Wakamatsu blinked disbelievingly, next to him Susa was in a similar state. Coach Harasawa and Imayoshi (recently named the new captain) have both walked into the gym leading in two kids in middle school uniforms. There was a boy with pink hair that hung around his delicate looking face; the guy was also the thinnest and prettiest boy Wakamatsu's ever seen. Next to him was a dark skinned girl, shorter than her male companion with short midnight blue hair and matching eyes (he refused to look any lower) that glinted with disinterest as she surveyed the gym, she wore her school's winter uniform and he vaguely registered Susa harshly shushing someone who'd whistled (thankfully too low for the group of four making their way over).
"Susa, Wakamatsu," Harasawa greeted, "This is Momoi Satsuki, he will be our new head manager," He nodded in the direction of the pink haired boy who smiled at them and bowed respectfully. "And this is Aomine Daiki; she will be Touou's ace this coming year." This time he placed a hand on the bluenette's shoulder, "Yo. Any of you good?" Aomine asked, she doesn't bow and her eyes sweeps over them and the boredom doesn't leave her gaze. Her shoulders drop minutely, as if disappointed. Susa's eyes narrowed minutely and Wakamatsu felt a twinge of annoyance and Imayoshi said nothing, just smiled at her.
"Play me. 5 on 1." She demands, walking over to the cart and picking up a basketball, looking at them impatiently, wondering why they hadn't already fallen in line. "Coach…" Someone mutters, Harasawa twiddles with his hair, "I'll allow it." He glances at Imayoshi, "I'm fine with it too." The boy, Momoi shoots Aomine an exasperated look and sighs in resignation before he too glances at them and like Aomine, his delicate looking shoulders drop too.
What the fuck is up with these middle school brats underestimating them?
Touou can't help but seethe slightly; there was no way they were going to lose to a girl who intended to wear a skirt while playing. They are a nationally strong team, so what if she's the ace of the Generation of Miracles, she's just a lone girl and surely she can't handle them all at once-
Aomine demolishes them. They can do nothing but stare in awe as she flies through the court like she's at home and dunks with more force than any of them can muster, Aomine passes five players like they're not even there and she manipulates the ball through the hoop in any way she wishes, making shots that are only seen in oversee players like those in the NBA. And it's hard to believe that she's still in middle school but already playing with boys who were supposed to be so much stronger. Against her, inarguably the strongest of Teiko, they are nothing, much like cute children in comparison.
Aomine considers them, "You guys-"
"Aomine." Momoi suddenly pipes in, giving her a look.
She rolls her eyes in response, "…are decent." And she looks so much like a scolded little kid that didn't get to say what she truly wanted and Wakamatsu doesn't know what pisses him off more. The actual loss or the fact that even Momoi (who knew the outcome of the match before it even started) had to derail whatever his friend was going to say. Imayoshi is smiling though, and he knows that everyone is thinking the same thing, she's strong, and she'll make Touou stronger.
It pisses him off and he decided that Generation of Miracle, girl or not, future of Touou, Wakamatsu doesn't like Aomine. But like any member of the Touou Basketball Club, it doesn't matter if he likes his teammates or not. They're all strong enough that they don't need one another to play. And like the rest of Touou, he wants to win.
Wither he likes it or not, Wakamatsu believes Aomine Daiki won't lose. With her, this monster, they will dominate the basketball stage.

