A/N: I don't know if this counts as a trigger warning chapter but I'm going to put it in anyway. Keep in mind that Jade is distraught about losing Beck but Cat is well… yeah… Jade also has a hopeless problem with being in love with Cat. Also, I think I might have switched from present to past and back again, at some point. This is a two part chapter, one for Jade and one for Cat because I couldn't get the indepth into the twisted relationship they have as much as I wanted to and still keep to where I was going.
Disclaimer: I own nothing.
TRIGGER WARNING TRIGGER WARNING TRIGGER WARNING TRIGGER WARNING! - I'm doing this just in case because I don't know, but the next one will definitely have this.
Jade POV Jade Dumps Beck
Let's face it; it was only a matter of time before he found someone better. You were so focused on trying to figure what she was up to that you stopped paying attention to Beck and now you're paying the price. But that didn't mean that when you found out that it didn't drive a knife into your heart. And what makes it worse is the fact that you didn't hear it from him. You heard it from Cat. When she told you, you ran. Even as you could feel your heart physically constrict in your chest. There were no tears when you saw him next, only anger. It was hot and explosive, not much to say but throwing the rock at his head seemed to give him a clear picture. Later when you had cooled down, you knew that you had to properly confront him. He denies that anything is going on. But you can't bring yourself to believe him, and as you walk away telling him you guys are through, he has no way of knowing that, in a way, you're doing it for him but at the moment your so angry at him, for failing to live up to your expectations. And at yourself for believing that you were worth something.
You're by yourself in the bathroom, not that your parents would be concerned but because your brother might come around. You look at yourself in the mirror and you don't see anything. The mirror reflects a face but there is nothing to see there, just hallow emptiness that threatens to eat you up from the inside if there was anything left in you. Your carefully constructed walls have come crashing down and you remember everything. You tear your gaze away from the smooth surface and get as far away from it as the room will allow you to, you don't want to be that person but you want to be that person. It's tearing you apart and you wonder this is even worth living.
The door opens, you could have sworn that you locked it, and you turn to tell your brother to leave but the words die in your throat. There stands the only person who could save you from yourself. You never want to leave her ever again.
(later)
You wake up, and she's there. You don't remember much, you were lost in a bit of a haze, emotional turmoil, your problems, and apparently blood loss left you vulnerable. You do however remember the vivid colours that the sun is painting against your wall. So of course, the first thing you do is panic because you have to get away, far away. Being close to her just doesn't work, it ruins everything you worked for so far. You throw on some clothes, and run, glancing at the time as you rush out the door, it's only been seven hours since school let out. You let your legs take you to the nearest safe place you can think of, Beck's is out of the question, you don't want to cause Robbie to have some kind of aneurism by showing up at his door, and Andre lives too far away. So there is only one other option left to you, Tori.
A/N: Anyone else think Jade has some memory repression issues going on?
