Title: Everyday Incidents
Special thanks to:
BBLimits, Guest (Great question, I never really thought about it. I don't see any of them becoming mothers while their still in school, but afterword's I think it would be Kuroko or Midorima. Kuroko because she's the type who would love a family setting and loves children. Midorima because she would secretly want that kind of domestic life with Takao but doesn't want to admit it. So if she was to get pregnant she would inwardly be happy.), cookiea2b3, CassandraaCaitlinn, EminaRukiax, perseusjackson101, Ern Estine 13624, silvermist1116, Akashicchi-ssu, Dhea30, SilverSapphire34523, & Eovin for your lovely reviews!
There is a link on my profile of a picture of how I imagine the GoM to look like as girls.
Enjoy!

Their talent didn't come to them without some consequence.
Akashi is brilliant after she blooms, in more ways than one. She silently enjoys how her body is now developing into a distinguishable female figure. Gone are the days where she looks like a boy. She's exceptionally pleased with just how well she moves on the court now. It was like someone had unlocked a door, and all that was behind that door was pouring into her bones and muscle. She moves with the grace of a dancer, and rules the court with a cold, efficient hand like a king-no an Emperor.
However, she's like whole new person. Akashi knows that her teammates are startled by her change. She sees it in the way their shoulders tense the slightest amount whenever they see her about to deliver her wrath. She sees it in the submissive way they follow her commands without question, she notes how careful they are of their words around her. Before she would have frowned at the display of discomfort, they're her friends and they shouldn't be tip toeing around her and something akin to hurt throbs in her chest. But on the other hand, she reveals the way they consider her now, she likes being one of the few people that can keep rowdy Aomine in check. She enjoys how her opponents tremble and stare in disbelief and despair because of her overwhelming power.

All Midorima knows is that what once took concentration is so much easier now, the wall her muscles bunch up with the necessary tension to transfer power to the ball, the way her fingers curl and evenly distribute that power so that the ball flies through the air before crash landing. She does it again, over and over, that Midorima's lost count of the shots she's made. Midorima smirks because ha Aomine and Kise are not the only ones with worthwhile shots (even though hers are better at the end of the day.)
She doesn't really know when her shoulders and arms begin to ache horribly. All she registers is that when practice is over they ache and throb horribly, muscles bunched with trembling tension. As an athlete, she knows what sore muscles feel like and this was different from the burning from a good workout, it concerns her enough that she visits the school nurse. The kind old women presses practiced fingers into her flesh and talks about pulled ligaments and how if she isn't carefully she could tear muscle and that could be debilitating to her basketball career. She heeds the nurse's orders and allows herself a week to recover, keeping in mind that when she returned to the court, she had to control herself better. Not long after this incident she notices a new problem. This time it's not her muscles but her eyes themselves. With her new found ability in shooting multiple high projectile shots meant that Midorima had to strain her eyes more in order to judge the distance between her and the basket. Luckily she caught this problem before it could affect her performance and this problem was easily mitigated with new higher prescription glasses.
But these road bumps are of no concern to Midorima simply because the end result is better. She likes showing off her prowesses and the certainty that vibrates through her body when the ball swims smoothly through the hoop.

