Aj's POV
The rest of that day I just spent in bed. Hangovers aren't fun, my head hurts so fucking bad and I threw up twice already. I gotta remember not to go vengeful drinking ever again. But even though I'm not really on the market I can't stop thinking about Roni. There is just something about her that I can't put my finger on it but she interest me. I dunno maybe I just need time because Drunk Aj works in mysterious ways that I don't realize untill later. So I'm not exactly going to push her away completely but I'm going to keep her at arms lengths, just incase my plan doesn't work as planned. So in a way Roni could possably be the if-all-else-fails-plan. I just can't exactly let her find out the whole truth between Aksana and I, as far as I want her to know is everything that happens during the shows is just me following the script.
She doesn't need to know the reality of my true intentions to possiably use her as bait. So I think I'm going to see what she is doing now. Just like she said her number was on the note pad, its cute because she dotted the 'i' with smiley faces. I then saved it in my contacts as Roni I didn't feel the need to put her under a codename like I do to most of my contacts. I do it so it sort of prevents people from being nosey because they don't know who I'm talking too. Like for example I have Layla listed under Lovely Advice, because she is always giving me great advice when I need it. I have my Aksana listed under Wifey with a lot of heart emojis for obvious reasons. And I have Kaitlyn under Norris, because she practically idols Chuck Norris. I also just do it for fun because I think its funny when one of them goes through my phone and they see what I listed them under. But I decided to leave Roni as Roni because you can't tell if its a guy or a girl I'm texting.
"Hey it's Aj from earlier. I just wanted to know what you are doing tomorrow?" I texted her. After it sent I set my phone down and looked out the window. We are currently in Minnesota right now and its snowing. I don't get snow. Like when you think of snow sometimes it is one of the best things to ever happen and it makes you happy. But yet when you look up at the sky its grey and sad, why can't it be a blue sky like on a warm sunny day? My phone then buzzed signaling a message, its from Roni.
"I'm not doing anything tomorrow. Did u want to do something?" She asked.
"Well I was hopeing tht the date was still on the table because I want to get to know u better b4 I have to leave. Plus I need a tour guide so I can explore the city." I might be heartbroken but my flirting skills will always be unharmed. None to mention I've been to this city before tons of times already.
"Ok great I'm free tomorrow after I get off work at 4 if thats good for you?"
"Yea it sounds good to me. And since I told u I think its my turn to ask what ur job is?" I'm a bit curious to know.
"Well I'm a pastry chef, but I currently work in a little bakery. So I get paid to bake goodies and look good doing it!" Ok that got me to giggle a bit. I like her already she has a good sense of humor.
"That's pretty cool so does that mean you can bake me cookies and cupcakes!?" I can't help it I love sugar.
"If its a pastry then I most certainly can! If you can think about it, there's a really good chance I can bake it." Well I can tell this is going to be interesting. From there we just texted back and forth for a while. She is actually a pretty cool person from what I can tell, one day she will make somebody so happy. Not me of course, but someone.
The only person who can make me very happy in every aspect of my life is my lover Zivile. Gah I miss her so much, and I feel so bad for just leaving her standing there. One of the few times these days she came to talk to me, and I just ignored what she wanted and left her standing there. But then I have to remember he is the reason I was mad and emotional enough to not tell her what the problem is. And hopefully that problem will be gone before Monday next week. Anyways tomorrow Roni is coming to pick me up and we are going to get dinner and I'm not sure what after that but she said to bring my competitive side whatever that means. I don't know what she means by that but when it comes to compitition I always bring the heat.

Tomorrow evening
Roni said she would be by to pick me up around 5 and she said to dress in something casual that I wouldn't mind getting messy in. So I decided to wear a vintage video game t-shirt, a pair of faded jeans, and my black Chucks. I didn't bother getting all dolled up because I'm not really trying to impress her or anybody really, so I put on some eyeliner and a little bit of blush and lipstick. I let my hair down because that is the way my Aksana likes it so I wear it down more often. Oh this just hit me I should wear my Space Invaders necklace to match my shirt... Where the hell is it? I could have sworn I packed it I always do. Damn it maybe I left it home or something when I did laundry. Alright well I didn't want to wear a necklace anyway.
