Audrey sat in the warehouse, staring at a piece of paper.

Dick looked over the couch where Audrey was sitting.

"What are you doing?" he asked, placing a hand on her shoulder as he sat down.

"You seem to be feeling better,"

"Oh," Audrey blinked. She turned away, embarrassed.

"Well, Black Canary told me write down my feelings once a day; Or if something happens," She explained reluctantly.

"It's good to see you taking this seriously," Nightwing started. "Because if something like this were to happen again, then i'd-"

He stopped as he saw Audrey's face, confused and a little concerned. Sometimes he forgot he was talking to a preteen girl.

"But, anyway, it's good to see your feeling better," He corrected himself.

"Thanks,"

She looked around the room in awkward silence, before noticing how empty it was.

"Where is everyone?" she asked, turning back to Nightwing. "I hadn't noticed how quiet it is."

"Well, M'gann and Conner are on Rimbor, the other are probably at there homes, Aqualad and Blue are investigating the Reach ship, and those are the ones I can fully account for," He said.

Audrey nodded her. "I think beastboy went out for a walk. He was here earlier."

Nightwing smiled lightly. "Noted," He said quietly.

Audrey laughed , remembering Beast Boy's catchphrase.

The two sat there laughing, until a sudden shaking snatched there attention.

Rumble, rumble, rumble

The floor and furniture started to shake violently. Nightwing stood up, as did Audrey.

"An Earthquake?" She asked. She growled in her mind, feeling stupid for pointing out the obvious.

Nightwing turned on the T.V, quickly punching in the channel for the news. The two watched in shock as reports around the world flooded the screen in a collage of disasters.

"Look!" Audrey pointing the screen. A massive wildfire was ravaging threw an African plain, scorching everything it touched.

"The whole planet seems to going threw natural disasters..." Nightwing grabbed his chin, suspicious.

Audrey pulled off her sweater, revealing her costume underneath.

"I'm glad your prepared.

Nightwing quickly went over to the controls. He set the zeta tube coordinates it towards the African base, where Beastboy had once lived.

"Listen; You have to get it done quickly," He started. "You may be called back."

Audrey nodded, placing her special lenses on. "Got it."

No longer then a minute, Venus was stepping off the tube in Africa.

"Amazing..." She mumbled. She was caught by surprise as her communicator went off. She pulled it from her belt, opening it.

"Venus, it's Nightwing. Your about 23.6 miles from the heart of the fire," He reported. "There should be an automatic vehicle in the military hanger; Get there," He commanded.

Venus nodded, turning off her communicator. She raced towards the hanger, placing her hand on the door. It scanned, made several questionable clicking noises before the door unlocked.

She squinted, looking into darkness, until the lights turned on in order.

She stood, impressed by the mass of utility weapons and vehicles inside the hanger.

She looked around before finding a upgraded safari drove out of the hanger, pulling out her communicator.

She shifted the jeep into drive, pressing hard against the gas pedal to the direction of the fire.

She kept driving. The smoke was thicker and darker, signs she was nearing the heart. The smell of burnt grass cloaked the area, and ashes littered the sky like falling leaves.

She drove on, until bit of fire could be seen. She looked on. She gasped as a village laid in the fire's trail. The people screamed in disarray, fleeing from there homes. She jumped out the car, stumbling and clinging to the ground, pulling herself up.

She raced too, praying she wasn't too late. She could feel anxiety and determination fill her body.

"please, please, please!" She thought to herself. "For once, do it!" She begged herself.

Her boy body felt this sudden tinge, and she growled as she focused her energy.

She pumped herself up, adrenaline running throughout her body.

The energy she had started to form in her body felt like tingles all over her body. Her skinned turned yellow, and her hair became fire.

She ran into the wildfire. She stopped, taking a deep breath; she placed her hands out to her sides, opening her palms.

She focused on the flames around her. She drew them into her body, pulling them slowly from the surrounding area.

She felt relief she was almost done. She finally got a mission done all by herself.

