Kurt was being lead up the stairs by Lenny who had his arm in a painful grip, followed closely behind by Mr. Lawrence who was gripping Blaine in the same manner. Kurt's zip ties were still in place as were Blaine's handcuffs as they were both brought into Blaine's room. Luckily Blaine's bed was a queen size and had enough room to fit the two of them. The older men made short work of getting the handcuffs off of Blaine and the zip ties off of Kurt.
"Since I'm feeling generous, you both get to share this room now and have some bonding time. Don't make me regret my generosity, because I will seperate the two of you if I see fit. Are we clear?" Mr. Lawrence asked sternly.
Both boys nodded in unison. They both wanted their alone time together and they weren't prepared to mess that up now.
"Well boys, that was an entertaining evening, so we're going to call it an early night. Sleep tight and remember to behave," Mr. Lawrence instructed as he and Lenny left the room, effectively locking it behind them. Once their footsteps faded, Kurt wasted no time in wrapping his arms around Blaine who hadn't moved a muscle since they left. Blaine didn't respond right away, but once he had a minute to adjust, he slowly wrapped his arms around Kurt, holding him close. He closed his eyes at the familiar smell of vanilla and instantly relaxed. He hadn't realized how much he had missed that smell.
"Blaine, honey I'm so sorry," Kurt whispered in his ear as he rubbed soothing circles on his back. "I can't believe what they're doing to you."
Blaine pulled away gently and walked over to the bed. He slowly and gingerly sat down, wincing when his bottom made contact with the comforter.
"Are you OK, sweetie?" Kurt asked as he sat down next to him. "What am I thinking? Of course you aren't OK...I just-"
Blaine responded by placing a finger gently against Kurt's lips to silence him. Kurt stared in confusion as Blaine tried to gather his thoughts. There were so many thing that Blaine had wanted to say to Kurt. He thought up a new thing every day that he was gone, but now that the opportunity was here, he was drawing a blank. He hadn't anticipated that when and if he saw Kurt again it would be here and after witnessing him being spanked twice. He didn't know how he was expected to look into Kurt's beautiful eyes after all of that humiliation.
"Kurt, I-it's OK," Blaine spoke. That wasn't even remotely near what he wanted to say, but it was the only thing that came out.
"It's not OK," Kurt disagreed. "They're hurting you, Blaine. I can't believe what I-"
"It's OK, Kurt," Blaine repeated as he shuffled further onto the bed and snuggling underneath the comforter whilst Kurt remained seated.
"You've been gone for months... and they've been doing this to you all this time?"
Blaine was pretty sure that was a rhetorical question, so he just shrugged.
Kurt sighed and got up from the bed and began to pace. Blaine couldn't help the guilt that washed over him. Kurt had moved on and now he had been kidnapped and forced to be in a room with probably the last person he probably wanted to see. Luckily he had managed to take Kurt's punishment which maybe earned him a little bit of favor, but it was the least he could do to save Kurt from a situation that he shouldn't be in in the first place.
"We need to find a way to get you out of here, Blaine," Kurt said suddenly.
Blaine blinked at him in confusion. "Why?"
Kurt looked like he had been slapped in the face. "What do you mean, why?" He asked coming back over to the bed and sat down, taking one of Blaine's hands in his and waited for a response.
"I-I'm where I belong," Blaine responded with a shrug.
"How could you think that?"
Blaine was honestly confused. Kurt had moved on...what did he care where Blaine was? Blaine wasn't good enough for him and now he was somewhere where Kurt was free to his life without him-or at least he was.
"You-you m-moved on and n-now you're s-stuck here with m-me," Blaine admitted, hanging his head in defeat, allowing the curls to fall into his eyes. The new look was still so surprising to Kurt; he was sure that Blaine would never in a million years allow his hair to become this untamed. "Kurt, I'm so sorry."
Kurt couldn't believe what he was hearing. Blaine honestly thought that Kurt had moved on and didn't care where he had been all this time. He couldn't allow Blaine to keep thinking this way.
"You thought I moved on? Honey, how could you think that?"
Blaine didn't really know. Lenny had told him that Kurt had moved on and whilst he had no proof, the two men had gotten so deep in his head that it seemed like it had to be the truth. One part of his brain was telling him that Kurt was too good for him so it was natural that after all this time, Kurt would come to his senses and just move on.