It's strange how strong Murasakibara's gotten in the last few weeks.
Murasakibara didn't realize the changes right away; it was small things at first. Like accidently holding her pencil to tight and causing it to snap in half in the middle of taking a test. Or accidently using too much force to open her crisps and causing the bag to split in half, sending her snack to the floor. It wasn't until she blew away two of her teammates during practice that she realized just how strong she was. How strong she was still growing. But on the other hand she managed to get the ball in the net easily. And anything that helped make playing basketball easier was good in her book. She wouldn't have to sweat so much and she could finish games quicker so that Murasakibara could eat snacks sooner.
"Murasakibaracchi isn't that too much?" Kise-chin points toward the large load of snacks piled to the brim in her long arms. "I'm hungry" She replied, "We just had lunch not even ten minutes ago," The blond said giving her a concerned, but exasperated look. "Besides you'll make yourself sick by eating so much and you're growing now! What if you ruin your body?" Murasakibara rolled her eyes, "It's not my fault, and I just feel hungrier lately." Kise-chin's eyes glinted, "You've been playing basketball really well lately too." She added, the everyone's been growing left unsaid.
As the months went by her pulsing strength showed no signs of slowing down. If Murasakibara wasn't careful she could easily crush her teammates as easily as her opponents. Games got boring quickly, and annoying, as annoying as how stupid boys get when they see her playing (she wants to punch them, but that would require her to move). Basketball was troublesome and she would rather spend her time trying the latest crisp flavors, rather than wasting energy on moving when it so obviously unnecessary. Especially with Mine-chin and the others are preventing the opponents from reaching the basket. There's no point to her actually needing to do anything at all.
She doesn't leave the net after that.

Kise thinks her sudden progression wasn't unexpected.
She's been watching Aominecchi, Murasakibaracchi and Midorimacchi grow for the last several months and while they are gifted players, this growth was different. If they were getting stronger than of course Kise would too. This sudden growth in strength and skill had nothing to do with their changing bodies (that was a plus, boys were suddenly flustered whenever they looked at one of them and it was funny) she can feel it in her bones and muscles. She's learning and keeping up at a faster pace than before, she has to, otherwise she won't be able to keep up with Aominecchi. The burst in skill is welcome as far as she's concerned.
At first she doesn't see anything wrong or negative with her blooming, they're all stronger and that means more victory for them. It wasn't until weeks after she first noticed her growth that Kise almost sprains an ankle in the middle of a game while trying to keep up with Aominecchi speed; it happens more than once during that single game than she's experienced in her short career. And it wasn't the last either, sometimes she dunks too hard or she pivots too far and she can feel that she's on the brink of snapping or tearing something.
"From now on we're forbidden to use our full strength in any match." Akashicchi orders sternly, and at first it's kind of hard to distinguish between too much strength or too little. But they manage to find the middle point and it becomes second nature to hold back the power just beneath her skin. Then a new problem emerged from this:
Kise was becoming board.
Everything is the same. They play a match and rack up points like Murasakibara eats candy, win, and go home. The next day this repeats in practice and the team has become to repetitive that she skips practice half way. There's no point in her coming to practice when there's nothing new and no Aominecchi to challenge. It's only because of Aominecchi and the respect she has for Kurokocchi that Kise doesn't quit basketball.

Aomine blooms sooner than the others.
It's great in the beginning, despite the annoyance her changing body brings, her muscles develop along with her skill and she gets strong enough to hold her own against the rowdiest of boys. It's refreshing, Aomine's always been strong before, but now she's inarguably the strongest. Just the strength in her hands is enough to hold onto the hoop when she and she can blows opponents away with the backlash of her speed. She enjoys the rush of power, Aomine's now able to just see the backboard and toss the ball in, and the ball always goes in. She never misses. Her partnership with Kuroko blossoms beautifully, Aomine never has to worry about getting the ball, Kuroko (utterly reliable) makes sure that it appears in her hands and she briefly hopes that this feeling will last forever. School idol Kise joins the team sometime later and improves quickly to the point that she can nearly match Aomine one-on-one and it's refreshing to play someone that pushes her to the limit.
But all too soon, that thrill of playing her beloved basketball begins to dwindle along with her opponents will. No one challenges her anymore and she can walk to the hoop if she so pleased. It's sickening and, as far as she's concerned, she stops practicing otherwise she's too good. Kuroko doesn't allow her to get away with it though, "You'll see. Someday you'll meet someone more amazing than you." She promises and she believes Kuroko, like she's always done because Kuroko hasn't been wrong yet.
Inoue's eyes are big and drowning in hopelessness and she can make out the tears mingled with the sweat on the face of her once upon a time rival. 'Monster´ he says and something in her breaks at that point, was it so hard to wish for someone to match her? Someone to relieve her of her boredom? That person probably doesn't exist and Aomine resigns herself to the routine that her life has become, Tetsu looks at her and Aomine tries not to flinch at the broken blankness in her pale eyes.
"The only who can beat me is me."

