Mirei: Previously on Heroes...
(Haunted Minds)
Hiro: Someday Oto-san, I will make you proud of me. I'll do whatever it takes. Whatever it takes.
(Flash back in black and white. 1989, Japan. Hiro is at the playground playing with Ando when two tall, older bullies approach them)
Hiro: Hello, would you like to play with us?
Ando: No, Hiro, don't bother paying attention to them, they just want to pick on us.
Hiro: I believe in giving everyone a fair chance. (he smiles)
Bully #1: I figured with a dad as cool and powerful as yours, you'd be as cool as him, and as strong, but you're not! You're just a spineless little wimp!
(Cut to Hiro waking up after the memory serum. Lionel and Cho are standing before him.)
Lionel; How do you feel, Hiro?
Hiro smiles darkly before saying: I've never felt better.
(cut to black)
Start of Episode.
Chapter 15: Family Meetings
February 24th 2011
(Scene opens to Lionel, Hiro, Kat, Barbara, Lane, Caitlin, Lyle, and Cho are at his office for a meeting)
Lionel: Everyone, I'd like to announce that we now have a new ally at our side. Hiro Nakamura has decided to join us.
(everyone claps except for Lane who just glares at Hiro. Hiro simply gives her a confused look.)
Lane: What use can he be to us? He's just a time-traveler. Real smart of you Lionel to choose one of the weakest evolved humans I've ever seen.
Lionel: That's enough! It seems to me that you're the not smart enough to see my plan for what it truly is, aren't you? Hiro, why don't you tell them?
Hiro: I am considered one of the most noble, if not most noble member of Peter's pathetic superhero team. They would never foresee me joining Lionel. This would leave them more vulnerable. I will train my hardest to fight as well with Cho's guidance. Also if you're not careful lane, you will be left vulnerable as well. (Hiro smiles a dark and sinister smile)
(Camera closes up to Lane's shocked face)
Credits roll.
(Noah walks around the city with Angela, wearing a frantic and desperate look on his face as he tries to call Lyle. He ends up leaving a message.)
Noah: Lyle, please talk to me! Lyle, Lionel's not who he you think he is. You'll see, he's just using you. Look, I'm sorry, I know you've been feeling left out, I've focused a lot on helping your sister adjust to her powers. That's all going to change soon though, I promise. Please call me soon. I love you. Goodbye. (he hangs up)
Angela: It's no use, Noah. He's gone.
Noah: How dare you tell me that!?
Angela: He hasn't contacted anyone in weeks. I have seen him in my dreams. He is full of anger and hatred. He believes that by working with Lionel, he'll get all the love and attention he never got from you.
Noah: That's not true, I love him just as much as I love Claire and I always will. I'll do whatever it takes to get my son back! (His cell phone rings again)
Noah: Hello?
Claire(off screen, in Peter's car): Dad, it's me Claire. Peter, Matt, Micah, Ando, Mirei and I are on our way to Lionel's office to get Lyle and Hiro back. Matt is in his police car behind us with Ray while Mirei and Ando are driving in front of us.
Noah: I'm coming with you!
Claire: No Dad, please don't! I don't want you to get hurt or..worse.
Noah: He's my son!
Claire: He's my brother, and I'm the reason he hates us. I knew he was feeling lonely and neglected for a while, but I thought he'd get over that. It's made him turn against us, and I'm the one who needs to make things right. Besides, it's not like I have a real chance of dying anyway. (Claire smiles sadly as she says this)
Noah(smiles proudly despite the tears in his eyes ): Alright Claire bear, you go get em!
Claire: I will, Dad, I promise. I love you. Bye!
Noah: Bye, Claire. (They hang up)
Angela: You know, there are advantages to having a child that will not die naturally. You have a much lower chance of not experiencing the pain of losing them.(she begins to cry)
Noah(warmly puts a hand on Angela's dark orange fur-covered shoulder): It's true, Angela. However, Claire is going to be the one who experiences greater loss than me. She'll watch everyone she loves die around her. There has to be a way of removing that power so she can live a normal life and have a normal relationship with Gretchen.