*Knock! Knock! Knock!*
So I answered the door and there she was holding a medium sized white box.
"Well you are right on time!" I smiled at her as I stepped to the side so she could enter.
"Yea I don't really like being late." She smiled as she walked in.
"That's fine I just gotta put my shoes on and grab my jacket then we can go." I spoke as I sat on the bed and began to put on my shoes. "Anyways what is in the box?" I asked motioning to her hand.
"Oh its just a little something I made for you at work today." I just smirked and walked over to her.
"If I didn't know any better I'd think you're trying to butter me up." I spoke in a seductive tone as I took the box from her.
"It wouldn't be trying if it worked." She smirked. "Its an Oreo cupcake with a cookies and cream icing. So in a way its a cookie cupcake. You asked if I could make cookies and cupcakes and so I kinda proved it."
"Well you can make it, lets see if its good." I challenged as I opened the box and took out the cupcake and unwrapped it. "You aren't drugging me are you?"
"No."
"Hmm too bad!" I smirked before I bit into it. Oh fuck its actually really good but I'm going to mess with her feelings a bit. So I took the rest of the cupcake and threw it back in the box, I then just glared at her. She looks so confused.
"What you didn't like it? Was it that bad?"
"No I didn't like it!.. I fucking loved it! Damn you must be good at baking." I laughed getting her to let out a sigh of relief.
"Oh good I thought you hated it. And if you want there could be more where that came from!" She spoke hopefully.
"Lets just see how tonight goes." I reasoned before I sat the box down and grabbed my coat.
"Okay lets go then." We then left the hotel and went to a cute little Italian restaurant. I learned a lot about her like she grew up with two older brothers and her parents are divorced. And to my luck she has never watched wrestling before. Good thing because it would be very awkward trying to explain the relationship between Aksana and I. None to mention our downfall and my efforts to get her back. So I didn't really tell her much about any of that, none to mention I don't want her to judge me by looking at Aj. After we finished eating we drove for about ten minutes before we pulled into a place called J&B Paintball.
"I hope you aren't scared to get a little hurt!" She smiled at me as she parked the car.
"Wait are we going paintballing?" I asked surprised.
"Yea I go here all the time its not that bad. Unless you're scared!?" She taunted. I hate being taunted.
"Please everytime I go to work I put my life on the line, so little paintballs don't scare me. Come on let's go so I can kick your butt at your own game." I declared before I started to get out the car. We then began to head inside. This place was huge it has both indoor and outdoor paintball fields. We then walked up to the front desk, and there was a guy with short black hair.
"Hey Roni long time no see!" He spoke.
"Well I've been busy and stuff Benny. Doing baker stuff bakers do. Anyways are there any games going on right now?" She responded.
"Well its good to know that that's going good for you. And there is a game going on in Paintnado Glo-Alley."
"Well that's great that is my favorite course. Let me get two open-ended for it."
"Ok, and who is that cutie behind you? Is she your new friend?" He asked motioning to me.
"Oh jeeze where are my manners! Aj this is Ben. Ben this is Aj. He co-owns this place with his friend Joey." She spoke
"Hi I'm Aj. Nice to meet you." I smiled shaking his hand.
"Ben nice to meet you Aj.. You aren't from around here are you?"
"Nope I'm a Jersey girl. My job requires me to travel a lot." I spoke proudly
"Yea I could tell by your slight accent. Anyways Roni is a good girl you're going to have a lot of fun with her. Anyways here are your wristbands and follow me and we can get you both all suited up to do battle!" He spoke before he walked from behind the counter and took us to a room full of jumpsuits, masks, guns, and paintballs. After putting on our jumpsuits he gave us masks and a gun.
"Ok well I'm sure Roni can explain to you how to use the gun and all the guidelines. I gotta get back to the desk. You two have fun and Roni go easy on her shes new." Ben winked at Roni before he left.
