned his attention back to mass.

The mass seemed to go by pretty quickly and afterwards they went back to Gabriella's parents house and sat around the tree.

"Hi Twoy," Gianna said when she saw him walk in and watched as he sat down on the ground.

"Hey Gianna," he said smiling at her.

She walked over to him and sat down on his lap, "Were you in church?"

"Yes I sat next to your Papa."

"Why?"

Troy smiled at her, "It was the only seat I could find."

"You sit with Auntie Gabby all the time. But you sit here and she sit there," she pointed to Gabriella who was sitting on the couch next to Juliana, watching Gianna interact with Troy.

"Alright, let's open some presents," Mr. Montez said, bailing Troy out. Troy sent him a grateful looking as Gianna got up and ran over to her presents under the tree.

In the mean time Juliana looked at Gabriella, "First fight?"

"I'd rather not talk about it. It's Christmas and I don't want to ruin it." She answered without looking at Juliana.

"Come with me," Juliana got up and pulled Gabriella with her. Her husband looked at her with confusion, "We will be right back, just keep filming her and I'll watch it later okay," she leaned down and kissed him. When they got to the kitchen she turned towards Gabriella, "alright let's have it."

"Have what?" Gabriella asked.

"Okay look, I am heavily pregnant, my due date is in three days and my two year old is currently opening her Christmas presents for her real first Christmas because the last one didn't really count because she was more excited about the wrapping paper. I am in no mood to play around. Clearly you and Troy are in a fight and I want to know why."

"We had sex yesterday…"

"You two have sex every day," Camilla said entering the kitchen, "why are you two acting weird?"

"Gabriella is telling me why she and Troy are fighting." Juliana said while looking Camilla, before looking at Gabriella, "Continue."

"After we came home from work we had sex in the shower while we we…"

"Why are my three daughters talking about Gabriella and Troy having sex on Christmas while my granddaughter is opening presents?"

"Oh dear god," Juliana placed her head on the counter, "We are trying to find out why Gabriella and Troy are fighting."

"Well can we make it quick Gianna is looking for her mother?"

"He said that there was no way his family would know even though he knew they would. And as soon as we walked in his grandmother said something about it."

"That's a stupid reason to be mad at him," Juliana said while walking back into the living room.

Gabriella rolled her eyes as Camilla just shook her head and walked back into the living room as well.

"Gabby, why are you really mad at him?"

"Because he lied to me just so he could have sex with me."

"Most guys do that."

"Mom! You are supposed to be on my side."

"Why? Because you are my daughter?"

"Yes."

"Gabriella, Troy didn't mean to make you mad at him. And although I am probably going to regret this statement I am going to say it. You probably knew that he was lying but you wanted to have sex just as much as he did, so you believed him."

"So I shouldn't be mad at him?"

"Not anymore. I can see being angry at him for like twenty minutes but was it worth it?"

"Was what worth it?"

"The sex?"

"Mom!"

"Well was it?"

"I really don't want answer that."

"The blush on your cheeks answers it for you," Lupita said with a smile. "I don't think that you should still be mad at him. Maybe you should even apologize to him for being mad at him for really no reason."

"Well there was a reason," Gabriella said weakly.

"I am thinking the great sex nullifies the fact he lied," Lupita said while walking into the living room.

"Mom," Gabriella said shaking her head. She got up and went back into the living room and noticed that the only seat available was the one next to where Troy was sitting on the floor. Gabriella looked at her sisters and mother who refused to look back but she could see them trying not to smile.

When Gabriella walked back into the room Troy looked at her for a second and then looked back at Gianna who was still opening all her presents. Gabriella sat down next to Troy and it took his all not to touch her. They both watched as Gianna opened the next present.

"A doll! This is the one I wanted!" Gianna yelled in joy.

"Troy got you that one," Juliana said with a smile.

Gianna ran over and gave him a huge hug, "Thank you Troy! I love it!"

Troy smiled and hugged her back, "You're welcome Gianna."

She smiled at him and kissed his cheek, "I love you Troy."

"I love you too Gianna."

Gabriella took a deep breath and looked at her mother who was smiling at her.

Troy stood up, "I'll be right back," he walked into the kitchen and got a class of water.

"What's going on Troy?"

"Jesus, Mr. Montez, you scared me."

"How many times do I have to tell you to call me Carson."

"I know I am working on it. Can I ask you a question?"

"Of course," he answered as he sat down in the seat across from Troy.

"What would you say if I asked for Gabriella's hand in marriage?"

Carson stopped mid sip and looked at Troy, "Are you asking me that?"

"Asking what?"

Carson put his cup on the table and smiled slightly, "Are you asking for Gabriella's hand in marriage?"

"If I was, what would you say?"

"Are you?"

"If I was?"

"Are you?"

"Maybe."