"I-I'm not good enough f-for you, K-Kurt," Blaine started echoing his thoughts. "I-it would only m-make s-sense that you would m-move on-"
"Blaine, I never moved on," Kurt interrupted. "I spent months looking for you, I never stopped. I'm only in New York because Rachel talked me into it. How could I move on from you, Blaine? You're it for me and I love you," Kurt insisted, pulling Blaine back in for a hug.
Was it even possible? Could Kurt still love him even after all of this?
"H-how could you s-still l-love me? After all th-this time?" Blaine asked as he held Kurt close not wanting to let go.
"How could you think I couldn't? Don't you remember? I told you that I'm never saying goodbye to you and I meant it."
Blaine felt his broken heart become whole again at Kurt's words. He felt tears spring to his eyes as he was being held by the love of his life. Kurt hadn't moved on and still loved him. He couldn't remember what it felt like to be truly happy, but this had to have been it.
Lenny had come back and allowed them both to use the bathroom before bed to do whatever they needed to get ready for bed, change, brush their teeth etc. This was something Blaine was incredibly used to, but Kurt wasn't. He had to do everything quickly and wasn't able to do any skin care since all his products were back at his and Rachel's apartment.
Once they were again locked up for the night, Kurt and Blaine climbed into bed together. They turned the main light off, leaving the lamp on the bedside table on so they could see each other as they talked. Neither of them had sleep on their minds, they just wanted to soak up being near each other again.
"Look what I managed to sneak from the bathroom," Kurt said, as he brandished a tiny bottle of lotion from beneath the comforter. "I thought it might help."
Kurt blushed a little at the last part, but felt silly for doing so. He and Blaine had been intimate before, so suggesting that he help Blaine by rubbing some lotion on his injuries was hardly a scandal.
Blaine smiled and pulled Kurt in for a hug. "I d-don't kn-know how I l-lived w-without you this l-long," Blaine said in appreciation.
Kurt smiled at the compliment as he instructed Blaine to lie on his stomach. He carefully peeled Blaine's pajama bottoms down a bit and couldn't help but cringe once he saw Blaine's backside this close up. It was still very red with splotches of bruises and dozens upon dozens of deep reddish purple welts from the cane. How Blaine wasn't still crying, he'd never know. It looked so incredibly painful just by looking at it, he couldn't imagine what it would be like to actually feel it.
Kurt tried not to cry as he squeezed a bit of lotion on his fingertips and began to dab at the wounds. Blaine inhaled sharply, but relaxed once Kurt gently rubbed the cooling lotion in.
"Honey, I'm so sorry," Kurt whispered as he tried to give Blaine every ounce of comfort he could.
Blaine lifted one of his hands in response to take Kurt's unoccupied hand in his.
"So they kidnapped you so they could film themselves hurting you?" Kurt asked trying to clarify his earlier suspicions.
Blaine felt his stomach twist. He really didn't want to talk about it, but Kurt was bound to find out and he was already starting to piece it together. Once Kurt was done with the lotion, Blaine felt much better and pulled his pants up carefully. Kurt went back to his earlier spot and wiggled his way back under the covers to face Blaine.
"Th-thank you f-for the lotion, I feel much better," Blaine spoke gratefully with a smile.
Blaine's stutter thankfully was already starting to get much better the more he eased being in Kurt's presence. He still needed to explain what was really going on here, so he took a deep breath and got right to it. He explained how Mr. Lawrence was his substitute teacher from a long time ago and how he had been to the sectionals and regionals performances with the sole idea of kidnapping him then, but ultimately ended up kidnapping him from the mall that day. He told Kurt all about being the star of the website and how there were more actors who didn't suspect a thing and thought he was just another actor.
"So you've never even met the other actors?" Kurt asked.
"No, I'm s-sure Mr. Lawrence didn't w-want to r-risk them finding out th-that he kidnapped me," Blaine responded.
"I still can't believe they've been doing this to you this whole time," Kurt shook his head in disbelieve, holding Blaine's hand close. "I wish I had found you sooner."
Blaine too shook his head. "I wish that this wasn't the way you had to find out."
"I'm glad I did, because now you don't have to do it alone," Kurt responded.
Blaine took in Kurt's response and sat up to look at Kurt seriously. "You're not thinking-"
Kurt sat up as well so that he could look Blaine in the eyes. "After tonight, you think I'm going to let you take all of my so-called punishments? I won't let you, Blaine."