"Anyways its actually pretty simple to use these guns." She then walked closer to me and showed me how to turn it on and off, how to shoot and the proper way to hold it. I couldn't help but notice how excited she looked when she was explaining it to me. I think she might actually genuinely like me but I don't want to hurt her feelings. Fuck why is romance so complicated?
When she finished explaining everything we left the room and walked up steps. I think we walked up three flights until we got to a big bright green door marked Paintnado Glo-Alley.
"After you!" She spoke opening the door for me. And we walked into a medium sized semi-circle room and the walls that were on the round part was made of glass. It must be a very strong glass because it was covered in paintball splatters and it still is being hit from all different directions. But beyond the glass it was a huge playing field well from what I could tell it was being lit up with UV lights making everything in there glow. The room was full of different object like random walls, overturned cars, giant trees that were in half, knocked over powerlines, broken road signs, dented mailboxes. On the walls there were paintings of messed up houses, cows flying in the air, random debris spinning around a huge tornado. Now I get the name Paintnado Glo-Ally because it looks like a tornado tore through there, and then it rained glow-in-the-dark paintballs.
"Wow this looks so awesome!" I exclaimed getting her to chuckle.
"I told you it would. Anyways we gotta wait a bit before we can play." She then gestured to a giant clock that had a countdown going. "We have about two minutes until we go to war."
"Wait so are we all on teams or is it every man for themselves?"
"I dunno we have to wait and see." She then grabed me by the jumpsuit and pulled me close to her. "Why did you want to be on my team so you can't lose?" She smirked wrapping her arms around my waist.
"Well only for the first round so I can get a feel of how this works. Then after that I'm going to kick your butt!" I spoke with my best game face.
"I like your enthusiasm but I am a legend around here. So I promise to go easy on you."
"You know I've never been paintballing before?" I spoke honestly she just smiled.
"Well good thing you met me huh? Trust me its really fun, minus the slight pain when you get hit."
"Well I was trained to withstand pain so I think I will be fine. Its just the running in the-" I was cut off by a loud buzzer causing me to jump.
"Hahaha looks like the game is over. Now we just gotta wait for them all to come off the field." She laughed. I just rolled my eyes at her. Then a few seconds later people started to come off the field and into the room we were in. I guess when she said she was a legend she wasn't kidding, it seemed most of those people knew who she was.
"Yea anyways you guys we have a newcomer." She then grabed my hand and pulled me over so I was standing next to her. "Do you want to introduce yourself?" She asked me I nodded and spoke up.
"Well my name is April but you can all just call me Aj. Roni says that this is going to be really fun so I want to see if its true." I spoke simply.
"Well she isn't lying its awesome!" Spoke one of the other players.
"See I told you." Roni spoke looking at me. "Anyways are we playing teams or is it every man for themselves?"
"How about we do two rounds on teams so Aj can see how it works and then we can go every man for themselves." Spoke a different player causing everybody to look at me.
"Sounds good to me!" I smiled
"Alright I will be a Captian, and I need someone else." Spoke Roni. Fuck it I'm feeling a bit cocky so why not.
"I'll be a Captian!" I voulenteered. Everybody looked at me. "Yea team Aj is going to whoop your teams butt. With that being said I need a team." I challenged Roni, then asked the other players.
"I like your confindence. If thats how you want to go fine by me. Alright guys split up I need four on my team and four on Aj's!" Roni declared. Everybody then began to pick sides. "Alright then it's final Team Roni vs. Team Aj lets get in there!" She declared and everybody started to enter the battle field. "Hey can I get a goodluck kiss?"
"Yea you're going to need it!" I smiled before I gave her a kiss. "Now get ready to go down!" Then with that we entered and the teams went to different sides of the field. After giving my team a pep talk we were all ready to go and the three second countdown started.
"Beware the storm in Three... Two... One..." Spoke an automated voice and then like that we all took off guns blazing screaming like banshees. It truely is an extrodinary experience with glow in the dark paintballs wizing at you from locations that you can't detect. And the sounds of the paintballs hitting a target is simply one of a kind. But getting hit with one is a whole different level, because they hurt. I know for a fact I am going to have a lot of bruises all over my body, but after a while you start to welcome the pain. After about ten minutes the buzzer sounded signaling the end of the game so we all went back into the semi-circle room.
