Chapter Five: In Search
The wolves in Gongmen City are scatter themselves to search their pack of brothers somewhere where they have been lost after the tragic battle. They are in cloak to make sure they will not be spotted by two of the Masters of Gongmen City. The wolves has heard some rumors from the people that the Fives have just left an hour ago once the Wolves are swift softly to find their friends, and their families. There are multiple packs are climbing along the rooftops to seek much easier to search, however, they are possibly in risk because anytime the two Masters Ox and Croc can actually feel the presence of enemies patrol if the Wolves go near them. Lee sticks to Leo and Chang near the Harbor as they seeks through the dark waters over where there is much debris to find Wolf Boss and even Lee's brother Lin.
There are small boats with paddles and medium size boats with sail on the harbor. The wolf sailors uses their ropes and their equipments to use for snatching injury wolves are in floating above the water to not drown, and even some who does not swim can float on large wood debris to stay above water as possible without shaking. In each sail boats, they revive ten to fifteen wolves, and small boats they also revive one to five packs.
The sun rises in between the broad daylight shines all the buildings including the harbor everywhere. The pack on the ground sneaks through houses to hide and they must search the bags of rice near the food town. In some team, they quickly snatch the fruits and veggies around the food town corners instead of getting caught. In other ones, the packs are also equip the weapons of swords and bows and arrows once they have reach the blacksmith place near Gongmen Jail. The blacksmith person who has built weapons are not in there first of all, the wolves go enter using their cloaks and they steal every weapons like swords, daggers, throwing knives, bows and arrows, and powders for either fireworks or cannons to use.
A moment later, Lee rises to the rooftop with Chang and Leo. All three can seek their packs throughout the city, and that includes the ships that are floating through the dark waters to revive the wolves. Lee is in a worry, however, staring through the reflection of a sunlight water. He uses a hand held scope to search his brother and Wolf Boss. He eventually seek every ships and boat sails in case both of them are there or not. Once Lee has hard enough to try finding them, he sinks the scope down with a sigh.
"I hope our leader and my brother is okay," Lee said sarcastically. "Lee and I were raised together since in our difficult lifetime beginning."
"I understand…" Leo understands Lee's lifetime.
"In through my hardest and… painful childhood," Lee adds when he remembers his dark path where he has been hurt with his twin brother. "Lin and I were in school together in ten years old. I have heard some rumors that one day the Boar army will soon come to attack our village again. I remember… our leader's past was a heartbroken in fifteen years before we were born. Around our fifteenth year, I knew the Boars were coming again for retaliation…
"Our family were needed to pack our equipment and some cloths to travel North where we should have confront Master Wolf's Snow Palace to be safe… The fire has spread through the dark trees, and the ash storms were in blazing through houses everywhere… I have one fear… a fear that one day I will lose my brother in a battle tragedy. Lin and I were very scared once we were in school… Our family didn't make it there in time once the Boars were in rage and conquering through the beauty lands within a rush. We pretended to be dead after that Boar with an axe has entered the class, we covered ourselves with debris to make sure we are in completely dead and even the wolf cubs do that too before that monster has come."
"They have burned everything… every houses… every trees… every plants and flowers… food… all of them. I have seen… so many ashes all around us. We used to have many survivors about ten of us."
"I was there with Lee and Lin…" Chang remembers when he communicates Leo as Lee continues his lifetime story when he can see the harbor in front of them.
"We have waited for three days," Lee adds. "For three days without no food. We had to drink some fresh water on a lake. Just as some wolves with swords comes by… I do not recognize them from the North. They have come from the East. We have seeing some scouts… and also they have come to rescue us… from another wolf pack leader."
"Wolf Boss," Leo identifies. "He sent his scouts to search any survivors on a Wolf Village. I know you all been hurt. I'm very sorry about you twins and your parents been isolated."
"For two day travel," Lee remembers his travel with his brother and the survivors. "We have arrived another land where there was armies of wolves there. Lee, Chang and I were in poorly for food once we have gone ourselves to someone's house. All three of us were in together once the other seven has left to the medical cabin to heal. We were used to think about some retaliation as our fightback against the Boar armies who has dared to burned our homeland and nearly killed every single one of wolves and cubs. Until we have met Boss to recruit the army with him… and that monster who murdered some Pandas as our former leader. For our fifteenth year through now… we have wanted to slay many Boars but Shen refused to do that because he wanted every wolves to built the cannons to conquer China. I cannot be part of this madness of what that Peacock has done truly desperate to all of us… shooting the Fives and those masters including that fluffy Panda is in front of all living souls of wolves."
Just then, one of a wolves on the ground wearing a cloak climbs to the wall and he arrives on the rooftop to call Leo.
"Sir," the wolf in cloak speaks. "We have gathered the weapons and plenty of foods."
"Good," Leo nods. "Send our men who has gathered the weapons and some food to the west and wait for us there on the woods until we have found our leader and some survivors."
"Yes sir," He nods and swifts. He runs back while Leo pats Lee's shoulder.
"We will find your brother and our leader, Lee," Leo said to him. "But as we will gather all of our survivors here in Gongmen City, we will travel to the North West to head a Snow Palace where we will confront Master Wolf. The retaliation of you two including your brother Lin will not bring back the Wolf Village, it will open your wounds deeply with a sorrow. As of continue revenge, will not close. All you have to do… is to close your wound. Your dark paths is now history; we must go on… with the light."