"You have to. It's my fault that you're here and I'm used to them. You have to let me-"
"No, I don't have to let you do anything. I can't let you be hurt even more because I'm here. I never want to watch you get hurt like that again."
Blaine shrugged. "It's something you'll have to get used to. It happens to me all the time."
"Not anymore it doesn't. You're not in this alone anymore. I'm here now and I can't let you take the fall for me anymore."
"Just be careful. They look for any reason for punishment, so don't make it easy for them. I won't promise that I won't try to take the punishment for you, but-"
Kurt silenced him by placing a gentle kiss on his mouth to shut him up. Kurt's lips on his was something he had truly missed, so he allowed the argument to dissipate as he relaxed into Kurt's kiss and proceeded to fall into a restful sleep with Kurt safely secure in his arms. No matter what Kurt said, he would protect him at all costs. He wouldn't allow Mr. Lawrence to hurt him and that was a promise he intended to keep.
Blaine stared at the oatmeal that Mr. Lawrence sat in front of him. He really wasn't in the mood to eat. Kurt seemed to feel the same way as he too stared at the food placed in front of him. Mr. Lawrence and Lenny must have installed the ring on the other side of the table so that Kurt could be handcuffed to the table just like he was everyday. He wore a matching set of handcuffs that granted him enough mobility to eat.
"Boys, eat," Mr. Lawrence instructed as he and Lenny sat down with full plates of pancakes, bacon, and eggs.
"Not hungry," Kurt insisted.
Blaine felt his insides grow icy. He'd been through this process before and learned the hard way. When he wouldn't eat or pretended to, he got one hell of a spanking for it. So Blaine looked at Kurt from across the table and mouthed, 'eat' to him. Kurt responded with a small shake of his head.
"You will eat your breakfast, Kurt," Mr. Lawrence repeated, his tone itching towards dangerous.
"Maybe if I wasn't inside a kidnappers house who abuses my boyfriend, I'd be hungrier," Kurt mumbled.
Blaine's eyes widened as he shook his head to get Kurt to stop. He'd told Kurt the night prior to be careful and this was the opposite of careful.
"No, Blaine, you know this is wrong, I know this is wrong and they should, too."
Lenny slammed his hand down on the table as a warning to get Kurt to stop talking, which Mr. Lawrence responded by nodding his approval and taking a bite of his pancakes.
Blaine managed to take a bite of his oatmeal which might have been delicious, but tasted like dirt in his mouth. No amount of food was going to fix the way that he was feeling. Even after Kurt's assurance last night, he still felt insanely guilty at the fact that Kurt was here. It was his fault whether Kurt agreed to that fact or not. He didn't know how he was going to get Kurt out of this situation, but he would figure it out if it was the last thing he ever did.
"Kurt," Mr. Lawrence warned, causing Blaine to snap out of his thoughts.
Kurt had pushed the bowl of oatmeal away and sat in his chair with his hands folded out onto the table.
"Kurt, just eat the food, please," Blaine pleaded, not wanting Kurt to be in additional trouble.
"No," Kurt stated shaking his head. "They need to let us both go and end this here and now. You are not theirs, we both have families that need us and they they need to stop being selfish psychopaths and let us go."
Before Blaine could get him to stop, Mr. Lawrence sprung up from his spot at the table.
"I've had it with your backtalk, Kurt and I plan to fix this here and now."
"Mr. Lawrence, please, I-" Blaine started, his hazel eyes growing wide with fear. Even after last night, Kurt hadn't learned how things go around here and he hadn't truly prepared him for something as simple as refusing to eat.
"I'm not going to spank him, Blaine, I've got other plans for your boyfriend here," Mr. Lawrence spoke as he walked over to Kurt and unlocked his cuffs from the table.
"W-what are y-you going to d-do to him?" Blaine asked, as he tried to pull at his handcuffs, hoping Lenny hadn't latched them properly or something, but as usual, they were successfully locked.
"Kurt needs to learn to control his backtalk and learn to follow orders," Mr. Lawrence explained as he put Kurt's hands behind his back to cuff them and dragged him over to the sink.
Blaine was starting to suspect what Mr. Lawrence was going to do and once he pulled a package from under the sink, he knew he was right.