"Holy crap that was fun!" I laughed.
"See I told you!" Roni smirked.
"Alright you were right, but by the looks of it... I think I won this round!" I smiled pointing out she had been shot more times then I was. Everybody started to Ooh.
"Ok well that was beginners luck I don't think you can do it again." Roni challenged. I just got in her face.
"If I've done it once I can do it again. I'm already the Diva's Champ and I would love to add J&B Paintball legendary champion to the list." I taunted. Everybody Oohed again.
"Ok great I love competition. Next time I won't go easy on you, and I will show you exactly why they call me Running Roni!" She growled. Damn she's hot when she feels threatened.
"You are all talk but let's see if you can back it up. Team Aj lets show these losers who runs the place!" I declared before we went for round two. We tied that round so whe had to do a tie breaker which my team won again. Then like planned before we all just ran around shooting eachother doing cool tricks and flips, just having a blast. I'm not exacty sure how long we played but it was until it was time to close which was at ten o'clock. So we said our good byes and left back to my hotel, where she held my hand as we walked back to my room.
"I really had fun tonight with you." I smiled as we stood outside my door. "Who would have thought that getting shot at with little pellets of paint was actually really fun?"
"I think really its just the thrill of getting to shoot people and not having to go to jail, and getting shot and not having to have to go to the hospital is the fun part." She reasoned.
"As horriable as that sounds I have to agree with you on that. Even though I now look like a cheetah because of it, I'm addicted." All my stress and anger is gone because I let it out on the battle field. She just smiled and wrapped an arm around me.
"Well that's good to know, that means you have to come back so we can do this again. And besides you make a cute cheetah." She smirked and I couldn't help but blush a little bit.
"Well yea I don't mind dethroning the legend again."
"Ok that was a fluke and you know it! It doesn't matter because in the end I still won. And it won't ever happen again." She teased. I couldn't help but giggle at her childish banter.
"If you say so. Anyways its getting pretty late and I'm tired.. So I guess I will see you before Saturday?"
"Yea totally probably Friday because that is when I gotta go see my guy about your little brother. Its a shame we don't have more time to hangout."
"Yea, but my job has me all over the world. Eventually we will end up here again and you will be first to know." That is if me and Aksana aren't together again yet.
"Thanks... Maybe I could come to one of your shows I would love to see you do what you do best." She suggested.
"Maybe we'll see." I shrugged before I started to open my door. "Anyways so I'll text you later?"
"Ok sounds good to me."
"Alright well thanks again I had fun."
"You're welcome. See you Friday. Bye." And she turned to leave.
"Wait Roni!" She turned to look at me, and I gave her a kiss. "Goodnight!"
"Goodnight Aj." She smiled and I went into my room closing the door behind me. The real problem is how am I going to cover up these bruises? Ehh I can figure that out tomorrow but for now I'm going to finish that cupcake from earlier.
Well that was quite a first date. I've played paintball before infact I have a paintball gun. Its a pistol tho. But it is surprisingly really fun, I had my best friend shot me with my gun because I figured before I can shot someone I have to shoot myself with it first. So he did twice actually and it hurt, well then again he doth me right on the side of my boob it hurt so bad. But lucky me I sometimes like pain so I enjoyed it. But its really not that bad trust me Ive been hit with bebes so I know those hurt more than paintballs. But hey don't knock it till you try it. I dunno about you guys but I kinda ship Aj and Roni as a couple. I dunno we'll see what happens. In other news I recently went down to Atlantic City. And now I know why people get addicted to gambling, no windows, no clocks, bright lights, and murals that make it seem like you are outside and it is a beautiful bright sun shiny day when its like 3am. Its crazy I didn't gamble I'm not old enough to gamble legally yet, but when I am I won't. Okay maybe a little bit. If you want to win you have to be the crane! -Joz
