Another chapter done! I've had a lot of time lately so I'm spending it on writing this book. I can't wait to get the adventure started! There will be more information on Dyn later on but in this chapter, I will mainly be focusing on the children. A lesson that Aranyth and the others will soon learn is that they should never, ever, disobey their parents orders or it will land them into a heap of trouble! Aragorn and the others will appear later as well, but not so much. With that said, enjoy!

That was when I saw it. An outline of what looked to be a tower...A tower radiating with an eerie light.

Everyone fell silent, staring at one another, each having seen what Estel and I had.

A tower that should have been destroyed seventeen years ago.

"It cannot be..." Arathorn breathed, as we simultaneously turned to face Mordor.

"Look!" Faramina pointed and we followed her line of sight, discovering that where the abyss had once been was no longer there! There was solid ground!

"Eru!" Aarya and Elrudyn chimed as Estel and I stood, climbing on top the nearest boulder to get a better view.

"The battlefield has vanished." Estel whispered in disbelief, his eyes drawn back to the Tower.

"This is impossible!" I murmured, shaking my head and rubbing my eyes to find it was still there. "How could that...I do not understand."

"Nor do I." Estel said. We both looked at one another, having thought the same thing.

We were going to check it out.

Just as Estel and I were about to grab our things, Arathorn blocked us. "You cannot be thinking of going in there!" Estel and I nodded.

"Not alone you will not." Elrudyn spoke up. "I sense something...strange at work here." he said and Aarya agreed, having felt the same thing. Faramina twiddled with her fingers, not knowing what to do.

"I do not think it is a good idea to enter that land..." she whispered shyly, hiding her eyes with her hair when we turned to look at her. "I-I-I just have this feeling that i-if we d-d-do...Something w-will go very w-w-wrong." Her voice became nearly inaudible, but lukcily, everyone in the group had Elven blood which enhanced our hearing. Aarya placed a hand on Faramina's shoulder, giving her a comforting smile before facing us.

"I agree with Faramina. Perhaps we should return to Gondor and inform our parents of this...unnatural occurrence." Estel and I's heads perked up at this, looking at one another once again. Hadn't Ada said something concerning 'unnatural things?'

"There are other things out there...unnatural things." His voice rang in our heads.

"We are far from Gondor. By the time we return, it may no longer be there." Estel pointed out. Elrudyn and Aarya knew this to be true. Faramina was torn between returning to Gondor to fetch their families in order to prevent trouble and following after her friends.

"We could just walk up to the gate-" I began, indicating to Mordor before I was interrupted by everyone staring at me. "What?"

"What gate?" Estel asked before turning to see for himself.

"The Black Gate of Mordor!" Elrudyn blinked in surprise as did everyone else. Since when did the Gate get there?

"Right...Something is definitely going on." Aarya remarked. "What do you think of it, Thranduin?" she turned to face our friend only to find that he was no longer by her side. "Thranduin?" He was nowhere to be seen.

"Thranduin?" Estel called out only to receive no reply.

"Thranduin!" I yelled, startling everyone.

"Aranyth!" A voice called in reply and we ran towards it. Not too long after, we found Thranduin, who came to an abrupt halt upon seeing us, an expression of worry and bewilderment gracing his features before it disappeared.

"What is it? Has something happened?" he asked.

"Where were you?" I asked in return.

"I was scouting." he replied and we all relaxed, knowing he was alright.

"Then you did not see it?" Estel said and Thranduil tilted his head in question. I gestured behind him. Thranduin turned, blinking in surprise when his eyes fell upon the Black Gate and the fortress that it guarded.

"That would explain the feeling I felt earlier," the Elf murmured mostly to himself. A sudden foreboding feeling overcame me and I caught Elrudyn's eye. He too had felt it. Estel whipped around to say something but Faramina beat him to it, violently shoving me aside while shouting,

"Move!" A sickening crack resounded as the ground below gave way, leaving Thranduin, Aarya, and I to watch in shock and dismay as Estel, Arathorn, and Faramina were engulfed by the darkness below.

I am so sorry that this chapter is short but my computer was being as evil as Sauron and deleting everything that I had been writing! I've been rewriting this chapter for four cursed times and each time it deletes it! I will have another chapter up in no time to make up for this time.

Aranyth is now all alone with Thranduin and Aarya. What can they do and how can they help their friends?
Can they even help their friends? And what of these 'Unnatural things' Aragorn was talking about in the chapter before?
