Hey, guys! I'm back! It's been a while, I know, I apologize. Works been hectic, my dad and my best friend are still recovering and my migraines have been getting worse—thankfully I've finally got an appointment next week with a specialist, so hopefully can get that all sorted. I've also felt a little disheartened from coming on here because there's been a lot of negativity in some fandoms I'm in...Between authors and reviewers and it just kinda sucks, because I know some amazing authors who have taken down their stories and are now refusing to post anymore because of it. Really sucks :( We gotta be there and support each other, you beautiful people!

Anyway, on with the story!

Aline's boss was an older man that seemed nice enough. She started the week after her first interview, and it wasn't bad. She got on well with the other girls, and the uniform was a simple, sleeveless shirt over whatever black pants or skirt she wanted to wear. Given most of the staff members at the cafe/resturant were school kids, anyone who wasn't at school got the day shifts through the week. Which worked perfectly with Jace's schedule.

In the first week, Clary only went back to Jace's on the Friday night, going home the next day to have dinner with her mum. In the second week, when she started at the cafe, he came by to pick her up on the Tuesday and Wednesday after work. He took her back to his place, they had dinner with Alec and Isabelle, and then went down to his apartment. He didn't try and kiss her, and Clary wasn't bold enough to do anything. Besides, laying in his arms while watching Godzilla and Transformers was good enough for her. And then sleeping next to him, with his body curled around hers and his breath warming the back of her neck, was even better.

Simon was keeping up his emails, although there hadn't been any more photos. He had told her that he was going through withdrawals from The Flash and Arrow, and she had threatened him with spoilers if he didn't tell her one thing that he was actually enjoying about his holiday. Finally, he had admitted that it wasn't all as bad as he thought it would be, and he was actually getting along with the guy that his sister was cosying up to. And that the beaches had been pretty amazing, which surprised her, because he usually had to be threatened with grevious bodily harm before he would get into swimming shorts.

Clary also started getting on better with Isabelle. They went out and got their hair done together; Isabelle adding green to the purple and blue that was already streaked through her hair, Clary deciding to dye her hair a darker red than it already was, with the half underneath so dark it was almost black. Isabelle's tendency toward make up also rubbed off on her, wearing a little more around her eyes, and putting on foundation before she left the house. She had never been into that kind of thing before, but she liked the way it made her look and the surprised way Jace responded the first night they went out when her face was made up. She had borrowed a black dress with sheer material on the sides and underneath her breasts, and highlighted her eyes and contoured her cheek bones. Jace's eyes had widened as his eyes had skimmed over her apprecitively, putting an arm around her shoulders and whispering against her ear that she was the hottest girl at the party.

But they still hadn't had sex. There had been some intense make out sessions, and she had seen and felt how badly he wanted her, and she was sure that he could read the same look in her eyes, but they hadn't gone there yet.

Which brought her around to today.

The airport was buzzing, everyone coming back at the end of holidays and getting ready to start the new year, either at school or University. Clary, for the umpteenth time, cursed her tiny stature, and climbed up on the plastic chairs that were far too uncomfortable to ever actually sit on. She looked over everyone's heads, jumping up and down and waving both hands over her head when she saw Simon in the distance. He looked up and waved when he saw her, bee-lining in her direction. He dumped his bag down on the ground by the set of airport seats, grinning broadly at her and held out his arms.

"Ohmygod!" Clary shrieked, jumping into his arms, her own arms tight around his neck. "You look hot!" Simon squeezed her and lowered her to her feet, blinking in surprise at her statement. "Well, you're tan! And you have muscles!" She circled her hand around his bicep and shook her head. And do you have new glasses?" She squinted up at him and Simon nodded, taking them off his face so that she could look at them properly.

"Yeah, they were a graduation present from mum," he said. They were smaller and a more rectangular frame, much more stylish than his old pair.

"Because taking you halfway across the world wasn't enough for her little pudding cup," Clary teased him and Simon rolled his eyes, laughing. He narrowed his eyes at her and shook his head.

"You look different too, Clary," he said, taking her in.

"Oh, it's just a bit of makeup," she shrugged.

"And your hair. And clothes," he added, looking almost wary. Clary raised her eyebrows at his tone, and then shrugged as his parents and older sister, Rebecca Lewis, joined them.