"Please, d-don't do th-that," Blaine pleaded. "Just l-leave Kurt alone p-please. H-he didn't know."
Mr. Lawrence started unwrapping the packaging and glanced up at Blaine once his task was complete.
"You remember what I did to you when you refused to eat, hmm? You got a good hard spanking for it and before you interrupt me, son I promised I wouldn't harm him, but I never said I wouldn't punish him. Since you decided that you wanted his punishment last night, I'd say Kurt is well past due for a punishment of his very own."
Blaine glanced over at Kurt who stood defiantly even though he knew what was about to happen to him. Kurt was so very brave; how could he have ever thought that Blaine was the brave one? He couldn't let Mr. Lawrence break Kurt like he broke him.
"Just-just do it to me," Blaine said continuing to look at Mr. Lawrence with pleading eyes. "P-please."
"No can do this time, Blaine," Mr. Lawrence sighed. "Kurt needs to learn that his words have consequences and it's time that he was corrected for them."
Blaine stood up from the table, not being able to get very far due to the handcuffs keeping him at the table.
"W-well, w-what if I back talked you? W-what then?"
Mr. Lawrence stared Blaine down for a minute before he chuckled darkly. "I wouldn't test my patience, Blaine. Your bottom has to be very sore right now-"
"I-I d-don't care," Blaine began trying to appear as strong and unwavering as he could. "K-kurt d-doesn't deserve any p-punishment, s-so just l-leave him alone, you prick."
Mr. Lawrence nearly dropped the package in his hands as Kurt whipped his head over to stare at Blaine.
"Blaine, what are you doing? Just let it go, I'll be fine," Kurt insisted, staring at Blaine steadily, silently trying to tell him to stop through his gaze.
"You better apologize, Blaine," Mr. Lawrence said coolly.
Blaine knew that he should. There was no telling what Mr. Lawrence would do to him or Kurt if he didn't, but if he didn't, maybe the focus could be taken off Kurt yet again.
"Apologize, Blaine," Mr. Lawrence repeated as a warning.
Blaine remained silent as he stared Mr. Lawrence down, trying his best not to shake where he stood.
"Fine, Blaine, have it your way, once I'm done with Kurt, you're next," Mr. Lawrence said as he turned back to face Kurt.
"I-if you were a r-real man, y-you'd deal with m-me now instead of p-punishing someone w-who doesn't kn-know any b-better."
Mr. Lawrence turned back to Blaine, anger radiating through his eyes. He looked as if smoke could start flowing out of his ears at any moment. He dropped the package on the counter and strode right up to Blaine who had stopped breathing all together as the livid man approached him. He stared Blaine right in the eyes, the anger practically slapping slapping in the face at this distance, or lack-there-of.
"Very well, Blaine. You want to be punished? I'm more than happy to oblige," Mr. Lawrence said icily as he repeated the same process that he did to Kurt. He wrenched Blaine's arms uncomfortably behind him and cuffed his wrists into place and wasted no time in dragging him over to the sink.
"Sit down, Kurt," Mr. Lawrence instructed. Glancing at the boy who stood behind Blaine looking ready to protect Blaine at all costs.
"No. I was the one who was supposed to be punished. You can't punish him for my mistakes again," Kurt insisted as he stared at Blaine as if saying, 'I told you not to take the fall for me.'
"Blaine is no longer taking the punishment for you, Kurt. This is now Blaine's punishment. He was right, you don't know any better, but he certainly does, so I suggest you sit down now unless you want to see Blaine over my knee again."
Kurt didn't look pleased, but he sat down as instructed staring at Blaine with a mixture of worry and frustration over the fact that he threw himself into the line of fire for him again.
Mr. Lawrence unwrapped the rest of the package and turned the faucet on wetting the contents. As soon as his task was done, he turned back to Blaine. "I'm going to warn you, Blaine. This won't taste good, but you wanted to be punished and since your bottom is in no condition for me to spank today, we'll try this. Now I want you to open your mouth and stick your tongue out."
Blaine stared back up at him defiantly but did as instructed. The object was shoved roughly into his mouth and instantly Blaine wanted to gag. He'd never been mouth soaped before and truth be told, he never wanted to be ever again. The taste was just as he could imagine: absolutely disgusting. He had to remind himself that he was doing this for Kurt and when that was the case, he felt like he could get through anything.