"Maybe?" Carson gave him a pointed look.

Troy took a deep breath, "I love your daughter…"

"I know you do, I am not questioning your love for her. I am asking if you are asking me if you can marry her. So are you asking me that?"

Troy took another deep breath while looking at his glass, "she is mad at me. I know I messed up but I didn't think she would be this mad at me. I mean I was expecting her to be mad at me for maybe twenty minutes but not this long."

"If you don't mind me asking, what did you do to piss her off?"

"It's a little awkward to speak about with you, as you are her father."

"It had to do with sex, didn't it."

"Mr. Montez, please. I don't really feel comfortable talking about my sex life with your daughter to you. All I will say is that I might have lied to her ab…"

"You lied so you could have sex, every guy does it. I have done it."

"Mr. Montez please," Troy shifted in his seat uncomfortably.

"Look Troy, I know that this is weird, I feel weird. But I like you. You're a great guy. You have a great job, a great head on your shoulders, and a great relationship with your family. I would love to have you be a part of ours."

"Please Mr. Montez, I… wait what did you say?" Troy said looking up from his glass.

"I said yes, you have my permission to marry my daughter. I have to say I'm impressed that you actually asked for permission. What would you have done if I said no?"

Troy sighed, "Probably pretend to get a call from the hospital, go back home, lock myself in the bedroom and cry."

"Really?"

"Well I wouldn't really cry but I would probably leave and drive around for a while before heading over to my families, where I would sit in the corner and wait till I could leave."

"What about Gabriella?"

"What about her?"

"Would you have left her here? I know how much she has been looking forward to spending Christmas with your family."

Troy looked a little surprised, "Really?"

Carson nodded his head, "Yes, she loves spending time with your family. She would be really upset if she wasn't able to spend Christmas with them."

"Well good thing you said I could marry her."

"Marry who?" Lupita said entering the kitchen.

"Troy asked to marry Gabriella," Carson said looking at his wife.

Lupita gasped and looked between a Carson who had a big smile on his face and a Troy who was looking down at his glass shyly. "Are you serious?"

Troy nodded, "Yes, I would love to marry your daughter, today."

Carson looked at him, "Wait, today?"

Troy nodded again, "Yes, today at my parents."

"In Nashua?" Lupita asked sitting down next to her husband.

Troy sighed, "Yes I know how important it is to her that you would all be there. I would like if you were all there when I ask her."

Lupita started to cry, "I can't believe it. My baby girl is getting married."

Troy sat back in her chair, "Well that's if she says yes."

"Of course she will," Carson said standing up, "even if she is mad at you."

Troy laughed slightly, "That's what makes me nervous."

The door to the living room opened and Gianna came into the kitchen, "Twoy, it's your turn!"

Troy smiled at her and got up, "All right let's go," he picked her up and went back into the living room. He sat back down and placed Gianna on his lap. "Do you want to help me opened them?"

"Yes!" Gianna jumped up and down in his lap causing him to grunt and the others to laugh. Troy looked at them and saw Gabriella smiling, but she stopped when she saw Troy look at her.

"This pile here is Troy's, okay?" Juliana said pointing out to Gianna where to pick from.

Gianna grabbed one the presents and brought it over to Troy, "Here Twoy."

"Thank you Gianna. Want to help me open it?"

Gianna ripped the paper off the box and opened it. She looked confused, "What is it?"

Troy laughed, "It's a tie."

"What's a tie?"

"Something adults wear." Troy said with a smile.

"That's weird," Gianna said as she went and got the next present. It was the last present in Troy's pile and Gianna handed it to Troy.

"Open this one slowly okay," he said as he held the envelope. She opened carefully and pulled out two tickets. "Oh my god," Troy whispered under his breath.

"What are these?" Gianna asked confused.

"These are tickets to this year's World Cup in Brazil," Troy said in disbelief. He looked over at Gabriella who was looking at Gianna not at Troy, "How did you get these tickets?"

"I bought them online," she said softly.

"These tickets have been sold out for months and it isn't even happening till June. I have been trying to find someone who was willing to sell their tickets and no one was. I can't believe you got tickets. I can't believe I am going to the FIFA World Cup in Brazil." Troy placed Gianna on the ground next to him and got up, walked over to Gabriella, grabbed her face and kissed her. "Thank you. You don't know what this means to me."

Gabriella sighed, "You're welcome."

Troy went and sat back down next to Gianna and picked her back up and grabbed the tickets from her hands, "Can we watch a movie?" Gianna asked while cuddling into Troy.

"Yes we have time till Gabby and Troy have to leave." Camille said while getting up and putting in the Christmas Story.

They all settled into their seats and watched the movie. Well everyone except for Gabriella, who spent most of the time watching Troy and Gianna on the floor. She couldn't help but smile seeing him cuddled with her niece.

