Hello to all the lovely lovely readers, especially those who reviewed, I can't thank you enough! - here is another update. The frequency might go down a little, exams are looming scarily close, but I will do my best. Considering I usually write this on my way home in the evening we will see.

Sorry I signed off my last chapter with my old name, old habits did hard. On with the chapter, no one readers this to listen to me!

Chapter 6 - Training and Trust

"I'm sure your mistaken Eagle." Alex stated in a cold hard voice, void of emotion. He turned away from the staring eyes as he continued to head away from them, towards the hut that was used for combat assessments.

"See here's the thing Cub. Eagles one of, if not the best sharpshooter in camp. So I believe him over you." Wolf remarked, jogging to catch up to him, standing so he couldn't get passed.

" . . . ." Alex stated sharply again, he sounded practically unrecognisable.

"Look guys, he isn't a spy." Fox paused thinking for a moment. "Okay so he is, but not for SCORPIA." They all stopped for a moment, seeming thinking over the statement.

"Do you trust him?" Eagle asked softly, making sure Alex was out of range.

"With my life, but the real question should be does he trust you?" Foe replied before heading to catch up with Alex before combat assessment.

-LINE BREAK-

"Right Cu-Jag" Wolf ordered,

"WILL YOU STOP SLIPPING UP LIKE THAT! The kids are going to be here in a matter of days and you lot are unable to keep a simple cover." Alex interrupted, he was going to be in trouble if they didn't get into line, quickly. Plus it was really irritating.

They all gave each other sheepish looks, almost criticising and apologising at the same time. "Sorry Jag, we are just so used to calling you Cub."

"Or Double-oh-Nothing." He remarked, there was still some residual tension between them, there had been before the showers and the shooting range, it needed sorting out now.

"Alright kid!" Wolf threw his hands up in frustration. "What do you want me to say? Last time you were here I..we treated you like crap, utter crap. We shouldn't have, sorry but it was selections, it was tough for us all then a little brat joins us. Keeping up pretty well I might add."

"We aren't the same men who bullied you. We are all sorry." Snake mumbled "Except the hyperactive child Eagle, he still pisses us off from time to time." Eagle just smiled in response to that statement, before putting on a series face.

"Iraq and Afghan changed us. Thank God, or whatever other deity, we are out of there." Eagle huffed "You still deserve an apology Jag."

"Awww hugs all round." Fox said sarcastically, although we was secretly happy that they had effectively shot the elephant in the room. "Can we please do some hand-hand now?"

They all nodded in agreement before heading into the makeshift hut, mats littered the floor. Taken up by the other unit training, in two pairs locked in battle.

Alex imminently noticed the weakened side of one of the men, Rhino. Although Otter didn't, he was distracted by Leopard taking out Badger with a well-place kick stunting him, just long enough to over powered, and Rhino won there sparing match. They helped each other chuckling at Otters brief moment of stupidity.

"Nice one Otter." Fox called over, mocking him and deliberately alerting them of his and the others presence.

"Fox! It's good to see you man." They walked over and embraced in a manly hug.

"Who's this?" He noticed, gesturing to the irritated looking Jag.

"I'm Jaguar. Don't bother me." He stated barging past them. His iron-clad mask was in place, he was instantly playing his cover.

"New liaison with MI6, arrived this morning. Not the friendless." Fox interrupted before the others could say anything that would potentially ruin Alex's cover.

"Are we here to chat?" Alex asked, E-Unit collective rolled there eyes, wishing K-Unit luck, before disappearing off, most likely to have a shower or run an assault course.

"Geez Jag, could you be anymore unfriendly." Snake asked as they began to run warm-up laps around the gym.

"It's called a cover dumb arse. I am not here to be like nor and I here to be teased or bullied."

"Alright children." Wolf sneered at them, he had stayed remarkable quiet through the whole exchange. "Okay Jag, we are going to try and asses you on the similar basic fitness assessment we adapted for the kids, obvious you should be much better than them.

Alex snorted, if Wolf only knew how much better he would be. "Give it your best shot Wolf-man." Alex just got a glare in response.

"You three lines and then join in, see if your fitness matches up." He order to Eagle who had just lay down on the floor, and looked like he was sunbathing.

"Aww you mean we have to train?" Eagle asked as he heaved himself up. Dusting himself off from the grime that coated the floor.

"Surprisingly Eagle." Snake commented as they began running back and forth.

Wolf then proceeded to make him do 100 press-ups, sit-ups, crunches, chin-ups, squats as quick as possible. Then hold a plank for as long as he could last flowed by the wall sit and a 400m sprit, that the others joined him for.

He and the others dashed across the line panting for breath. A grin flashed across his face he had won the race.

"Well done Jag, Fox your time could be quicker, Snake my gran can run faster than that. Eagle I think your times improved." Wolf chased as he put the details down onto the clipboard. "Well we have a fun choice for once we can either do hand-to-hand practise for Jaguar or we get to go on a long-distance run?"

They all looked to each other gleefully, they hardly even got choices. Usually it was a weekly timetable pinned outside the hut.

"I vote run, it's gonna rain later, and then we can go have dinner. Before combat assessment." Snake interjected through panted breaths.

"Do you want to fight on a full stomach though? I vote other way round." Eagle counteracted.

"You will get stitched Eagles, I vote the same as Snake." Fox muttered between swigs of his canteen.

"Nah, for nice bird-brain has a point. I'm with him, so the decider is you Jag." Wolf agreed.

"Awww see guys I am smart!" Eagle cheered doing a happy dance as the others had a brief rest."

"I'm up for either, although Fox has a point about running on a 'full' stomach. So I say go for a run then combat practise." Alex agreed standing up.

"Well we get the Devils Trifecta trail." he said reading off the notice board at the side of the hut, as he slipped the board back into the 'K-Unit' slot.

Mumbling and groaning they all headed outside to do some stretching. Before setting off on the 20km trail, it would take them about 2 hours. It had narrow paths, scrambling and steep hills, plus it was really bogy from the earlier rain.

"Anyone regret their vote?" Eagle asked as they set off.

"Oh please shut-up Eagle!" Fox groaned as he overtook him.

"Thanks." Snake called, "He tends to get annoying on this trail. It's his worst time."

"Hey!" Eagle called from the back. Alex just rolled his eyes, maybe this wouldn't be too bad.

Okay again a fluffy chapter just getting everything nicely settled/stired up ready for when the little kiddies arrive!