Angela: I'm sorry Noah, but I don't think there's anything we can do. Unless...
Noah: Unless what?!
Angela: I'm going to do a little research. I'll see you when I can. Farewell.
Noah: Goodbye Angela. (he says before she turns around to leave him)
(Meanwhile at Lionel's office, Hiro and Cho begin to fight each other as part of Hiro's training. Hiro attempts to freeze time to stop Cho from electrocuting him but Cho shocks him for a minute or so before he can do that.)
Cho: Enough! You have to fight me using your body! You're relying too much on your abilities! You need to become stronger! (Hiro finally punches him in the chest and Cho falls to the ground, surprised but amused at his strength)
Hiro: How was that? Was that hard enough for you?(He breathes rapidly)
Cho(smiles darkly): That was good, but could be better. You have learned much in such a short time. Don't you prefer this instead of being the cute little time-traveling sidekick to more powerful evolved humans like Peter and Sylar? Don't you want to make your father proud of you?
Hiro: Yes. (he says hesitantly)
(Gabriel teleported himself to where Peter and the rest of the evolved humans were, at Lionel's office, the front gate. He met up with them and gave each of them a hug, before he said: We need to save him, not just from Lionel, but from himself.
Peter: You've committed more evil acts than Hiro ever will, If we could save you, then we could save him.
Mirei: I believe that too! Now, come on, no time to lose! (She and Gabriel give each other small smiles before Adrian finally appears before them. Everyone looks at him in surprise. )
Adrian: Hi, everyone! I just wanted to help you all get Hiro back. I'll start by doing this. (He touches the gate with his right hand, freezing it until it breaks)
Gabriel: Thank you so much for coming. (he hugs him)
Adrian: You're welcome. When I went to that dark place, I began to understand you better. Don't expect special bonding trips anytime soon, though. I'm not ready for that yet.
Gabriel: I understand.
Peter: We got to get going. There's no time to lose.
(They enter Lionel's headquarters, a large white mansion and find Hiro standing before them, with dark menacing eyes and a twisted smile)
Peter: Hiro, please talk to us. What have they done to you?
Hiro: They have enlightened me. They have shown me my true path.
Peter: Hiro, please don't-(he gasps interrupted by emerald green vines with roses that wrap around his wrists and the rest of his body, they come from none other than Kat who walks towards the group with a devilish grin on her face in a slick black body suit)
Kat: I think Hiro can make up his mind about whose side he's on.
Hiro: She's right. I can, and I've decided I won't be anyone's sidekick! I'm tired of being weak! I'm tired of fighting for people who fear and hate us! My father would want us to fight for our people, for all evolved humans.
Adrian: Hiro, that's exactly what we're doing. Don't fall for the wannabe Poison Ivy over here her bullshit. What did she do, charm you by getting you laid? She did that to me.
Kat: Shut up! (she shoots out a thorny vine from her hand and he gasps as it wraps around his body. She looks more hurt than angry though)
(Adrian looks at her with pleading eyes, and she looks back at him, unsure of what to do. He then touches the vines and they freeze, the ice breaks off and he's free. Kat moves to stop him from freeing Peter, but then Ray shoots a laser at her, leaving her on the ground, knocked unconscious. Adrian nods to Ray and then uses his freezing power to set Peter free)
(Peter breaks free but ends up fighting Hiro. He dodges punches and kicks for a few minutes until Hiro finally punches him back. He jumps back in surprise, clutching his jaw as blood spews into his mouth)
Hiro: You didn't expect that, did you? Of course not, poor, pathetic Hiro, who can't do anything but time travel and be a wimpy sidekick.
Peter: Hiro, that's not true! We love you! You're so much more than a time-traveler! You're a hero and our friend.
Hiro: Liar! (He throws Peter against the wall, leaving everyone in shock and horror)