She raised her hands, until something shot into her, sending her flying.

"Gah!" she yelled in pain. The remaining fire began to spread again, taking back what it had charred.

Her fiery coat and hair left, reverting back to her normal suit. She pulled out her communicator, punching in numbers desperately as she took cover behind a rock.

Nightwing stood by Blue Beetle and Captain Atom. Blue was explaining MMD's. Somehow, Luthor knew, and was willing to share his knowledge with the League.

Nightwing looked on, until his communicator went off. The red light blinked, and he quickly pressed a button, an image appearing on the screen.

"Nightwing!" Venus's voice called out. She stood in a blazing field, clutching the communicator.

"Somethings here, causing the fire. " She said into the communicator. "I don't have a visual."

" Venus, listen carefully," Nightwing commanded. "It's a reach tech machine. You have to take down the drones, and someone will be sent as soon as they can with an virus to shut it down."

"I'll try Night-" The communication was cut short, a static screen replacing the transmit.

Nightwing turned to Blue and Atom, scowling. "We need to hurry."

Venus rolled out of the way as the communicator had been shot out of her hand. She jumped, running. She stumbled, taking cover behind a rock. She tried to focus, pull out her smoldering coat of yellow blaze; To no avail.

She made her hands into a fists, letting them burn. She jumped out from the rock, punching a bug-like droid. The blazing heat of her fist instantly melted its metal suiting, making it a soft punch.

She dodged a blast. Without her fiery body, she wasn't as powerful as before. She kept dodging, throwing fire balls at her opponent.

The bug robot suddenly morphed, little holes sprouting from her back.

Venus jumped and dodged, throwing a fireball. She went to jump again, but a sudden, excruciating, stinging pain hit her shoulder, and she fell mid-jump.

She gasped in pain on the ground, clutching shoulder. She grit her teeth, before staggering to up.

There, in front of her stood the robot, ready to take her down once and for all.

"You have to hurry," Nightwing said into a communicator. "We've lost complete communication with her. We have no idea what going on with the MMD."

"Don't worry, I'll be there soon,"

"Hurry," Nightwing clicked the communicator off, anxious.

As she got up on her knee, she looked up, the robot floating over her, readying its bullets. She stared defiantly, before shooting a fire ball. Before it could get any closer however, a bright blue beam shot it, sending piece flying threw the air.

She turned, smiling in relief as her teammate flew over.

"Blue!" She gasped relieved.

He helped her up, pulling out a blue tube.

"This virus should stop the MMD machine," He placed a hand on her shoulder, a dead serious look on his face.

"You have to stop this fire. Its going to get back to the village," He said.

Venus nodded.

Blue flew towards the floating device. Venus pulled herself up, gasping as she pulled her hand away from her hurt shoulder.

She relaxed her mind. She could feel the fire pulling towards her. She cringed inward, before gasping as the fire instantly pulled towards her, completely disappearing.

She turned, seeing Blue place the tube on the device. It dropped to the ground, now just a a pile of junk.

Venus looked relieved, before the pain she had ignored instantly raced back into her memory. She grabbed her arm again, sitting back on the rock.

Blue walked over, finding his way threw the smoke.

"Your shoulder," He started. Venus looked at it. The injury bled somewhat, and looked like a deep swept cut.

"It must've grazed it," He stated. His armor shifted, and a pocket opened, revealing first aid equipment.

"Now, hold still Hermana," He said, "I apologize in advance."

Venus clenched her teeth as Blue sewed the wound. She hissed during times, but it was never too terrible.

"I am done," He smiled, getting up. "But, it will be sore for awhile."

Venus was wiping her utility belt.

"So does this mean it's over?" She asked.

"No," Blue explained. "While in Taos, Impulse and I discovered another MMD; In Antarctica" He explained.

"Now what?" Venus asked.

Blue looked over to her. He had serious, almost saddened eyes.

"We pray we're no too late."

Venus stared, speechless.

"We must go; They will need all the help they can get."