"He's interesting." Akashi commented lightly, looking across at the brunette whose team sat across the stadium from Rakuzan, watching the matches that would decide third and fourth place, "Hm? You mean the one who was shaking the entire time he marked you?" Mibuchi followed his captain's gaze until it landed on Seirin's number 12, "Doesn't really look special to me." Hayama jumped in, nearly standing on his seat to see past Nebuya who laughed loudly at the blond's attempts. Mibuchi gaze then shifts his eyes to Akashi, takes in the two beautiful ruby orbs (so much more beautiful than when she had heterochromatic eyes).
"I guess he's alright. But Sei-chan, you can do better." Mayuzumi snorts next to him, and they wait for her to fix him with a challenging glower that could cower adult men into submission, but it doesn't come. Akashi ignores him, Mayuzumi smiles minutely at the lack of response, and Mibuchi realizes that the third-year was testing her. Observing which Akashi they were dealing with, even though he should be cross with them. Reo likes to think that Chihiro was looking out for them and this isn't the first time the shadow has randomly tested their captain since their loss.
"You going to talk to him Akashi?" Nebuya questions suddenly, already deciding that he can totally bench press the number 12. "What was his name again?" Hayama had ceased trying to see over Nebuya's larger frame and had instead settled for a rubix cube offered by Mayuzumi. Now if he could just get the colors to match up…
"Furihata Kouki." The shadow answered plainly, Akashi's gaze didn't waver. He was plain and boring, startled easily and was a jumbled mess of nerves that it even surprised her. His skills, compared to the Miracles or the Uncrowned Kings, were mediocre. But he still stepped onto the court and faced her with a burning passion that reminded her so much of Tetsuya that it almost hurt. Akashi knew that he knew the difference in their skills but he still challenged her for the sake of his team, for the sake of their victory. Furihata Kouki, plain and ordinary, she discovered was a confounding individual.
So unlike her, and that made him interesting.
"I'll remember him for next time."

Everyone on the bench holds their breath.
But no one is more shocked and amazed than those on the court.
The air is thick and sizzling with tension and anticipation, and there is a mix of awe and horror. Yosen stares in disbelief as Murasakibara truly steps into the court, she's abandoned her post from under the net, her violet eyes are lit with an angry lividness that they collectively feel a shiver go up their spines-
Murasakibara takes one giant step into the game, and both sides think monster. Her limbs are held out and seems to encompass every player and they know right there and then that they are about to see the full strength of Murasakibara Atsushi. Even Himuro stares at her in surprise before looking at Seirin, Kagami, and silently thanks them. They may not see it (except Kuroko), but he can see that under the intense anger and concentration, that excitement is bubbling under her skin. And it makes him think about how she says she hates playing, hates the people, and hates the game. But in this moment-
Atsushi looks like she's about to have fun and Himuro can't thank Seirin enough.
They don't know what monster they have unleashed.

Kuroko Tetsuya is nothing like Kiyoshi expected. Sure, he's heard of the amazing tiny girl with the miracle passes that have cinched them victory after victory before they hit the wall known as Touou Gakuen. He hears from Riko all about how quiet and withdrawn she is, he hears of the powerful partnership she shares with another freshman, Kagami Taiga, and how when they're both on the court they are nothing short of amazing. He listens to Hyuga lament about how Kuroko always came back into the game with fierce determination despite being pushed to her limits. An endless will to never give up that is like a defining feature for any Seirin basketball player.
He's glad to hear all this, because when he first heard the words Generation of Miracles, Teiko Middle School, Phantom Sixth Man, he can only think of the crushing defeat in his third year. Of the despair he felt when the Miracles swept the court and demolished all hopes and dreams around them, toyed with the game and the players that they didn't even spare a glance. It wasn't logical or fair, he knew that out of all of the Miracles, Kuroko hadn't been there and he wouldn't blame her for the actions of her ex-teammates.
She's nothing like he expected.
She's tiny and frail looking in her school uniform, and there is a dull, broken look in her powder-blue eyes that made something in him ache. He knows why of course, he's seen the video of the match against Touou; saw the way she desperately tried to reach her friend. Saw when Kagami was pulled out of the match early because of his legs, heard from Koganei and Mitobe about the raw, seething anger that the teen oozed for the remainder of the match. Saw the way she was thoroughly demoralized. He's been told by Izuki about the falling out between her and Kagami, Kuroko won't (can't) pass to him anymore and he can see the ghosts of an old fear in her.
Riko thinks it's Kagami. But Kiyoshi knows better, the blunette has hit a wall that she doesn't realize is there yet and as her senior it's his duty to guide her in the right direction. "Ahh looks like she's fine now." Riko turns to look out the window and they watch as Kuroko runs down the street still in her school uniform.
"They'll be okay now." He answers in response to Riko's raised eyebrow.
Sorry if this chapter seemed kinda dry compared to the last one, next one will be better!
Also, this may seem random, but who do you guys like better: Imayoshi or Wakamatsu? (important for later)
Please leave suggestions, criticisms, questions or comments in reviews please!