Mr. Lawrence started to scrub his tongue with the soap, effectively coating it with the nasty suds. He soaped the sides, underneath and all around before moving to get the inside of his cheeks.
"Is this nice, Blaine? It could have been Kurt receiving this punishment, but instead you choose to be the hero. Being the hero doesn't really have its perks, does it?"
Blaine remained silent, not being able to talk if he wanted to anyway due to Mr. Lawrence continuing to scrub his mouth, now moving onto his teeth, making sure he got bits and pieces stuck in them.
"Hopefully this is teaching you a lesson, son. You need to learn to keep that mouth of yours shut and allow me to punish Kurt as I see fit. Your life would be so much easier if you just let me do my job as a father."
Blaine shook his head in response. No, he would never allow Mr. Lawrence to punish Kurt. Kurt shouldn't even be here, so he would take all of the punishment for that.
"Tongue out, Blaine."
The soap was absolutely disgusting and he'd even gagged a few times, but he'd get the taste out of his mouth eventually. He needed to keep up with this plan. If he kept the focus on him, then anything Kurt did would pale in comparison. The soap was beginning to spill from his mouth and onto his shirt since Mr. Lawrence wouldn't allow him to spit.
"Have you learned the consequences of your actions, Blaine?"
Blaine nodded slowly, not being able to do much else as Mr. Lawrence kept scrubbing away; hopefully he wasn't going to lose his taste buds from this. He was fairly certain that for a mouth soaping, this was a very thorough and obscenely long one. Mr. Lawrence made sure to scrub every inch of his mouth one last time before instructing him to close his mouth and finally granted him mercy. He unlocked the handcuffs from behind his back and rebound them in front of him like usual.
"Rinse."
Blaine didn't have to be told twice as he practically fell into the sink to spit the soap out. He cupped his hands to allow the fresh water to flow into them and began to rinse the bitter taste of suds from his mouth. He picked at his teeth to get the soap shavings out of them and finally the taste began to dull a bit. It was going to take a while to get the taste out of his mouth entirely, but it had to be worth it. Mr. Lawrence was able to take his anger out on him rather than Kurt. Once he was sure he got all the soap out, he stood up straight and turned back to face Mr. Lawrence.
"You need to learn to stop being the hero, Blaine. If you want Kurt to stay out of trouble, then he needs to learn how to stay out of trouble in the first place. You should be helping Kurt learn a thing or two about how things are conducted around here and I think we'll begin that lesson now."
"W-what do you m-mean?" Blaine asked in confusion.
Mr. Lawrence smirked and began to walk towards the living room, beckoning the two boys to follow after him.
"You shouldn't have done that, Blaine, I told you that I won't let you take the fall for me anymore. I don't want you to take punishments that you don't deserve," Kurt whispered as they followed.
Blaine shook his head, not wanting to go further into it. Kurt needed to know that Blaine was regretful of the fact that Kurt was here in the first place and the fact that Blaine would do his very best to save Kurt in anyway possible.
Both boys stopped dead in their tracks as Mr. Lawrence went directly to the punishment closet and returned with the spanking chair.
"N-no, Mr. Lawrence, p-please, you said-"
Mr. Lawrence cut him off with a chuckle. "Oh, don't worry Blaine, I'm not going to spank Kurt."
Blaine let out the breath he didn't know he'd been holding. He wasn't going to spank Kurt...but then why did he bring the chair out? He blinked at Mr. Lawrence in confusion.
"B-but then why-"
"I've decided that you both need to share a punishment as I don't think a mouth soaping was enough for you, Blaine. Two birds one stone as it were. I'm not going to spank Kurt," Mr. Lawrence repeated. "You are."
Phew, a nice long chapter that is ending on such an evil cliffy lol. I promised to have another chapter up this week and I almost made it. It's technically Monday morning by an hour and a half, but in my defense, I was writing it Sunday night technically. ;D So what do we thing after some much needed Klaine reunion fluff? I definitely kind of canceled all of that out with my my angst at the end, but it was a nice change of pace at the beginning, right? ;D
So, thoughts? Comments? I always love to read what you guys are thinking, it really helps with the writing. So thank you for all your reviews on chapter 11. :) Leave me some words on Chapter 12 so we can get 13 going, what do you say? Look forward to hearing from you guys!
