S.D.:G.S. 7.

Shaggy was sitting at the table, Scooby still sleeping at his feet, but something was off. The stack of papers were gone, it had been under his hand a moment ago, and Scooby was laying in a different position then before. He hadn't felt him move and only noticed because he had looked down in search of the papers.

He realized something had happen, he couldn't remember what but he missed something. 'Like, she did something.' he thought to himself as he searched the room for Mrs. G., who was absent from the room. Giving Scooby a quick tap with his foot, Shaggy got up and made his way to the front door, Scooby rubbed his eyes with the back of his paws quickly before chasing after Shaggy.

The duo opened the front door and made their way to the van, and Shaggy popped the back doors open. What had once been a bare space for the gang to sleep or relax was now resembling a mixture of Velma's old computer lab from his first mystery machine and a neat storage shed. There was a set of trunks on the right along side a matching set of three floor to ceiling cabinets on each side of the two trunks, the center cabinet was sporting a lock and chain. On the left was modified secretaries desk with both a laptop and printer that had strange silver Asian like markings engraved into them.

Shaggy and Scooby had made quite a few discoveries after breaking away from the gang. One such thing was his, as the British community calls it, "Magi Core". A source of power that had formed inside him before his birth, and he had used unknowingly on Scooby long enough to turn him into the intelligent Familiar he was now. Another was the Tecno-Mages that were so wide spread across Japan, and most of Asia, they had helped him catch up with the magic world after his time with the British and had also hooked him up when it came to upgrading his van and the small mobile lab in the back.

Shaggy let out a small chuckle as he remembered the amazed look His British magic teacher had given him when he showed her the rune work that had been done by the Tecno-Mages, she took his labtop and van captive and locked them away with herself for nearly three weeks before she emerged looking half starved with a crushed look on her face ((there was actually a really funny story about what had happened after that) along with a sad story about what happened after that story, poor, cheating Weasley never could walk properly after she found him with his younger sister).

Turned out that the runes that made his van and computer the amazingly awesome things they were was protected by another Runic system that had a modified ((((Fidilus)))) charm sustained and hidden by multiple Runes under their own charms.

Dropping down into the chair in front of his lab Shaggy lifted the lid of his labtop to begin checking his suspicions. The screen flashed on with a swell of colors, and a slight drain on his core as it did a security check, the screen flashed white before the image of a microphone appeared on a ocean blue background. It was a little bit of extra security, seemingly useless when you consider all the magical ways someone could mimic your voice, but it kept most who didn't have the means to mimic his voice or common sense to understand what a microphone was nor the passphrase from even attempting.

"It seems the lighthouse does simply more then shine the light." The microphone disappeared from the screen and began to operate like a normal run of the mill laptop, the symbol of the company that made the software appears, it's two Chinese dragons, one red, one blue, biting each other's tails as they spun around the yin-yang symbol. Scooby was sitting beside him laughing at his password. "It was a good episode." Shaggy grumbled, Scooby had no taste in TV while they were in Japan, and Shaggy had no love for their disturbing love shows, so Anime it was. He was only able to see the first two episodes between sleeping, eating, and training with the techno-mages, but it had a really good plot set up in those two episodes.

Shaggy brushed away the thoughts of Television with a shake of his head and proceeded to start up the software he needed. Unlike the normal British Wizards the Asian Mages no longer relied on complicated, precise movements, or long complex word structures that if either was done slightly off could result in gruesome mess. The Asian Mages had kept in close contact with their nonmagical counterparts, integrating every possible breakthrough into their ways, staffs became wands, wands, after a few thousand failures, became integrated into electronics, and now they ranged from Phones, Computers, and even a few remotes.

The other Americans he had been with wouldn't stop calling them "Universal Remotes", or "The Clickers" and even "The Michael Newman Device". The inventor, Gunpei Yokol Jr., was extremely confused and Shaggy had to be the one to explain the reference.

Shaggy shook away the distracting thoughts as the started up the scanner. His printer could function as a normal printer/scanner, but the amount of runes carved throughout it gave it a great number of other possibilities, it all depended on the amount of energy you could spare. Despite it being an all around safer practice then the British, Asian Technomancing took a bit more power to do the same spells and feats that the British did.

Lifting the lid to the scanner Shaggy sliced his thumb on the built in blade, hidden on the lip of the lid, that was there for this exact reason. The screen gave a light glow as the blood hit the screen and Shaggy shut the lid. Turning back to his computer he watched as the program scanned his blood. Slowly a list started to appear on the screen showing everything that was in his blood.

A few rows listing the names of the protections his body was under, another dozen or so of the enhancements his body had undergone, and a curse or few that he hadn't felt the need to remove since the positives outweighed the negatives. He was about to dismiss the list when a new row popped up with a name he didn't recognize, and unlike the blues, oranges, and reds of the other names this was a Green, meaning it was a potion.

A quick look through his electronic library gave him that the Potion was an illegal Truth potion. The reason it was illegal was the fact that it not only erased the drinkers short term memory it also reacted negatively with most of the common and advanced health potions that are taken my most on a daily basis for improving health. If he had still been on his potion schedule the truth potion would have become acidic and eaten through his body like him and Scooby at an Amish Buffet.