When the movie ended Gianna was asleep and Troy had to have help getting up. Gabriella and Troy gathered all of their gifts, said goodbye to her family, and drove to Troy's Grandmother's house.

"Gabriella!" Nicholas yelled as he ran and jumped on her.

Gabriella laughed, "Hey Nicky."

"Hey Nick," Troy said.

"Hi," he turned back to Gabriella, "Come sit with me." He pulled her towards the living room.

Troy sighed and turned towards his mom, "I remember when he did that with me."

His mom laughed, "don't be jealous, Troy."

"So is she still mad at you?" his Grandma asked.

"Yes Grandma she is." His grandma, mother, and nan gave him a look.

They went into the living room and sat down. Troy took a breath and followed them in. There were several seats available but Troy decided that he would was going to just stand.

It took a long time for all the little kids to open their presents. But once they were done they all ate dinner and returned back to the living room where they sat to watch the Christmas Story.

"We watched this earlier," Gabriella said while Nicky sat down in her lap.

Troy decided to take a chance and sat down next to Gabriella. She shifted away from him and kept looking at the TV. There was a knock at the door and Troy's dad went and opened it. Gabriella looked shocked to see her family there, "What are you guys doing here?"

"Troy invited us earlier," her dad said while they all sat down and watched the movie.

Troy couldn't focus on the movie because every time Gabriella and him touched she would pull away from him like he had a disease. Finally he couldn't take it anymore and he got up and walked into the kitchen.

"Twoy, why did you leave?" Troy turned and saw Nicky standing in the door, "this is your favorite movie."

"I know bud, I'll be back in a minute alright?"

Nicky nodded and went back into the living, while Troy stayed in the kitchen pacing.

"What's wrong?" Carson asked when he entered the kitchen.

"I don't know if I can do it." Troy said without looking at him.

"Do what?" Jack said entering the kitchen.

"Troy is going to ask Gabriella to marry him." Carson answered for Troy as he leaned against the counter.

"Wow, really?" Jack asked as he sat. "I thought you were going to wait."

"I was but I want to ask her, but I don't think I can."

"Why don't you do it now?"

"Now?"

"Yeah I agree now would be good," Carson said.

"Now. I'll do it now." Troy took a big sigh and walked towards the door before stopping and turning around. "I can't do it."

Both fathers sighed and rolled their eyes, "this is going to take a while," they both said at the same time.

After about twenty minutes Jack got up and grabbed Troy's shoulder, "You need to just go in and ask her to talk.

"Okay." Troy took a deep breath and went into the living room.

Jack looked at Carson, "Hopefully he doesn't walk back out of that door.

"Hopefully," Carson said laughing.

They walked into the living room.

"Gabriella, can I talk to you for second?" Troy asked hoping that she would say yes but knowing that there was a chance she could say no.

Gabriella looked at her mother, who nodded her head, "Yeah sure."

She followed him outside and watched as he paced around for a few seconds. "Troy, why did you ask me out here?"

Troy took a deep breath and walked over to where she was standing with her arms crossed. He looked at her for a few seconds.

"Seriously Troy why…"

"I know that I am not your favorite person right now. I know that you aren't happy with what happened and I don't blame you."

"Troy I don't want to talk about this right now," she went to go back in the house.

"Wait," he grabbed her arm and turned her back towards him, "let me finish okay?"

She took a breath and nodded her head.

He took another breath, "I know you're mad and I don't blame you but I have had this planned for a while. Even before Derek's accident." Gabriella looked really confused at Troy.

"What are you talking about?"

"Let me finish okay?" he asked as he walked away from her, "I had this whole speech that I was going to say and here I am." He threw his arms up and Gabriella could tell he was more talking to himself at that moment. He turned back towards her, "You're mad at me and have barely looked at me all day. This was not how today was supposed to happen. It was supposed to be a perfect day! And it's not. But you know what, who cares. Forget my speech; it was stupid and full of corny things anyways. I mean if I was girl and a guy said half of the stuff that I was planning on saying I would say no."

"Say no to what?" Gabriella asked as she walked up to where he was standing.

Troy just shook his head, "never mind I should have just waited till you didn't hate me."

Gabriella grabbed his hands, "First of all I don't hate you. Am I mad at you? Yes. Do I know why? Not really. I shouldn't have been so upset about what happened, but that's what happens when you're a woman. Secondly, you have been rambling and the only thing I could figure out was that you wanted to ask me a question. Just ask me, I promise you that I will answer it as honestly as possible."

"Marry me."

Gabriella's eyes went really wide, "I'm sorry what?"

Troy took a breath and went down on his knee, "Gabriella Maria Montez, will you marry?"

Gabriella looked at him with tears in her eyes, "Are you serious?"

"As serious as a heart attack," he took the ring out of his pocket and waited for her to answer.