"Thank you, Leo," Lee nods.
"Alright," Chang turns. "Let's go find Wolf Boss and Lin."
All three wolves run down to the intersect after they jump down from the roof. In every sights of citizens, the people usually went back to their own homes and their work after the fight was over. Many citizens in each roads are just walking normally with a soft excite because of the death of Lord Shen. Their lives are no longer have fear from the evil who wanted to claim China. Some people on the sidewalks, they have spotted couple of wolves in cloaks on, and some are not. The people usually move away to use a space and may not underestimate the wolves on their way.
The wolves who gathered weapons and food are walking away to leave the city once they have arrive near a river. Once after the river, the woods are in front to the other side of the river as they can seek a small bridge. In the Harbor, the small boats and sail ships are nearly finish packing many injury wolves from the waters. An hour later, the sails go park near the edges of the city to drop off the injury wolves. Lee has no sign of his brother Lin in his sight as most of the wolves are almost rescued.
Over to the side of Gongmen City, Masters Storming Ox and Croc are approach near the collided Tower of the Sacred Flame, the Royal Palace of Peacock. They both can seek many debris of woods and includes collateral damage paintings within the area around them. They walk through a small hill bridge first, then they have seek a hammer forged weapon standing behind the staircase. The Hammer with a small red ribbon belongs to one of their greatest kung fu master who was their great friend traveled to their dangerous path to stop the Wu Sister's plans to conquer China like a similar to Shen's conquer plan with a bow before him.
They have remember their own memories of their great Rhinoceros friend on many travels through China, practiced their dangerous weapons as a full advantage to worth their kung fu skills everyday.
"This was where Shen has murdered our great friend, Ox…" Master Croc speaks plainly. "I do not know what should we do for Rhino."
"This was in chaos, Croc," Ox informs, walking to the Hammer. "We remembered the dark times from Shen. He's the one who caused vulnerable ways after the peacock was exiled from his parents."
"Every masters knew about Shen," Croc said. "I thought the Peacocks were… extinct."
"We don't know that for sure," Ox thinks carefully. "There may be more of them somewhere in China." Just then, Ox remembers on a small town in his early age, he confronted Rhino and Croc as they all three were fought each other. "I remember when we all three of us were… in a heavyweight match for money."
"Analyzing weaknesses from you," Croc remembers, "My impenetrable back, and Rhino's strong pierce horn. The fight was draw… I'm still can't believe we are in great friends. We all did a team together to end bandits in our way for few years. I wish Rhino can see our accomplishes against Shen. I hope our great friend can see us right now where he lies here in front of us." At a sudden moment, an elder goat with a wooden cane comes from the front door. She wears a colorful robe with her glasses near her nose for the elder goat to zoom smaller writings helpfully. The goat walks gently using her wooden cane to help her guide while she arrives behind the two masters.
"In your own hearts," the Goat speaks. "Your great friend will always see you anywhere on your guide." Ox and Croc turns normally as they seek an elder Goat coming.
"Soothsayer," Ox remembers her. He greets to the elder goat.
"I'm very sorry about your old friend," Soothsayer respects to their great friend. "Even though Thundering Rhino has been proud to himself that you three were once the Greatest Legendary Masters who stopped many bandits and the Wu Sisters. You two have avenged for your friend who was been murdered by Shen."
"Thank you, Soothsayer," Croc nods.
"I thought you were with Shen, my lady," Ox thinks carefully.
"He sent me away freely," Soothsayer speaks truthfully as she moves forward to the Hammer. "In his own point, I am no longer use to him as his guardian. I have tried to help him to change his path instead of madness all around him. Apparently, Shen clearly stayed focus to conquer China without even thinking about truce and happiness."
"This was only Shen's idea, Soothsayer," Ox said. The Soothsayer touches the stick with a Hammer that she remembers the fighting from Rhino, Croc and Ox. "We all wished for him to get help. His mind has been poisoned somehow. The gunpowder clearly created him a darker power of the fireworks to make his own plan to see us bow before him." Just then, Ox looks around all the broken woods from the building Tower of the Sacred Flame. "So… how are we going to clean this much debris, Croc?"
"Probably few months I propose," Croc thinks. "But we'll need to have a funeral for Rhino."
"We have many followers of Thundering Rhino," Soothsayer points to the door. There are many civilians of rabbits and pigs including impalas walking over there in the upper hill bridge. They carry many flowers like cherry blossoms, pink and red roses, sunflowers, and colorful plants to honor their respect of a great Kung Fu Master. All the children are with their parents too joining in for seeking the great loss of hope. Many people are actually love Kung Fu Masters there in Gongmen City because the three masters do their duty to protect the people and children from the bandits and even… Lord Shen. Soothsayer must have giving every advises to all the civilians and children to have something emotional and carry flowers for funerals and including the candles for tonight.
"We are deeply great thanks to you, madam," Croc speaks nicely to Soothsayer, "We'll actually start a funeral today…"
The winds goes into a small gale for a short time. In through the warmth air, the leaves has spread from the woods of the end river where the wolves are staying there. Next, once the whispering winds guides the healthy leaves in throughout Gongmen City, a small dimmer fumes of dark smoke is hidden near the shadows of water across the Harbor.
The boats are in clear, no witnesses.
The smoke floats in the middle of the Harbor where the large war ship has sunk.
The fumes... has entered the water.