Kuroko's growth is different than that of her teammates.
The blunette doesn't miraculously develop the ability to shoot or drive the ball; rather there is almost no change in her other than the strong muscles that she's developed in her shoulders and arms and whatever Mother Nature decides to gift her with. She could make the argument that her stamina has improved somewhat, she doesn't throw up as often during training at least. Kuroko's strength depended on the light of her partner. Kuroko was only as strong as her teammates were and when Aomine and the others became nothing short of amazing so did her passes. Aomine glowed brightly and in turn she illuminated her shadow and allowed Kuroko to shine with her, even if no one else saw but them.
As the year went on, the consequences of being prodigies reared its head. Aomine looked at a loss as old rivals lost their drive. She stopped going to practice soon after, she stopped relying on Kuroko (I don't remember what your passes feel like) and her tiny heart broke along with Aomine's dwindling interest. Akashi morphed into someone unrecognizable, Murasakibara followed Aomine's lead and stopped coming to practice. Midorima bristled at the change her 'teammates' displayed and turned uncaring of their choices. Kise's boredom was seeping back and the blond's lovely gold eyes shimmered with disinterest.
Kuroko wasn't needed anymore and she could only watch helplessly as their glory seeped into the hard truth of victory-the utter cold of the opponents reflected in her eyes. Broken and battered. Like Ogiwara. Seeing his warm live eyes so dead and wide eyed with horror would forever haunt her. She could only stare in terror at the backs of her 'friends' who had so blatantly disregarded and stomped over her promise with her friend-had tainted what she loved with the dark smudges of their power and a crushing victory.
The sound of shoes pounding after the loud basketball made her heart ache pang with agony. It hurt when her teammates passed her in the hallways without sparing a glance. It hurt to think about how Ogiwara had transferred to a different school before she even had a chance to talk to him, not that she could blame him. It was her fault.
Kuroko couldn't go on like this. With a heavy heart, she leaves a form of resignation on the coach's desk and walks away.

The basketball players aren't the only ones who grew.
Momoi hits puberty sooner than the girls did, his shoulders grow out and his face more delicate with high cheek bones that make girls turn on instinct. He develops just enough strength to cart Dai-chan on his back and he internally enjoys that, for the time being, he's taller than his dark skinned friend. It doesn't last though because soon Aomine shoots up to be just a tiny bit taller than him, although not the least bit envious of the muscles she gains. Momoi rather liked his delicate features.
He has a front row seat to Dai-chan's sudden advancement and a whole childhood with her hasn't dimmed how utterly amazing Aomine is. He notices right away how easy it is to tell how one of the girls will grow; their weak points, what moves they will develop how they should nurture their skills. This goes for their opponents too, he could come up with intricate strategies that can reduce the opposing team helpless and he enjoys being able to contribute to their victories in some way. He spends afternoons eating ice cream while walking home with Dai-chan and Tetsu-chan, wishing this bless would never end.
But it doesn't go that way.
Against Momoi's wishes, the team split. The laughter and camaraderie that used to define the Generation of Miracles was gone. Replaced with raw overpowering talent and never ending victory. Dai-chan grows disillusioned and it takes all of Momoi's effort to try and get his friend to practice, but she won't budge. He can't even remember the last time he saw Tetsu-chan's beautiful smile, can't remember the last time Ki-chan had overzealously challenged Aomine to one-on-one. He can't recall when Akashi's warm, caring eyes had turned cold and calculating. When Midorin starts practicing in a small corner of the gym by herself, when Muk-kun starts staying under the hoop rather than charge the offense alongside Aomine.
The good times shattered like glass. Had their bonds always been so fragile?
Until next time my dear readers~