"It's going to be so weird starting without you, Clary," Simon said as he took a long drink from his coffee. "You know it's not too late for you to enroll for the second half of the year! We could still do Uni together—" he broke off when Clary laughed.

"I still don't know what I want to do!" She exclaimed. "And to be honest, I haven't been looking into it all that much." She picked up her purse from the ground, looking around inside as her best friend studied. "I mean; I'm not going to go to Uni just because it's the socially accepted thing to do, when I don't know what I really want. I'm not going to get a massive student loan that I'll be paying off for, like, the rest of my life on something that I'm only sort of interested in. I think I'm just going to wait until something I really like comes along, and I'll go then."

"Yeah, I guess," Simon sounded uncertain.

"You and your computer science," Clary finally found what she was looking for and pulled out her phone. "That's something you've always wanted to do, and you're passionate about it. I need to wait until I find that." Simon locked his jaw to the side and tapped the rim of his coffee cup.

"Like Jace?" He asked. Clary quirked one eyebrow and laughed.

"That's one way to move into the next conversation," she grinned.

"So are you guys like...A 'thing' or what?" Simon asked.

"Um," she licked her lips and took in a deep breath. "I don't know," she admitted. "I don't know what we are, to be honest. I mean, I haven't been seeing anyone else, and I don't think he has—"

"You don't think?" Simon interrupted.

"Well, Isabelle and Alec never mention another girl...Although I guess they're his friends, not mine, so if he wanted them to stay quiet then they would," she thought about that for a moment. "But we spend a lot of time together, and he works every day, so I don't think there's anyone else." She didn't want to admit it out loud that she would head over heels jealous if there was some other girl, but Simon had known her for years, and could read it on her face. He reached over the table and put his hand over hers.

"You need to talk to him, Clary," he told her firmly. "You need to clear it up, so that you're both on the same page." She nodded once, and then looked down at her phone as it vibrated. "Who's that?" Simon asked unnecessarily, already knowing who it was by the way her eyes lit up.

"It's Jace," she mumbled as she read over the text and quickly sent a response. "Hey, they're having drinks tonight. Did you want to come, meet everyone?"

"Uh, we've got that dinner with our parents tonight..." Simon reminded her. His parents had asked for her, Jocelyn and Luke over for dinner, just for a catch up after the six weeks past. Clary shrugged.

"We can go to that, then I'll get changed at your place and we can go to the drinks," Clary suggested. Simon nodded jerkily and she frowned. "We don't have to go..."

"No, no, it's cool," he forced a smile.

"You sure?" She pressed.

"Promise."

"Clary?" Simon knocked on his door for the third time. "Clary, the cabs here."

"Okay, okay, I'm coming!" Came her muffled voice from inside his room. Then the door opened and he blinked down at her. "What?" She asked. He blinked again.

"Uh, your shirt..." he mumbled and she looked down. It was one that Isabelle had picked out, which means it was already something that she wouldn't have chosen for herself. It was quite loose and long, almost covered the denim mini shorts she was wearing underneath, and it had such a deep v-neck that when she moved certain ways it fell so that her bra was exposed. Clary rolled her eyes at him and grabbed his hand.

"Bye mum! Bye Luke! See ya, Mr and Mrs L!" She shouted as they went out the front door to the yellow taxi cab waiting for them. It was already eleven o'clock, and Jace had sent her a couple of texts asking where she was. She gave the address to the driver and then they were on their way, through the painfully slow, Saturday night traffic. Simon was wearing a dark pair of jeans and a button down, light blue shirt and Clary poked him in the arm. "You look good," she told him with a grin. Simon shrugged.

"Thanks," he replied. She raised an eyebrow at him and sighed.

"If you don't want to go..."

"No, it's fine, I do," he repeated his sentiment from earlier and Clary nodded, looking back out the window. When they arrived, she handed the money to the driver and they got out. They could already hear the music, coming from the backyard of the apartment, as they walked up to the front door. Clary knocked loudly, and Jace appeared at the door, out of breath, a second later.

"Took you long enough!" He grinned at her, leaning in to kiss her hard on the mouth. He turned his gaze to Simon and his gaze became wary. "Jace."

