Opposites Attract

Love can from unexpected places. It doesn't have to be from your same species. For example, a male rough and tough Aggron could fall for a beautiful female Meganium that doesn't mind his brash nature. Or where a slimy female Muk gets the attention of a honorable Gallade. Even when a Gyarados and a Lapras, knowing full well that they could never be together, find content to be with each other's company.

However, there are two beings that probably should…have kept their distance…but…

"Are you sure about this?" Arceus asked with a questioning look in his face. Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina looked up at their father with confusion, and then looked at Groundon. Groundon looked star struck and dazed, like he was thinking about something else.

"You do realize that the relationship would be strained. After all, you're the guardian of the land and she is the guardian of the sea", Arceus continued with worry, knowing full well that if something bad was to happen then the entire world could be destroyed.

"I know Arceus, but still! It could work! It could be the best thing that ever happens to us! All I ask is that you okay it!" Groundon argued.

However, Arceus stood there with a bland look as if he was thinking. Gira was patiently awaiting his dad's answer while the tiny Palkia and Dialga were just being cute and curious about what was going on, nudging each other, winking, and making kiss noises. Groundon looked earnest and hopeful, intertwining his claws together as if he was nervous. It was quiet at Spear Pillar as the legendary creatures awaited an answer from the King of Pokémon.

Finally, Arceus replied, "I don't think that I can say no, otherwise you two will go out of your way to hide your secret meetings. The last thing I need is two legendaries eloping and causing some kind of misfortune in the world. So I might as well approve it."

"AH THANK YOU!" Ground yelled with joy as he ran up to Arceus and hugged his skinny neck.

"Ack!" Arceus cringed in the arms of the Ground type giant, wondering if he made the right choice. The little trio danced, knowing full well that there will be a wedding, and that means free cake!

"RUN!" Diagla cried out in pure fear.

Palkia was shocked to hear her brother's high pitch voice this far from Sinnoh main-island. She was at Stark Mountain, which she was making sure that everything was operating normally. So far, the mountain was rather active, which worried the trainers and the Pokémon in the area about eruption. This is odd. Why would the area be active? Many of the trainers pointed at Palkia with awe, thinking that she was the reason that Stark Mountain was active. Palkia sighed, not really sure of how to think of the situation.

"RUN LIKE-" before he could finish his statement, Dialga flew right into Palkia. This caused both legendaries to fly right into the side of the mountain. For all the world to see, the stunned duo were tangled together in the rocks. Palkia was the first to get up, her beautiful shiny coat ruined and now in a fit of rage.

"What is your problem?" Palkia said furiously

"Its Groundon and Kyorge again! They're at it again!" Dialga replied with a whimper

"What!?" Palkia said in a worried tone. Wait, they're in Hoenn, right? That means Sinnoh won't be affected…but if they're nearby-

The mountain violently shook and lava spewed in numerous gushes. A large amount gushes straight toward duo and, in a panicked state, they ran down the mountain in a klutz entanglement. When the legendary creatures reached the bottom of the mountain and all the way to the beach, and massive tsunami of a good 30 feet appeared a few meters away at great haste.

"AAHH!" the duo screamed helplessly as the wave overcame them and dragged them out into the ocean. Palkia and Dialga, when they finally reached the surface, sighed. They knew that this was only the beginning and hoped that Rayquaza came soon.

A little nod to Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, and the fact that everyone says I need to date…