"Simon," Simon replied. "But we've met before."

"Right," Jace appeared unfazed. "Come in." He turned around, his fingers laced through Clary's as they went through the lower floor of the apartment and out to the backyard. Isabelle tore herself away from where she and Maia were dancing, and came over, throwing an arm around Clary and kissing her. Simon looked completely taken aback, whereas Clary just shook her head at drunk Isabelle.

"Ooh, and who's this cutie?" Isabelle asked, tilting her head to one side and squinting at Simon.

"This is my best friend, Simon," Clary introduced. "Simon, this is Isabelle."

"I've heard so much about you," Isabelle grinned, moving so that she was standing next to an uncomfortable Simon. "So what's your poison, Si? Beer, rum, weed or ecstasy?" She asked him and Simon shot a look of almost blatant fear at Clary.

"Maybe just beer for now, Iz," she interjected. Isabelle nodded and flounced away. Clary was about to reassure Simon that Isabelle only came off as strong, and that he would get used to her, but he was following after the dark haired girl already, his eyes glued to her lithe figure. Clary shrugged and turned to Jace, who had his customary cigarette between his lips and was smiling down at her.

"Hey," he said softly.

"Hey," she replied with a smile. Jace took the cigarette out of his mouth and reached down to kiss her, this time savoring the pressure of her lips and tracing his tongue lightly over her lower lip. She shivered under his touch, just like she always did, tasting the tobacco and weed and Jack on his tongue.

"Come on, pretty girl," he said, putting his fag back in his mouth and an arm around her shoulders. "Let's get you a drink."

Clary had admittedly been worried about Simon. But Isabelle appeared more than happy to be taking care of him. So had Aline. She had gone over and kissed him on the mouth and the two girls had laughed at how embarrassed Simon had looked. Aline was a lesbian, but she kissed everyone. She just generally loved kissing. Isabelle sat down on Simons lap, a drink in her hand while the other was on his shoulder, and they were talking for a good few hours before Isabelle got so drunk she fell asleep against his shoulder. Then Alec had come over and said something Simon, and the boy was shaking Isabelle awake and leading her into the house.

"Shit, your boy moves quick," Jace whispered into Clary's ear. Clary laughed and shook her head.

"He's just being nice, he won't do anything," she said as she finished off her cup of fejoa vodka and apple mix. Aline came over, bending down in front of Clary and tangling her hand in her hair and pulling her face into hers. Clary responded eagerly. Aline had kissed her a couple of times since the first time, and Clary liked it. Nowhere near as much as she liked kissing Jace, but it was still nice, and she knew that Jace wasn't threatened. In fact, he liked it. She was sitting on his lap now, as Aline's tongue flicked over hers, and Jace's hands had moved over her hips, so they were resting on the inside of her thighs. The longer Aline kissed her, and she responded, the tighter Jace's grip on her thighs was, and she couldn't help the moan from her throat as his fingers inched upward.

"Ooh," Aline pulled back and shot a smirk over her shoulder to Jace. She nipped at Clary's lower lip and grinned. "Think it's time for you to take her inside, Jace."

"Yeah," Clary murmured, turning around in Jace's lap to look at him, and he could see the desire on her eyes, as clear as it was in his. She got off his lap with shaky legs, and he pulled her through their friends to the house, lifting her up easily once they were in the house, her legs circling his waist and their lips crashing together.

Now there's been heaps of things that have gone on the past few months I haven't posted and I was wondering what to put up here! So these things both relate to SDCC—by the way, if anyone knows where to get Bob Morley's hat, let me know ;)

First thing is, have you guys seen all the trailers that came out? Whoop whoop whoop! Deadpool and Suicide Squad look amazeballs. Margot Robbie looks like a perfect Harley Quinn and I've already got her theme song picked out in my head. Haha.

Second thing was the tribute to Jared Padelecki. That was beautiful and made me want to cry! When they all lit up candles and handed him a note...Mental illness is horrible and he has done such an amazing job at raising awareness and assuring people that it's nothing to be ashamed about. He seems like such a beautiful person :)

That's all from me today! Let me know what you all think. And remember, if you review, you get a preview of the next chapter xx
